That will be good but we must score loads of goal incase of any slip up. The way clubs(Big & Small) are beating and drawing each other 7 points gap will be a tall order for any club this season.
United always play better in the second half of the season.
When clubs like Arsenal/Chelsea falter after Christmas. . . . . .United step on the gas.
By the end of this month, you will see the effect of what i mean.

I doubt it. . . . .
United will win the title with at least 7 points gap.
These underachievers cannot remember how to win a league title any longer.

It's a disgrace that Chelsea/Arsenal have failed to capitalise on United's injury crisis in the defence.
To think Vidic/Rio have only played 4 league games together and we are only 2 points below the league leaders is a credit to SAF.
Now that Nani is flying. . . . . . . .It's looking like another United title.

Can A$$es do a nice job? Looks like they will be boosted by this draw tonite. AW is on fone now with PB right apologising for what fab4 did last season at the same time seeking advice and initiative on how to tackle those rugby players on sunday.
I remember telling Nateevs and Debosky that the rot starts after those African players come back from ACN.
The best result Chelsea can get on Sunday is another DRAW. If Wenger pushes the envelope, Arsenal will win @ the Bridge.
Advantage Fergie. . . . . .By the time the London clubs neutralise each other on Sunday, United woulda decimated Pompey to go on top.

At this rate, 79 points will win the league. grin

I know how you feel. Its the most critically acclaimed movie of 2009. "The Hurt Locker" has received a lot of positive reviews from critics. But trust the moviegoers themselves, they have different opinions on the movie. Well, to me, "The Hurt Locker" was an OK movie about that bomb disposal guru.
What is so spectacular about the movie?
A bomb disposal psycho defusing bombs all over Iraq and then what?
No plot, the conversation was ZERO, the camera angles weren't right and to think the movie was nominated goes to show how Hollywood has sunken to a new low.

Sauron, the only thing you can be sure of is that the sun will rise sometime tomorrow (even this is not guaranteed if we believe the bible punching folks),
With the way Wenger has handled the squad, i don't expect the sun rising any time soon.
The facts are there for all to see.

maybe its Mr. Arshavin's attitude that prevented him from passing to his team mates because he probably believes he is the only one who can do it for the team. A player shouldn't go bout undermining his own team. nuff said. Mr. Roy Keane went about doing the same thing some years back and we all saw where that ended and what came after.
TBH, Arshavin did what was right given the circumstances.
Rosicky & Cesc were late arriving into the box to receive any pass from Arshavin.
The Russian assassin does not waste time and there was nothing to say Cesc/Rozzi woulda finished off the chances anyways.

Fans are biased - If it was Eduardo that missed those chances yesterday, A-40 would've been screaming that he's finished. But not so for AA23 right?  huh While not saying both players are the same, it just shows you how people's minds work.

Song was as culpable as Denilson - he wasn't even anywhere near the ball in the goals but he is a Saint based on previous performances.
Cesc was a dud - even Song was more creative than him but little is heard about that, yes due to his sterling qualities he can be forgiven, but one wonders if we are listening to long held opinions or analysis of a game.

Don't mind me, just trying to make sense of the bile we're hearing.
Hahahahaha(Welcome to the club). . . . .Fans are over-biased.

A crap team performance is the perfect excuse for the usual supects to lay into their usual targets and completely ignore even shoddier performances from players who they never criticise, no matter how badly they play. I have had to defend Berbatov more often than wiping my arse in the loo this season. Even when he doesn't play, NL peops still find the time n space to criticise his absence.

That's the way we roll on Nairaland.
It's illogical, irritating and f'ucks up the chance of any sensible debate but it's always gonna be that way.
Arsenal fans will never criticise Cesc who had a mare against United. He created nothing on the night but Cesc is god so you dare not blame him.

You are not an Arsenal fan so this is none of your business, it is important to speak positively at all times.
So i have to be an Arsenal fan to pass ma opinion on Arsenal matters?
Seriously. . . . .How low can you sink?

I recall during the 07/08 season when we were 5 points ahead of manure and it seemed we had won the league. I recall a certain Wayne Rooney coming out to say Manure would catch up with Arsenal which they did, he never explained why he believed they would or how they ended up 5 points behind in the first instance.
Conveniently forgetting United and Arsenal were neck and neck in the months of Nov-January. . . . .
United had the ammo to eclipse Arsenal in 07/08. . . .Arsenal don't have that now as we speak.
Cesc being positive changes nothing on ground. Cesc's positivity will not resurrect Van Persie or bring David Villa to Arsenal.
Arshavin knows Arsene Wenger shoulda bought a striker this January just like many of y'all had prayed n fasted on the issue some weeks ago.
I see nothing wrong in what Andrei has said. . . . . .He's just being realistic.

If you are already defeated in your mind the way Arshavin seems to be then you have already lost even b4 you stepped on the pitch.

Even Wenger is defeated in his mind. . . . .

Of course, Chelski fans want all the 3 points on Sunday but Arsenal want it MORE.

Whatever happens on Sunday, Chelsea will still be at the top of the table unless you drop points tonight.
This situation creates a false belief. . . . .as long as your position is not threatened there's a tendency for the players to be complacent.

Arsenal will be out of the title race if they lose again next weekend.
I don't think a manager who hasn't won nowt in 5 seasons can afford that so he will do everything possible to win on Sunday.

People just like to re-write history on a whim - was it George Graham's defence that won the league with the best defensive record AND best attack in 2004? Was it 's defence that went 10 games without conceding in the CL against Real, Juventus and other big wigs? huh

Was it 's defence that won the FA cup in 2005? huh

Our current problem is very clear - the CBs are TOO ADVENTUROUS. When they go forward, the DM(s) needs to be disciplined to stay back and avoid being drawn into the action as well. Failure to do so leads to break away goals as we've been seeing.

As for the games against Stoke and Everton, the absence of Song could be blamed for that - he usually takes up the CB role when the two CBs go forward, accompanied by at least one fullback (usually the LB) to also track back.

Unfortunately, Song lost this discipline against Utd and got caught up in attacking play way too much, leaving a slow Denilson awfully exposed.

Add to that lack of discipline the sheer ineffectiveness of two of the front three - Rozzi at least tried tackling and chasing, but Arshavin and Nasri were useless at that and put even more pressure on the rest of the side.

Compare that to the pressing we got from Bendtner and RVP right from the front at the beginning of the season and the true cause of the defensive issues emerge.

While Wenger is not a defensive coach by nature, he teaches his teams to defend as a whole unit - whenever a part of that unit fails to defend, the entire team becomes vulnerable.
Debosky and cheap excuses.
What has the absence of Song gotta do with the games against Everton and Stoke?
If he didn't play on Sunday, i can guarantee you 99% of the Arsenal fans would be saying they lost because of his absence.

I knew this was going to happen when you joined the other retards saying the Lord's name in vain some weeks ago.

Wenger has no defensive instinct. . . . they made the same mistakes against y'all that they made against Stoke and Everton. . . and same as they always make. . . . what makes you think Wenger has ever been defensively competent in his life?
I think he takes the beautiful football thingy a jot too far.
Even when they are under attack, the defenders want to pass their way out instead of clearing the ball outta danger.
Trust me, he woulda learnt a lot from what happened on Sunday. Wenger does not like losing to Man Utd.

Thank God for George Graham who left him an already packaged defence. . . . as Wenger's former defensive coach (hired by George Graham) once said "Arsene has never given me instructions to carry out defensive training with the team, nor has he ever done any himself". . . .
George Graham's team was boring though successful.
The same GAYnners didn't like his brand of football. . . .BORING BORING ARSENAL!!!

How else do you explain a manager who sees the finer points of Silvestre, Cygan, Djorou and Kolo Toure (last 3 seasons) ?
In Vermaelen, they have a very good defender.
I think their major problem is how easily exposed they get in counter-attacks.
When you have 2 strikers to mark, put 3 players on them. . . . . .When you have a lone striker to mark, then 2 defenders should be deployed.
I dunno why Wenger does 1 V 1 at the back whenever his team is further up the pitch to take corner kicks.

Rinus Michels Extends Hannibal FC Contract

The 39-year-old, who signed an initial three-year deal last autumn, has now pledged to stay until 2020.

"I am delighted to be signing this new contract. My heart is with Hannibal FC and the fantastic group of players I have," Michels told SKYSPORTS
"But the vision of the owner and the board for the future of Hannibal FC is also one I want to be part of."
He added: "I am totally behind this project and their support in achieving it means Hannibal FC is the place where I will be happiest in my work.

Michels was already the highest-earning manager in the FPL with an estimated total of £15.1m this season, according to a survey by Deloitte and Forbes magazine. However, his new deal is expected to earn him around £22m a year, even before bonuses or commercial deals.
The Dutch has been rewarded for a superb first season at Hannibal FC during which his team has improved massively and recently copping the most points in the last game week.

Michel's side also reached the advanced stages in the Fantasy cup before they were knocked out a fortnight ago.
However, despite that agonising defeat, Michels returned to sign his new deal.
"This is great news for everybody concerned," said Hannibal FC Chairman Lord Sauron.
"Both the club and Rinus share a long-term vision for the future, that was clear from the moment we first met.
"We talked then about a 10-year plan for Hannibal FC and Rinus Michels wanted to be an integral part of building that.
"This deal demonstrates Rinus' commitment to Hannibal FC and also our certainty that he is the best manager to take the club into a new, exciting and successful era."
