WORDWORLD:I agree with everything you wrote except the bad reputation angle. I agree when you say it's the deficiency of man. That I think is the reason Indians still Lynch. Our reputation has nothing to do with it in this case because Russians do worse. I think it is simply racism. A worse form of it. |
Pojomojo:Possible. I've thought about that too but I always console myself with the idea that whoever understands the unemployment level in Nigeria, sees my effort(a Nigerian youth) moving around looking for jobs, (consider the waywardness of our youths), the obvious sweat on my face hiding my sacrifice,(yes, I always sweat under the sun), and my good manners(*winks*), and still considers my cap an impediment for the job is not the type of person I'd like to work for. We better stop chatting now before somebody breaks our heads. Sorry to all those who logged in thinking it's a new job alert with every post we made. |
maestro2000:Exactly. They created that Power Circle for their continuous domination. |
Pojomojo:Umbrella for a guy? Come on! I've got my P Cap. Thanks. I think it is a crime for a Job Seeker to drink bottled water. Lol. |
Pojomojo:Lol. Thanks. I know too but I have personal issues with the sun and heat. I'm learning fast. |
ammierie:You are welcome. |
Pojomojo:I'm just lucky to have family members who understand even though I collect it with some sense of self disgust. The other side jobs don't pay much for now. I blew +15k on transport last month. It could have been cheaper if I wasn't new in town. I hate to trek but I force myself these days because I know all good things come to an end. |
esecremz:Thanks. Let me see. I think I've used it for other jobs outside Lagos. |
^^^ It is a step. My field is medical science and I've submitted CVs with every hospital that runs my department in my area. At the same time teaching myself special skills that are free online and also open to other jobs. It's just a step. Whenever I feel that defeatism setting in I get more creative. I figured we get lazy to look for jobs after putting in so much work without results. But that laziness is a step to depression and mental incapacitation. My next stop is every hospital in Ikeja. I strongly don't believe I'd submit in all these places and something will not work out. Even if it doesn't work out I've got plan C. If C fails I'd try D. Z will be to work as a conductor for Danfo drivers. lol |
iheanyi40:Lol. I even forgot. Let me continue on the next hour. Money must be made. |
ammierie:If you need the job that bad, visit or call or email all these agencies. Look for their Facebook and Twitter handles. Hanging around with friends is a good medicine against depression. Solitude is its ally. Speaking from experience of chronic depression. IRIS Consulting Strategy, Leadership Development and Performance Management. iheanyi40:Lol. I don give up but I go still try any way I see. |
iyobs7:Don't let Old Nick win! A black shirt, a black trouser, black shoe and black tie. You know how the superstition thing work here. You should try another colour if you have. If anything is going to deny one a job his dressing should be the least. |
iheanyi40:Maybe it was all about traffic for the op. |
Silvjo:It showed the amount. I pressed all and next page for final confirmation. But when I pressed next on the final page it says "unknown error" and went back to homepage. what do I do? |
WORDWORLD:Is it really about our inadequacies or that of Indians? You have strong points but I'm just wondering why Europe and America don't lynch us despite our reputation. |
We shouldn't make this the single story. This idea of demonizing the Legislators and leaving the Presidency is dangerous. The entire political class from the Presidency to the last man is incompetent. |
Hello FAM! How real are these guys around Lagos who share papers on different Job Roles? Anyone ever tried? Thanks. |
See who is talking too. |
maestro2000:The foundation is faulty. Every nation tries to have a positive identity. Where's Ours? Our founding fathers messed up big time. |
Billyonaire:Lol. It is not going to happen. They'd make up. |
This is Nigeria... This is our definition of normal... If you've been observant you'd notice a cycle in play. A cycle too strong. It started from Dasuki, the way voices were raised, the way the papers reported and the memes we made from it one would think he'd be behind bars within two months. Then we had Metuh, arrested, ate his statements(according to EFCC), spoke of a medical checkup(at this point, you'd think he's guilty and would be nailed fast) but the same thing happened. The judges and the burglars and the noise. How Nigerians rejoiced, how the papers carried it, how long it trended, and today the case seems like it wasn't even supposed to be one. This here is another manifestation of that cycle. Nothing will happen to Dino. His court case with Sowore will also disappear. Forget the 5Bilion. It will disappear and they'd become friends again. Then another issue will come up next month. People will rejoice, Jail the culprit in the court of Public Opinion but then the cycle will not be tampered with. This is our new normal. |
modsfucker:You see, you and I know what to do to minimize the hate and promote expression. I also believe the owners of the forum know too. But they know better. |
savagefinder:Exactly. Even if you delete your account or personal info they still have it. The thing is not to join at all or to use it wisely. |
modsfucker:Facebook is not so Democratic, by the way. It's a Monarchy. Mark doesn't consult us in anything and even sells our information and snitch on our friends. My point is, the actions of a few slacks shouldn't be the basis for accepting you are inferior to other races. For Nairaland what you have is a reflection of the country. The people who run the forum are Nigerians. |
modsfucker:Stop this black and white nonsense. How many black Forums have you been to to draw such conclusion? Stop this "there's decorum because it's white owned" it is a trace of the brainwash of colonization. |
Don't waste your time. It will only stop if they want it to stop. This is a money making site and not a moral uplifting place. |
Chommieblaq:For their own sake, it is usually not as hard as what you get when the real companies are recruiting. You simply need a good understanding of the role you're applying for. In some cases, their could be a test(Gmat. You can download it online) done to get a smaller number, before they conduct an interview with you followed by the company's. |
This guy deserves a ban. |
rarekollect:Fortune Careers. Run! |
