Undoubtably, the air of hope and song of enthusiasm has started sounding on the hearts of all those who have waited and desired to be assimilated into one of the numerous tertially institutions across the country. unmistakenly, this is also the situation faced by the person going through this script. A period of time when you stand in-between the wind of Joy of fulfillment and that of frustration, the later will not be your case if you take your time to humbly read this script as to be broadened. I understand what is going on, the Post UTME is around the corner and really wished you have gone through it and gained admission to study your desired course successfully. Well, in a sorry tone I can tell you that wishing alone cannot help matters unless backed with the needed Actions. Going through this script is one of the needed actions you have taken but applying what is written therein is the ultimate one. Today, I want to share with you in my aura of hope and possibility of you scoring high in your post ume excercise by revealing the secrets that play important roles in the academic life of every student who wish to gain admission with no repeated failures. Be calm and read on. Important tools to help you in your post ume: 1. Effective Use Of The Internet: Though, almost everyone knows to flow over the internet but not everyone knows how to use it for targeted benefit. The internet is undoubtably a 'reservoir' of great a number of information. Ranging from clues on how to ride a bicycle to clues on how to be a successful person. Searching the internet effectively and purposedly can give clues on how to successfully achieve your aim as related to passing your post ume test in flying colours, this will go a long way to includegetting facts about your choice institution from the net, coming in contact with those who had done it before and succeeded, reading other people's success stories and being inspired to study harder for success when you see others who are in your shoes. Like; how to Get the meaning of any English word easily from the net[Google] it is one of the beneficial uses of the internet and others among. Kindly note that you will get me very very wrong if you think that I am suggesting you should make use of the internet or your electronic gadget while in your exam hall. It's far from that, you should make hay while the sun shines and learn to do the needful when chanced to be on the net rather than whiling away your time on presently irrelevant things, like going in search of various football news or Fashion while your exam is fast approaching. 2. Going through your past question papers: This is one thing students who repeat post ume stress every year fail to do or did with little seriousness. Studying your past questions diligently can expose you to the ethics and tactics of the exam you are preparing and further prepares you for the task. A little secret you should know is that these past question papers have also become a special reservoir of questions for most exam personnels, take JAMB compiled past questions and answer for example, don't you think that a lecturer can neccassarily see reasons to pick some of his questions from there, ranging from the year 1978-2015 ? Is'nt that a quite huge number of questions to select from? Of course it is. So why would you play 'blind' to these important secrets, if the lecturer picks from there and you have come across it while studying your past questions, you won't have difficulties in answering it and that saves you the time and strees, so why waste more time? Pick up your past questions and read. 3. Studying your choice school's post ume past questions. This is similar to what has just been explained above, the difference is that studying the past post ume questions of your choice school gives you neccassary clues on the type of questions to be tabled before you on the D-day. It is also from this past questions you would get to know the specific subjects to expect questions from and get yourself adequately prepared. 4. Getting familiar with acolytes. As the post ume closes in you will need someone to stand with or by. It is not always courageous to stand alone else you fall (out). You need acolytes to stand by or with may include but those who have been there before, those who are on the same race with you or those who are members of your choice school [these you can find on relevant facebook groups/pages, active forums as nairaland ]. The first set of people I mentioned will give you clues and information on how to succeed, the second will give you more reasons to strive knowing you are not alone. The last but not the least in the list: 5. God Almighty. ..... With Him all things are possible, so, don't forget to get Him involved. www.schoolguyng..in/2015/07/the-real-secrets-to-scoring-high-in.html |

Truely, you need no one to advice you in order to know you have to read well for the upcoming Post Ume screening excercise because, undoubtably, it is the last phase of the elegibilit testing. But then, you need someone to let you know the reason(s) why you should study Very Very well, not just 'well' for the post ume. 7 Good Reasons Why You Should Study Well 1]To prepare for the task ahead knowing that you are gaining admission is one, and knowing that you need to getloadedto face academical challenges is yet another thing. And, no doubt, this calls for more comprehensive reading. 2]Keeping sound record Yes, if you are able to score high in your post ume screening test, it will remain a positive impact in you and your academics. People get recognized for their sound academic background or record and scoring high in this post ume is one of it. 3]Fulfilling your aim [/b]No one ever wants to go for a screening excercise and go back empty handed, likewise the post ume screening excercise, if you aim is to make an appreciable score and hopefully, gain admission this year, then, you are to take up you books and study harder. Running from one commercial bank to another and from one cyber-cafe to another just to register for JAMB, dear, you need not go through these again! Wake up. 6]Paying back what you owe keeping some people in mind you that they expect you to do well in your career. These could be your parents, friends or guardians, having a high or distinctive score in this post ume reminds them you are not taking their support for granted. 7]the last but not the least,Surprise somebody with your score how do you see that, showing someone a copy of your result and they jump up in awe? Of course, it's always a great moment. So this year you have and need to surprise someone with your score including me. Make someone shout 'incredible!' but you already know, you can't do that with empty brain, so why not take your time and study harder? I wish you great luck. There are so many reasons to study hard for your post ume but we mention these in order to boost your reading acme. Because you ought to know, scoring a high post ume mark will help balance your JAMB result and help you gain admission after the total calculations that will determine your aggregate score. So don't take it for granted. Source: http://schoolguyng..in/2015/05/real-reasons-why-you-need-to-study-more.html |
Like every other thing in life, securing admission into the tertiary institution of learning takes several procedures. Let's look at some of them to know where we stand. The Chief Steps in Gaing Admissions 1] Passing your O'Level. Most universities across the coubtry demands that you obtain your O'level results at or above certain points. For example, for you to secure admission in most universities, you are required to pass your WAEC with at least Five(5) credit passes in relevant subjects (note: in not less than two sittings). Others include NECO, GCE NABTEB etc. If you havedon this, you are on track. 2] Passing your JAMB UTME above some point. First, we know, JAMB stands for the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, diving into it's history is not neccesary here. The big deal is that it is the board responsible for conducting the Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination,UTME, also responsible for placing candidates in the various universities they apply for based on the candidates merit score or catchment area. For you to stand a chance of securing admission in Nigeria through JAMB, you need to score above a stipulated mark called the cut-off mark(usually 180/200). Usually published every year for various tertiary institutions of learning, be it a University, polytechnic, monetechnic or college of education. It is good to note here that the cut-off is a guarantee that one will gain admission in a particular institution as there are those who may score above the mark and seeking admission in same institution in which case they maybe selected and others left behind (as it's in selection of the fittest) depending on the institution's admssions capacity. This in real sense is the reason why candidates are adviced to place cut-off marks aside and strive to score higher in the UTME in order to increase their chances of being admitted. But wait it's not all, JAMB goes hand in hand with this next step.. 3] Post Utme screening excercise. This is conducted by individual institutions in order to select the appropriate candidates for admissions. It is good to note that the final admission aggregate score is calculated employing/merging both UTME score and the post UTME score and this calls for candidates performing well in both exams as to get to (or above) the stipulated cut-off mark. Post utme registerations usually take off around the month of June/July for various institutions across the country. After the examinations session, the selected/admitted candidates(usually published on the Board's website) will have to go through these further steps.. 4] Printing of admission letters. Candidates who are selected are to view and print out their letter of admissions from the matriculations board online for their clearance purposes. 5] Doing Online clearance. As we know, some admission steps usually take place online, these includes verification of payment of acceptance fee on the institution's official website or online portal. 6] Physical clearance. This seems to be final stage of the admission process (but not thoroughly all). Here candidates are to appear before their institution's admissions office in person to be physically examined. This includes the provision of necessary documents including their First Leaving School Certificate or Testimonial or it's equivalent, O'level result, birth certificate or birth delaration statement, medical report, admission letter printed from JAMB, and others. Once this is cleared and certified.. 7] Matriculations follows sooner or later. This approves you a bona fide student of the institution in which you have been admitted to study. And that's it, you become an undergraduate as you desired. With this, you can know where you have been, where you stand and what is ahead and also, the need to work hard(er) to conquer all. There maybe other steps not listed in case you encounter them, Goodluck! Source:http://schoolguyng..in/2015/05/the-neccassary-steps-in-gaining.html |
