Successjoy: Collegeboard has a partnership with Khan Academy to provide world class FREE practice for everyone. The six practice tests on khanacademy/sat are the same with the ones on the sat.collegeboard.org and also the same in the official SAT study guide. But khan stimulates the actual exam by timing each section and the practice is tailored to improve your weak areas. They have thousand of official sat questions from collegeboard in their database. The website also enables you to track your skill progress and Review your weakness. Goodluck in your practice. |

Successjoy: Hello dear, The SAT is not difficult as you may assume. The SAT has been redesigned (REDESIGNED SAT) which started by March 2016. This new SAT has only two sections which are Evidence Based Reading and writing section, and Maths section. The negative scoring in which a quarter mark is deducted when answered wrongly has stoped. This new SAT is one raw point for each correct answer and no point removed from wrong answer. Though this new one has limited time, but you can ace it. The have stoped using obscure words in the reading part. The answer to the reading part lies in the long passages. You have to be very very fast in reading because you gona read 5 passages of about 700 words each and answer 52 questions all within 65mins. Speed and precision is the key. The writing part is just about sentence correction and standard English conventions, 4 passages to edit with 44 questions in 35 mins. The last section which is Maths section has two parts: No calculator part which is 20 questions(15 objectives and 5 grid in) for 25 mins. Then the calculator part which is 38 questions (30 objectives and 8 grid in) for 55mins. Then finally, the Essay is optional, but it's all about analysis of a given passage,50 mins if you wanna take it. I never got the New SAT book, I got all six practice tests from collegeboard website which is the same in the book, I printed them out, though it cost me a lot, about 2 packs of A4 paper. I practiced daily using the Khan Academy official practice for SAT. My first SAT was a score of 1160 over 1600, October 2016 test date, was low for me. My second nd final attempt was December 2016 with a score of 1320 over 1600. Was a high score in the 93 percentile. I encourage you, you can do it, it requires dedication, efforts and good time management, plus smartness. Good luck dear. I wish you the best. Success! 9 Likes |

Please I thought an I-20 is issued immediately an admission is offered, why the long wait till May? Please I need to know what to do because I wanna get an early appointment date for an interview, latest by May 1 Like |

And if this attitude of criticism continues here, it may discourage successful participants from dropping their interview transcripts here, which is a bad development especially for future applicants. I don't know why we Nigerians always take things extra mile and causing undue headache to others. Pls have a rethink. 2 Likes |

Hello friends, Please it's not advisable to cram interview answers and questions while preparing for interview at the Embassy. The worst thing that can happen to such person is memory loss as a result of tension and fear there at the Embassy. You will go totally blank if not God's grace. The best is to practical with the questions and develop a structure for providing your answers. Let you know the reason for any question from the VO and that will guide you on providing the best answer. Questions can be asked in many formats and ways. Just know what the VO intends getting from any question asked. And pls be truthful. I strongly discourage cramming. Chiezzh I pray you succeed this time around. Get prepared for the worst and expect the best. HOPE in the face of difficulty. HOPE in the face of uncertainty. The Audacity of HOPE. There is always Hope. And don't forget to call on GOD. 9 Likes 1 Share |

It is also important to note that some schools already have a template of the affidavit of sponsorship, you just download it/them and have your sponsor fill it, sign it and notariz it. That saves the time of writing a letter or looking for form I-134. 4 Likes |

KELVIN086: Most schools require us to submit just two ducuments: 1. Official Bank statement of Acct with more than the min amount indicated by the admission office 2. Notarized Affidavit of Support from the person who will be sponsoring your studies in the states, if you are not the one sponsoring yourself. If you are to be sponsored, then submit your sponsors bank statement as item 1. with his/her name clearly indicated as the acct owner. But if you are sponsoring your self, you don't need item 2. but your name must be indicated as the acct owner in the statement of acct. Pls note that the bank statement must be signed and stamped by the bank authority. Your affidavit of sponsorship can be in the form of a letter written by your sponsor and addressed to your university, or it can be the form I-134 (official affidavit of sponsorship) which ever your sponsor decides to use, it most be NOTARIZED. |

Hello beloved people, Please I am really traped in the WES Evaluation process. My documents has been sent back to waec for verification, for weeks now no change in the status of the evaluation. I guess waec hasn't received any document from them. I have been writing to them, demanding for a courier service to send the docs so as to expedite the process, but all my emails goes unanswered; I only receive an automated acknowledgement message. I am beginning to regret using WES for Evaluation, their own protocol is too long. The deadline for applications from international students is Dec. 1st in the school I applied to, and all documents must be received by the deadline. I have sent everything, but just this evaluation, and it's compulsory to be submitted. Please do anyone have an idea of how I can contact WES, they are just frustrating my efforts here. |

Good day everyone! Please I wanna ask a little question. After filling applications to the schools and paying all application fees, in the case that admission decision is made, will I receive my I-20 right away from all schools that offered me admission, or will I be required to pay enrollment fees before an I-20 can be generated? Thanks everyone |

Horlopz: Thanks a lot for your help. I am really grateful. Yes my documents were sent from the WAEC Head Office at Lagos (I learnt they are the only ones that can send documents to institutions abroad, branch offices are not authorized for such duties) but an order can be placed through a branch office, which will send your application and necessary documents to Lagos, while it's processed from Lagos head office and then sent abroad. That's exactly what I did through the umuahia branch office, and my documents were courier ed directly to WES by Lagos Head office. I hope if I order for a courier from WES to send my docs to WAEC, the verification will be done immediately and courier ed back to WES by WAEC without any additional fee. I can't wait for standard posting, it takes years. I have limited time. Thanks once again. I appreciate so much. |
