My mum came in January on a visit visa and she was stamped in for 6 months, I applied for a visitor record in June to extend her stay to a year. I received a medical request letter 2 days ago and the letter said she has 30 days to complete the exam failing which a decision will be made on her application. I’ve now just received an approval for the application and her length of stay has been extended. Her profile shows the application as approved but the profile still shows that a medical exam was requested. Question is does she still need to do the medical exam since her application has been approved?

Yes she does, it is part of the terms of her approval. If she does not do it, it may affect her next application.

Please can anyone who got their visa stamped recently confirm how long it takes to get it back for Lagos and Abuja. Thank you.

Medical Passed: Sept 7(sputum test and 2 months X-ray because of scar on lungs)

Eligibility started: October 5

PPR: October 15

Documents submitted:
NOA (son and DIL)
Letters of employment(Son and DIL)
Banks statements both parties
Letter of invitation
Letter of financial support (Son and DIL) MIL retired we did not show assets on her end.

Has anyone sent passport to Lagos recently, how long did it take?

Yes you need to submit Super Visa insurance for 1 year, minimum of $100k coverage and paid in full.

Been in Canada for a while and in my dealings with IRCC I think the code is just be transparent. Waiting on my wife and kids PR application to pull through so I applied for a VV for my wife n two little boys. POF was just $2kCAD which I even explained that she took it as a loan

VV approved 20th July.

That was her first visa she has zero travel history.

In my own opinion just b plain n nothing bogus

Thank you. How long did it take before you got the visa?

I mailed it on Monday and it was sent back I. Wednesday and ready for pickup on Thursday, my husband’s own took about 2 weeks so it depends.

Yes you can, I got IW and my last visa was from Nigeria.

You can only use what has been done in the past to determine what the potential processing time will be if you submit today. That being said it does not mean it will not change and reduce as backlogs clear or some people might not have faster processing times, but the average processing time as of August 2 is 26months.
