Did you get any material information? Do you mind to share?

We are still dragging the matter. I am about to report them to EFCC but just compiling evidence. Horrible experience with them

Dullard you gave me a job there.

Na now your sense wake up?

I am losing brain cells with each reply to you, so I'll stop wasting my time. If you don't work for them, why are you defending them?

Did you read the date on that post?

Make una dey use sense sometimes.

What does the date matter? If they are a fraudulent outfit then everyone should know. You clearly work for them so you’re also fraudulent by association. So if you have nothing meaningful to say learn to keep quiet.

Hello,

I would like to report this company, Bstan homes. They took my money and offered me land that was never in their possession. Very fraudulent and now they refuse to refund us. Could you please get in touch and I can send anyone evidence of this. Please don’t fall in their trap.

I purchased a plot of land from Bstan homes a few months ago and they advertised it as being in a fantastic location at the entrance to life camp. After two months, they then advised us that they never had access to that plot of land and offered to relocate us to a remote plot in life camp. After a month, that remote plot was demolished by FCDA stating they have land disputes with all their neighbours.

Our lawyers have requested a refund but Bstan are refusing with no logical reason. They apparently have many active cases in court at the moment.

We made a serious mistake investing with them and I would recommend for anyone else to steer clear. Please reach out to me if you want any more details including letters, pictures etc. They are another unreliable and potentially fraudulent establishment unfortunately.

Where in London do you live? Dial 0300 123 2040 and report.

Did you meet her in person? If you didn’t crazy to give out your cc details like that. Crazy.

I am based in Lewisham. Thanks for the number, I will call them. Although I gave her the credit card to pay for her "brother's surgery", I found out later that the same hospital offer plastic surgery which is when I got suspicious. I hope I have a legal argument to recover my money

While still searching for his whereabouts. Put pressure on family and friends by getting the guarantors arrested and taking the case to court. People make money not only to survive but also for their family and friends.

Thanks man... good advice. We will follow up.

No guarantors no back ground check. No tracker

Too many Nos.

Bros. we have guarantor, we did background check, we know ALL his family members yet he still felt bold enough to do this. The only "no" is that tracker.

The driver looks like a womanizer and someone who plays bet9ja a lot, who knows if he has staked the car in betting shop grin

For his sake, he'd better have won something from that stake or it'll be the most expensive bet he's ever placed.

Just only a single picture of him? And what about the car picture?

Yes, only one picture unfortunately. For the next driver we will have to do full frontal/side pictures and portraits in case something like this happens.

maybe he got in trouble who knows??

There are three vulcanisers within a mile of the house and he didn't visit any of them (we checked with all three). The fact that he also switched off his phone... we are convinced that it's stolen at this point.

The man in the picture is known as Kuti Chuwang and he resides in Jos, but is also known to stay in Adamawa occasionally. He has been our driver for only 4 months.

On the fateful morning of Saturday the 9th of September, this man lied that we had a flat tire which he needed to fix immediately. We let him go with the car and now he has disappeared and switched off his phone. None of his friends and relatives have heard from him either.

We have reported him to the police and road safety but please let us know if you see him or the car. We will be paying a handsome reward for information leading to his capture or retrieval of the car. Please call 0803-703-4904 if you have information.

The stolen car is a blue Toyota FJ Cruiser Reg: ABC 912 AA.

Business / Re: How Naira Went From N525/$1 To N400/$1 In 3 Days by SangoCrusader: 9:50am On Feb 25, 2017
Naira is still a fundamentally weak currency, and the underlying confidence is still low. This is a temporary rebound, and it will settle back at N500 to $1 in about a month, mark my words!

Career / Re: Why Do Lawyers Wear The Wig And Gown? Here Is Why by SangoCrusader: 8:59am On Jan 18, 2017
Kamadoye:

The legal profession as we know it has its own peculiar traditions most of which are from antiquity. An instance of this is the wig and gown which has quite become the de rigueur for members of the Nigerian Legal profession. Most law students can’t seem to understand why a feminine attire like the wig and gown would become the norm for everyone. Why can’t we just don our fashionable suits with a little pizazz when appearing before courts like we see in the movies ? The history behind the practice of wearing this rather outlandish garb dates back to the 18th century where it had once been a status symbol distinguishing members of the noble profession from the rest of the populace. It’s something that has been handed down the years until we eventually inherited it from Britain as part of our colonial common law heritage (although in most countries there have been minor modifications). A lot of reasons have been cited for why lawyers today still wear the wig and gown (most of which I still laugh over).

(1) It was originally designed to distinguish members of the legal profession from other members of society.

(2) It brought authority, formality, dignity and solemnity of the law

(3) It emphasizes on the objectivity of the law and deflects personal attention from the judge. (Surely judges can’t be seen to be flamboyant)

(4) With respect to the judiciary, it is designed to bring anonymity to the judge and help them hide their identity.

(5) It was introduced in the past for hygienic reasons

Do you think it should be done away with? Lets here your thoughts then

Go to law student hub for more

This is not true!

I recently watched a documentary on BBC. They wore the wigs in the past as it was the fashion of the day. As time went on, the profession became accustomed to dressing that way and things simply have not changed.

All thee symbolism above is ridiculous. Those were definitely not the reasons.
