If you know NdiIgbo, you'd be aware that only two events, nay three have united NdiIgbo, the first was colonialism, the second was Biafra and now the third is Buhari's presidency. Igbo are a people in dire need of unity and this government has done a yeoman's job in helping Igbo forge an unprecedented unity not seen since after the days of Biafra. Prior to 2015, NdiIgbo were just one generation from accepting Nigeria as home. It is a fact that most of NdiIgbo that actually believe the subjugation plot against Igbo are mostly the educated ones that witnessed the civil war. The fact that most of these people are already in their fifties and sixties means that something needed to happen for the younger generation like us to fully understand the need for an Igbo unity and something really has happened. Imagine millions of Igbo speaking with one voice in support of IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu. Do we all believe in Kanu? No, but we believe that he is an Igbo nationalist though he has the tendency of mixing up issues with his interest in multi-tribal Biafra. We also believe some of the things he has said (not all) and the fact that Igbo needs unity to face existential threats such as jihads. Are Kanu's methods the best? Not entirely, but the fact is that, no ethnic group is speaking with one voice in defense of their homeland like Igbo. Thanks to the regime's anti-Igbo sentiments and actions that have brought our people together. NdiIgbo are also reaching out for the first time to peripheral Igbo communities and clans that were carved into states with other tribes. This is why we need a voice. A voice stronger than Ohaneze NdiIgbo. A real Igbo council that represents every Igbo clan and "selected" by the people from their homes is what is needed at this time. |
Malawian:I do not believe in Ohaneze. They may have their use but definitely are not representing mainstream Igbo. I think they should be a peripheral organization and not the main group that represent Ndi-Igbo. We need a more realistic group such that represents every Igbo village, clan or community. I think an Igbo council of elders that represents Igbo values is what we need. Ohaneze may still be a political arm but they definitely do not represent the ideals of Igbo |
Ofunaofu:What I'm saying is that Ohaneze may not be what we need. I see them as a group of people who do not really know what Ndi Igbo want. That they have political inclination and seem to be aligned to the Nigerian concept of politics makes their objective at variance with mainstream Igbo. |
CC: Bkayy Igboid Slayerforever OfoIgbo I just came across a comment by Bkayy regarding the ineffectiveness of Ohaneze Ndigbo even after making this post. This means that I'm not the only one who has noticed this. We can as well see that if they were doing a great job, they could even have been the stabilizing influence on the Igbo vision which they haven't been. |
BKayy:Wow... seems we are thinking along the same line. I just made a post on the Ohaneze issue and the fact that these men do not represent the core Igbo values. I'll mention you there. |
1) Looking at Ohaneze, what I see is a group of people who have been molded to be reactive to a constitution that hinders Igbo and Southern progress. 2) These guys do not have the drive necessary to mobilize Igbo and Igbo consciousness to realize the Igbo vision. 3) They are more of politicians interested in handouts from Nigerian government than in realizing the Igbo vision. 4) These are people who are too cautious in pushing for Igbo agenda. The Solution I think that it will be a good idea for Ohaneze to be replaced or work in tandem with a more visionary Igbo council. This council would be like the Igbo Nze Na Ozo or Umunna that would be selected based on traditional Igbo system. Imagine every Igbo clan/village/community. Imagine having every community select the most competent representative and these now select 200 to 400 men to project the Igbo vision instead of these random Ohaneze who sound more like Nigerian politicians? I think this is one of the steps required to give the Igbo vision needed thrust. |
Gbagura:Show us your picture. We want to check sontin |
SlayerForever:It's not really foolish. The soldiers are simply using the people as human shield against attack from UGM. The only way such an attack is possible is if the assailants move against the soldiers at night or low traffic times. |
adedehinbo:The best strategy for now is to keep power in the north until the southerners start growing some sense. |
jammer777:Yeah, if you're exterminated, it'll be as a result of your perpetual foolishness you think is smartness. Deal with it... |
Dsalvo:Who is emotional here? Won't your failure in the next election which must happen send you on exile? |
Ttalk:Wow, you're beginning to have a little sense. Y'all will be on ballot paper. Congrats for that. Enjoy being on ballot paper while it lasts. since the next time, you may no longer be in Nigeria. Thanks to your new IDP homes. |
Ttalk:Nwokem, 2023 is Fulani turn. Stop crying... |
Ttalk:Finally, all those are for Fulani emirate that Yoruba land will soon become. When they're building rail for you, they're seeing your land as a future possession just like Ilorin. Why are they not building in the East? It's a no-go area na ![]() |
Ttalk:Yes, that's where you're right. Sending our people to the grave is because they have no hope of taking over our land, unlike in your case. Both grave and exodus is your portion and finally, all Yoruba land becomes a Fulani emirate. Thanks to your foolishness in 2015 ![]() |
Lagos is no-man's land. That's why emir Sanusi Lamido retired there. Anyone can retire there. |
Ttalk:In 2023, the project we shall launch is Operation Empower North for More IDPs in Benin Republic ![]() You remember Yoruba's strategy in 2015? Vote Buhari, Think Osibanjo when you guys thought Buhari would die half-way so that your treacherous tribe would assume power? Now our program and game plan is, empower Fulani since we know they'll send Yoruba on exile in Republic Du Benin. It's good for politics to involve strategy to outwit your rivals the way you guys outwitted SE and SS in 2015. It's now our turn. |
Ttalk:Really? And the same north will watch idly while Fulani sends you all on exile? The way you guys reason is astounding. You must be very sophisticated.... Let me tell you a secret. They DO NOT NEED YOU to keep Nigeria united. They rather need you in Benin republic and that is the next agenda. Mumu fifo. O geme unu vam nanya |
Are you sure you're Igbo? I believe that most of your posts are targeted at opprobrium and disrespect on Ndigbo. |
Alphagan:No need. A southerner can never win without southern consensus and northern support. The north can NEVER give up power without southern unity. This is not 2015 when they were in the position of weakness so projecting ANY southern candidate is a waste of time. Presenting ANY Yoruba candidate is almost foolishness. So it is southern unity in favor of Igbo or Northern president in 2023. |
aribisala0:No, it won't. We are posting this as our own campaign to mobilize the rest of our peoples to form a block vote against anything Yoruba since we DO NOT want your treachery against the south to be forgotten by the south. Nice work we're doing to make sure you guys end up in Benin republic as Fulani has planned ![]() |
Penguin2:We all know that the north must present one candidate in either or both APC and PDP. The norther will back their fellow northerner irrespective of if they're in PDP or APC so the north already has won 2023. In reality, instead of a Yoruba, let the north win. As I said, they're the weak link in the south in all ramifications of the word. |
Better north than Yoruba. We know that the strength of the north is their unity. We also know that the weak link in the south is Yoruba. The good news is that they're also the weakest in their ability to defend themselves so expect them to mostly end in Republic of Benin after the north wins again in 2023. |
Preamble Igbo have been saving Yoruba people for a long time even though they are not appreciative of what Ndi Igbo have done for them. In January 1966, an Igbo-led coup practically saved Yoruba land from implosion. When the dust settled, the Yoruba forgot that those Igbo officers practically saved them from destroying each other. Fast forward... In 2015, Yoruba exhibited treachery against the south. In 2021, they're exhibiting greed, so all the south will help them out. 2023 will either be an Igbo president or even Buhari can continue. Yoruba backed Fulani in 2015 despite Igbo warning. Fulani turned around and started kicking Yoruba people out to Republic of Benin in continuation of a Jihad that Igbo officers stopped in 1966. Since Yoruba love Fulani so much that they so not mind going on exile for them, Igbo and the rest of the South will help Fulani achieve their dream of turning all Yoruba land to another Ilorin. The futility of Yoruba imagination is their belief that treachery is sophistication. So the choice before Yoruba is between greed and concession. Only an Igbo president from southern unity will stop the impending exodus of Yoruba people. Back Igbo president and be safe or continue with your greed an go on exile. The choice is yours. It is time for Igbo to save Yoruba again, but... If they so wish. |

Lubbish. |
They'll need more money from you to "update it at Abuja" Just ask them how much they need to sort it out. |
This is no news because it didn't happen in SE |
danot1030:Other tribes may hold views about Igbo, but Yoruba are the propagators of lies in Nigeria through the notorious Lagos-Ibadan media. If not that Fulani has started killing and sending Yoruba on exile, the normal division of labour between Yoruba and Fulani is that while the latter commit genocide, the former help them cover it it. Imagine Yoruba media terming massacres Farmer-herder clash. Trust Yoruba at your own peril. |
Ovamboland:Are you you can prove that? |
