Nigerian used cars are subjected to the harshest conditions possible. Bad roads, bad fuel, bad driving, bad mechanic, bad oil. A days driving in Nigeria may be equivalent to a year's driving in the US in terms of wear and tear on the car. ![]() |
@ Fhemmy, Impressive analysis |
and you sound like a dissatisfied employee that was kicked off the globacom conglomeratesConglo what ?? ![]() |
yes. . . .let's keep comparing the actual thing that has happened to a figment of your own imagination. . . . .it has never been reported yet mike adenuga travels around the country with truckloads of mopol or elite bodyguards. . . . .and even if he does, i am yet to see a report that his bodyguards have bullied innocent people. . . . .nigerians love to create/fabricate a story where there is none. the topic is about paddy adenuga and his entourage - nothing to do with his dad. if and when mike adenuga's entourage is accused of any unruly behaviour then you can start doing the comparison to aliko dangote. but for now, save it!You sound like an apology of a beneficiary, |
Thank you bro

What? If paddy is running around with mobile policemen, then we do not need seers to tell us that Mike Adenuga himself (Arrogance Personified) would have truckloads of mopols and elite bodyguards guarding him. Now compare that to Dangote whom I've personally seen up-close walking around a crowded wedding venue without a single bodyguard in tow. That means we may not see Dangote's daughters parading themselves around town with mopols like that big-headed Paddy. So like-for-like, Dangote is humbler than Adenuga in every sense - even though he is also richer and more popular than Adenuga in every sense. So I don't see how we can justify Paddy's abuse of the tax-payer funded police institution because he is Adenuga's son. WTF.] |
coogar compare like for like. paddy adenuga is still a young chap. don't compare him to a family man like aliko dangotePaddy Adenuga comes from a family too. |
The mention of Dangote has compelled me to agree that humility and arrogance are by the nature of the individual. Dangote was so ordinary at the airport the other day, i mistook him for one of the mallams changing currencies there. |
Answer my questions the ALLknow B737 pilot.Half educated baboon |
Maybe you should be courtious and be mannered when posting. Insulting others does not prove your point. What do you smoke? |
@ Omo Tier 1 Do not come here and post trash!- Venturi principle my foot-Chei!! the insult one has to cope with on Nairaland. However, ive been flying the B737 probably before you were born and when i come across characters like you, i just see another half educated baboon. 1. The 737 is a short/medium haul airplane and thus does not have a fuel dumping system. 2. NCAA will revoke a pilots licence if they have to do so. 3. I did not say i knew the problem the said Arik airplane encountered. 4. I stick to my guns where the venturi principle is concerned in aiding the dispensation of fuel during dumping. |
@ George D You certainly dont wish to give up. Happy motoring. |
@ George D Yeah, but CVT was not the only reason i gave why people love the Murano. "People" should actually be exclusively ladies though. Its a woman's vehicle. |
@ George D. well, exactly the reason which oti-gba gave: crowd mentality - everybody wants to own oneThe first thing about the Murano appeal is the look. Ive not seen any mid SUV with a sexier look. The curves are great, styling is posh, appeal is total. Second is the car like handling unlike its contemporaries eg: the Honda Pilot and Mitsubishi Freelander. Performance is great. 3.5 litres powering that light weight. Acceleration is a thrill. Then the innovative Continuous Variable Timing automatic gear. Last is affordability. It doesnt come at the same price as the "heavies"eg: Lexus RX 300, Mercedes 450 Fantasticolation ![]() |
My guess is that she wanted to appeal for public funds under the pretence that she had so many to take care of; and the money will start pouring in from sympathetic people including the president's wife, governors, NGOs etc. Give me intelligence any day, my good Lord. |
Warri, Nigeria. Posts: 8593 personally i think muranos are highly overated.Whats the problem? |
@ Costee I own a 2004 Murano and ive not had any issues so far during my one year of using it but i attribute this to my fair knowledge of motor vehicles and constant research into its maintenance dos and donts via the internet. Our local mechanics have absolutely no clue, some of the so-called Nissan franchise mechanics are just as bad and i actually found myself putting them through some know-how during my inevitable contact with them. |

Any seriously interested person should give a reasonable offer. The land is mine and i can afford to be flexible. |

Since you guys wont stop messing around with this topic i shall therefore intervene to clear some delicate points. 1. NCAA issues pilots licences and can revoke same if necessary. 2. With an engine failure on a twin engined aircraft you stand a very good chance of maintaining flight to the nearest airport to make a landing. 3. Fuel dumping is mostly gravity fed with some assistance from aerodynamic flow as a result of the venturi principle. 4. Following an all-engine failure, the APU i.e the Auxilliary Power Unit can be started and which then acts as an electric generator to power electric hydraulic pumps and aircraft electrical systems. 5. A well maitained airplane is a pilots joy regardless of the airplane's age. Automation in modern airplanes is actually a plus towards the enhancement of safety in an overall context. 6. Conclusion: you are all mumus. |
The prices that are "allegedly" crashing are the Nigerian used not the Tokunbo ones and therefore require no additional "shipping and clearing costs." So if a used one abroad costs 1.4m, and it's the same here now for a used one, then as Lastpage reasons, that's just the second-hand value of the car locally. After all if you were to resell the Nigerian used abroad (lol) the cost value would increase as the importer there would have to add shipping costs, etc.Almost all Muranos come into Nigeria as Tokunbos. So the term "Nigerian used " is just as good as saying used here after serving abroad. A foreign used at 1.4m has much more value than that which has been used there and here in spite of the same price tag that they carry. No Murano can leave our shores to be sold there, ultimately we have to consider the fact that bringing the same Murano here will attract the shipping, clearing and the profit to be made from the sale. Hence, we cannot make such direct comparisons. Why they are going for that same price here is because they are "vegetables" having suffered from mis-use. |
@ Lastpage Im not a car dealer but the prices youve seen are not inclusive of shipping and clearing costs to Nigeria. |

@Tondifari Why dont you check the condition of the vehicle etc. |

Nissan Murano is a great SUV if only proper maintenance is given it, just like any other vehicle. The most dodgy issue lies in the gear oil. Put the wrong stuff and your transmission goes. Next is to put it up for sale at a low price for quick sale. Thats why Murano is becoming cheap. Bye. |
Nairaland must boast of the most ill-informed aviation analysts in the entire world. Must everybody claim to be in the know? So much rubbish talk, |
Its a shame getting paid for having so much fun, pilot speaking ![]() |
No similarity because they are the same people. |
But then again i might just be ignorant.
