Hello my good people, I would like to enquirer about my mother Inlaw visa application as a visitor. Your inputs are highly welcome please as I need guide and advice.
….My pregnant wife arrived in the Uk on a Student Visa on Oct 16th, she has gotten her BRP,
… she’s would to deliver her baby by next month, so she wants to invite her mum on a 6 month visa to her take care of the baby so as to not affect her studies.
… her mum is a state government pickoff school teacher with over 25 years in service and her dad is a federal government polytechnic senior lecturer.
My question goes as follows….
1. Does this her reason for applying for visitor visa guarantee her to be granted visa?? If not, what other info can I provide ??
2. How long and how much does she require as proof of fund, and must it be in her account or someone else account??
3. Kindly help with other info please require please, I just got to know about this thread and it’s somehow long to read from beginning as there is no much time to delay again please.
NB: her mums name and Dad’s name is included as parents name when she was applying for Visa as a student.
Ps : we leave in a 2bed apartment, incase the ask for evidence of where she’s going to stay |

Preshyi: You obviously misunderstood me Sir, I am already schooling fulltime and if its something that requires a full time training for him then it will definitely affect our finances. so I am looking at how soon he can start considering the financial aspect. I already said I will make research but need to be aware what to look out for. Well, I was advised by a senior family friend that, I as a dependent should just try take up any job in as much as it’s bringing in lots of money for us to clear off our debts (school debts and money borrowed to aid our traveling) and after my wife studies when the financial burden will be lesser, then we should focus on looking for specific jobs that will help aid out stay, but for now we should focus on making money. So, I don’t know if you could apply this also, Tho, it doesn’t stop the dependant to be pursuing other better offers, |

Emmasonic4me: A recent CBN update on guidelines for obtaining PTA now allows students with one-way ticket to get PTA.
This update came into effect about a week or 2 weeks ago. A very close friend of mine travelling to UK this week with one-way ticket got hers ($4,000) yesterday from Stanbic IBTC Bank.
If your travel date is within 2 weeks from now, you may want to give it a shot and update us. Wema bank included |

Has anyone been able to obtain PTA with Uk student visa??
I went to First bank (13 Mediterranean Street, Maitama 904101, Abuja), I was told that I can’t get pta for my student visa because it’s written on the visa that i can work 20hours and because of that they can’t issue PTA to me as I’m permitted to work in Uk, I don’t under stand anymore.
Can someone explain to me better ?? |

Like you've been adviced, just try and arrive the venue before 5.am, if the previous day spill over is not much with the people on appointment, trust God, you'll have a chance for same day, but just prepare your mind for the following day. Amarathripple0: Use Oanda to get the exact conversion rate and total, here’s a link - https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/ Also, do you plan on paying for priority or standard service? That would inform the total amount you need to pay. Always add about $50 - $100 more than the conversion because rates fluctuate often Only my wife(applicant) will use priority How can I find my account to pay the IHS and visa fee Myself and my wife £705 + £348 = £1053 x 2 +(£220 priority) Totaling ===£2,326 $3,193.87 in dollar from the conversion site you gave me. Planning to send change $3,240. How do I get to pay this for my IHS and visa ?? |
