If they like, they should resign. As long as the President believes the people he has chosen are capable of making their presence in the cabinet count, then I have no issues. Nigerian politics has taught me something overtime; no one should be called a thief until it is proven in a competent court of law. Jonthan, Mama Peace, NOI, FFK, Doyin Okupe, Obasanjo, Tinubu, and a host of others are still innocent until the book of remembrance gets to them. Whoever has issues with Amaechi being on the list can as well make a case and expect that he/she wins. |
I've stopped complaining over old men being recycled in Nigeria's politics. Reason for this is nor far-fetched; youths behave like their brain is on strike just because they stand to get stipends from corrupt public officials. NANS and most SUGs would readily lick a55es for a living as long as the pay is good. |
zexzy:Not only were they dumb, they were also intimidated. Some people are that way. It was obvious they were intimidated from the moment they asked about Obasanjo's foreign policy. It was like they hated his confidence and gut. It stopped being an interview the moment one of the educated illiterates said the OP was speaking grammar. Perhaps they had some candidates at the back of their minds. Lalasticlala Seun... Kindly help put this on FP. Thanks. |
dejt4u:Nice ... Hope you made photocopies of it? I mean enough copies. |
It's official! They've made Saraki the most unfortunate politician in 2015 ![]() . He cannot escape all these stones. |
dejt4u:Congrats bro! I hope those annoying porters did not strain you? |
October 13 has been slated as the date for screening by the Senate. Wailers, please treat your voices properly before next week Tuesday ![]() ![]() ![]() |
chukwudi44:Pa Chuks, the earlier you start dealing with reality the better... Here's the pattern of your wail on Amaechi from day one. 1. Amaechi is only using Rivers state money to fund the APC, he'd be dumped very soon. 2. He has been used! We said it! Hahahahaha!!! Who is the loser now. Buhari and the APC have used Amaechi. 3. There's no way Amaechi would make the ministerial list, he's too corrupt for Buhari to consider him. 4. How can Amaechi be included? This Change is fake! Thank God, the senators from Rivers will kill his political career. There's no way he'd make it. 5. ? But guess what? We know how number five (5) will play out. Amaechi would become a minister and the wailings would only grow louder, Apkabio will join them and 21st would come We all know whose judgement it is on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd![]() |
ststyreal:Says who, you I laugh in tongues. You'd do what the president has done if you were in his shoes. Political compensation or not, he has chosen those he believes he can work with. I think the earlier we start dealing with that, the better. And please trust me on this, if there's another election tomorrow with Buhari as the APC presidential candidate, he'd trash the PDP and their candidate time and over again.I'm waiting for Prof. Pat Utomi's name on the list. |
Gboliwe:It's very obvious! Without meeting him up close, it's obvious Apkabio is a very stubborn fellow. He started almost with rage and the SP even tried to make him keep quiet but it didn't work. Akpabio is needed in the Senate. He even said "Amaechi on the list? When we were on the other side 15 years ago, they said we're corrupt and now they're bringing Amaechi into the list". Immediately, the SP said "Erhm... That's okay, that's okay...". While some senators were laughing hard with a new song on their lips "Is Amaechi now diligent?" Akpabio is indeed stubborn! |
For all it's worth, the PDP caucus, the same as some members of the APC are hell bent on frustrating the president's ministerial list. |
It's on NTA as well... Ngige makes the list! |
Akpabio has raised an issue. According to him, the list is incomplete; he charged the Senate president to know when the next batch would be ready. Akpabio's claim is that a 21-man list is not in any way constitutional. |
It's quite obvious some senators are prepared for the President. |
Senators are having a laugh at the inclusion of Rotimi Amaechi on the list. A senator could be heard at the background saying "Is Amaechi diligent?" |
Senator Godswill Akpabio is currently countering the list. According to him, the constitution states that "Ministers must be selected across the 36 states" |
Lai Mohammed, Fashola, Fayemi and Amaechi makes the list! |
The President just read the list LIVE on TVC! TVC Entertainment @TVC_Ent HAPPENING NOW: Senate President Bukola Saraki reads names of ministerial nominees sent by President Muhammadu Buhari http://www.tvcontinental.tv/livestreaming https://twitter.com/TVCNews_Africa?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

EbukaLive:Hehehehehehe Dem kuku dey joke, na provoke I just provoke ontop the matter![]() |
likila:If you like, convulse from now to the end of the world, the president will go in and come out unscathed. Perhaps you think he is Goodluck Jonathan, shey? You just wait and see how the likes of you would come back to Nairaland and shout "ojoro" later. |
harristo:Nice suggestion though. I'm sure the president has sound, competent and strategic people around him who would advise him in the best way possible. |
In the interest of Nigerians, it would be better for the Speaker to stop his silly actions in attempting to interfere with the law. Saraki has pleaded not guilty (Setup #1) and he only need wait for October 21 for to prove his innocence. While Dogara may be acting as a man with little or no integrity, the 'mere commissioner' and the President, I'm sure would not want to be on the wrong side of the masses. Saraki should stop running around like a helpless mother whose baby is dying. No one will help him. I don't see the president interfering with the law. Abubakar Abdulsalam who was playing political godfather at some point failed in pleading with PMB to overlook the sins of Alison-Madueke alongside some thieves. If Dogara and Saraki like, he should summon all the Emirs, Imams and Sultans in the North, the law must take its course.

They are regret their actions after they're caught. Her case, alongside the HND student is laced with poverty and madness. The same story ends it "the man who impregnated me rejected the pregnancy and absconded." That moment when heritages become prized possessions and can be sold at will. Senile folks. |
HungerBAD:Dear Lord, see assessment Why art thou wicked son of man![]() ![]() ![]() |
harristo:I knew this from the outset. However, a piece which hit FP yesterday claimed the Senators would still screen the president. It really got me wondering as to how possible that would be. Unfortunately, the constitution did not deem it fit to say something relating to this scenario. I also believe the president would not be screened. After all, nominated Senators are always asked to 'take a bow'. |
harristo:Blame cultism for this madness. Secondary school students already skilled in the art of abduction, I'm sure they picked this from someone. The NPF should pester them to mention names abeg. And the number of married women in the article is disturbing. Rivers need iron hand more than any state in the South-South. |
stinggy:You had better not let looks fool you. If it has been by looks, I'm sure God would have overlooked Lucifer's sins. The mother no try at all. |
Their eyes though. If the mother is eventually found guilty, I think it would be a shame not only to her family but also that of her husband. I'll wait to see where the mother's case leads to. |
jaymejate:I strongly believe it will. The toughest looking people are actually the most sensitive. The president knows that his 'Change' mantra would be ridiculed and consider lies if he goes ahead to anoint whoever the anti-graft agencies consider guilty. |
NextGovernor:Is TB Joshua God Is he himself clean? Last I checked, his bribery scandal/guest house has not be visited ever since. Perhaps you've forgotten, some of us have not. Abeg, don't bring what is not here.@ the topic, I believe anti-graft agencies should step in. Whoever is found guilty should not only be prevented from becoming a minister but should be made to face the law. We've dealt with excess mediocrity in the past and we cannot tow that same line in this dispensation. |
I'm beginning to think all our corrupt politicians should be tried in the UK since ours are just terribly corrupt to put a guilty politician behind bars. On Diezani's issue, she should be serviced with 15-20 years since she serviced her mortgaged house with our money. Now I'm beginning to understand why Patience Jonathan said "I don't want to serve my husband food in prison". Nigeria and the UK should not just stop at the Hyde house investigation. They should beam more light under the skirt of Alison-Madueke to try those who stole from the Nation's coffer as well, be it her family, friends, former ministers, former first lady, and even the president. If NOI is implicated as well, she should resign from wherever she is and face the law. No one should be spared. |
babaijesha1:Note, before you call on the powers of deductive reasoning, I believe it would interest you to know that both were in the PDP. Alams is an Ijaw man from the South-South. Obasanjo would have destroyed all forms of relationship with the Ijaw people, and I'm sure you remember that the Vice President to the late Musa Yar'Adua is an Ijaw man, a former "boy" to the same Alams. Obasanjo may be good at playing chess, but he was never an anti-corruption crusader. It only seemed so when someone falls out with him and he needs to make the person suffer, then the EFCC comes alive all of a sudden. As "insignificant" as most people think the South-South is in the political sphere. I make bold to say it's quite powerful than one, if not two of the three major ethnic group we have.
