Oluwatosin Blessing Demehin performance at the U20 FIFA Women's World Cup in August will definitely decide how ready she's to lay claim to a Spot in the Superfalcon CB... The battle for that one spot is between Demehin, Akudo Ogbonna, Onyinyechi Zogg As long as Onome Ebi, Osinachi Ohale and Ashleigh Plumptre are the top3 CBs..
|
lovewins:Yeah she would definitely be on the plane to Australia/New Zealand but Starting game's is where i doubt but featuring for minutes and more Cap is certain...! In a game that requires 3CBs the Coach would go for Onome in btw Ohale and Plumptre The Coaches should be looking out for Osinachi Ohale and Ashleigh Plumptre at CB... With Onyinyechi Zogg, Akudo Ogbonna, Oluwatosin Blessing Demehin battling for the other CB spot... |
isan:I didn't ask Onome Ebi to retire in my Statement, I only said Onome Ebi never ready to retire... |
isan:Ashleigh Plumptre was in brought in as a Successor to Onome Ebi position but Onome never ready to retire until after 2023 World Cup... That 6th World Cup record is a Must ooooo |
With the Current Superfalcons Squad going with the year they join the team this is the top 10 senior players Players who have played Under Randy Waldrum •Onome Ebi 2002/2003 •Faith Ikidi Michael 2003 •Rita Chikwelu 2006 •Tochukwu Oluehi 2006 •Osinachi Ohale 2010 •Desire Oparanozie 2010 •Fransisca Ordega 2010 •Ngozi Okobi 2010 •Asisat Oshoala 2013 •Halimatu Ayinde.... 2014 |
Danielnino00:Point of Correction, Ashleigh Plumptre is not the Vice Captain of the Superfalcons.... Fransisca Ordega is the Vice Captain, right from Asisat Oshoala tenure till date... |
WAFCON: Mercy Akide-Udoh admits Super Falcons have lost unbeatable status Following a 4th place finish at the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations -WAFCON in Morroco , Legendary Super Falcons striker Mercy Akide-Udoh has admitted the Nigerian ladies no longer look unbeatable in the eyes of other African countries. Akide , a winner of three African Women’s cup of Nations titles believes this is down to the growth of women’s football in Africa which has reached a level that ” Everyone now believes they can beat Nigeria .” At the 2022 WAFCON, Nine time Champions Nigeria were defeated On penalties by hosts Morroco in the Semi Final before falling to a 1-0 third place match loss to Zambia . ” The Competition is growing and other countries are catching up. Everybody now believes they can beat Nigeria , ” Akide stated via BBC Sport Africa. Just seeing Morroco with what they have done and the investment they’ve made, i think women’s football and a lot of countries will learn from it , ” Akide continued. ” When I see those countries that are investing , if you give it four or five years, it is going to be amazing , i am so grateful that i am still alive to see what CAF is doing for women’s football . ” ” The quality from my time to now is getting better. South Africa have come so far and I give kudos to my friend Desiree (Ellis) for what she has done for that team . Looking at the Morroco team the coach ( Reynald Pedros ) has done an amazing job. ” Mercy Akide concluded. 46 year old Akide was a part of the Super Falcons team that won the African Women’s Championship titles in 1998, 2000 and 2022 . Married to veteran Journalist Collins Udoh, Mercy Akide-Udoh also represented Nigeria at three FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments. Despite a difficult tournament in Morroco , Nigeria’s Super Falcons did enough to secure a 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup ticket courtesy of a 1-0 Quater final win over Cameroon. Nigerian’s have been critical of the performance of the Super Falcons under Randy Waldrum with a section calling for his replacement with one of the former Super Falcon players with Akide’s teammate Florence Omagbemi top of the list of suggestions . |
Maybe you will also include Ifeoma Onumonu as one of the Players to get rid of because she's 28yrs... |
Desire Oparanozie (28yrs) Ngozi Okobi (28yrs) This two Ladies still have at least 5 years of top flight football to play except they decides to retire early... You're calling this two old, what will you call the likes of; Onome Ebi 39yrs Rita Chikwelu 34yrs Tochukwu Oluehi 35yrs Yewande Balogun 32yrs |
AkinDS:As for the individual beef between Players Ngozi Okobi have no hand in it? I wonder why you especially is calling her out.... It's obvious there's a beef between Oparanozie and Oshoala. But this doesn't mean that Oparanozie, Okobi are the team problem.... If you stand with Ebi and Rita retiring fine... |
AkinDS:Get rid of this and that, I don't even understand you at all.. Which proof do you have that Okobi and Oparanozie are the problems in the Superfalcon team ![]() We know Onome Ebi and Rita Chikwelu are old already and they need to retire as soon as possible, if possible now |
Our Attack, Rasheedat doesn't have any business in that Midfield again except if we find ourselves in a situation that would need her there..... Ajibade can be our Megan Rapineo who's known for her playmaking, Assist and Scoring. Desire Oparanozie Asisat Oshoala Ifeoma Onumonu Rasheedat Ajibade Esther Okoronkwo Uchenna Kanu Fransisca Ordega The rest below should be the next option if any of the above name ain't available Monday Gift Vivian Ikechukwu Chinwendu Ihezuo Roosa Ariyo Maclean's Chinonyerem Anam Imo The current U20 strikers should be given some look... Rinsola Babajide still look like someone who isn't certain about her international Career yet... As she's currently with the England U23 set up. Eyes on Vicky Lopez |
We need to play more of Shot Passes, In quick pace and high pressing as we have the energy to do so .... In the Midfield we already have Younger and hungry Players like Christy Ucheibe, Peace Efih and co... Rita Chikwelu have no business in that Midfield again she should retire.. But if Randy want to Continue keeping her which i know too well that he would do, she should remain on the Bench or better still come in at exactly 90+ to add to her Caps only when necessary not even in tough games.. Blend the Ayinde- Ucheibe -Okobi trio together and work on their positioning, ball exchange and retention not those overdosed long balls... Let Otu and Efih be their substitute, bring in Attacking Midfielder like Chinaza Uchendu who's already at her best though she's currently playing for one of the biggest Club in South Korea... Look into the Current U20 set up for more options.. |
Short Passes gives us better Scoring opportunities, instead of Long balls that would leave the Likes of Onumonu, Oshoala, Oparanozie chasing and getting tired, Play Simple and short Passes that will get our opponents out of position. It's always difficult to play against a team that knows how to keep the ball and make the right passes, We have the Players to execute it and probably do the high press. We need to work on it for the World Cup, As for me I don't believe in Randy Waldrum anymore. Long balls method has done no good to us but they keep playing that way. I'm very certain is the Coaches instructions to play long balls more.. we know how to build from the back, we just need refining... If Randy Waldrum Continues as Coach, it's for him and his Coaching crew to analyze our performance at the WAFCON and get rid of this Long ball approach... I had to take my time to re watch their matches at the just concluded WAFCON.. Few things I will point out first is for Randy Waldrum to settle the Defense position... Bring in Patricia George who's very quick, strong, skillful and a beautiful full back to the Left as she's uses both feets effectively Since Randy prefers Nicole Payne more at Left Back... Let the Competition for Left Back spot be between Patty and Nicole.. At Center Back Onome Ebi should be seated out on the Bench... She's already 39yrs, she can offer the needed experience from the Bench since we already have Ashleigh Plumptre who's a better ball playing center Back and can carry the ball very well from the back.. Ohale 30yrs will definitely get better with Ashleigh at the Back playing together.. Get two Younger CBs to understudy Ohale and Ashleigh ( Zogg, A Ogbonna, Demehin) Randy hasn't find a Natural Right Back yet, Why not make that spot a tough competition between Alozie and Tony Payne.. let their two fight that spot since he doesn't want to move either of them to the Attack and Midfield.. Leave out Glory Ogbonna from the team as she hasn't done anything yet to keep inviting her..
|
Deltamani:Alexander Popp known for her Pace,Power, Clinical finishing and dominance in the Air... Dangerous Left foot too.. Another thing you will need to know is her versatility, Playing as a Midfielder for Wolfsburg VFL and as a forward for Germany... |
Coach Peter Dedevbo.,

Happy 16th Birthday to Vicky Lopez as she join Barcelona Femenino on a Five (5) years deal.... Vicky to Play mainly for Barcelona Femenino team B in the Spanish Second division and will also have the opportunity to feature for the main team..... Hope to see her with Asisat Oshoala...
|
isan:At least she didn't just sit out like that in the US. She's working.. The Randy that is active what did you produce? Failure.. If NFF can't get us a quality Coach with Good cv like that of Morocco, they should better give it back to Florence and co, this people under the African and Nigerian System very well. Again they have played at the highest level, played Pro abroad.... If you have held Omagbemi speak about football once you wouldn't doubt her capabilities... This Ladies are good. |
lovewins:Anyway I like the fact that South Africans and Zambia were mentioning Tony Payne name why she didn't make the team... QUALITY player any day any time... |
Randy Waldrum Failed.... He has no Business Continuing as falcon Coach... Let's give the Ex-internationals same room that was given to Randy they will do very well.... Imagine having the likes of Payne, Plumptre, Alozie, Onumonu coming in still yet nothing to show for.. With this Caliber of players Omagbemi and her crew can't fail.. You guys can go and watch the 2016 AWCON Semi Final against South Africa.. The First half and Second half of that game can easily proved to anybody that Florence was a better game reader than Randy.. Her ways of managing game is top notch. No wonder she didn't agree to Work as Assistant under Randy... She knows her worth.. |
do4luv14:Randy Waldrum was appointed October 5th 2020 Florence Omagbemi was appointed in February 18th February 2016 and that same year won the AWCON, she didn't play a single international friendly game, just against NWPL Clubside... While Randy played series of tournaments, ( Turkish Cup, Summer Series, Aisha Buhari Cup) Played friendly game against top Country. Had a training Camp in Austria Had a training camp in Nigeria Played against NWPL Clubside How many of this opportunity did Florence Omagbemi and her Coaching crew get?? |
FIFA U20 W/C: Falconets Set To Depart Colombia For Two Weeks Tour Ahead of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica, Nigeria's Falconets will in the next few days depart the country for a training tour of Colombia to be in shape for the tournament, BSNsports.com.ng reports. The Nigerian side qualified for the biennial competition in style beating their opponents including Cameroon to book their place. They have been in closed camping in Abuja under Christopher Danjuma as their coach and are prepared to intensify their training as the competition draws closer. Nigeria Football Federation head of communication Ademola Olajire while speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria said the training will be for a week and from the crossover to Costa Rica for the World Cup. "The national under-20 women football team who have been training in Abuja will depart for a one-week training tour in Barranquilla, Colombia,” he said. Falconets will open their campaign on August 12th against France before playing Canada and Korea Republic later in the tournament.

Schemerkhiz:I wonder if you ever saw this?? By the way was it not a University team Florence Omagbemi was coaching in the US before she won the AWCON with the Falcons in 2016? So because Randy is white now he's better than her?.. Anyway let me not face you.... |
JohnBullMySon:Yes...... Did you even read my post from the beginning ![]() If you have read it from the beginning you won't be typing this trash.. By the way Florence Omagbemi is a far better Coach than Randy Waldrum From late 2020 till date with all the Support from NFF, Randy nor fit win common Bronze but Omagbemi won Gold within months and without quality preparation... Oga the difference is clear. |
Florence Omagbemi and Mercy Akide Udoh have all worked with FIFA in various FIFA Women's World Cup tournaments as members of their technical study group alongside the Ivorian National Team Coach.. This Ladies have it in them, let's give them the room to succeed not wasting our tax payers money on this Colour People.. Randy Waldrum Failed Whoafully, If it was a Nigerian that messed up in Morocco I bet he or she won't even get to Nigeria before receiving the sack letter... |
If the NFF can't appoint a top Coach from Europe like the Moroccan Women National Team Coach with a better CV... They better stick with our own Coaches... Head Coach; Florence Omagbemi 1st Assistant; Mercy Akide Udoh 2nd Assistant; Peter Dedevbo If this 3 can work together in unity with NFF giving them the needed Support just as they gave to Randy Waldrum, I bet you there's no way the Falcons won't succeed at the big stage... DEDEVBO took the U20 to the World Cup final in 2014, he knows those Crops of players very well.. Florence OMAGBEMI have been there before on a shottime bases with the needed experience after Coaching the girls as Assistant to Edwin Okon at the 2012 U20 FIFA Women's World Cup in Japan where they finished 4th, before leading the team to Victory in Cameroon in 2016 AWCON.. Mercy Akide Udoh a University Coach like Randy Waldrum who's one of the greatest as far as women football is concern in Africa is also doing well in the US with good experience as an ex international, and playing pro in the US years back...

lovewins:Opagoal nor try for this her tweet oooo I personally went to check her page on several Occasions when Asisat Oshoala won the Award... By the way there was a Separate Award for CAF inter player of the Year, which Ghanaian Young star Evelyn Badu won.. That award was for players based in Africa as a whole it goes for both male and Female... This Award is been voted for by the CAF Technically Committee, National Team Coaches and Captains etc ... So is Oparanozie telling us that those that Voted Asisat Oshoala don't know what they're doing?? This War between them has to stop... The two of them are big name as far as Women Football is concerned in Africa, Oparanozie was here before Oshoala even though Oshoala became bigger on the Spotlight... |
isan:More than 10 teams there, that's if NFF give the likes of Florence Omagbemi, Mercy Akide Udoh the team to handle.... |
Nigeria/Spanish Young star Vicky Lopez bid farewell to Madrid CFF Report has it that she's heading to Barcelona Femenino
|
mostob:Andile Dlamini won the Golden Gloves, They didn't announce any winner for the Golden Boot, Maybe the winner isn't among the two team present there, so it's definitely going to be Rasheedat Ajibade. |
While the WAFCON finals is on going in Morocco, an integral member of the Super Falcons said if the Super Falcons are to do anything meaningful at the world Cup then Randy must be sacked, she also made it clear that Super Falcons in the next 2 years under Randy Waldrum's leadership will be the worse team in Africa. "Super Falcons in the next 2 years under Randy leadership will be the worse team in Africa, The NFF are so comfortable with Randy, that man is here to destroy this team, we don’t learn anything from training, what ever show we put up on the field is because we’re good individually and we understand the task " The Falcon also echoed the thoughts of many Nigerians that the American college coach has added nothing to the most successful team in women's football in Africa. "We have very good players (individually) but no coach to make us a better team" . The Falcon told me in an exclusive chat. Una say wahala be like wetin again ?
