Coronabirus:

This is the reason why we call people like u dogmatic. In the whole Nigeria it is only in Jigawa that u will see each and every LG having good roads including villages, there is no single bad road in Jigawa except few FG roads, Jigawa has the most infrastructure in education across the LGs of the state than any other Nigerian state, have the best access to portable water, pregnant women and children have free access to healthcare, all Govt staffs have health insurance with reliable access to treatment and medicine, people of Jigawa receive atleast 12hrs electricity daily with access to Street light in all her 27 LGs and and Solar lamp in villages, wind mill sourcing water to herdsmen in RUGA. If other states will get average of Jigawa State social amenities they may start worshipping their Governors(this is true, no hype).
Do u know why I said all these? Because in other Nigerian states projects are built in state capitals only and the gullible followers praise their dubious Governors for this deceptive action by leaving other LGs in difficulties and suffering.
I call u dogmatic because if u believe in social media and Nairaland for concrete, authentic and reliable source of news and believe the hoax being dumped here then u are totally lost. I travelled to all Nigerian states and have seen a lot!
True talk, it's get annoying when someone judges from his limited view, you've not been there no Judge.
I schooled in Gombe, even in tiny communities motoroable roads, Jigawa and road network are you joking, their road network beats many other states by far, consistent electricity is common in Jigawa, they may not be "Loud" it doesn't mean they do no function.

Let's be factual here Sir, our school system and curriculum has never actually been friendly, there's an overwhelming need for us to do it rightly.
School is important but you developing yourself is IMPORTANTER. Oga, nobody want to employ someone whom all he has is educational certificate. Sir, add skills real life skills that are relatable, build yourself, no add excessive load that you cannot bear.
If you become better I assure you someone would refer you.
NB: The Nigerian Educational Curriculum seeks to solve a 21st Century problem with a 19th Century ideology, make yourself better.

So I figured these days our pride so swollen we can't even have a decent conversation, our mindset long changed we both act as if we don't care.
Slowly we drifting apart and it doesn't look that serious now, until sadly we can't stand ourselves no more, we claim we are lovers but the loving ain't there again.
It amazing what we try to represent our own misguided interests that pits us against each other.
Am angry and getting depressed and it's hurting to say that I don't love you no more, for never have you cared to create a conversation, foster communication or lead to my appreciation. It's always been about you but sadly I can't do that no more, can't put my feelings and my heart to the world no more, heck am never appreciated so am sorry to say it now, although we may regret it later and burn up inside.
Am done loving you.

Literature / Musings Of An Emotional Wreck by Sazzy07(m): 4:25pm On Sep 25, 2020
These are the Musings of an Emotional Wreck.
It was supposed to be us against the world, we had the chance to make our own name just like Jack and Jill it even better Romeo and Juliet.
Little did I know there was no affection betwixt us just pity, it sad to say today the cracks are beyond repair the palace of our fiasco love must come crashing.
I did the best I could, loved you and hoped for something, anything from you but all I was facing my cares, love, attention and affection on was a void, who receives only but offers silence and fear in return.
There was never me in the equation, it had to be you, I thought you were my intoxicant but rather you proved toxic, polluting my heart, scorning my affection, you were determined to ruin me, with your pride so vast and unsatisfied, the fears you had of being brought so low, your sense of how things had to be done broke us.
Love is pain, it's now I can truly tell, until you learn to die, you can never learn to live and until you learn to live there's no loving. You killed every ounce of emotion in me, you broke me, I thought I had an elastic heart but there's a limit to the strain and pressure put, am broken the scars are set for a lifetime, for I did loved deeply now am ruined badly, never have I felt such pain, never such distress. In your quest you had me wrapped up in a delusion, like devil water in the desert you set to even kill off the weary traveler in me.
You've had your fill of me, I never wish you ill, I know my love would never be reciprocated, heck you may want to guilt trip me, you've been forgiven, this may be our last ever conversation, I would value your friendship, there had never been us only you.

Family / The 21st Century Nigerian Parent And The Problem Of Ineffective Parenting. by Sazzy07(m): 7:54pm On Sep 15, 2020
It was just this evening, I watched the movie Nimbe, and I saw in the movie the reality of how an average Nigerian Home looks today. To all the Parents, reading here and elsewhere, parents must come to the cognizance that how things were done during your time is much different to the 21st Century Nigerian Youth. No doubt the 21st Century has everything in its abundance, left to many others the scale tips towards the side of Evil, but who is to blame for this reality today. Is it the Child or the Parent.
I listened recently to someone who said that "from your birth to the age of 18, you look like your parents (this includes their choices and decisions), but after the age of 18 you start looking like your decisions". Parents need to sit down and relate to their children very well, and by relate I do not mean you criticizing and finding fault in the child but building on his or her strength and helping them become stronger against their weaknesses. With the advent of the World Wide Web and high speed access to the internet at just a click away, things are actually worse in most areas.
How then do we deal with this Challenge?
1. Never Forget the place of Prayer
For the non religious, this would seem absurd but you see prayers goes a long way on the Children you have.
Parents must create out time to connect: It is understandable that the average job drains you mentally, physically and emotionally, but don't be too tired to connect to your children. Create out time to listen to them and hear them out, and in the discussion do not react angrily to everything, at times being too rash cuts the child off, and the child may never speak to the parent again. You must learn to listen your child if he or she is reported, you must not quarrel and kill the child emotionally and later ask "Oya what happened? Where do you want the explanation to come from?
2. Become Friends with your Children
You can actually be friends with your child, through you focusing on their interest and channeling their energies rightly, that child would amaze you if he sees you as a friend, for he would speak more, tell you his preferences amongst others.
3. Tell them First
I believe that if you hear something for the first time, it forms the basis of your mindset and even when you receive another different information contrary to the first information you heard, rarely do you just change your mindset.
For the Fathers is not by shouting or muscles, you should sit your children down (either male or female) with your wife and tell them about their bodies, tell them the truth and expose them to their first information on matters of Sex, Drugs and the dangers of a wrong lifestyle. If you consistently tell them it forms a mindset.
Settle issues with your spouse inside
The cases of parents shouting and quarreling in front of their children have already damage their emotional growth, and please stop pitting the Children against your spouse. The danger is this they will carry a mindset of negativity to their own families and a circle of pain and shame continues.
4.Be a Strict but Fair Parent
Naughtiness is inbreed in every child, but it can be corrected, be ready to discipline your child, constructively criticize them in fairness, do not transfer aggression or frustration on the child in your time of discipline.

Parents must understand that although we are in different timelines, experiences do count and the children can learn from the errors and failures of their parents.
Thank you for reading

Would you rather have your own kids become cultists and also have frat boys cut of their heads and send you pictures? Every mallam to him kettle, mind your goddamn business.
I am not against parenting but you need to let individuals the children you have to sort things out by them self, you are to act as a guardian, a teacher. Not to be the enemy, most people would not even tell their parents nothing. So it becomes a problem tomorrow if the child has any issue at all, why? There is no relationship at all.
