@ RuuDie
A few weeks ago I mentioned to Sharon that The Sun reported that Berba was due a knee injury to correct the problem and might be out for three months and he claimed that the surgery had been long completed. If he has had that surgery, what exactly is being 'sorted out' again regarding the knee?
He had a minor surgery after the Blackburn game at Old Trafford.
The management felt all he needed was a minor one to clear his knee but now the knee must be opened.
Two different things.

Either I was right previously and Sharon was abysmally wrong on the surgery status of his benefactor, or Berba's knees are not better than that of a 90 year old OAP suffering from acute arthritis.  grin grin
He is having ANOTHER surgery. . . . . The exploratory operation.
It's way different to what he had some months ago so we are both right on his status.
He had one when he missed the clash against Chelsea n Everton.

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov underwent knee surgery last week, it has been revealed.

The Sunday Mirror says United’s £30million striker went under the surgeon’s knife on Monday while his team-mates were preparing to face Wolfsburg in the Champions League.

Berbatov has been struggling since being injured against Blackburn at the start of last month. He missed games against Chelsea and CSKA Moscow before returning to the side.

But the problem flared again when he was on international duty for Bulgaria and he was sent to see a specialist who recommended the surgery.

The operation was a minor procedure designed to “clean out” any floating debris inside his knee.

Berbatov was able to resume light training within 48 hours and he was even fit enough to return to United’s bench for the game against Aston Villa yesterday
presido1:
While he is under the knife, let SAF look for buyer sharp sharp. I don't what to see berba-yaradua putting on United colour again inside the pitch. How can somebody be too lazy to celebrate his goal? Haba.
Antonio Valencia is also lazy because he doesn't celebrate goals.
Rafa Benitez is lazy. . . .He never celebrates goals.
I am disappointed in you. grin

I don't believe the story but if there is an iota of truth in it, then he should sell not only Berba. Nani, welbeck, tosic, foster and who else
Lemme check
The story is useless.
Never ever believe a story that has no quote from either SAF or a staff of Man Utd.
A retard sits beside his desk. . . . . . .cooks up something to write and he says a close source from OT said blah blah blah.

Tumfulu of NL can also do the same with a pen and a notepad.

If for anything, yesterday's game proves Berbatov is what makes United tick.
Without him in the attack, we lack creativity as he gives us a different dimension when he plays.
Berbatov is the most intelligent United player. This is another method the British media is using to cover up for Rooney's appalling finishing in front of goal.

Ibime:
So who still thinks Man Utd wasnt a one-man team?
Fergie had been outclassed over 4 years ago, and was about to retire. . . . Queiroz and Ronaldo came to save his backside.
Why don't you shut up your mouth and think like someone with half-a-brain?
One man team? The absence of Vidic + Rio + VDS is what you call a one man team? Are you this brainless?
Ronaldo had an ordinary season by his standard.

Imagine Manure fans making mouth anyhow with that their nonsense team which was carried for the last 3 years by a freak of nature.
Without Ronaldo, United topped their group in Europe with 2 games to spare.
Without Ronaldo, United have scored more league goals than they did at this stage last season.
Without Carlos Queiroz, SAF retained EPL title and got to another final of UCL. . . . .U sure sound like a lobotomised ape.

Only Rooney and Vidic would make the Chelsea team. . . . . eeediots!!!
This is the most brainless, tactless, retarded statement i have read on this forum.
It's still a new year and you are already nominated as the most headless NL member with 11 months to spare?
Crack on Ibime. Crack on!!!!

If United had a stable defence like their rivals, Ronaldo's absence wouldn't get mentioned.
The team is struggling because of the lack of a defensive cover at the back.
To think Chelsea went to St. Andrews with a strong team and nearly got beaten by Birmingham speaks more about Chelsea than United.

My point remains; monitor the schools and weed out the extremists.

Many of the extremists in the UK became radicalised without ever having to go through Islamic schools. Muttalab was effectively radicalised in the UK not in a madrassa.
Says who?
With the number of Islamic clerics in the UK hate-preaching here n there. . . .what do you expect?
Why was that Islamic cleric with the hook hand jailed in the first place? Muttallab was radicalised in UK whilst attending Islamic schools/gathering, etc.

I don't think closing all Islamic schools helps. It's as sensible a suggestion as asking that you close all mosques.
America didn't even ask Nigerian authorities to close all Islamic schools.
They want Nigeria to identify the bad ones and close them down. That shouldn't be too difficult for a country that shot Boko Haram while in Police Custody.

They can't and shouldn't try to close all Islamic schools. Not all Islamic schools foster terrorism. However, there should be an effective monitoring mechanism for supervising these schools and weeding out those schools that are a front for promoting extremism.

Closing Islamic schools in the north will not go well at all just like terrorists giving Nigeria a bad image won't go well at all.
Islamic scholars should take a bold step and weed off the bad eggs in their midst.

There's nowhere in the Quaran that says Muslims should hide like cowards amongst innocent people and trigger a bomb.

Nasri isn't a defender and isn't fast - if that was Traore or Sagna, I'd wager two months' salary that he'd have caught Pienaar.
Nasri is a winger - wingers are fast.
Pienaar is no slouch too cos he is a winger as well . It's like having Ronaldo vs Valencia situation.
The thing is. . . . .It was the OFFside trap that screwed Arsenal up.
It's either a player chooses to stay with his man and tackle OR take the easier route by stepping forward to keep a striker OFFside.

Nasri chose the former. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Frankly he was very good - apart from Almunia's great saves and Denilson's overall play before his injury, he was our best performer.
He didn't get going until the second half though. . . . . .Fellaini gave him HELL in the first 45.

Traore had a stinker - he was twisted inside out by Donovan and Osman all game. Towards he was very pissed off and was talking to Gallas but the old Frenchie just ignored him. Then he cleared an Everton corner when he wasn't under pressure and was mad at the other guys for not giving him a shout. I like the lad, but he didn't look good today. . . I'm glad Clichy is back in training.
That is what you get with rookies.
U cannot guarantee consistency with young players.
This week they are world class defenders, the following week they are pants.

Gibbs completely nullified Ronaldo at OT last season in the 1st leg Semis. . . . .In the 2nd leg, he was found out.

Why must we avoid closing down schools that breed terrorists just so we can avoid chaos and murder? Is violence a muslim attribute alone? What is it with these intolerant sons of satan?

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. by Sauron1: 11:42pm On Jan 09, 2010

I agree - but at least give the player something else to think about apart from the shot - he didn't get any pressure at all and Almunia couldn't to much that faintly touch the ball as it went over. That said, Nasri panicked - he was just running blindly back and if at least one defender was behind he could've had time to think.
Then the other defender you are wishing for woulda been the culprit cos he would be keeping an Everton player ONside.
The whole idea is to play on the shoulder of the LAST defender and whoever it was woulda been caught like Nasri did.

I agree they did, but you also have to give credit to Diaby and Rozzi for their determination and skill to carve out that opening - it was the best Arsenal move of the match and was deserving of a goal.
Diaby was magnificent. . . . . .I always fancy players who can think out of the box in crucial times in a match.
Rooney should borrow a leaf from Abou Diaby. grin

Closing Islamic schools that have now become the breeding ground for potential terrorists is a starting point - I support the move.
Honestly, this is one of the negatives of Democracy. The whole Sharia nonsense the democratic government allowed in the Northern States have now turned full circle on us. Where do we go from here?

Even if Rozzi gives the ball away, why would there be NOBODY back? Poor Nasri cannot even be blamed much - he was simply running back to cover because there was no one there. . . .where was Gallas or Vermaelen? Where was Sagna or Traore? Not one of them had the presence of mind to at least stay on the arsenal side of the middle line.
I agree with this. . . . .full backs normally stay behind to cut off any sorta counter attack because they are usually the fastest.
That said, what happened could still have happened with Traore/Sagna at the back.
Arsenal players were trying to keep Pienaar OFFside but don't discredit the through pass that found Pienaar racing towards the Arsenal goal.
The pass was WORLD CLASS.

That said, to even come away with a point is worthy of some praise - in this type of game, once we went 2-1 down, we'd be torn apart further and it would end 3 or 4-1.
Everton played well and they deserved more than 1 point.
