Although I was going for a Masters degree, I booked Category B and I had no issue during my interview.

My VO did not ask (This could be because my Appointment letter stated 'Masters students List B'), however the fact that she didn't ask doesn't discredit the experiences of others.

Nonsoanthony:

please help us, is there any issue arising from the category at the embassy? I will believe you because this will be a direct information from an interview hall today..

Hey Guys, Here's my experience at the Embassy.

Mr Paulinus wasn't what I expected, listen to him, don't panic and you'll be okay.

So he sorted my documents at the gate, I went in to the Visa section and waited almost an hour.

I was the first person for student visa.

I was attended to by a lady VO

*Transcript*

VO: Hi, Good morning, what are you here for?
Me: Student Visa
VO: For what course?
Me: ------
VO: You have not funded, I can't find any proof that you have even opened the account,
Me: I was not expecting a Visa appointment date this early, I only had three weeks to prepare.
VO: She hands me two forms to sign indicating that my application might be rejected if I don't provide the complete documents by email.
Me: I signed the documents, letting her know I'll send it via email next week. ( *EPP Me I'm looking for 500k*

VO: Why this course.
Me: &---
VO: Why Germany
Me: Free Tuition and Access to a world Class education.
VO: Why not UK or US?
Me: I can't afford it.
VO: What do you know about Germany?
Me: I talked until I ran out of facts, she wasn't satisfied, ‍♂‍♂‍♂.
VO: What do you do now?
Me: I work as a media specialist for a company in Lagos.
VO: But you studied Agriculture, How come you're a media person?
Me: I was a photographer during my undergraduate days and I picked up skills in media.
VO: How much are you getting paid?

Me: Told her my Monthly salary and mentioned that I got it a few days after completion of my NYSC, I mentioned that I had done a few jobs for my employer as a student and corper, hence, he decided to bring me on.

She also asked if I had learnt German, I said not officially.

She said I include my form number on the email I send with the confirmation of funds.

NB: They'll hold on to your original Certificates.

Ladies and Gentlemen. My AL just dropped. Let me give you one small gist. I applied to similar courses (Biotechnology) in two schools, sent documents through Uniassist since February to one of the schools (That school just bone my destiny, not rejected oh, just ignored my soul grin grin grin.). As per say I had one small money lying around, I decided to block 2m naira without admission letter (Mumu risk). As the debit alert enter my phone, thoughts like What if they don't give you admission, how will you collect your money from Fintiba (Chimoooo ). Two weeks after blocking my life savings, this school said they wanted Skype interview, I read like I wanted to die for the Skype interview (NB: It wasn't that hard). Then I had to wait another two weeks after Skype interview for admission to drop.

I'm just thankful my admission letter dropped, although, I was confident I'll get admitted, but as the debit alerts enter for my Naija account, I nearly died of heart attack. grin

My dear wonderful E-family, Please I am finding it difficult to access my Fintiba Account opening documents as it has refused to download.

Please what can i do to be able to download the document.

Abeg biko help a sister.

If you're using the app, the documents will only download over WiFi. So you either connect to a WIfi or you logon to their web portal, you can easily download your account details there.

Faced the same issue.

Good evening, please I'm asking this for a friend.. For someone who hold a master degree in public health, what can the person study for PhD?

Please help a friend of a friend.

Lol. Forgive me for being rude oh. But for someone who earned a masters degree in Public health and doesn't know what to study for PHD. The person doesn't really doesn't deserve to go for PHD. Make him just go hustle. I'm sorry if I sounded condescending.

Good afternoon guys, please is there anyone else that got an invite for a skype interview or has done the interview for Crop Protection at University of Goettingen before? Pls I'll like to have an idea of the kind of questions to expect

I had an interview for Masters in Integrated Plant and Animal Breeding on Monday for the same school.

Pro Tip: Relax, It's not that deep.
Now that you're relaxed, go study the course curriculum, the fact that I mentioned my basic experience with R programming made the interviewer relax a lot more. (R programing is core of my intended course, figure out what yours is).

Research other schools in Germany that also take similar courses, let them know why you chose Göttingen.

I believe you submitted a motivation letter, ensure you go through the motivation letter prior to the Skype interview to ensure consistency in your responses.

Vielen Glück.

Hello Children of God, Schönen Tag.

Anyone in the house schooling in Leipzig ?? I have been trying to get affordable housing and accommodation using studentwerk but the costing are quite high. Can anyone here please advise me about other alternatives asides studentwerk.

Also please anyone, are masters students also required to open a block account in Germany ? Is it advisable to open the account before my interview here in Nigeria ?

Children of God please help a brother!

I believe the cheapest accommodation a student can get goes through the Studentwerk, virtually every other process is due to be more expensive.

Your second question is funny oh.

Hi guys, I think the new booking system for the German embassy is still in the works. I believe the Category A is for students that already have a good command of the German language or at least have admission to study a course that would guarantee them studying the German language. However I noticed that you can't book for a Category A Visa appointment via the website without ticking the box stating that you have received a scholarship from a German organization. So my issue is, I think the Category A is solely for students that have obtained a scholarship.

If you haven't paid/ Processing hasn't started yet. Simply withdraw the application and create a new one.

Has anyone here received admission for Msc Integrated Plant and Animal Breeding for Georg Augustus University Göttingen?

It seems like they've only released admission for SIA.
