Went to pick a relative at the airport late last year waited almost 1hr before she came out and a couple of days ago, went to pick another relative at the same airport, waited almost 1hr before she also shows up, was marvelled with the huge drop in number of folks trooping put of the international arrival. |

Ibro99: Didn’t get the email . My own opinion on the whole saga is owner trying to save face, reported all staffs with less hours to avoid HO getting to know about workers with less hours by themselves, to avoid terminating its licence |

Ibro99: Minimum hours to be sponsored is 37 or 37.5hrs I guess. So, if you’ve been working less than that you ain’t meeting the HO requirements. But there are some exemptions shaa (like sickness, maternity, strike action etc) 1 Like |

kwakudtraveller: Husband working for care agency on sponsorship, doesn’t get much hours and the owner of the care agency went ahead to inform HO, was then given 2months to leave. Came in via care route, never been a student. |

Lexusgs430: Oh sorry maybe the use of my grammar is wrong , Visa withdrawn as a result of non compliance to Home office rules (less hours). Got letter from HO to leave Uk by June (60 days expiration) letter came in late I guess or maybe they did not receive letter early. |

Lexusgs430: Haa egbon mi thanks for the reply, they are still looking into pushing for other opportunities if possible, maybe another offer could show up, reason why. Coupled with flight ticket for whole family ain’t cheap for the short term planning, they considering wife stays and put to bed before leaving as well. But that aside, the main reason is if they can still get an offer before the date |

Hi all, I’ve got a family friend whose visa has be curtailed to leave Uk by1st week of June, the issue is that the wife is pregnant with EDD of July. Could you please advice on how to navigate this, obviously airline might not allow entry due to closeness of the EDD date. EDD - expected date of delivery |

eniola1010: Band 3 upward depending on trust, most health board sponsor band 3 in Scotland. If you don’t get an answer here would advice you hook up with someone in band 3 or get in touch with people within your team or colleague or line manager, there should be a pathway 1 Like |

toughest007: Just got information from a friend that, it will be considered as overlapping IHS which is refundable. Said he got the info from home office. Reason for my previous question as well. Also, to add peope working in the Admin role in health related sector are also eligible for IHS refund every six month. Wasn’t aware of this before. Say for instance working as a data engineer in nhs or public health, admin in care home etc, can apply for IHS refund together with dependant. 2 Likes |

toughest007: So, you will be paying new IHS fee together with the application? |
Travel / Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Schoolhike: 7:41pm On Apr 07 |
Zahra29: Current code is 4111, yes changing to 3560 (same employer) Although there are two scenarios involved. 1st is changing job (occupation code) with the same employer 2nd is changing employer entirely. Will the two scenarios above involve paying for new IHS fee, and if so, will the previous IHS be refunded back (only used less than 2 months ) |

toughest007: @ toughest007, do you mean when updating visa (change of job or moving to new/current employer) you only get to pay visa fee or IHS will be included? |

taalas: You can definitely generate share code without BRP Guess you have ukvi account opened when applying for the visa. Google (Prove your right to work to an employer) You will have three options (Tell us about your immigration status I have a UK Visas and Immigration account I have status under the EU Settlement Scheme I have a biometric residence card or permit) Choose the first option, this will prompt you to enter the login details for your ukvi account, you will then be able to generate your share code without BRP. I hope this helps. 1 Like |

Please anyone have experience of updating updating visa by changing jobs or role on a sponsored role with the same employer. Currently sponsored on EO got HEO and saw on gov website that a new application will still be made with new IHS, is it possible to get refund for the previously paid Ihs when the current sponsorship is still leads than 2 months. |

hustla: Baba you Dey miss niyen oh if you no Dey read. Read one book recently (storytelling with data by Cole nussbaumer), since then I’ve always been seeing error in people’s analysis and chart lol) Currently reading fundamentals of Data engineering still in chapter 2 (gained lots more than combinations of some courses I took in the past). Likewise when I read pl300 (power bi) on Microsoft as compelled to do so by workplace else no access to power bi ( learnt so many things I don’t know even with my proficiency in it) |

hustla: lol, this is me learning so many things when I have not gotten, I keep learning so many things at a time because in my mind I believe I don’t know anything, when I secured my first job couldn’t get to use most of stuffs I’ve learnt, in my current job, was able to use all extensively to the extent I automated almost all my workload now helping other colleagues with their task. Hopefully one very nice job will come your way soon, then you will realised that you know a lot of stuffs that you will even think you are being under-utilised. Would just say you look for one or two solid project to work on and be able to discuss about it when interview comes your way. Because to me you’ve learnt a lot of stuffs. 1 Like |

Zahra29: lol, remain small before you get dragged aswel, by the way, while some of your past comments didn't quite sit right with me (as you know truth is bitter to hear), but they were always interesting to read because they offered a different perspective. But when I reflect on them objectively, they often turn out to be spot on. Your recent comments are particularly fascinating, especially on immigration matters; they're straightforward and mostly accurate. Oh, and interestingly enough, my first baby shares the same name as yours 1 Like |

This reminds me, there was an argument about a Nigerian nurse who has spent 15 years in the UK still being addressed as Nigerian-born. I guess if the situation were flipped, say, a national of another country does something bad, would it be okay to address a white-skinned person as Nigerian even after spending many years or after granting the person a citizenship? Lol, this just crossed my mind. |

Viruses: I guess it’s not fake. I know of someone that the wife wasn’t allowed to apply for visa because the company’s license the husband works for got canceled/revoked. Still possible in this scenario I guess, as Zahra’s mentioned, 1 Like |
