I also don’t understand the logic of having Ihezuo on the wings though when there is a Babajide Rinsola.

I think Madugu want to bring in some physicality upfront considering the team they’re playing against have two deadly forwards..

If you’re going to play Rinsola on the wing you need a proper no.9 who’s a deadly finisher that can turn crosses into goals because with Rinsola you will get those dangerous balls into the Box..

Malawi have just 4 very Solid player which I know of…

Chawinga Sisters 🇺🇸/🇫🇷
One midfielder in 🇫🇷
And Halimatu Ayinde teammate at Bk Hackens 🇸🇪

Now 6 – 0

The Super Falcons should beat this Egyptian side blue-black.

Madugu go play reserve players for that last game all in the name of resting players. One reason they drew against Algeria the last WAFCON..

Zambia from the spot.

Leads 1-0 vs Egypt in Group C (Nigeria's group)

This Zambia not convincing at all… SuperFalcons should comfortably beat them at least 3-0 to 5-0 again..

Dem no qualify

Equatorial Guinea fell off when their male/haemophrodite players, Genoveva Anonma, Salimata Simpore and the few Nigerians mercenaries they recruited stopped playing.

Clearly, they didn't have structure and a clear developmental plan for female football.

Salimata no.8 and Bilguisa Simpore no.5

They were more like the Chawinga Sisters of now, one was a Defender while the other was a Striker..

Goalkeeper Ruth Sunday, Gloria Chinasa Okoro, Blessing Diala, and Amarachi Ezeabasili, were the popular Nigerian to represent Equatorial Guinea and helped them win the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in 2008 and 2012.

I guess it’s a Battle between the Best No.9 in Africa and the Best Center Back in Africa today…

Correct me if I’m wrong.. 😑

Temwa Chawinga 🇲🇼 🆚 Tosin Demehin 🇳🇬

I think the players themselves respect Franny alot and probably love to have her around…

Have heard some of the Younger Players call her Senior Franny on various video clips (Nicole Payne, Ucheibe, Echegini, Abiodun) I think Ajibade as well.

Baami Relax Oooo, na Kenya Oooo😂😂😂

Waldrum didn't just coach the Super Falcons; he rebuilt them. He identified and integrated players like Esther Okoronkwo, Michelle Alozie, Ashleigh Plumptre, Tosin Demehin, Deborah Abiodun and several others who now form the backbone of this team.

Beyond player recruitment, he gave the team a clear identity. The Super Falcons became more tactically organised, defensively solid, difficult to break down, and capable of competing toe-to-toe with the world's best. We saw that at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, where Nigeria went unbeaten in the group stage, held Olympic champions Canada, defeated co-hosts Australia, and pushed European champions England to penalties.

The only thing missing from that rebuilding process was a major trophy. Yes, he fell short at WAFCON, and that criticism is fair. But rebuilding a team takes time, and he left behind a strong foundation for whoever came next.

Instead of building on that foundation and improving the squad depth, we're gradually seeing it shrink. Apart from Comfort, who has Madugu introduced that has genuinely strengthened this team? Some of the recent additions have looked surplus to requirements, while players Waldrum had already moved on from are finding their way back.

Madugu inherited a strong foundation. His job now is to build on it, expand the talent pool, and leave the Super Falcons stronger than he met them, not gradually undo the progress that had already been made.

Lastly, I want to see another World Cup knockout match against England with Madugu on the touchline. 😌

EVERYTHING IS NOT HATE!!

🇳🇬 Island Stars FA’s Chidubem Arinze Earns Nigeria U20 Call-Up Ahead of FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup

Island Stars FA’s talented midfielder Chidubem Arinze has been called up to the Nigeria U20 Women’s National Team (Falconets) as preparations intensify for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.

The promising 18-year-old has been rewarded for her impressive performances and will now join Coach Christopher Danjuma’s squad for the team’s pre-tournament training camp ahead of the competition, which kicks off on Saturday, September 5.

Nigeria have been drawn in Group F, where they will face Spain, China, and New Caledonia in the group stage.

This call-up marks another proud milestone for Island Stars FA, highlighting the academy’s commitment to developing top talents capable of representing Nigeria on the international stage.

Congratulations, Chidubem Arinze! Wishing you and the Falconets every success in Poland.

When did Christopher Danjuma become Falconet Coach again??🥹🫣

Bruv, it's freaking Kenya. 128th ranked team in FIFA Women's world rankings. Morocco is at #64.

I hope you understand what am talking about first?

Pattern of play and their identity in general not because of beating Kenya 🇰🇪

And when i say Super Falcons don’t have an identity, this is what i mean.

We don’t hate our country and we obviously can’t be our own opp but Madugu fans are too blind to see the obvious gap in tactical and technical depth

Anyways let’s see how it goes.

Samueltemi337:
Against Kenya 😒

You have a point but this also tells you a lot about a teams ability to put away small teams. Not necessarily relevant to whether they can beat the super falcons but still says a lot about the team’s quality and progress..

Schemerkhiz:
In 2022 watching Morocco labour to a 1-0 win against Burkina Faso in their first WAFCON match in 2 decades. Last night you can see how far this team really has come.

They have a playing identity, comfortable attacking in a multitude of ways and are ruthless in a way they never were in 2022. Yes, Kenya are putting up very little in the way of resistance but Morocco are looking very very good…

Does the SuperFalcons have a playing pattern currently? Because under the former Coach we say how he used mainly 4-2-3-1 ( The double pivot of Ayinde and Ucheibe or Ucheibe and Abiodun) and a no.10 in midfield.

Even though he had a more defensive approach, it was a balanced tactical system which we all understood because it can easily switch between attack and defense.

We had defensive security but he sacrificed ant least 30% of the team attacking creativity maybe because of the lack of Wingers with that electrifying pace.

If we had the pace on the flanks we used to have back in the days of Stella Mbachu, Chichi Igbo, Vera Okolo, and the early days of Oshoala, Ordega who were born runners. The team would have blossomed more..

Super Falcons player Esther Okoronkwo has been subjected to racial abuse on her Instagram page following her allegation that members of the staff at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca stole from the wallets of the members of the team ❌

Alot of eyes will be on Esther Okoronkwo in this tournament and I hope other players like Ajibade, Ihezuo, Echegini and other Strikers step up in the goal scoring aspect because she will be highly marked by opponents…

They now see her as the SuperFalcons main threat, this might give room for Ajibade to blossom more.

Could be the next Rita Chikwelu..

I just hope this Imuran Knock is something she will shake off before the first game because Glory Ogbonna can’t be relied on at Left Back…

I will rather have Shukurat OLADIPO there..

Ogbonna is the weakest among all the defenders picked.. Nicole Payne 😭😭
