Child lock is activated manually on the back doors, if both doors had child lock, couldn't she have climbed into either of the front seats to get out? She obviously had enough time to reach out and grab the keys from the ignition, she could have used that same time to climb out through the front seat door if indeed she was under any threat

All things being equal(manufacturer recommended engine oil:nil overheating:fair driving style:etc),a 6cylinder engine will last more than it i4 counterpart,just like a group of 6 ppl pushing a particular car will get tired less easily when compared to a group of 4 ppl pushing d exact car.

Very clear, I am a fan of i4 engines only because of fuel economy, but with this the 6cylinder is looking better, I don't think the difference in fuel consumption of the v6 will be all that more than the i4 engine

There is no difference in the pricing of v6 and i4, besides the v6 is sturdy rarely develops fault.
