Celebrities / Iphone 6 Has Began To Develop Permanent Faults by sanyablaze(m): 11:39pm On Sep 25, 2014 |
The new iPhone 6 Plus is being hailed by analysts as one of Apple's most durable smartphones to date, able to withstand a myriad of drops, dunks and other extreme " torture tests" performed by professionals and consumers alike. According to gadget insurer SquareTrade's breakability index, the 5.5-inch " phablet" can survive being scratched by wood, dropped from a distance of four feet, and even submerged underwater for up to 10 seconds with little to no damage. Unfortunately for skinny jean-clad Apple fans, it would appear that there's at least one thing the 6 Plus simply can't stand up to: tight pants. No she didn’t want bigger boobs. No she didn’t want a bigger butt. This is Jasmine Tridevil, a 21 year old massage therapist, who just dropped $20,000 for a surgeon to put a third breast on her chest. Yes, a third breast. Tridevil reportedly went to over 50 doctors trying to get the surgery done but none was willing to do the procedure because according to her, "It was really hard finding someone that would do it too because they're breaking the code of ethics.” Another reason for this bizarre surgery was because of men, "I got it because I wanted to make myself unattractive to men. Because I don't want to date anymore," she said." Most guys would think it's weird and gross. But I can still feel pretty because if I wore makeup and cute clothes, I can still, you know...feel pretty 1 Share

Celebrities / See NoPHONE : The Plastic Android Phone That Cures Phone Addiction by sanyablaze(m): 1:26pm On Sep 20, 2014 |
If you’re secretly worried about your smartphone addiction, then the new NoPhone might be just the thing you need. It’s the perfect smartphone placebo – it looks and feels exactly like a smartphone, but it does nothing. It’s just a piece of plastic that you can carry around in your hand to fool yourself. NoPhone is currently a prototype that will cost a measly $12 once it hits the market. Its makers are trying to raise $30,000 on Kickstarter in order to cover production and marketing costs. They describe the device as a ‘technology-free alternative to constant hand-to-phone contact that allows you to stay connected with the real world’. Dutch designer Ingmar Larsen, who helped create the NoPhone, said that he conceived the idea as a joke along with his friends Van Gould and Ben Langveld. To their great surprise, the idea received a lot of attention online and people from all over the world started placing requests for NoPhones of their own. So that’s when the three friends decided to turn to Kickstarter to fund mass production. The NoPhone is 5.5 inches high, 2.6 inches wide and 0.29 inches thick, bringing it quite close to the latest smartphones on the market. The Kickstarter campaign pitch is quite cheeky and amusing to read – under features, they’ve mentioned things like ‘battery free’, ‘no upgrades necessary’, ‘shatterproof’ and ‘waterproof’. Their FAQs address the most important question: “Is this a joke?” To which their answer is, “No.” “Phone addiction is real,” they insist. “And it’s everywhere. It’s ruining your dates. It’s distracting you at concerts. It’s disrupting you in movie theaters. It’s clogging up sidewalks. Now, there is a real solution.” “With a thin, light and completely wireless design, the NoPhone acts as a surrogate to any smart mobile device, enabling you to always have a rectangle of smooth, cold plastic to clutch without forgoing any potential engagement with your direct environment. Never again experience the unsettling feeling of flesh on flesh when closing your hand.” And there are testimonials, too: “With the NoPhone, my eye contact skills have improved 73%,” Whitney R insisted. “Because of the NoPhone, I haven’t drunk texted my ex-boyfriend in one whole week,” wrote Craig G. David H said: “I used to sleep with my phone in my hand, but my night terrors would cause me to hurl it across the room in an unconscious panic. With the NoPhone, I can still enjoy the comfort of holding a phone in my sleep, without waking up to a shattered screen. Thanks, NoPhone.” If you’re interested in NoPhone, but concerned about not being able to take selfies anymore, don’t fret. The makers do have an upgrade at no extra charge - the mirror sticker. That way, they say, you can enjoy ‘real-time’ selfies with your friends when they’re standing right behind you. Oh, and don’t forget to ‘add a verbal hashtag by syncing your brain and vocal cords’! ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Read NAIJA SEX STORIES Here www.86wiz.com

Phones / See The Android Phone That Is BOMB Proof by sanyablaze(m): 9:52pm On Sep 19, 2014 |
Your new 'tough' phone may survive water splashes but can it deal with explosions? Well, Pixavi Impact X can do. It is one of the toughest phones launched in market and while it may not survive a nuclear explosion, it can definitely deal with exploding batteries. The phone is certified to survive accidental explosions. In terms of hardware, it is not going to set the stage on fire. The Imapct X has a 4.3-inch 800x480 pixels screen, which by modern standards is quite archaic and there is no word on the processor. It's also running a rather old OS -- Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean. It has dual 8-megapixel cameras on the back so the phone always shoots video in landscape mode. That said, like many phones which have dual rear cameras, it does not shoot video in stereoscopic 3D. There's also a large 3,000mAh battery so that it has good longevity. The device is heavy at 200 grams and is quite chubby at 12mm. It is also not available widely. If you want to buy it, you will have to get in touch with Bartect, the company that has made the phone. ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Read NAIJA SEX STORIES Here www.86wiz.com

And they are not borrowed or for advert, he actually owns it...Top Beverly Hills jeweller Jason Arasheben, who created the shoes, told Women's Wear Daily: 'Not very often do I get a request for the most expensive shoes in the world. When Nick approached me last year, he said he wanted to make history and be so over the top.He wanted to set a new standard in diamonds. 'How can we make the most expensive pair of shoes in the world and make this finale special?' he asked me.We didn’t want him looking like Frankenstein when he walked, we still needed to consider functionality. He’s not going to win a race or play basketball with these. It’s still a piece of jewelry. Science/Technology / World’s 10 Most Credible UFO Sightings by sanyablaze(m): 5:00pm On Sep 16, 2014 |
There’s probably nothing more unsettling or startling than seeing an unidentified flying object in the sky. As you see the UFO above your head, your first instinct might be to grab your camera and snap some photos or take a video. Now, we’re not just talking about aliens, but any kind of aircraft that isn’t able to be identified. UFO’s could be anything from extraterrestrials to a military branch testing out some new technology or someone taking a joy ride on a homemade aircraft. UFO sightings can now easily be captured on video, whether it’s through a phone or video camera. With reported sightings more regular than ever, is that there’s more extraterrestrial action going on or is the increase in UFO reports perhaps due to the media exposure which makes it seem like more than what it is? Of course, with many alleged sightings, it’s important to maintain a healthy level of cynicism as some of these UFO reports can probably be debunked with simple familiarity with how video technology works (especially if that UFO ends up being an out-of-focus bug). But there is some UFO video footage that even has the skeptics scratching their heads. Here, we’ve compiled the top ten UFO sightings that could convince even the most cynical non-believer. 10. Battle of Los Angeles – 1942 In February of 1942, the United States was still recovering from the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December of 1941. So, when an unidentified flying object was discovered hovering over the city of Los Angeles, the city went into near panic, as there were hundreds of witnesses. The military got involved, fighter planes were shooting at the UFO, and a spotlight shining on the object as the government was trying to figure out what it was. So why didn’t something like this make headlines around the world? Well, World War II basically took over the media at the time. Politics / 12 Nigerian Soldiers Sentenced To Death For Mutiny by sanyablaze(m): 1:29pm On Sep 16, 2014 |
A court-martial in Abuja on Tuesday sentenced 12 soldiers to death by firing squad for mutiny. The court, which handed the judgment at 1.35 a.m., also handed a one-month jail sentence on a soldier and freed five others. The condemned soldiers are Cpl. Jasper Braidolor, Cpl. David Musa, Lance Cpl. Friday Onun, Lance Cpl. Yusuf Shuaibu, Lance Cpl. Igomu Emmanuel and Pte. Andrew Ngbede. The others are Pte. Nurudeen Ahmed, Pte. Ifeanyi Alukhagbe, Pte. Alao Samuel, Pte. Amadi Chukwudi, Pte. Allan Linus and Lance Cpl. Stephen Clement. The President of the Court, Brig.-Gen. C.C. Okonkwo, while announcing the sentences, however, said that the decisions were subject to “confirmation”. Eighteen soldiers were arraigned on a six-court charge bordering on inciting mutiny against the GOC, 7 Division, Maimalari Barracks in Maiduguri, Maj-Gen. Ahmed Mohammed, on May 14. While five of the accused were discharged and acquitted, Pte. Ichocho Jeremiah was sentenced to 28-day imprisonment with hard labour for being absent without official leave. The 12 condemned men were found guilty of mutiny, which attracts death by firing squad, and also sentenced to life in jail for criminal conspiracy and attempt to commit murder. Cpl. David Luhbut, Cpl. Muhammed Sani, Pte. Iseh Ubong, Pte. Sabastine Gwaba and Pte. Inama Samuel were set free by the court. History of case The soldiers had in May revolted, opening fire at a car carrying the General Officer commanding of the army’s 7 Division in Maiduguri, Borno State. Major-Gen. Mohammed was targeted by the soldiers who blamed him for the deaths of their colleagues. The attack in Maimalari cantonment, on May 14, humiliated the Nigerian military at a time the force came under international spotlight over the abduction of nearly 300 school girls in Chibok by the extremist Boko Haram sect. Official said at the time that the rebellious soldiers were infuriated over the ambushing and killing of their colleagues by Boko Haram – an attack the soldiers blamed their superiors for. In details seen by PREMIUM TIMES, which first reported the court-martial, the soldiers were charged for attempted murder and mutiny. The internal memo, signed by the Commander, Army Headquarter Garrison, B.T. Ndiomu, had ordered the constitution of a General Court Martial, to be presided by C.C Okonkwo, a Brigadier General. Mr. Ndiomu, also a Brigadier General, ordered that the court martial be assembled at the garrison’s conference hall on June 26. The military court was made up of seven members, two waiting members, a judge advocate and two prosecuting officers. Others members include: a liaison officer, a contact officer, two officers authorized to sign any amendment convening officer and eight other soldiers who form a court secretariat. The army accused the soldiers of attempting to kill the GOC, Mr. Mohammed. The soldiers had blamed the general for the deaths of their colleagues killed in an ambush near Chibok. Sources had told PREMIUM TIMES that the soldiers were ambushed while on a special operation in Kalabalge Local Government Area where locals on a Tuesday morning killed about 150 insurgents and arrested 10 others. After the operation, during which some military equipment were recovered from the insurgents, the soldiers, who arrived the operation location at night, were asked to return to Maiduguri. The soldiers reportedly pleaded to be allowed to return to Maiduguri the next morning, as the night trip would be too risky. Their request was allegedly turned down and the troop had to drive to Maiduguri at night. “Those commanding the troop declined their request to pass the night in one of the villages on the grounds that the top ranks at the headquarters of the 7 Division would not be pleased if they don’t go back to Maiduguri that night,” said a ranking soldier, who sought anonymity. The 7 Division, recently formed, is located in Maiduguri, the capital of the troubled Borno State. But halfway through their journey, they ran into a Boko Haram ambush and 12 of them got killed while some others were injured, sources said. The military later claimed that only four soldiers died in the ambush, before it increased the figure to six. The survivors, in what seemed a vengeance mission, launched an attack on their commander, Mr. Mohammed, when they eventually arrived in Maiduguri. Mr. Mohammed, a Major General, was immediately redeployed to another command which the military did not reveal. In its version of the attack on the GOC, the military claimed the soldiers did not shoot at their commander, but merely fired into the air. “The fact of the matter is that troops on patrol around Chibok were ambushed by insurgents yesterday. Troops engaged the insurgents in a fierce combat and extricated themselves from the ambush killing several insurgents. “Four soldiers however lost their lives during the ambush. “On evacuation of the remains of the fallen troops, the General Officer Commanding addressed the troops who registered their anger about the incident by firing into the air,” the military spokesperson, Chris Olukolade, a Major General, had said in a statement. But in the charge sheet signed by Mr. Ndiomu, the army said the soldiers’ bullet only missed General Mohammed by a hair’s breadth, as at least one bullet struck the rear right door of his Sports Utility Vehicle, where the general sat. “In that you on or about 14 May 14 at7 DMSH Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri without justification attempted to kill Maj. Gen. A Mohammed (N/7915), the GOC 7 div( as he then was) by firing shots on his official vehicle (Command Jeep) which hit the right door where he sat,” the charge reads. After the attack in Maiduguri, the Nigerian Army arrested the soldiers and instituted a military board of inquiry into the circumstances surrounding their conduct. The army charged 11 of the 18 soldiers with criminal conspiracy to commit mutiny among others. The soldiers face a six-count charge of committing mutiny, criminal conspiracy to commit mutiny, attempted murder, disobedience to particular orders, insubordinate behaviour contrary to and punishable under the law, and false accusation. The charge sheet read that the soldiers inspired other military personnel of the 101 battalion to commit mutiny and also accused E. Azenda, a Lieutenant colonel, who is the Second in Command of the 101 battalion, of conspiring with other officers to kill the soldiers. One of the charges read “that you between 13 and 14 May 2014 at Maimalari cantonment in Maiduguri fired sporadically with the intent to incite other personnel of 101 battalion against the authority of 7 Division.” Punishment for the offences under the Armed Forces Act include; death, imprisonment, dismissal with ignominy from the Armed Forces, a fine of a sum not exceeding the equivalent of three months’ pay among others. The accused soldiers were allowed defence counsel of their choice. Below are the List of charges against the soldiers Count 1: Statement of Offence: Criminal conspiracy to commit mutiny triable by court martial by virtue of Section 114 of AFA and punishable under Section 97(1) of the penal code CAP P89, laws of the Federation of Nigeria. Celebrities / Nigerian Teenagers In The USA Find The Cure For MOUTH ODOUR by sanyablaze(m): 7:38pm On Sep 15, 2014 |
Two teenagers from Nigeria, Eveshorhema Samuel-Alli and Ibukunoluwa Oladeinde that proudly represented Nigeria at the 2014 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles, California, USA, have bagged an award as a result of their research work on Halistosia a.k.a mouth odour. HALITOSIS or bad breath, is an unpleasant odour of the mouth present on exhaled breath. According to medical experts, this very embarrassing condition which can be acute (occasional) or chronic (long-lasting), could be caused by several factors including food, poor dental hygiene, tobacco products, health problems, dry mouth, mouth infections, dentures or braces and medications. Bad breath has caused otherwise well qualified people to lose employment opportunities, caused job losses, and friendships/marriages to crash. In their search for a solution, the two students of Doregos Private Academy, Ipaja, Lagos, carried out research on African walnut (Coula edulis), a member of the tree nut family common in Nigeria. At the end, they discovered that apart from its cancer-fighting properties, rare antioxidants, benefits for the heart and circulatory system, weight control, improved reproductive health in men, brain health and diabetes, walnut could also cure bad breath. According to Eveshorhema, the idea for this project came while on a school trip to a rural area in Nigeria where the host community served them walnuts. “When I woke up in the morning, I hadn’t brushed my teeth yet but my breath was already fresh. Then I remembered I had eaten walnuts the previous night.” To confirm her suspicion, she ate more nuts the following night and awoke with fresh breath again and that made them to carry out further research. “This project actually won us a Life Science Award of $1,000 in the Medicine and Health Science category, courtesy, Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society.” The experiment: “The Halitosis project has to do with mouth odour and we used a common Nigerian snack, the walnut, to cure mouth odour because it is a very embarrassing problem. Your best friend won’t tell you that your mouth is smelling so we had to find a solution to it. Consent forms “We conducted this experiment using 35 volunteers who were students of our school. we sent out parents consent forms and when we received the parents’ consent, we continued the experiment. The volunteers were divided into four groups. The duo then made two different walnut products. Walnut chewing gum: “We made walnut chewing gum by adding resins and sucrose to chopped walnuts. Walnut mouthwash: “Also, we made a walnut mouthwash mixing chopped walnut, water and 10 per cent lime as preservative. One group was given whole walnuts to eat; thev second group was given walnut chewing gum; the third was given walnut mouthwash while the last group was given nothing so they were the control group. “They took the walnut morning and night. We then observed them and recorded the results. They did not brush their teeth for the duration of the experiment. They were going only on walnut so we would be able to see the improvement,” said Eveshorhema Samuel-Alli. “After this, we conducted an experiment using Lead tri-oxo nitrate (v) in which the volunteers were made to blow bubbles into a solution of lead nitrate and water before and after the experiment. “Before they took the walnut and walnut products, they were made to blow bubbles into the solution and then we recorded how long it took to turn the solution black. What turns the solution black is hydrogen sulphide and that is what causes mouth odour. So if it takes a short time, that means the mouth odour is actually very bad. Then after the experiment, they were also made to blow bubbles into the solution and this time, it was noticed that there was significant time lapse before the solution turned black. When the control group who had bacteria in their mouths, blew bubbles into the solution, it turned black while it remained clear when the other groups blew bubbles into it. So we knew that the walnut was actually working to cure halitosis.” Bacterial culture:From the results obtained, the duo suspected that some chemicals like alkaloids, oleic acid and tannins in the African walnut must be killing some of the odour-causing bacteria in the mouth. So they swabbed the mouths of each volunteer, grew the bacteria and counted the number. They found out that those who had the walnut treatment had fewer bacterial load. www.86wiz.com |
Celebrities / 4 Year Old Boy Hacked Into FBI's Database by sanyablaze(m): 4:44pm On Sep 15, 2014 |
Los Angeles| A 4-year old kid from the Californian metropolis, who must remain anonymous, was arrested this morning for breaking into the internal network of the FBI on three different occasions, allegedly to gather information about his mother’s new boyfriend. Bypassing all firewalls and security systems in a matter of minutes, the young boy would have been able to access the databases of the FBI, the CIA and of various police departments to verify the identity and official records of his new stepfather. Bill L. Lewis, the assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles Division, announced that the accused’s young age would certainly have to be taken into account, but that “considering the gravity of the crimes he committed” and the “consequences that his actions could have on the credibility the federal authorities”, the charges had to be serious. It is still unclear where the boy learned to use a computer, as he lives alone with his mother, who is an uneducated hairdresser possessing very little computer skills. In fact, there wasn’t any computer in the house until last Christmas, when the mother’s ex-boyfriend gave her a laptop. FBI agents are still analyzing all the data that they can muster on the PC and by interrogating the boy, to try to understand how he gathered the necessary knowledge over such a short period of time. The gifted 4-year old may look clumsy at first, but he was a good enough hacker to beat the experts of the federal government. According to experts, this surprising event certainly exposes a major breach in the security of the federal organization, showing the vulnerability of its system to malicious intrusions. If a 4-year old self-educated amateur can hack the FBI’s system, we can therefore assume that many foreign spy agencies or professional hackers are also easily capable of doing the same. www.86wiz.com |
Politics / Secret Reports Link The President Of Chad To Boko Haram by sanyablaze(m): 7:05am On Sep 13, 2014 |
New facts showing stronger links between former governor of Borno state, Ali Modu Sheriff, and the Boko Haram sect have emerged, further fuelling suggestions the ex-governor is a major financier of the terrorist sect. Intelligence insights obtained by PREMIUM TIMES in Maiduguri, Damaturu, and Abuja show dated communications between field officers and the velvet ranks of Nigeria’s military chronicling Mr. Sheriff’s involvement in promoting the growth of the sect. The communications painted a picture of what appears to be a powerful regional support structure involving the Chadian president, Nigerian officials and Niger Republic, and spearheaded by Mr. Sheriff whom the intelligence presents as a powerful figure within this circle. Strong evidence indicates that the Nigerian government received official actionable intelligence about Mr. Sheriff’s links to Boko Haram as far back as 2011 but has, curiously, ignored all warnings and nudges to act to stop the Boko Haram call him in for interrogation. Mr. Sheriff has long been suspected of masterminding the Boko Haram sect, but the documents sighted by this newspaper offers deeper understanding into how Mr. Sheriff allegedly finances the deadly sect and his probable motivations. When Sheriff visits Abeche Nourished by deep and impeccable sources from members of the Chadian Army, Nigerian intelligence experts had arrived at fairly certain conclusions that Mr. Sheriff was actively involved in the recruitment, training and deployment of Boko Haram members. “…members of Boko Haram sect are sometimes kept in Abeche region in Chad and trained before being dispersed. This happens usually when Mr. Sheriff visits Abeche,” a 2011 memo from field officers in N’djamena, the capital of Chad, read. When Mr. Sheriff visits Abeche for these activities, he lodges in Chadian Presidential Guest House in Abeche, and is provided security by the Chadian government, the intelligence communications claim. Mr. Sheriff is a close friend of the Chadian president, Idris Deby. In 2011, during the Chadian presidential elections, Mr. Sheriff supported the Chadian president with 35 vehicles, for security, and is believed to have bankrolled Mr. Deby’s re- election. Nigerian defence and intelligence community members typically describe Mr. Sheriff as a gun runner in their many communications, and they often speak in conviction that his weapons find their way into Nigeria through Niger Republic into Yobe state. Yobe is Boko Haram’s stronghold and has suffered heavy casualties in magnitudes only second to Borno. Money, Politics and Power Back in August 2011, intelligence officials were characterising Mr. Sheriff’s motivations for sponsoring Boko Haram as similar to a certain “3rd generation South South governor,” with the aim of covering up financial irregularities he might have committed as governor of Borno state, as well as propagate a stay-put in office strategy by suppressing the opposition. The officials suggest that Mr. Sheriff did not create the sect but was actively using the “monster” and could be sponsoring the sect as a way of protecting himself from the sect members who were “calling for his head” at the time. “One way of reclaiming the lost loyalty of the sect therefore, was sponsorship of their cause,” intelligence officials were telling their principals. Mr. Sheriff was not reachable for his comments. A former commissioner under his administration as governor of Borno state who also speaks for him, Inuwa Bwala, told PREMIUM TIMES Mr. Sheriff was outside the country and could not respond to enquiries. Both the Nigerian defence headquarters and the Nigerian government also declined to comment on this intelligence. Phone calls were not answered, and text messages were not replied to. Mr. Sheriff has been accused before of links to the terrorist group, Boko Haram. He denies any links. An April 2, 2012 report by a Cameroonian daily, L’Oriel du Sahel, said the former governor, now a member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was arrested in 2012 upon entering Cameroon from Chad on his way to meeting the governor of that country’s northern region. The report said Cameroonian police authorities questioned Mr. Sheriff for hours and only released him later following pressure from senior government officials in that country. An Ambassador Usman Galtimari Panel, set up by President Goodluck Jonathan to investigate the genesis of the insurgency in the North East, had also blamed Mr. Sheriff for the growth of Boko Haram in a report . Chadian President Connection An Australian negotiator, Stephen Davis, recently named Mr. Sheriff, alongside former Nigerian Army Chief, Azubuike Ihejirika, as sponsors of the Boko Haram sect, quoting the sect’s leadership. Nigeria’s defence intelligence was silent on the role of Mr. Ihejirika in promoting the deadly sect whose bloody campaign have killed up to 5000 Nigerians and left many homeless, broken and internally displaced, but names the Chadian president, Mr. Deby, as a new dimension to the Boko Haram sponsorship dynamics. In 2011, a strong Boko Haram army was also beneficial to the Chadian president, as it provided a “ready army and possible refuge” for a president that was facing growing distrust from his legitimate army, Nigerian intelligence officials claimed. The Chadian government support for the sect was made majorly through his friendship with Mr. Sheriff and at the expense of his country’s relationship with Nigeria, the report said. Transformed sect Violence by the Boko Haram sect, which had only religious interest in the past, is traceable to the five days of clashes in July 2009, between the group and members of the security forces in Borno, Yobe, Bauchi, and Kano states that left more than 800 people dead, including at least 30 police officers. The police summarily executed the captured Boko Haram leader, Mohammed Yusuf, along with several dozen of his followers in front of the police headquarters in Maiduguri. Dozens of its members were also arrested. Boko Haram frequently said its attacks on the government, especially the police, are in revenge for these killings and an attempt to set free members incarcerated by the police. Recently, the ideology behind Boko Haram attacks got more confusing with increasing attacks on schools, media houses and almost any soft target with wide media reach. The group has gotten bolder by the day and has shown interest in capturing and occupying cities it calls its Caliphates. The sect has overrun towns and villages, including Mubi, Michika, Bazza, Gulak, Gwoza, Bama, Gamboru and Ngala in Adamawa and Borno states. Ngala is the home place Mr. Sheriff. |

Politics / Former President Obaasanjo's Son Shot By Boko Haram Fighters by sanyablaze(m): 10:47pm On Sep 08, 2014 |
Obasanjo, an army engineer, was a Lieutenant Colonel at the 3rd Division in Jos, Plateau State.Boko Haram militants attacked a platoon led by the son of former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, shooting him today. He sustained serious injuries to his legs and was being transported to the hospital at the time of this report. Adeboye Obasanjo, an army engineer, was a Lieutenant Colonel at the 3rd Division in Jos, Plateau State. He and his platoon were engaged with Boko Haram militants at Baza, which is the village of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3rd division when the incident took place. The Lieutenant Agwu of the 234 battalion, GOC of the 3rd Division, Major Gen JS Zaruwa and Colonel Victor Ebhaleme who serves as the Brigade Commander of the 23rd Army brigade in Yola were all together advancing towards Michika when Boko Haram fighters unleashed the deadly attack on the soldiers. 24 soldiers in the platoon were reportedly killed by the militants. Apart from the dead soldiers, the army also lost an armored tank to the militants. As a result of the attack, the army has moved sensitive weapons from mubi to the Brigade headquarters in Yola leaving mubi vulnerable to attack. The town of Mubi has practically been deserted following the closure of schools and massive retreat of soldiers from the city. The former president is currently traveling in Singapore according to family sources. More Stories Here www.86wiz.com |
