1) His only hope to win is northern support because Southerners have long written him off. The people of the south consider him a spoiler too greedy to support South East or South South presidency. It is the same greed that made him steal Lagos dry. So in the South, we are determined to make sure he doesn't get his hands on CBN and NNPC accounts.

2) Without southern votes, Tinubu's hope is to fight really dirty to grab as much northern votes as possible. And the north is synonymous with islam. So a Muslim-Muslim ticket is the only option that would fly in the north for him.

3) Northern cabals prefer a Muslim-Muslim ticket since it'll ensure that they keep a firm grip on power. It's common knowledge that Tinubu is sick. What better strategy to position a northern Fulani Muslim, to take power as vice if the unthinkable should happen the way it happened for GEJ.

4) From the permutations of the power brokers of APC, a shaking country needs a shakit president and Tinubu is already shaking, so what better option than to back him up with the option that would give him more votes - a Muslim-Muslim ticket?

Average Nigerian tribes will NEVER have sense in the sense you're referring. I remember arguing with people from this same southern Kaduna and Benue about the consequences of a Buhari presidency on their safety. One said, "he cannot do it". Another said "If I no vote Buhari, who I go vote" That was when I realized that Ndigbo are in a class of their own in this country in terms of strategic reasoning. How many people have been buried in this same southern Kaduna and Benue Plateau since then? No wonder the movement and call for Ndigbo to leave Nigeria. These our African tribes are not it.

Today Igbo is still warning them against voting calamities, especially considering that both men +Atiku and Obi) supported a Buhari. If Nigerians are wise, isn't it enough reason to know that these men lack sound reasoning?

Finally, Yoruba are the problem of the country. You see all these killings going on? They're indirectly involved because they are complicit. Fulani killls, they help cover up with lies such as farmer-herder clash. They'll never call it ethnic cleansing. In the East, they're intentionally blackmailing IPOB because of their hatred for Ndigbo. But wait until it gets to them as I'm sure it'll soon do.

The choices for Nigerians in 2023 are still Fulani men after Buhari's 8 years. For a country of 200+ tribes, isn't that a shame?

The bad or rather poor politics the ibos play is majorly responsible for the reason they have not been able to produce the president. You cannot really win the presidency without the block support of the north, take it to the bank. They have the highest number of states, documented population, local governments as well as registered voters who are willing to come out/travel just to vote. Power swings between North and South. Does it occur to the Ibos that Obi is currently playing a spoiler’s game that will also end up coming back to hunt them tomorrow? Of course Peter is very popular on SM and the most intellectual of the candidates to the unbiased, but on what vehicle or platform? How well did he consolidate APGA in the south east? Even in his own Anambra other parties remained a great force while his governorship lasted.

Should Obi divide the eastern votes with Atiku, the best bet is Bola wins and stays 8 years after which power goes back to North for another 8 years making 16. When it comes back south, if they are still playing their myopic politics, it will go to the southwest again. But knowing fully well Atiku will not make inroads in the SW with Tinubu on the ballot, they have a chance of working with Atiku and when power comes back south, it goes east because they were instrumental and not the west. Power going west now via APC is the only moral thing to do, apart from Rochas and Ngige, who did not even win their states, can you compare the western and eastern impacts in forming the present government? The north and the southwest are capable of continuously producing the president for ages with their alignment. Politics is a game of numbers and not lamentations. It’s better for the ibos to either align with either party, boost it chances of winning and consolidate within it to fight for its turn to rule. You all saw how Tambuwal stepped down for Atiku for common good and how nearly all SW heavyweights stepped down for Bola, something an Eastern cannot do for a fellow Easterner and you think someone else is responsible for your marginalization.
