The problem is finishing and defense.

Oshoala, Ajibade, Onumonu or Kanu would have finished at least 1 of the chances Gift Monday was missing.

In defense, the person playing RB didn't close down the winger and the other person playing RW ( I think it was Ordega) didn't track back to help the RB the way Ajibade was always tracking back and defending that wing.

Against Morocco it was the LW that didn't help the LB and the LB ( Ebi ) was too slow to defend against that player.

Then the GoalKeeper made errors against Morocco and Zambia so I think another young Keeper needs to be tested.

In summary,
SF need fast FullBacks on both wings who close down wingers without tackling them in order to prevent red cards.

SF needs another young keeper to keep Nnadozie on her toes.

SF needs to practice outside shots.

SF needs only Kanu, Oshoala, Onumonu to play as CF. Gift Monday finishing is poor hopefully she improves her finishing as she grows older.

Which other Young Goalkeeper do you think we have currently, only Onyinyechi Okeke comes close to contending with Nnadozie and she's taller than Nnadozie but she's still behind Nnadozie in the Pecking order,

Only Veteran Tochukwu Oluehi can challenge Nnadozie very well but she Fumbles when not expected..

This present U20 can't boost of any goalkeeper as good as Nnadozie..

Maybe we should put hope on this Present U17 goalies if not this U20 goalkeepers are far below Nnadozie, Okeke and Rita Akarekor level..

She just need to improve on her Physical side of the game and her understanding with Okobi especially and her forward Line. She's good enough, She gave her best n we don't blame her for the miss. Still our number 9

BREAKING: Super Falcons Boycott Training Over Unpaid Appearance Allowance

Reports emanating from Morocco in the early hours of Wednesday states that the Super Falcons players have refused a scheduled training session this morning as players were demanding the immediate payment of their appearance fees.

As revealed by a close source, the NFF is understood to have promised to pay allowances at the ongoing WAFCON tournament, but the Falcons are yet to receive the promises.

It is not the first time the Super Falcons and the NFF have clashed over unpaid bonuses and allowances.

Eighteen years ago, the team remained in their hotel in South Africa for three days after the Nigeria FA, as the NFF was then called, failed to pay their bonuses for winning the 2004 African Women’s Championship.

Nigerian teams have frequently been affected by pay disputes with coaches regularly going unpaid and players boycotting training during qualifiers or at tournaments over unpaid bonuses.

The Falcons are scheduled to take on Zambia on Friday at the Stade Mohamed V, Casablanca on Friday in the bronze medal match.

The major reason they don't include the first two is because it was contested on Home and Away basis then, until in 1998 when a particular Country hosted it....

One change i would love to see upfront but experience wise, Randy Waldrum will definitely start Franny Ordega

Excellent analysis. I don't think a high line will work against us. Infact it might set them up for rapid crumbling.
As for Ify, I think she should be more involved in build up rather than running behind. Against Cameroon, her lack of pace was so glaring but the moment she joined the build up, she delivered a pinpoint cross that Ajibade scored from.
And I'm afraid Alozie will have to sit this one out..she looks shaky against Cameroon.. But, Ashleigh may not be able to keep up with their winger due to her lack of pace ... A headache for Walldrum

Positioning and good reading of the game will definitely help Ashleigh Plumptre out...

This made me remember veteran defender Faith Ikidi Michael whose game reading and positioning abilities made the job easier for her back then when she was playing as a Full Back....!

Isolation of Onumonu in the heat of attack.


If he plans for this, then they may win in facing her. Funny thing is there are others that they can't stop, especially that wack Morocco defence. Her pace will work to their advantage. Just that when Ify is not attacking, she is setting up attack.


His wingers..... If he wants to use his normal play, the one-two and short passes behind Ucheibe, I'd love to see what that looks like. It's their own true advantage against us in my opinion.

Their wingers have some great crosses in their legs.


Our advantage is ensuring that Chebbak does not have a breather. Either with shots at our goal or control, just like Mothlalo and Refiloe did in our first match. Take out Cheebak and the midfield is fulllly ours.


Then their overconfident Dribbler, Mouady Abi what's her name... Someone need be detailed to that girl. I know Ebi may have experience, but one on one, i can't say who will get upper hand. Not putting high hopes on any of the two.


Uchenna will easily have a field day.

The Superfalcons will definitely play a double Pivotal Midfield of Halimatu Ayinde and Christy Ucheibe... Mouady should be ready to battle with this two because she will definitely pass through the Midfield and Flank which Ucheibe is there to run her down tirelessly..

Again Ngozi Okobi defensive side of her game have improved a lot so we have got this...

If we can cut out their passing Link from the Midfield then we're good to good... Tony Payne is also quick enough to withstand that pressure...

Onome Ebi is going to have it with Rosane Ayani as Ohale will be the Cleaner behind her as she's quicker...

Some clearances were not done well too. That Okobi game eh. The build up to goal has covered it, else, its a poor game for her prior to that goal dash.

Okobi is sometimes like that, one pass or movement from her fiammmm, will cover up all her lapses...

There's no way new players won't claim a spot going to the World Cup.. After the AWCON doesn't who didn't participate will be fighting to become regular in the team, those with few minutes at the AWCON will try and double up just for them to keep up with a spot in the team.. Going to the World Cup is a different Ball game.

Randy will definitely stick to most of the players he used at the AWCON but those who didn't participate still have 100% chance to come in

Ball retention, Distribution, Good tackling, as a Box-to-Box Midfielder and great Composure, She's such an Energetic Player who cover a lot of ground for her team mates...

It's good Randy finally does what's good..
I believe she will gel well with Ayinde very soon.

Again Coach Randy shouldn't be playing Rita Chikwelu even she's one of those Midfielder that can keep the ball very well.. The pace of the modern game is no longer there, She can come in maybe at 85minutes to add numbers to her Cap.. Let her experience speak from the Bench.

Dropping Osinachi Ohale is definitely going to be a wrong decision from the Coach..

She's the quickest Center Back there and her Long balls from the back is pretty good now, again she's a very physical defender who will be able to handle any physical threat that will be brought by the Cameroonian.. Abam look like their no.1 at top9 she will definitely have it tough against Ohale or Ebi...

This game is coming with pace and power...

Christy Ucheibe and Halimatu Ayinde must start... Chikwelu would have been no.1 for this game because of how strong she is but the problem is the pace is no longer there for her to compete with them...

It's a double header

The USA to Play Nigeria on September 3rd at a venue to be announced today .

Nigeria will also play the USA at Audi Field in Washington DC on September 6th

One major issue facing Waldrum on Thursday is what to do with Ashleigh Plumptre.

1. Drop either of Onome Ebi or Osinachi Ohale for her

2. Play 3 center back of Ohale, Ebi and Plumptre

3. Play Plumptre as left back and drop impressive Toni Payne or push her forward

4. Pushing Payne forward means Ordega is dropped (which I doubt) or Ajibade goes to the midfield

5. Ajibade to the midfield means one of Okobi, Rita (shouldn't be starting again),

This is a major decision which will influence a lot of changes and will be key against a fast, and physical Cameroon come Thursday.

To me Nicole Payne is a better fullback than Glory, I believe when she start playing pro she would get better and better..!

Defensively she hasn't done bad at all, Glory Ogbonna have been prone to errors. If she was good enough Coach Randy Waldrum wouldn't have played Ashleigh or T Payne at left Back.. Even Nicole Payne who started over her at Left back against Burundi was a better option.

No body big pass Dribble, as good as Wendie Renard, Becky Sauerbrunn, Millie Bright, them da dribble them na cor Alozie who’s playing makeshift.. Ajibade also dribble past Mapi Leon of Barca and Spain this past season during Atletico Madrid Femenino game against Barcelona Femenino. Dribbling is normal but as for Alozie she has done well for herself, is not necessary that you must play same role for Club and Country..

Look at Crystal Dunn of USA for Example, she Plays Left Back for the US, but play Midfield and as a striker for her Clubside North Carolina FC..


Look at Rachel Daly of England, she's mainly a Left or Right Back for England but at Houston Dash she's their no.1 striker..
