Hmmmmm, reading this post brings back some memories, giving me a nostalgic feelings about the past. If am to share my scammed stories I doubt I will have all the time to finish it. Seriously, i have been scammed numeriously.

Infact during my teenage years, I famously earned the nickname "BOLO" (meaning a very sluggish person). I like to believe this was as a result of my very timid nature and placing huge trust in people. Two qualities which I completely lack today. Let me quickly share with you all one of my foolishly scammed moment.

Back in 1999, when I was in my teenage year's, my mum gave me 2500 to go and buy kerosene.
I sluggishly collect the gallon of the kerosene given to me and the money not knowing I won't be coming back with any of them. I sluggishly set out on my journey, when I got to the place I was to buy the kerosene, there were lot of people their as a result of kerosene scarcity then. So we had to form a queue, I was the last on the queue, after waiting for like 30minutes on the queue.

This rough looking guy came up to me and told me leg his paining him that he has been here since morning and he his thirsty, he asked me if I could get him nylon water, from a little distantance from where we are. I told him okay, he brought out #5 and gave it to me as I was going, he told me to bring my keg and my money so as to help me buy it when it get to my turn. Without hesitation as a result of my slow mind I quickly gave him the money and my keg.

I guess you all know what happened from here. When I got back he was gone. I went back home without a finch of sadness within me, I guess this was as a result of my slow mind. I told my mum exactly this "ma when I got there, one guy collected everything you gave me and give me nylon water. This is the nylon water he gave me" It was when the slap was coming, before it hits me, my brain within a Seconds processed all that has happened to me that day, and I knew I have messed up and it is too late. Till this very day my left eye have not completely healed from that slap.
I swear if my mother fit read and I show her your story, she go say na me write am. I had similar experience and it is what I am about to share before I saw your reply to the post. Thanks for sharing on my behalf grin

jomoh:
1. Crude oil price excuse that is beyond his(PMB) control cannot not fly but APC excuse that is under the presidents control can fly abi. wehdon sir.

Was APC holding his hand front totally removing the subsidy.

2. So the subsidy magically disappeared immediately PMBs APC came in. Not even a credit to the man that thought it right to remove the subsidy.

Mr joseph, barcanista might not be in most people's good books due to his write ups but I am very sure I've ever seen anything as biased and blantantly lopesided as this from him.

Everything is not black and white and appraisal of government is much more complex(i know you know better) than the rubbish you wrote up there but you intentionally expunged the complexities and circumstances that contribute to the rating to satisfy your selfish objective.

Complexities and circumstances like:

1. What kind of economy did the two of them inherit from their predecessor

2. What was their contribution to improve or worsen.

3. What was the external reserve inherited by the two of them.

4. What was the excess crude oil reserve

5. What are the basic economic indices inherited before jumping into these conclusions.

Venuzuela had a better economy than Nigeria as at the time GEJ was handing over to PMB. Now that country is on the brink of total collapse while we are gradually coming out of the mess GEJ left us with but you choose to ignore that part.

You choose to ignore the fact that Nigeria was borrowing to pay federal workers before GEJ left but under PMB, we were not only paying convenetly but also borrowing states to pay.

You choose to ignore that GEJ met external reserve close to $60bn and left less than $25bn Squandering $35bn during an oil boom.

You choose to ignore that GEJ met a docile Bokoharam but left vibrant a Bokoharam controlling Nigerian territory.

You choose to ignore the fact that GEJ govt never did anything during Ebola rather they allowed Patrick Sawyer enter this country despite they knowing that there had been outbreak of Ebola in his country and other. Infact it was Lagos state that single handedly curbed the menace.

In fact after reading your trash up there, my gut could do nothing but regurgitate this quote from Billy Madison:

".....What you've just wrote is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever read. At no point in your, rambling, Incohenrent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone reading this thread is now dumber for having read it. I award you no point, and may God have mercy on your poor soul."

PMB might not be performing up to expectation but any sane person that knows the story of Venezuela will give PMB credit for where Nigeria is today.

Dem Say We Do Eurobond; Guy, wetin be Eurobond?

Personally, I think Nigeria should have borrowed more but the people in government know what the finances look like better than me. The interest on this bond will have to be paid back in dollars – these guys won’t collect naira. This means that a portion of whatever Nigeria makes from oil over the next 15 years will have to be set aside to repay this bond (and the previous ones). The more you borrow, the more you have to set aside. This is why you should only borrow this kind of money to invest in things like infrastructure that can unlock your economy and increase revenues. Anything else will make you an unfortunate person.

Hmmm......borrowing more is quite tempting, but I think they might have consider the country's fiscal needs before deciding that $1bn is just what they need. If not there is need for them to reevaluate the situation o! After all, who no go take more.

Yes, it was blank, but, I was able to figure the problem out. It was the comma I added in the SQL, I added it after the last variable, in the parentheses after VALUES.

That means you have more technical errors, are you sure your tables in the database matches the one in the script?

Also data won't enter the database if the datatype being passed doesn't match the expected one for instance passing a boolean into a datetime field or if NULL is set to NO by default in this case data will not enter the db IF the field is null.

Try uploading a screenshot or share the details of the error you got when you executed the script as many many things could be wrong and may not even be from those particular lines of code you shared.
The thing is, there is no error shown when I tried running the codes, the page displayed is blank. I have learnt somethings from this comment. I will check the database to see if I violated the issues you raised in your comment. Even though, eventually I did not get the solution to this problem, trust me I am learning a lot from you guys contributions. Thanks boss.

The problem is that u are using a string ($insert_product) as an expression .. U are supposed to be using the variable($insert_pro_query) which u assigned to the mysqli_query function as the expression..
it is supposed to be:
if ($insert_pro_query) {

}

When u do this then the codes in the if block will execute if the data was inserted into the database...
Thanks I corrected it and it is still not inserting.

BELOW IS THE SOURCE OF MY WAILING:

There is these codes that refuses to do what I think I commanded it to do. I have been on this codes for about three weeks now, doing all manner of things, including the illogical and crazy things, I even went spiritual(joking). The codes were written to insert some values gotten from the form fields into a table in the database. For some reasons unknown to me the codes didn't work as envisaged. The worst thing is no error is printed on the browser's page.

In order to debug the code, I put the where I run the SQL insert into an if-else statement(if(mysqli_query($product_insert))), but, the codes in the else block run only.

Below is the php codes:

<?php

if(isset($_POST['insert_post'])){

$product_title = $_POST['product_title'];
$product_types = $_POST['product_types'];
$product_brand = $_POST['product_brand'];
$product_size = $_POST['product_size'];
$product_price = $_POST['product_price'];
$product_desc = $_POST['product_desc'];
$product_keywords = $_POST['product_keywords'];

$product_image = $_FILES['product_image']['name'];
$product_image_tmp = $_FILES['product_image']['tmp_name'];

move_uploaded_file($product_image_tmp,'product_images/$product_image');

$insert_product = "INSERT INTO product(product_title,product_types,product_brand,product_size,product_price,product_desc,product_keywords,product_image) VALUES
('$product_title', '$product_types', '$product_brand', '$product_size', '$product_price', '$product_desc', '$product_keywords', '$product_image',)";
$insert_pro_query = mysqli_query($con, $insert_product);
if($insert_product){

echo "<script>alert('Product has been inserted')</script>";

echo "<script>window.open('insert_product.php', 'self')</script>";
}else{
echo 'not inserted';
}
}

Thanks? I should be the one thanking you. You know, teaching is one hell of a difficult job, especially, when your student are not assimilating what you teaches them properly. Also, if one look at the number of student you have on this thread and one consider the fact that you have to go through our code line by line, then one can begin to comprehend what an arduous task it is.

Your code.......how come I did not consider using the do while loop? I just realised how simple it would have been, had I used the do while loop.

I noticed how you put all the code that will get the user input and also the code that will ask the user to input the correct score, when the user input a score that is less than zero or greater than hundred, in the do block. NOTED.

You are really a good teacher, thanks.

Just one question, do you test your programme before handing it in? I think from now on I'll be asking for screenshots as well to confirm that you have it working just to make sure you guys know how to compile your own programmes. I saw Antonineutron using printin instead of println which would give one a compilation error.
I didn't, but when I tested it yesterday, I have this wrong start of expression error. I think i have an idea where the problem is. the code will be modified in my last code.

I have some problems with your code those mainly with the while statement being thrown in there. Instead of your for loop, you could say

while the scores in the array are not less than 0 or scores are not greater than 100 then do the following commands.

Then you can also say if the score in a particular array position is less than 0 or greater than 100, then display a message to the user alerting them that the score must be greater than or equal to 0 or less than 100.

To simplify things in this assignment, I think you guys should use either a do-while loop or while loop and stay away from the for loop. You could use a for loop but it over-complicates things at this level of programming (plus in my opinion it's not efficient).

Within that while loop, what you want to do is have an if statement that tests whether testscore is less than 0 or greater than 100, then alert the user of improper data entry.

I'll post my own solution by Tuesday if I don't get a response from you guys. Thanks!
Here:

import java.util.Scanner;

public class Array{

public static void main(String[]args){
int i=0;
int[]Scores;
double average=0;
int total=0;

System.out.println("This program collect Scores of students in ten subjects and also display their average."wink;
Scores = new int[10];

Scanner stdio = new Scanner(System.in);

while(scores[i]!<0 || scores[i]!>100){

System.out.println("Please enter Test Score" + i + ":"wink;
Scores[i] = stdio.nextInt();
if(Scores[i]<=-1 || Scores[i]>100){
System.out.println("Score is less than zero, or greater than 100, please, enter a valid score!"wink;

Scores[i] = stdio.nextInt();

}
Scores[i]++;
total+=Scores[i];

}
average=total/Scores.length;
System.out.println("Your average is:" + " " + average);

}
