Amen....Amen....Amen. That's how they end prayers when people die in my place. It's dead on arrival. |
Yoruba people do not care. The cowards already dropped Igboho like hot potatoes the way they dropped Abiola and Sahara Reporters man. What's his name again? Betrayal is in the blood |
JaroMan:They are a Tribe of witches and wizards |
So Igbo men are still living in the north with this thunderstorm brewing by Boko Haram and other Terror groups? |
orisa37:El-Rufai for president or Buhari for third term 2023. |
GreatTormentor:Like the drug baron bullion van gangster of Chicago you meant? |
dokyOloye:That one ehhhh....If God wants to punish a nation, He gives them a bad president and even hypocritical and evil vice. |
Restructuring:Not sure. |
Ovamboland:It's time ...almost time for it to end badly for any Yoruba candidate. SE and SS will see to it. |
Have you noticed that the most prominent names being promoted are the most corrupt of the corrupt from the East, West, North and South? Nigeria is a goner. Please keep promoting your corrupt thieves. Our hope is an Igbo nation. |
Niorte:So even Atiku and Orji Uzor Kalu are underdogs? Why did Tinubu go to his house to beg Kalu? No be only underdog, na dogunder. |
Sonyboom765:Your hatred for Igbo won't change anything. We take it in stride. Between a corrupt Tinubu and a corrupt Atiku, you can bet that every other southerner will back Atiku. No one will reward you for 2015 treachery against the south. Take that to the bank because failure stared your Tinubu in the face. |
Biafrarep:Let me add by saying that Igbo are more spenders than any other ethnic group in Nigeria. So it is all wash. |
Ovamboland:Really? Why should I vote Osibanjo who like most Yoruba politicians are Igbophobic, selfish and anti other southerners when Atiku is there? Atiku is a far more better deal for the south than any clannish Yoruba. Moreover, why should any Yoruba be rewarded for the treachery against the south in 2015? It is either an Igbo president or the north contnues. They should take advantage of the absence of southern unity. Your governors can beg but without Igbo consensus candidate, there shall be no southern president. |
Ikinternational:The fools go on overdrive whenever they hear Igbo. Imagine a post made for Ndiigbo attracting the fleas as if Igbo is their life blood. Anyway, how would they exist without Ndiigbo? That is why the prospect of Igbo exit gives them hypertension. |
I pity the south. When these Jihadists get enough clout, they'll just roll down to the defenseless south. That is when the foolishness of 2015 will clear from their eyes. If they're decimating the well-armed north, south will be a piece of cake. This is one of the reason we back Igbo exit. Unfortunately, most southern tribes are as docile as the Hausa and northern minorities that became a sitting duck slaughtered at will. |
adamsmith914:To start with, you have not proven that you have more sense than any other blackman based on how crude your reasoning and response is. If you have lived in US and Canada and this crude, you have no basis to criticize any blackman. US colonies were made of people from different countries. Did they accentuate diversity? If they did, today, there would have been at least 4 official languages in US, a state like Louisiana would be French while Texas would be Spanish. Why did the Americans work hard to end Russian language in Alaska if diversity is such a great idea? It is the same foolishness that you accuse the blacks of exhibiting that the whiteman is careful about. What Europe and North America does not promote is what you're promoting for Africa. Do you think Rwanda would have had genocide if the Hutus were in only one country, say Burundi instead of being spread in Congo, Rwanda and Burundi? Commonsense dictates that the Tutsis were better off in one country instead of Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda. Africans are tribal people. Even in the US, native Americans still retained their tribal values and cultures. It is an anomaly for any black African to allow themselves to be fooled with the concept of diversity. Diversity as deeply as entrenched in Africa is retrogressive. That is why in America, the natives are hounded in reservations. To conclude that your sojourn has not benefited you as a blackman, this post is not about diversity but about tribe, but your black heart out of hatred for Ndiigbo could only respond with foolishness. You expect Africans to expunge their tribal roots overnight while you're exhibiting tribal hate against Ndiigbo while feigning sufferstication. Is that how Americans and Canadian debate in their forums? By responding out of context? |
louqas:Commonsense should tell Yoruba that if they could sell out the south in 2015 that no southerner will support a Yoruba presidency. Instead, the Fulani should continue if Yoruba will not step down for Igbo presidency. Both PDP and APC should field Igbo candidates or Fulani will keep ruling. We know who will lose finally. |
adamsmith914:Is America and Canada diverse countries? Are there officially different cultures in the US? For instance, language? How many languages do US and Canada have? Do not be deceived. That's how the Europeans deceived Africa by lobbing in different people in one country - something they do not have in their places. |
adamsmith914:Osibanjo is a small fry compared to Tinubu. What Tinubu cannot get, many Osibanjo cannot. Tinubu is the only Yoruba with clout enough to marshal all Yoruba support, but beyond Yorubaland, he is lightweight. |
When I read some posts and comments from some of our Igbo people, I wonder why the modern Igbo do not teach their children the little of history that they know or even research to understand their roots. Who is an Igbo? What many of Ndigbo do not know is that there is no ethnic group or sub-group that referred to themselves as Igbo. At best, many Igbo sub-groups had adjectives that they used in describing themselves but definitely not Igbo. For instance, before the advent of the whiteman in my part of Igbo, our people referred to other Igbo regions around my place based on the sort of war party or regalia they adorned while going for battles. These are Ota Nchara and Ota Nzu. So clans that rubbed clay before battles were called Ota Nzu, while those that rubbed bronze were Ota Nchara. Now as to the matter of Igbo. No Igbo sub-group referred to themselves as Ndiigbo. It seems that this was not necessary since they knew they were all Igbo. However, when visitors from other clans, especially faraway clans came. Precolonial Igbos referred to such people as Onye Igbo, if such persons were an Igbo. There are basic traits with which Ndiigbo know themselves. These are our belief in ancestors, four market days of Eke, Orie, Afor, Nkwo, the Igbo language which has dialects and the centrality of Yam as a staple food and the ceremonies around it. Others are burial rites of passage, the Nze na Ozo title, an Eze Mmuo and a decentralized government structure in which every clan is governed by family heads. Also every Igbo family has an Obi. There could be more. Now, if you had all these in your community before the advent of the whiteman and speak Igbo but claim that you're not Igbo, it means that the Igbo nation conquered your people the same period the Arabs conquered Egypt and North Africa and destroyed your culture (language inclusive). |
Kalu Vs Atiku = Atiku wins with majority northern votes plus Yoruba Muslim Votes Tinubu Vs Atiku = Atiku wins with majority northern votes plus SE & SS votes So who will stop ATIKU? Only southern unity with Igbo consensus candidates in both APC and PDP Be wise or the north will rule as long as they wish. |
Well...it's no longer news that Mr Tinubu and Mr Kalu are both gunning for Nigeria's presidency. It's also not news that the former met with the latter on the same subject matter. So why would Tinubu want Kalu to step down for him? I can hazard a guess/guesses. 1) The north certain have made it clear that they're backing Kalu for presidency. The signs are there: brought him out of prison for presidency. The antecedence is there - Obasanjo. 2) Tinubu knows that with Kalu and the backing of the military generals that made Kalu a billionaire, prior to the days of PDP, that he stood no chance in a contest. He's got the dough but not the clout, like the generals that made Obasanjo president. 3) Tinubu knows that the clock is ticking... His time must be now or never. He isn't getting any younger na. Kalu can still contest in 8 years but certainly not Tinubu. Even now, the electorate are already saying that he's too old. 4) He needs the support of the south, especially Igbo. And hoped that Kalu would join his train and boost his popularity considering his 2015 misadventure that has made him a stench in the nostrils of all southerners in the East and South when he betrayed a southern president - Jonathan. In a nutshell, Tinubu knows when the odds are against him. |
Siwisheswereesh:A southern VP is good enough as long as no Yoruba smells presidency ever again. In fact, a perpetual Fulani presidency is a better deal for Ndiigbo than a Yoruba presidency. At least we can defend ourselves against a Jihad. Can you? ![]() |
Ever8090:They are two nasty parties. What makes APC nastier is that they're as crooked as PDP. Perhaps more crooked by laced with terrorism. |
FarahAideed:2015 too...they even rigged from within PDP. All northerners in PDP rigged for APC in 2015. They're all waiting for the party that will field a northerner to join hands from behind and rig in the person. Only southern unity through a consensus Igbo candidate can thwart their plan. |
efighter:Any Fulani is better than Yoruba. It's either Igbo president 2023 or a Fulani president. |
Grgton:Too old to contemplate presidency. He should retire to old people's home. |
I love Ndi Igbo for one thing: we are the only ethnic group that consistently stand for the truth. 1966 coup practically saved Yoruba and Tiv people, even though they turned around to join Britain and other tribes against Igbo. |
In fact, it is doubtful that they won in 2019. Even 2015 was dubious.... This is one party that has caused so much harm to the country that PDP would be obtuse not to leverage the calamitous situation. The only way APC would gain attention is by projecting someone with mega credibility. Unfortunately, I see none among their ranks. Anyway, the best bet for both parties is to have two Igbo fly their flags. In any case, only an Igbo presidency will bring power to the south. Any other southern region playing monkey tricks will hand power to the north. Igbo presidency or power to the north. |
