Owopariola001:And how are you sure he wasn't begging for alms? Look at that picture Tinubu took with Abiola and Abacha. Tinubu is older than both men. At least he was older than both of them in the picture. |
epondudu:I happy say the insha na 4 allah |
I already explained 10 things that will happen if Tinubu wins here: https://www.nairaland.com/7279258/10-things-happen-tinubu-wins#115659250. Now here are what to expect if Atiku becomes president next year. The only thing that the contestants have in common is that the top contenders are billionaires. That's where their similarity ends. If Atiku wins, expect these. 1) There won't be any change in policy towards the Fulani killings and kidnappings not out of lack of will but because as a Fulani, he has some sympathy for his people. However, things won't be as bad as no arrests, trials and convictions. Nevertheless, those would be window dressings to give the cynical the impression that there is improvement in combative efforts in fighting the Fulani menace. 2) As a run-of-the-mill Nigerian politician, Atiku is not one to rock the boat, so it would be business as usual in terms of corruption and stealing the country dry. However, things would be slightly better than we have it at the moment since he wouldn't blatantly shield people his party men from prosecution as is the case with this present APC government. Nevertheless, the Judiciary still wouldn't be independent and Atiku's friends and inner caucus will be above the law. 3) The same Nigerian ruling class holding sway would continue to loot the country dry under Atiku. We will witness more conversion of public resources to private use. The difference will be that the looting will spread across tribes since Atiku will run a more inclusive government. 4) The Southeast and South-south will play prominent roles in Atiku's government as he strives to get the best hands to grow the economy, but all efforts will be hampered by systemic corruption. 5) The killings in the north will spike to epic proportions with the Fulani entitlement of ownership of Nigeria. More Fulani will flood the country from Mali, Niger, Chad and elsewhere, practically swamping Northern communities. Benue and Plateau will be overwhelmed, especially due to the lack of will on the part of their governments to stand against the menace. Benue especially being the direct route blocking the Jihadist objective to the south. 6) The SW will feel aggrieved under a PDP Atiku presidency, who would naturally make the region the fall guy the way Buhari made SE and SS, just to balance the warped constitution that supports divide and rule. Southern ports will be manned by Fulani as part of the Fulanization agenda. As Buhari embraced SW against SE/SS. Atiku would embrace SE/SS against SW. 7) The secessionist agitation in the Southeast and South-south will continue impacting the economy of the SE and SS even with Atiku's efforts at inclusion of the two regions. Separatist agitation will also increase in the South-west as the Tinubu group feels short-changed. More ethnic militias will be formed to counter the Fulani whose onslaught will increase in the South. 8. The economy generally won't make a headway under Atiku, even though he'll work with some good hands. The country's fundamental problem which is corruption and a faulty constitution will be ignored to continue giving the north undue advantage. 9. Atiku's government will lay a lot of emphasis on FDIs but the poor security situation will cancel out any gains that the government hopes to make. 10) Inflation will remain double digits. There will be salary increase to cushion its effect on workers, while the subsidy on petroleum products will remain a funnel of looting funds. Atiku is a typical Fulani elite that has their eye on governance, not because they have anything special to offer, but out of a born to conquer mentality. He lacks the resoluteness needed to change the status quo, so the country will continue drifting under his watch. With kidnappings and killings continuing in epic proportions and the economy a famine of biblical proportions, your guess of the rest is as good as mine. Obudupikin:Don't mind Tinubu urchins and lies. Where is Tinubu's certificate that shows he made a first class? How do we know he's not passing on another person's certificate since we're not even sure of his name? |
I was one of those who predicted that Buhari presidency would be marked by retrogression and bloodshed. Now that was easy. Although like most Africans, Nigerians find strategic thinking laborious, if you have a little strategic insight, you would know what the leadership of any of those contesting portends for the country. For Mr Bola Tinubu, here are 10 things that are sure to happen if he becomes president. 1. A Tinubu's presidency would move against most of Buhari's policies, especially the ethnic-centered decisions that gave the Fulani undue advantage in the economy. Tinubu would remove all the Fulani heading southern ports and replace them with his men. This means that agencies like NPA which Buhari is using as his eye on southern ports of Apapa, Tin Can and Onne would be manned by Yoruba. 2. Boko Haram would become more daring and restart their conquest of territories. There will be a stronger collaboration between ISWAP and Fulani militia. Since these groups are against "fake Islam" and having such ruling them, their renewed onslaught against the country would intensify. 3. Boko Haram would become stronger, emboldened by having a strong support in government. They will overtake ISWAP as the dominant terror group in the country since they would exploit their political influence to acquire more weapons. We saw them take over hardware seized from Nigerian Army during this regime. In Tinubu's regime, BH would have access to high grade military equipment using their moles in the government to get them. They will also acquire more armor piercing missiles. 4. Southern ports in Lagos and the boundary with Benin Republic would be relaxed to help SW economy. The northern borders with Niger, Cameroon and Chad would be tightened to fight insecurity. The same would happen to the southern border with The Cameroons. 5. Biafra agitation would increase because Tinubu would continue with Buhari's policy of exclusion of the Southeast and the South-south, who didn't vote them. 6. Tinubu will work to curry the favor of Fulani and won't demonstrate the will needed to fight the ongoing genocide. So the killings and ethnic cleansing of the Middlebelt and indigenous northern communities will continue. The onslaught will be more as the Fulani militia feels the reprisals of a more balanced military. 7. Tinubu will try to spread the control of security agencies between his allies and Yoruba personnel. His people will defend him by saying he did better than Buhari who appointed ONLY Fulani to head security agencies in the country. Tinubu would appoint Yoruba and Fulani to head security agencies. 8. The economy will continue on its downward slide since Tinubu has no roadmap. The corruption and looting of resources would continue. The only difference this time is that the looters would be mainly Yoruba unlike now Fulani are in charge. 9. Inflation will be at an all-time-high because of the impact of borrowings. Tinubu would spend half his presidency blaming Buhari for borrowing trillions. He would also claim that servicing the debt burden is the reason the Nigerian economy has collapsed, not corruption. 10. Yoruba nation agitation will be renewed. The agitator will push the narrative that a Yoruba presidency is the best opportunity to exit the country, but Tinubu would hear non of it. His camp among the Yoruba would say that Yoruba needs the wealth of SE and SS to develop. The Yoruba nation proponents will also use his presidency to shop for arms spurred by more killings by the Fulani militia in the SW. Since the Tinubu group won't buy Yoruba nation, this will degenerate to arms struggle using the now porous SW border to arm the secessionists. * Addendum. 10B Tinubu's vice, Shettima would wield a lot of influence because Tinubu would get weaker with age. In a couple of years, he would be at loggerheads with Shettima whose influence would start overshadowing Tinubu. The north would move to have Tinubu impeached, that has been the vision of the north in any case. To grab power through the back door by foisting a weak old southerner on the country in 2023, if Atiku didn't win. Bola Tinubu as a person does not believe in the unity of the country. That doesn't mean that he doesn't believe in benefiting from that unity. He is eyeing the presidency for such benefits. Tinubu also isn't very religious, but he is aware of the need to exploit religious sentiments for his personal benefit. In summary, Tinubu presidency is strategically in the interest of 1) The North and 2) Boko Haram. |
In North East, Boko Haram and ISWAP hold sway terminating civilians and Nigerian soldiers at will, thanks to the poor handling of their agitation. In the North West, Fulani bandits are actively kidnapping, maiming, collecting ransom and killing for sport in a continuous cleansing of local communities. In the North Central, Boko Haram seems to have linked up with Fulani militias that have killed local communities for decades. In a clear strategic move, they've surrounded the nation's capital, waiting for an opportunity to give Nigerians living there the Saigon treatment. In the South West, ISWAP now is randomly kidnapping and killing people in churches may already be well entrenched. If you believe the killers are coming and going as the government wants you to believe, you can believe anything. The middle belt of the country has been a killing field for Fulani militia who have ethnically displaced many indigenous people there. In the South East, the hitherto unarmed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra has been forced to take up arms after extra judicial killings by the security agencies. No one knows even the number of armed groups in the region. Even though there are separatist agitators occasionally clashing with Nigerian and Cameroonian security forces in isolated encounters in the South South region, it seems to be the safest region of the country, at least for now. |
They're respecting him for being one of the few billionaire politicians who came to work and not steal. They joined politics to enrich themselves while Obi joined to serve. Moreover, it's rare to see a humble billionaire. Obi has it all going for him so you can't help respecting him even as a politician. Finally, they know he made his mark as a governor. The records are there and these people know and respect Obi's accomplishments. |
This is good news. Both APC and PDP candidates will be in court when campaign starts. Peter Obi coasting to victory. |
It would seem so despite our being oblivious of that fact. I think that the traditional Igbo independence is responsible for the aloofness towards politicians. Now don't you think that having people like Orji Uzor Kalu and Rochas as political leaders in Igbo land is nearly as bad as the Tinubu that the Yorubas have? I mean, these are men who looted states dry and are still walking free. It gets worse, have you noticed that it is only Igbo politicians that sell out their own people? Like what they did to Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB by being the first to outlaw them? We all witnessed how Buhari fought for the deadly Boko Haram and got rewarded with presidency. We saw how the Niger Delta militants were backed by their political class and were rewarded with big checks. Even the Yoruba made a lot of noise for Abiola and it paid off but Igbo politicians? They sell their own people for personal interest. When I saw a post about states owing salaries, I knew Igbo states must be among and was I surprised? Some of the problems we have in Igbo are from the crop of crooked politicians that are foisted on the people through the Nigeria rigging system. I also think that having adults who are technically thieves ruling in communities is a testament that parents no longer raise their children well. The adult thieves in power reflect failed parenting and a failing state. Igbo politicians are doing really badly. Forget ...Peter Obi is an exception to the rule. And taking a close look at him, I still infer that good leadership is a function of a functional home. Peter Obi's stellar performance is evident that he was well brought up by good parents who inculcated good values in him unlike the rest. It's one thing to be intelligent and competent. Quite another to be honest enough as a steward. I think it'll get worse with the quality of children being raised now. When you're not properly raised, you also can't raise your own children properly. That's why we have parents support cheating in exams. How on earth would you expect that child to grow, become a politician and not cheat the society by stealing public resources? You're only raising future Kalus, Tinubus and Rochas. |
Coolsperm:You don't compare apples with rotten tomatoes. |
If Nigeria misses Peter Obi, it is finished. It is the masses against those determined to bring the country to its grave. Nigeria's ruling class is a cult of organized criminals. Similar to what we see across most of Africa, they're perpetuating a cycle of modern slavery of African masses. No one cares. The world doesn't because no one actually wants the blacks to be reckoned for something good. I'm anxious about Obi because he is fighting a Mafia class of Leeches that won't let go without a fight. Unless all Nigerians realize what's at stake, the slavery will continue. It even serves the purpose of Western world since it means that Nigeria, like the rest of Africa would continue to be a warehouse of raw materials. |
Parachoko:Everyone in the forum has known you as a parrot who sings without thinking, why not keep quiet for once? |
U think the Bandits and Nigerian government are hands in gloves together |
How come they never attack northern communities, but only MB and south? Nigerian Army o, not Cameroonian |
Una never see something. If Nigerians get sense, no Fulani would get close to presidency for 400 years, but we all know that 93% of Nigerians get as their sense be. One ethnic group is kidnapping you all, killing you all, collecting ransom, continuously ethnic cleansing Middlebelt and local Hausa communities and still are in charge of your security apparatuses. Yet you have people especially Muslims from the West defending the abnormalities. Doesn't that tell you that there is a grand jihad plan that you people are oblivious to? One ethnic group has political power, trying to kill you for their economic activities. Taking over all the choice businesses and appointments in a diverse country, yet it doesn't matter. At this rate, in 100 years, most of your local communities would be in IDPs in Benin Republic and Cameroon. Anyway, by then but you'd be dead so what happens to your children is of no consequence. |
okefranci:Very correct |
