2. Cheap popularity in the eyes of the largely uninformed citizens of their states.
3. Mr. Governor's private jet can land at "home" rather than where he still has a road trip ahead.
4. Family and cronies are given juicy positions to embezzle airport fees and charges.
5. Governor can boast about how he built an aiport until the day he dies.
