Sorry about your refusal.

The major reasons for your refusal was based on purpose of visit and Immigration status in country of residence.. Going through your profile, I noticed that you're heading for a second masters degree in Canada. How was your SOP like, was there any justifiable reasons to why you're going for a second masters degree in Canada at this stage in life instead of a Phd to show progression. Your SOP will go a long run to tackle your purpose of visit and intent to study.

Immigration status in country of residence:
If you're not holding a work permit or a study permit in Malaysia, you don't have the legal status to apply for a student visa to Canada from there. You will always be denied if you keep trying to apply from Malaysia. You would be better off leaving Malaysia and applying from outside of Canada (i.e Nigeria). You have a higher chance of approval if you apply from your home country.

The rest of the refusal grounds current employment situation, personal assets and financial status can be tackled using this medium THE REST OF YOUR REFUSAL GROUNDS

I have a BSc in industry chemistry.....Nigeria, MSc in the science of occupational HSE....UK. I currently own a business in the fashion industry.
I got admission for an 2yr MBA program in Canada for January 2018 but had to defer to may 2018

Online application 29th January 2018
Biometrics 2nd February
Medical mail 1 March
Medicals done 6th march
Medicals passed 12th march
Approval/PPR 22nd march

Documents submitted

All CIC forms
Conditional offer of admission
1st semesters tuition (requested by the university)
Unofficial transcript (BSc&MSc)
SOA from my dad
Proof of CAC registration
Curriculum vitae and all Certificates mentioned on my CV
Detailed LOE
I used my Hubby as home ties.

Thanks to this fourm as I always thought it was very difficult to obtain a Canadian study permit as I've had friends that where denied. I tought it was only achievable if you use an agent.

The bolded is okay to show proof of relationship with maternal uncle, to clear all doubts of the visa officer try provide previous/past financal support from your uncle i.e payment of tuition fees in the past, transfers of funds from your uncle account to yours in the past Add your uncle birth certificates too and his int'l passport bio data page.

You can add your mom church marriage certificate is okay. Thanks so much Mr Frank but the point remains that my uncle didnt pay any of those things you mentioned. It just occur to me and my husband of recent may be my Uncle can stand as my sponsor. My husband didnt have enough fund to show for sponsorship. What do we do?

how should i go about my study gap if i should choose the bolded one? question 4 is about previous issued passport because am presently on my second passport. i dont know if i should present the previous with my application or i should just use the new one? what is d validity for police certificate? can i use two months dated police cert?

Welcome to the forum.

Answer 1-) The both will scale through, but the bolded will be easier and will help your case here. But you must account for your study gaps while going through this route.

Answer 2-) Your passion and full interest towards your home country will go a long way in convincing the visa officer that you will return after your studies. Show sufficient ties to your home country i.e. what will compel you to return home?
1-) Do you have a spouse and kids(minors) and are you leaving them behind?
2-) Do you have elderly parents who depend on you?
3-) Do you own businesses/property that you need to continue managing?
4-) Do you have adequate funds?
5-) Do you have family members whom are not accompanying you to Canada?

Answer 3-) The bolded is the best option here. Apply alone, while your family stay back as a strong tie to your country. Once you get there, its very easy to bring them into Canada.

Answer 4-) Do you mean to say if your passport will be submitted along with your application?
Online applicants don't need to submit their passport after application submission, after successful review of applicant application a request for passports will surface. While,
Paper route applicant you have to submit your passport along with your application.

Answer 5-) There is no limited number of pages you must have on your SOP. It really boils down on applicant personal circumstances and situations. An ideal SOP should be straight forward and precise with at least 2-3 pages.

Answer 6-) If you're legally residing in China, let say with a study visa, you don't necessarily need to come back to Nigeria before you can apply for visa. Apply in china and save your self from Nigeria application scrutiny by the Visa officer, with less processing time.

I am new on here but i normally read through, I have applied for Student visa late last year and got approved January 10th this year, on the 20th of January I submitted application for my wife for SOWP, she got a medical request mail exactly one month after, medical was done and her account was update for medical passed and also update as they do not need additional documents. two days now she is yet to receive Passport Request Mail after the medical was done and passed. unlike my own I got my passport request instantly. Please any advice. thanks
