WORDWORLD:
It is the INADEQUACIES of 'MAN' who has not been striving for a higher nature but governed by GREED and SENTIMENT. My post is about MAN. About the cultivation of the mind, weeding it from all kinds of diseases such as prejudice, greed, hypocrisy, falsehood, pride over superfacialities like the colour of the skin, language so as to become truely civilized.

History tells us that on America's own soil a lot of BLACKS were LYNCHED and WHITES who vigorously opposed such acts of ILL-TREATMENT to blacks were as well MURDERED by their fellow Whites.

History tells us that such attrocity of LYNCHING did happened in Europe too not just the lynching of blacks but whites all due to all kinds of supperstitious beliefs such as witch craft. The lynching of people accussed of being witches still goes on in Nigeria as well as India.

That past doesn't take the same shape today. What has replaced lynching in the cage called prison where 'CRIMINAL' Nigerians are kept alive for a period of time until they are released hoping that while in prison the will reform to be better citizens of planet Earth. I tell you, its an Improvement . Even though its a shame its an improvement compared to what we see in India and Nigeria and so on and so forth.

ITS AN EVOLUTION OF THE HUMAN MIND WHICH I HOPE WITH TIME, AND RAPIDLY EXTENDS TO THESE PLACES WHERE INNOCENT LIVES ARE BEING LYNCHED.

What happened in India is un-called for. It cannot be justified any where no matter what. My writing is not a JUSTIFICATION of their attrocity but a mention of factors that leads to such attrocities of which one of them is the BAD REPUTATION Nigeria has built for herself. When a Nigerian is sighted by a foreigner what comes to mind!? That UGLY perception that comes to their mind must change if you wish to stop being BRUTALIZED. And unless Nigerians start working from the inside to the outside NOTHING is ever going to change for the better except for WORSE.

That's what am talking about. Its not about PRIDE IN COLOR of the skin but a NOBLE and HONOURABLE content of the mind which emanates into LIGHT. So that the perception of Nigeria will be nothing but DIGNIFYING. It takes a lot of honesty to achieving that and honesty can't be achieved except with COURAGE and DISCIPLINE.

Ponder over this statements made by the Current President of America which you have asked why Americans don't lynch Nigerians.

President Trump said in one of his campaigns.
“Why can’t they (NIGERIANS) stay in their own country? Why? I’ll tell you why. Because they are corrupt. “Their Governments are so corrupt. They rob the people blind and bring it all here to spend and their people run away and come down here and take our jobs.
“We need to get the Africans out. Not the
blacks, the Africans. Especially the Nigerians.
They’re everywhere. “We can’t have that! If I become president, we’ll send them all home. We’ll build a wall at the Atlantic Shore.
“Then maybe, we’ll re-colonize Africans
because obviously they did not learn a damn
thing from the British.
“I went for a rally in Alaska and met just one
African in the entire state. Where was he
from? Nigeria! He’s in Alaska taking our jobs.
They’re in Houston taking our jobs,” the
Presidential Front-runner said.

aitonline.tv/post-us_presidential_aspirant__donald_trump_warns_nigerians_in_the_us____if_i_win__you_will_leave__

Did you notice how he made a distinction between BLACK AFRICANS and BLACK AMERICANS even though the are BLACKS?. "We need to get the Africans out NOT the BLACKS. The Africans, especially the Nigerians".

Invoking such supperfacialities as colour of the skin as a reason for not been accepted with hospitality being a Nigerian is to react against one's intellect. President Trump said it loud and clear. "THE GOVERNMENT ARE SO CORRUPT THE ROB THE PEOPLE BLIND". Which we all know its the government of the black, for the black and by the black. SELF-DECEPTION LEADS TO NO WHERE BUT SELF-DESTRUCTION and that is what is happening to Nigerians anywhere they go.

THE COUNTRY AND THE PEOPLE OF THE COUNTRY ARE LACKING IN GOOD REPUTATION. THERE IS NO ARGUEMENT ABOUT THIS.
I agree with everything you wrote except the bad reputation angle. I agree when you say it's the deficiency of man. That I think is the reason Indians still Lynch. Our reputation has nothing to do with it in this case because Russians do worse. I think it is simply racism. A worse form of it.

face cap! You will be surprise that when you drop your CV theybmay require immediate interview
Possible.

I've thought about that too but I always console myself with the idea that whoever understands the unemployment level in Nigeria, sees my effort(a Nigerian youth) moving around looking for jobs, (consider the waywardness of our youths), the obvious sweat on my face hiding my sacrifice,(yes, I always sweat under the sun), and my good manners(*winks*), and still considers my cap an impediment for the job is not the type of person I'd like to work for.

We better stop chatting now before somebody breaks our heads. Sorry to all those who logged in thinking it's a new job alert with every post we made.

I'm just lucky to have family members who understand even though I collect it with some sense of self disgust. The other side jobs don't pay much for now. I blew +15k on transport last month. It could have been cheaper if I wasn't new in town. I hate to trek but I force myself these days because I know all good things come to an end.

It is a step. My field is medical science and I've submitted CVs with every hospital that runs my department in my area. At the same time teaching myself special skills that are free online and also open to other jobs. It's just a step.

Whenever I feel that defeatism setting in I get more creative. I figured we get lazy to look for jobs after putting in so much work without results. But that laziness is a step to depression and mental incapacitation.

My next stop is every hospital in Ikeja. I strongly don't believe I'd submit in all these places and something will not work out. Even if it doesn't work out I've got plan C. If C fails I'd try D. Z will be to work as a conductor for Danfo drivers. lol

Can I wear a black shirt on a black trouser for an interview? Because that's what I would love to wear. I have pink, blue and purple shirts also but I just want to be clear is black on black ideal for an interview
Don't let Old Nick win! A black shirt, a black trouser, black shoe and black tie. You know how the superstition thing work here. You should try another colour if you have. If anything is going to deny one a job his dressing should be the least.

This is Nigeria... This is our definition of normal...

If you've been observant you'd notice a cycle in play. A cycle too strong.

It started from Dasuki, the way voices were raised, the way the papers reported and the memes we made from it one would think he'd be behind bars within two months.

Then we had Metuh, arrested, ate his statements(according to EFCC), spoke of a medical checkup(at this point, you'd think he's guilty and would be nailed fast) but the same thing happened.

The judges and the burglars and the noise. How Nigerians rejoiced, how the papers carried it, how long it trended, and today the case seems like it wasn't even supposed to be one.

This here is another manifestation of that cycle. Nothing will happen to Dino. His court case with Sowore will also disappear. Forget the 5Bilion. It will disappear and they'd become friends again.

Then another issue will come up next month. People will rejoice, Jail the culprit in the court of Public Opinion but then the cycle will not be tampered with. This is our new normal.

Freedom of expression is clearly guaranteed in our constitution as one of the fundamental human rights. So why would someone seeks to deny people that right?

But I have never seen the issues highlighted bin discussed on either Facebook or Twitter. We just want to show our dictatorial tendencies in everything we do.

I am black but I cherish Mark Zuckerberg. Facebook is so flexible. It is so democratic. It tries to replicate a real life interaction between people where people can disagree and even insult one another, it guarantees such freedoms unlike some sites that wants one to come and only form serious no disagreements no insults, no nothing. The other day I referred to someone as dollardinhow and the site automatically changed it to President Muhammad Buhari.... . What nonsense.
Facebook is not so Democratic, by the way. It's a Monarchy. Mark doesn't consult us in anything and even sells our information and snitch on our friends.

My point is, the actions of a few slacks shouldn't be the basis for accepting you are inferior to other races.

For Nairaland what you have is a reflection of the country. The people who run the forum are Nigerians.

Well, I guess freedom of expression is the beauty of the generation we are in now. Denying people's right to speak their minds is dictatorial.

Nairaland is not the only site in Nigeria remember, if you ban them from here, Facebook and twitter are always ready to accept them.

The difference between the blacks and whites would always manifest in all situations. The two sites I mentioned above do not stop people from expressing their opinions. Is it because they were founded by the whites? Yes of course.

On the contrary, the black owned site ban people just because they express their mind. We only see these tendencies during military regimes.
Stop this black and white nonsense. How many black Forums have you been to to draw such conclusion? Stop this "there's decorum because it's white owned" it is a trace of the brainwash of colonization.

For their own sake, it is usually not as hard as what you get when the real companies are recruiting. You simply need a good understanding of the role you're applying for.

In some cases, their could be a test(Gmat. You can download it online) done to get a smaller number, before they conduct an interview with you followed by the company's.
