I disagree.
Chelsea will be facing a wounded Arsenal side that is determined to prove their mettle next week.
Arsenal will beat Chelsea at the Bridge.

Denilson and Clichy cost us the game yesterday, atrocious decision making. I was never one of those on Denilson's back but I might be on that bandwagon soon. He just doesn't seem to have the heart for such big games, decent player otherwise. On the 2nd goal Vermaelen did everything right, tracked Park all the way, Denilson intially tried to double team with Sagna on Nani but wasn't aware of Rooney sneaking in behind him. Clichy saw Rooney's run but stupidly chose to go join Denilson and Sagna rather than staying with Rooney  huh huh huh
Denilson and Clichy were culpable in all the goals we conceeded. FACT.
The whole Arsenal team cost Arsenal the game but the chief suspects were Denilson, Clichy, Arshavin and Nasri.
Nasri was useless throughout. I cannot remember him getting past Evra or delivering a cross ONCE during the game.
Arshavin gave Wes Brown a torrid time but Cesc, Song and Denilson were useless throughout.

Man Utd To Appeal Against Rio Ferdinand's Four-Match Ban.
Manchester United are to appeal against the four-match ban the Football Association has handed to Rio Ferdinand.

The defender was originally given a three-match ban by the FA after video footage showed him lashing out at Craig Fagan during United's 4-0 win over Hull earlier this month. The sanction was then extended after Manchester United made what the governing body described as a "frivolous appeal".

That makes United's latest appeal risky, particularly as Ferdinand will miss the Carling Cup final against Aston Villa on 28 February if the FA comes down hard on the Premier League champions again.

The 31-year-old centre-back missed United's 3-1 victory over Arsenal yesterday and will also sit out their match against Portsmouth on Saturday and the visit to Villa next Wednesday.
I'm not surprised. . . . .
We're making sure we highlight the inconsistency within the FA.
This might hurt us short term, but it will help us long term.

Great game scumtwats. You guys took your chances (early on anyways) and denied Arsenal when Arsenal weren't denying themselves.
That said, it was still just ONE game. I maintain that if Arsenal can get 6-8 points from these evil 4 games then we have a chance - given our run in is the easiest of the lot.
While that seems nearly impossible considering we have to beat Chelski and Liverpool, it can still happen.
Last night's result makes next weekend's game a bit tastier.
Arsene cannot afford to LOSE 2 on a bounce to their closest rivals.
It won't happen. I am backing Wenger to BATTER Chelsea.

Oddly enough, I felt no grief in the loss yesterday - nothing like what I felt in the CL last year. I think we were beaten so fairly I had absolutely no grudge against the scumtwats.
That's the nature of the league this season.
If we had lost yesterday, i wouldn't have been pained cos dropping points is the norm.

TBH, Arsenal bossed the game in the first 10 minutes.  SAF drafting Scholes to man-mark Cesc was silly cos Cesc was just taking the piss on him but SAF changed it around after 15 mins by drafting Scholes further up leaving Carrick and Fletcher to track Cesc's movement.

United midfielders took control from there and Carrick was outstanding with his crisp intelligent passes.
Nani was at his best on the right and the rest was history. I wouldn't worry about the loss if i were you.

Fair play to Fergie for wishing us victory against Chelski. Just loan us VDS for the game and we'll deliver the goods.  grin
Almunia had no protection whatsoever.
Don't mind the media blaming him for what was not his fault.

The 1st goal was bound to be a goal. . . . .If Almunia didn't touch the ball, Park was already lying in wait to tap the ball into the net.
The 2nd goal was the fault of the midfielders and the defenders. Denilson stopped running.

Vermalen was lost. . . . .He didn't even know who to man mark between Park and Rooney.
For the 3rd goal, should we blame Almunia for that abi Clichy who was having his moments of madness.

I'll say around £40M
Bought for £7 million in 2006. . . . .he was worth £40 million in 2009.
That should tell you something.
SAF woulda saved £20 million if Smalling goes ahead to become a quality defender.

Wengay could afford him but he was not willing to pay that ridiculous amount of money. Why should he when TV5 cost £10M? undecided
Has TV5 really added any value to the Arsenal defence?
Look at the number of goals they have conceded this season.

SKY told us today they have conceded 12 goals from set-piece(excluding penalties) this season.
In ma own opinion, his combo with Gallas has not added ZILCH to the Arsenal defence.

Ronaldo was a midfielder and midfielders generally tend to cost more. If Ronaldo was English, he woulda cost you lot £20M at the very least. English players are just to expensive.
Ronaldo was the most expensive teenager when SAF bought him.
Reasons why Wenger couldn't pay for his services in 2003. . . . .even then he still got sold at £80 million after playing shyte in his first 2 seasons.
Defenders don't peak until their late 20s. Smalling has about 8-9 years ahead of him so he's got a FAT chance.

The point I was trying to make was that Juve paid the amount of money not because they were hoping for a higher resale value but because they knew the value he would add to the Juve team. Same with Terry
Juve paid £32 million cos they know Buffon will serve them for the best part of 10 years.
Terry cannot play active football for the next 4 years thus no manager will pay that ridiculous amount for an injury-prone, end-of-days defender. grin

2 european cups in 24 years undecided.

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't those Arabs down the road bid £40m earlier on in the season.
Media generated fees.
Besides, that value also depended on the contract he had with Chelsea FC as at that time.

Man Citeh were willing to.
Don't be daft. . . . .  Vidic was never worth £50m.
How much was Vida worth last season after he led the defence that kept 14 clean sheets in the league?

Also Wengay did the smart thing and backed off cuz anyone in his/her right mind knows Smalling(un proven) ain't worth that amount of cash
It's not about football economics.
Wenger couldn't afford Smalling.
Arsene knows the player has got the potential and only time will tell.
You were one of the twits that marvelled when Fergie paid £12 million for a certain teenager in 2003 cos you thunk the teen would never be as good as Beckham.

Certain clubs could care less about resale value. Do you think the Juve board was looking @ the resale value when they bought the legendary Buffon for £32m? I think not.
Juve paid £32 million for Buffon at 23 years of age.
Gigi has put in 9 years of work-shift in Juventus and i can say he was well worth the amount paid back in 2001.
Terry is almost 30, how many years does he have left to play at professional level? 9 YEARS??

Not just an efficient side but more importantly by a better side.
Arsenal were taught proper football lessons.
Carrick and Fletcher mauled their midfield. Park-Rooney-Nani were at their best with the best counter-attacking display you will see this season.
Johnny Evans was majestic in the defence. The passes were crisp especially with Carrick just picking his team-mates from 20-30 yards with ease while Cesc and Song need 5 touches to make the ball travel 10 yards forward.

United play more beautiful football than Arsenal. . . . . .FACTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No plonker will pay £40 million for John Terry.
He is not worth that amount even if he's 22.

This is not about being a fortune teller.
Smalling has no chance of reaching that level(absolutely no chance).
Vidic was already showing signs he'll be a great defender hence the reason Man united, Fiorentina and Inter went in for him. Vidic also did not cost £14M.
Stop being a Arrow. . . . . .Vidic cost £7 million and 2 seasons later, he was worth £50 million.
Smalling will be under the stewardship of the best man-manager in the world and at 20, the sky is his limit.

Im very pleased for Nani. The talent was always there but he just lacked confidence. Hope he kicks on from there. He has been very good for the past 3 games.
I will say he's been explosive since Fergie started playing him on the RIGHT(against Burnley).
It's a disgrace that it took SAF several years to realise Nani functions better on the right flank.
Portugal didn't miss Ronaldo in the WCQ(after Ronaldo's injury) and that was because Nani was outstanding in those play-offs.

And Let's be honest, he ain't no Nesta or Ferdinand talent wise.
You must be a fortune teller to know a 20-yr-old defender won't reach Nesta/Rio level.

and really, as bad as Eduardo has been, he would have passed those balls that Arshavin wanted to score PS3 style.
Robin Van Persiehuh
huh
Note:I am making no excuses, but we didnt have full options also
We have had Vidic/Rio together only FOUR times in the league this season.
Chelsea and Arsenal have conceded 12 goals from set-piece(excluding penalties)
Liverpool have conceded 11 goals from set-piece and United have conceded just 4 goals with a make-shift defence.

Arsenal had no excuse, letz be honest.

United outfoxed y'all. No dirty tactics, no anti-football, no long balls.
