Plaitex:@Owoado is actually right. For him to be able to an interview, that shows a sign of interest from the company because lots of other candidates have been screened out. First of all, I would suggest he ask an experienced fellow or a friend to watch him do a mock interview as advised by Owoado. 2. Can he defend all what he listed on his cv, if asked to 3. Understanding each of the job roles perfectly. 4. Personally, I do use AI to understand the job roles sometimes or ask it to tell me the core skills needed to succeed in such roles by pasting the roles (this is just to have another perspective of what the role entails, I got to learn from 3 different ai, that their are always different ways views are being perceived). 5. Personally, sometimes when interviews has been completed, when I’m giving the opportunity to ask questions, I use that opportunity to say some few things they did not ask during the interview and I know it’s really important for the job or I felt will impress them, (like saying how you always assist your supervisor to archive their commercial aims and objectives by being a high performing employee) then backed it with a scenario, before asking my question. 6. Giving examples and scenarios is always good, (every one can claim that they are a good team player or good communicator, but give a scenario or example to back it up) 7. Try as much as possible to seek for feedback if unsuccessful after interview, (it does give lots of insight or encouragement, 3 of my unsuccessful interviews gave me feedback that kept me going, by not relenting, one told me that if their choosen candidate had not applied I would she been successful). 8. I always write a cover letter alongside my application, even if not required. I started with an entry role, then after settling, I proceeded with roles with more responsibilities. There are some data related roles, say you are a data analyst or you know how to analyze data, then you can search for roles like, data quality, data processor, data management, data officer, data analyst, Etc So, while searching, I would use keyword such as data so any role related to data will pop up, likewise analyst, roles like financial analyst, information analyst etc will pop up, |

I was lucky when I had my own encounter, I had less than 1 weeks to my 1-year chance of driving, when I know how significant it it, it pushed me to write the practical test, watched lots of DGN mock videos, and I passed at first attempt, told like 7 others friend of mine, to watch the same DGN driving school mock on YouTube, all passed at first attempt except 2 who passed at 2nd and 3 attempt after changing centre. Only 2 had an instructor(not licensed), just paid him to see them driving and tell them what there mistakes are (charged 15£/hrs, and 2-3 sessions) So basically, only 5 of us went on to do the test without instructor led. Note: we’ve all been driving for over 3 months in the Uk (all have their own car). We all used the same centre, except for one person. Another lesson, please never give out your insurance to someone to do for you while you paid them, they mostly end up lying for you. And Never lie to get your insurance reduced. Let me tell you some potential consequences: 1. Your name might enter CFA or INSURANCE FRAUD LIST. 2. Once that happen, you might struggle with credit cards, loan, getting insurance. 3. You are likely to pay more like x2 of normal insurance even if you eventually get one to register you 4. Might affect you getting some jobs. 5. More which I can’t remember. lavida001:Yeah, there is but not sure if it’s in-use currently by recruiters. I tried checking it my self before I even got to know that there is another AI to check if a content is AI written. So, ai use case in such situations, the way to go about it to edit or use prompt that relates to personal experience, scenarios, your work experience, based on your cv, etc., also if you are used to AI, you will noticed that it repeats the topic of discussion quite often. Well, I do have my personal way of getting around it, most important is don’t let it portray you in a way you are not (basically lying for you). AI has always been helpful as it explains concepts, you would normally spend hours searching for online, can’t even remember when last I visited stackoverflow which has always been my first go to sites. (gpt plus, google bard, Claude Ai) In less than 4 months of using AI , I’ve learnt things that I couldn’t have learn in a year or more. |

What proportion of legal immigrants utilize NHS services annually? 2. Do legal immigrants contribute to the overall strain on NHS services? 3. Comparatively, how does the contribution of a legal immigrant, through taxes and IHS payments, correspond to their usage of the NHS services? 4. What percentage or estimate does an average immigrant contributes more in taxes than received in public services. eniola1010:Someone already shared above, **Just filter for Administrative officer, Executive officer and if you are really experienced ( then try Higher executive officer or Senior executive officer) Then Permanent, Leave the rest.** But then, some people still use lower grade as a stepping stone to higher grade, like say you are confident of EO role, then you can also send in application for AO role that’s after you’ve submitted lots of applications and you still have more time to apply. (Like for instance, Someone close to me got the job as AO and while during the training another person that they were being trained together left because they got another EO role.) My point is lower grade are easier to join, even though it doesn’t come easy because the competition is also stiff there. But with my experience 95% or majority of AO roles doesn’t require experience, people can even use some of there other unrelated experience from other sectors to write personal statement. Lastly when writing supporting statement or personal statement, I always include scenarios some something you’ve done in the past using the STAR framework to structure it. Make sure read the job details as some require SC clearance which obviously someone with less than 5 years stay can’t apply |

Many people I know that have birth here never does that and one was even scared when they wanted to apply for another visa and she had to contact citizen advice and was told not to bother, can’t remember the exact word shaa. Baby born here wouldn’t need that I think. |

lavida001:Was actually reading a news from telegraph this afternoon, where Reed managing director said there has been a plunge of 24percent of job posting on Reed. What I normally do is by making sure I included a cover letter with my application, only focused on indeed, civil service and nhs (both England and Scotland). I actually prefer applying for civil service and nhs cos real people get to read your application not like those cv filters that some private companies use. If I apply to like 40-60privates, would get like 5-8 employers interested in, then only 2-3 will eventually grant interview cos other would not continue after asking for visa status (psw). But with nhs or civil service , 10 solid applications could grant 3-5 interviews, tho, the application takes time, say like 30-1hr, but really worth it. Another thing, always try to apply to most recent posted jobs, I normally filter out 7 days upwards on sites like indeed. (Not cs or nhs ). |
DadR:Another angle to this is that, securing a job with less than 2 months left on the visa might be a little bit off to some employer most especially those that can’t sponsor, except if you are only pursuing sponsorship jobs. Last year December, I locked up not to only apply for jobs that can sponsor, so I started applying to jobs that can’t sponsor after getting the psw, eventually got one, after 4 months on the job, like 10 of us in the company were made redundant, eventually got another one (which would probably come with sponsorship from my research), after a month of thorough searching with lots of interviews rounds like 2 in a week, (then I remembered an advise from the thread that not to be too loyal with a company when opportunity arise, some other opportunities did arise when on that job, but turned a blind eye) Well all in all, would advise you apply as soon as possible cos of the increment and also be able to apply for jobs without the fear of an expiring visa which some employer might take serious because sincerely, I got to know during my job search that the competition out there is stiff, compared to when I came in in 2021. |

Nelsmannnnnnnnn:They would sponsor people that complete their studies in the UK, will less than 26k£ salary, in as much it’s not written in the job description that people needing sponsorship in future should not apply. But most will ask that will you have the right to work uptill the start date of the role. A friend was sponsored on 22k salary with civil service, and the role is more customer service related. Basically people that studied in the Uk can be sponsored with less 70-80% salary of the job ongoing rate. My hypothesis is that administrative role in private or band 3, 4 and above in NHS could be sponsored should you finish your studies in Uk ( bachelor, master, phd, etc ) just try to get the job and start the role, if I were you I wouldn’t bother asking during the interview or before final confirmation, but be quite sure that you are sure that you can be sponsored, or your company is on sponsorship list and possibly enlighten your hr by also printing the government guidance. |

Seynex01:Yes, you’ve got no issue, once had a stop over by police and they were confused on whether my provisional licence then superseded my Nigeria licence while still within the 1 year limit, they had to make lots is calls and at the end I was told I’m allowed to drive. Note: the stop over ain’t because of licence, it’s another issue entirely, but to rectify the issue they had to verify my licence first |
