ucheo: Pls house what does this decoder upgrade means..like am using strong 669x.. if i want to receieve stations that transmit in HD..do I have to download a patch for srt 4922 and download it and install in my decoder. pls I will appreciate a good lecture on this.

In addition to what oga pidzo has said I will lyk to add that,when upgrdading ur reciever there re many technical issues u need to consider.
First and formost the issue of compatibility,the reciever must be compatible with the software.Hence upgrading 4669xii to any of the hd softwares,is like updating your java phone to symbian phone.
Secondly,authenticity_your reciever bieng strong srt4669xii is one thing,but the same reciever bieng original from strong technologies is another thing.if ur software is meant for original strong and ur reciever is fake,then there would be problem when upgradin-u may end up frying ur reciever.because it is madness to flash ur e66(chinese) with e66(nokia) software.hence u have to find out if ur reciever is truly from strong technologies b4 any upgrade.
Lastly,purpose-why do you want to upgrade ur reciever?it may be u want to change the graphics or there is additional satlyt and tp or channels etc.make sure u just have the right software.
Put all these issues above into considerations b4 any upgrade.

Try installing another software via pc or another reciever.
Note_make sure the decoder re alyk.cos there are are fake decoders out there,find out if urs is not one of them and install via pc.However if it turns out to be fake use a fake reciever for installing the software and turn off the OTA.
If u encounter any problem while upgrdading,pls dont hesitate to rush back here hundreds of ppl re waiting to help.

Are u new to the satellite TV technology system? Anyway. U can get the listed channels on Ew3c. Check lygnsat for the map and coverage/footprint.

You need Mpeg4 receiver and any kind of ku band Lnbf will help u. MBC is not on the same satellite with stv2, RTS. Mbc3 is on ew3a, whilst Tv3, Gtv, are both on the Multitv package

@toba, u should learn to be patient when dealin with ppl problems,some of us re here to be helped and in turn help other too.
The truth is he is not satisfied with your xplanation(s) in the other thread,so posting samething mixed with ur disapproval of his asking same question(s) isnt the right thing at all.
U think he is new to satellite tv?know that we all start from somewhere,and we still have a long way to go.
This is just an advice to u as a brother in satellite tv stuff,so dont take it personal,just let me know if I wrong u.cheers.

Ikiriye: What is the db of the boosters?
2 things could be wrong,
1.the splitter could be faulty so change it.
2.the cable of the last 3 rooms are not good or the distance from the booster is much or overloaded.

I had a problem with multi-room connection of 45tvs connected to 2boosters,one is of alcad product and the other is televes.Now my problem is the last rooms about three,dropped signal;their reception is not clear as it should be.
I was thinking of pulling out their cable and connecting them at a junction from where there is a strong reception(not sure about that)so I need ur input as this is my first time of handling this kind of job o,if there are other possible options,pls let me know(booster is out of the question.
