Sometimes, we see big hurdles coming our ways and instead of avoiding them, we get entangled with them! One of them is procrastination.

Procrastination is one of the major sources of setbacks that people suffer from because it is a breeding ground for excuses rather than results. Ok, let me tell you what I mean!

Whenever you hear the word, "pitfall," the next thing that should come into your mind is a set back! A lot of people are where they're today because they weren't able to rise after a fall. Do not be like that. Even, some people got to the top by making use of their brain to carve out a niche for themselves in the areas of life where they were facing hardships. Some days are like that! Solve other people's problems, solve your own.

Another of the opportunities people may have to experience pitfalls is if they are lazy! Yes, life is not easy but there is a way out. Small can lead to big but these words are not for those who have not tried anything new.

Today is a good day to start, pick up a pen and table down what you can do, then start working on them! Let me tell you something, pitfalls are nobody's friends but failure to deal with them can lead to one's downfall. Bad habit is a source of pitfall.

At times, you can excuse yourself from a circle of friends who are only there to gossip, at times, you can overlook some things and at times, you can find a way to say, "Sorry" to people when you offend them! There's no big deal about that and when people apologize to you, try to forgive. It may not be easy but consider tomorrow!

One of the grounds upon which a great nation is built is peace! Nigeria has fallen into the pitfall of chaos and may we not experience more of it. A life is meant to be fruitful but in the absence of assurance, it becomes scattered! Assure yourself of a better future today by taking actions!

Consider going out of your way to seek help or leaving your comfort zone to achieve more. One of the better ways to avoid the pitfall of lack tomorrow is to start now to invest! Invest in yourself, get educated!

You can be who you want to be, just be consistent. In all, always leave a mark where you have been so that people can learn from you especially upcoming ones in your field.

Take the bull by its horns but do not fail to hold a firm grip of the ground and, in one way or the other, one day, you shall find yourself looking back to say that you have tried!

I don't understand the nature of the business though, but you have to be careful.

On one hand, the girl is not wrong because you are the one that tells her everything! So long as she didn't force you to spill the beans, she is entitled to what she hears!

In fact, she can take your ideas, modify them and do better if you keep telling her.

On the other hand, you should have signed an agreement with her not to be in a direct competition with you at such a close margin. You're worried because both of you might be doing business in the same town.

Now, the Op might not actually stop telling her things that concern his business even in the next 10 years because we don't know how they're related. Start discussing family problems with whenever she's around and if she goes to the business angle, tell her to pay you for mentorship! Since, she didn't pay for training, that would be okay.

Meanwhile, there are people that you cannot avoid! Just change topic if she's around and always minimise contact. If need be, tell her to come to you for proper consultations.

The thing is there was this day, I went for concrete casting and while it was raining , I tried to carry a bucket of it and the thing hit the ground! After I discovered that a Mason man can earn N16,000.00 in a day and pay his labourer N3,000.00, I went in a rage to find my own jobs like Filling of block holes, filling of foundations before concrete casting for german floor, compound levelling, concrete floor assistant, recommendation of water seal cement, assisting with blocks only, digging of soak away pits, concreting (at times) and digging of foundation proper!

In all these, you just discuss with the Owner or Engineer on how much he should pay you before you start work and not depend on any mason! While online, I recommend Pwan Homes products and try to blog about my experience on www.adulpted.com though, I hope to move to www.turbanglu.com soon with more potentials.

Recently, I got home to rest for sometime and would like to continue soon. Meanwhile, I am a graduate of Microbiology and would like to land a job soon or further.
