That's true. Tried AdSense before but the Nigerian one wasn't impressive. I was pissed with the PPC and PPM that I deactivated it (I understood why but the pay was slavish to me). It was really annoying and many bloggers I know were using UK and US AdSense and even group-clicking. The good boy (or was it stupid boy?) in me said no. Lol.

Tried so many affiliates and even some local ones but the mediocre pay was not encouraging. I felt the value I offered was far greater. I just gave up on them. Now, I wait to be approached but in over two years nothing of such has happened. Though I figured the reason they all failed was because I was too broke to take them as serious as I took domaining. Lol. Poverty is a vice. Lolol

I'm already blogging but the niche I'm in does not bring money and I don't intend to switch. It's just for passion. I would have loved affiliate but I prefer C P A Marketing. Trying to perfect it. I gave up on Affiliate after trying Amazon affiliate and that ClickB... required VPN change. I was too strict on my morals then. Lol. I just need something I can set up like CPA or Domaining and still live my normal life. I have so much time for an adult even with my full time job. Lol.

I know when you started here and how you always follow up this thread, if today you have become a boss, doesn't mean you should devalue someone's business. Rather you give them advice of what you believe on.

I don't do brandables but i can't descriminate people doing brandables.

Even when people bring Geos to me on whatsapp, i don't descriminate or devalue their domains, even if it's not the kind of geo i deal on.

There was a guy who bought one sewing and craft domain that came here and people devalued his market, some even asked him, to seek for refund. But he ended up selling such name for 3k dollars and now, people run to him as boss.

Personally i saw attitudes and characters here that made me withdraw from giving out much comments and sales report, but Heaven knows even at that, i still entertain my domain friends/family from nairaland, because someday they will be like me or even greater than I am in sales. That's why i dont look down or devalue anyone or his or her domains.


So oga you are someone i like and respect but please, whom much is given, much is expected.

He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.
And when the equities are equal, the law prevails.

So please give justice a chance, always advice them well, tell them this isn't your niche, if it is not something you deal on, and let them know which is yours and help them get better if they are willing to learn. But above all, don't bring them down or dull their spirit.

It was a shitty name and even when Iyke pointed that out I was still baffled. Lolol. Selling that name wouldn't change the fact it was shitty for a new domainer. And his goal was to make sure I don't go along regging pointless names. That created a path for me. I believe he brought the name up to be critiqued and not be pampered. I see here as a family and if we can't laugh at each other without tempers rising then something is wrong.

My advice

When any end-user insist on Godaddy, increase the price of the domain by 100 or more, and explain that their escrow fee is high on you the seller.

This is what i do, you either buy from the current landing page, or pay more at Godaddy.

It has worked for me.

I even have one that recently insisted on Godaddy, and i asked her to pay $200 extra and i will allow Godaddy or buy at the current landing page with the price offered. So i hope i hear from them.

I use gmail interface for mine and I do not pay monthly fees... just normal yearly hosting renewals.

There is an option do this within Gmail that makes it possible. May be I will do a tutorial on how to set it up

Yes, you're very correct from my experience. But this is what I do. If a potential lead is suspicious and mentions that I should have used custom email ID, I'll simply reply him with gmail ID. "Hey, thanks for your honest observation. I prefer gmail ID because it has higher rate of delivery. But if using custom email will make you to trust, believe and buy this domain name, I'm sending you a mail from my custom email ID right away. Thanks once again for being open with me."

But for those who can invest money to make money in this domain business, subscribe to Gmail custom email services. It costs $6 per month. You'll have a custom email IDs using your domain name URL. So, Google cannot deny you again and you can always approach their customer support when there are issues.

Good one but $6 per month? I'm spending $19 per month for two addresses. What am I missing?

I get you. I think namesilo and others offer that but I doubt I would want to use that. What it means is that after closing that deal the email is off. That is not a model I would want to follow. And I doubt it is that clear.

What about the use of Mail trackers such as mail track for chrome. Can it be used for custom mails?

Warm your professional mail before using it. Warming can take 4-8 weeks. That way you'd reduce the likelihood of mails falling into spam. Gmass is currently running a free email warming.
