budaatum:Atiku and Tinubu are the devil and the deep blue sea. It's that bad. |
An Atiku presidency would usher in a new phase in the Nigerian political space. It would give the Fulani elites an unfettered access to power, unhindered and unfettered power and dominance over the rest of the country. I think they are acutely aware of this and would work very hard to accomplish it. If Atiku wins, not just would the Fulani rulers who have subjugated all of the North realize that they can also subjugate the south, it would be the first time a Fulani civilian president would preside over, complete his term and hand over to another Fulani civilian president. They have been doing it as military leaders, doing it democratically would herald a new technique to keep power perpetually in the hands of the Fulani and thereby create a new conflict point with the one tribe that has zero tolerance for injustice - the Igbo, An Atiku presidency would simply show the Fulani that they do not really need the support of the South to keep power as they had previously assumed. They would simply rinse and repeat what they accomplished in 2015 and 2023. Elect one of theirs, when it's time for change of government and the South starts claiming rotation, they all would decamp to the next available party, field one of their own and clinch power for another 8 years. What is happening to Tinubu, who was instrumental in helping them clinch power in 2015 is just a case in point. The fact that the Rivers state governor, Wike, is antagonistic to an Atiku presidency and has been generally ignored by the Fulani politicians or at most upbraided has created the ideal environment for the Fulani to assess their capacity and clout in grabbing and wielding power. Should they succeed, I see the South being out of power for more than half a century. In fact, it would take another civil war to break free of that servitude. |
Nooooo...let them keep supporting a Fulani to take over from a Fulani. I keep saying it the way some of us warned in 2015. A Fulani victory at the polls may seal the fate of indigenous people and the next wave of killings by killer herdsmen would be on a biblical scale. Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Gombe, Bauchi and down to the south won't be spared. |
The Berlin Conference 1884. (The Scramble For Africa) With the support from the British, and the initiative of Portugal, Otto von Bismarck, (The first German Chancellor ), called on representatives of Austria–Hungary, Belgium, Denmark, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia,Spain, Sweden-Norway (union until 1905) and The Ottoman Empire, to take part in the Berlin Conference to work out policy regarding Africa. Its outcome, the General Act of the Berlin Conference, can be seen as the formalisation of the Scramble for Africa. The conference ushered in a period of heightened colonial activity by European powers, while simultaneously eliminating most existing forms of African autonomy and self-governance. Before the conference, the competition in Africa was so fierce, that European countries feared war amongst themselves. To prevent conflict 14 Europeans nations met at this conference. To lay down rules for the division of Africa. These European countries divided the Continent with little thought about how the African ethnic and linguistic groups were distributed . As the “scramble” for the continent’s riches got underway…..haggling…...and partitioning the African map. I have to make it clear that AFRICAN LEADERS WERE NOT INVITED TO THE MEETINGS REGARDING AFRICA’S FATE!!!! This conference represented the Bismarckian “Curse of Berlin” on Africa. https://joliba-africa.com/2013/01/26/the-berlin-conference-1884/ I have the feeling that this is one of the reasons why no race respects Africans and blacks. Imagine travelling and flashing your passport. In their minds they'd think "...they couldn't even form countries without being colonized". Could also be the reason why Africa, the most endowed continent continues to be home to the poorest people on earth. |
Beautiful... Keep stacking them up boys. The sky is a stepping stone. |
If you believe that you would believe anything. |
Peter Obi could become Nigeria's first president. The country has never really had one. |
keymatt:No sir, he's fighting for 4th with kwakwaso |
So the 5 SE states are in top 10? That's remarkable for a tribe that rejoined Nigeria after being defeated in a war. Remarkable for a tribe that became Nigerians again after all the country's assets have been cornered by one tribe and her oil wealth cornered by another. |
I'm so disappointed with how things are going for Tinubu in the North. Apart from the British and Yakabu Gowon, no other entity has favored the North like Tinubu. It is rather pathetic that Mr Tinubu doesn't seem poised to reap dividends from his massive sellout of the south. What would be heartbreaking is if Tinubu fails to garner up to 20% of northern votes despite his investments and donations. I seriously hope that Mr Tinubu and APC know what they're doing. The gale of defections to PDP from APC must stop. It is in Tinubu's interest that it stops. We cannot afford to see him disgraced. My projection has been that Tinubu would come in 3rd behind Obi and Atiku, but at the rate things are happening in the North, I see him contend with Kwakaso or worse, Sowore. |
Let's face the fact that Tinubu and Atiku are desperate. Desperate enough to want to buy their way to power. In a country where majority are living below poverty line, money can influence a lot. While Atiku could bribe his way through the PDP convention, it is doubtful that he has the funds to engage in direct vote buying to alter the outcome of the election. The reason for this is that he's been out of power (and looting) for more than a decade. Not saying he's exhausted his loot, but it is doubtful he'd embark on massive inducement knowing that the outcome isn't guaranteed for him. Tinubu's approach would be quite different. The reason is that he is still in power in Lagos. At least from the financial viewpoint. Lagos tax payers money still find its way into his pocket and so, he can afford to squander them for a shot at the presidency. When he said that it is his turn to rule, he was indirectly saying that he would do anything to win. Even if it demands knocking on every door and incducing the occupants to vote for him. Tinubu is desperate because time and health and even goodwill are not on his side. He also knows one thing - even though Nigerians do not want him, many are too poor to turn down his money. How far Tinubu's immense wealth takes him to the presidency is what we shall find out in a matter of time. |
Mafia power |
Why run your advertisement with PO's name? Is he the only contestant for presidency? |
Do you understand what you're saying? You know how much an armored vehicle costs? They should start using APCs to guard your politicians who cannot provide security for the citizens? It's this type of thinking keeping this country and many African countries backwards. |
He hopes to buy northern votes with money to |
Hmmm |
They know ...the girls know who people align with in Nigeria and fortune smiles on them. They also know those that would just make a phone call and they crash out. Peter Obi makes good things happen to boys, girls, men and women. Even children... |
The man of the people... Seriously I'd like to know who is more loved between Peter Obi and Aminu Kano. As far as I know Nigerian history, these are the two men who have commanded organic followers ready to go with them all the way. The latter was rigged out by the British to install the Ahmadu Bello led NPC. Let's see how far Peter Obi goes. What's certain is that these are men of destiny. Hopefully, Peter Obi would fulfill his. |
Xbobtage:They've thrived on divide and rule like the Fulani. It's good Nigerians are waking up. |
keymatt:Isn't it paradoxical that you know that Obi is the best and yet you are Batified. Any reason for this? |
Why are they all looking so sad, unlike Obidients? |
Olusegun Obasanjo, Abdusalami Abubakar, Ibrahim Babangida and possibly Yakubu Gowon are are backing Peter Obi. What could be the reason if not that these men are aware that Mr Obi is head and shoulders above all the other contestants in terms of competence and integrity? What's interesting is that all these men are ex soldiers who fought to unite the country. Is their backing for Obi strictly because of Obi's competence or they're aware that without an Igbo presidency to right the wrongs of decades of neglect against Igbo that the country stands no chance of survival? Do they back him because they're aware that Buhari, Tinubu and their ilks in APC have already wrecked the country economically and that the path to recovery starts from having a leader who would approach governance in a business-like manner while ensuring that the citizens are not empoverished? Traits which Obi alone possesses among all the other contestants. Whatever the reason for their endorsement of Obi, it's obvious that these past leaders want the best for the country. |
Beautiful... Yorubaland for Obi I love the fact that there are men of good conscience left in Yorubaland. Igboland for Obi Edoland for Obi Gbagiland for Obi Bassaland for Obi Biromland for Obi In summary, SW is now Obidient like NC, SE and SS |
Wonderful... everyone knows that associating with Obi causes fortune to smile on men, women, boys, girls and babies. They also know that just a phone call from some means an automatic loss. |
Afamed:Berra than stealing it like the others... don't ya think? |
Asgard73:That was how we hallucinated in 2014 and '15 over Buhari. |
But he still uses it for himself instead of leading by example by rejecting police escort for himself. |
He should start by rejecting it for himself. |
In 2015, I saw a man from Southern Kaduna campaigning for Buhari and I shook my head at the obtuseness of many an African. I further had an argument with a lady from Benue who was actively campaigning for Buhari. Why I was aghast was how ignorant most Nigerians are simply because they are lacking in strategic insight. I told the Benue lady that Benue, as a pathway to the south would pay in blood if a Buhari presidency happened but she scoffed. The rest is history they say but wait... History moves in cycles when fools abound. So what's it about Atiku presidency? If Atiku is elected, the next wave of Fulani herdmen militia killings that this country would witness will be on a Biblical scale. If you read the Bible, you'll understand what I mean from when the Israelite were mandated to occupy Canaan. An Atiku presidency is all that the Fulani henchmen that have cut wide swats in tears and blood all across this country needs to authenticate that the power of life and death has been bestowed on them. The way some of us warned them in the Middle Belt in 2015 is the way we are warning you all in the South in 2022. You're free to gloat. |
