Lexusgs430:Thanks brother, Will give a try. |
topellycategory:Thanks so much, Tried one before, but most require the property to be England based. |
Lexusgs430:How I wish I could get hold of non interest mortgage as my religion doesn’t permit taking up interest based loan. |
Noworries11:DGN mock videos |
Meogom:Sincerely address is very important,. In my own case they had to verify my name and address against the details on electoral records. |
Controlv:Just make sure you check how much is new insurance should in case you cancel the current one. Meanwhile you still have 4months left, in your insurance, wait and get you No claim bonus naa. Sometime dem no Dey get direct job title, they do use a related job title. Mine from data processor to data analyst, i was even told not to bother by my insurance since they can’t find data analyst on their list. |
kwakudtraveller:Person jam my car while it was parked, while my car also enter person building (fence pulled down) the person left the scene (not a run-away driver I think), but police said it’s criminal as he left the scene, eye witness we’re able to get the car details. All in all, my point I was asked every question you could imagine. By both police and insurance coy. Make people shaa no lie for insurance companies that’s all I can say, up to the point of what is your job type and use of car, your mileage you inputted while buying out the insurance and so on. It’s also very important to update any change in personal details most especially address. Let you car be in good condition, don’t drive with tyres beyond the allowable legal limit. |
midey93:Try Civil service administrative officer(no or little experience required), executive officer, Higher executive officer, etc depending on your experience Check some of my previous post on ways to go about it. Been hearing some testimonies from friends, Heard one today aswell from a friend |
Schoolhike:Lol, see me advising people against lying to get cheap insurance yesterday, my car had an accident today (non-fault anyway), not a single info about me was left without scrutiny from the insurance company including police. I will say it again, please don't give false information to get cheap insurance, my candid advice. |
kwakudtraveller:You can keep searching and wait if you are not in haste as you will still get one cheaper. Last year when I was searching for one, I keep getting £2k minimum, I waited for 2 days while still checking them, later got for £1k (note that I have Uk licence, it was new then and car is 1.6 engine, yours might be lower or higher depending on your situation). Meanwhile, recently I think there is a current hike in price of insurance, lots of friends have been complaining about the increase in price. Check all comparison website, quotezone, supermarkets, go compare, money savings, etc Also, it might be tempting to increase the excess, just put amount you can afford. (A friend car got bashed recently and the driver refused to stop, he called the insurance he was told that it’s a claim against himself because he couldn’t get the other driver details even just reg number, he was told to pay the excess first which was 500£ he choose when buying out the insurance, he later repaired the car him self with 250£) NB:Please don’t ever lie to get cheap insurance it doesn’t worth it at all, the consequence it too bad, really much more expensive on the long run and bad reputation if caught. Edit: You can discuss with your current provider anyway. |
harddrive2012:Was actually buying the supreme before, but I stoped it because it’s more expensive and read few articles online that it doesn’t really matter on the fuel type, but some argue that it’s saves on fuel cost as it doesn’t burn quicker compared to the second option. I just decided to stop buying it since my car is not the high end type, and it’s getting old already. Another argument was that someone needs to be consistent with the fuel type right from when the car was bought brand new, since mine has been used by several people, I don’t just feel the need to be buying expensive fuel. |
seunoj:Learnt from watching YouTube video or from seeing someone getting it done directly? I get frustrated when my mechanics get to tax me all over again after taxing the parts used to repair the car, like for instance I get taxed for buying a particular part bought by my mechanic which has already been taxed by the seller and my mechanic will also tax it again when summing up, really crazy. I saved a lot during my last mot by buying part my self directly from eBay. Was seeing 77£ on eBay and 180£ from offline shops really crazy difference. Took my car to a service centre that does interim checks while also recommending some actions or repairs that needs done, from there I gathered the list of parts I also felt needed and I bought them all from eBay, (make sure you ask the seller to check the exact type for you and also do you research very well also). Spent 270£ on parts which would have been around over 550£ of bought from offline store. NB: Don’t make a mistake of putting wrong fuel in your car oh, lol cost me I think 150£ (still have the receipt) and I still loose another 90£ worth of fuel after listening to a bad advice of putting more fuel. Initially bought petrol of 25£ and upon knowing, was advised by someone to add extra diesel to mix it, I bought extra 70£ worth of the supreme grade diesel. On my way home problem start. (Was that time when diesel was almost 1.9£/liter). Struggled to get it home. Can’t afford to pay for another towing vehicle. |
ukay2:I don learn this one now self, Wetin next wey I wan leant na how to change my engine oil and break pads, Told my mechanic say I wan do apprentice the guy no gree oh, say I wan Dey learn work, he said no. |
ukay2:Wao, thanks for the clipper suggestions. |
Lexusgs430:Lol, |
Lexusgs430:Lol, egbon mi you cut your hair yourself sir? Omo, I don too spend for washing and barbing Need to reduce cost. |
koonbey:The first person finished studies I think . the start of the tier 2 visa was in December and end of the tier 4 was in January (1months difference) and student normally finish studies before that December. The 2nd person still has like 7months left which obviously means that the person did not complete studies |
Viruses:Last resort when she’s not interested in the job anymore, She could give a resignation letter and then tender the evidences against them. As a result, her reason to another prospective employer asking for why she left the job wouldn’t be that the employer sacked her. With that, such thing wouldn’t happen to others coming to join the company or deter others from framing people up. |
Oyi12:Would advise you not to show those pics or videos to anyone since it's against the company's policy. Heard of a similar situation here previously, and both the staff member who was sleeping and the one who took the pictures (because it was not allowed) were both dismissed. During the Meeting 1. Before presenting your side, understand what specific allegations have been made against you. 2. Stay calm and professional, regardless of how emotional or personal the matter is, remember to maintain your composure. 3. Stick to the facts, discuss the situation without resorting to personal attacks on other staff members. 4. Address the issue of you handling night checks for others, make it clear that you've been proactive in your duties, even covering for others. 5. Ensure to discuss your limitations regarding day shifts due to childcare. Perhaps you can also provide proof or reasoning that necessitates you working night shifts. 6. Before your meeting, consider seeking legal advice or speaking to a union representative if you have one. They may be able to offer more specific guidance tailored to your situation and local employment laws. Lastly, consider if this workplace environment is healthy for you in the long run. A hostile work environment can be detrimental to both your professional growth and personal well-being. You could recommend ( 1. If the company utilizes PCs or tablets to log night checks, then the timestamps can be referenced to determine who was actively recording care at specific times. 2. Additionally, to demonstrate my commitment to my responsibilities, I'm willing to consent to be photographed by other staff if ever they find me sleeping on duty.) |
Happyfellow147:That’s my average working house in Scotland, I drive so that’s an edge for me to work at places with better pay. Works with different agency then, Florence, Allied&Clinical, etc Sometime it’s more than that, once worked 40£/hr for a day shift, 25-35£/hr for bank holidays. But been hearing lots of info lately that people are no more getting shift like before really scarce, so people are back to doing 13£,14£,15£ etc but few are still getting range of 17-25£/hr for weekends and night shift. Scotland nhs pays bank staff around 17-21£/hr for weekends I think. Some agencies pays higher. All depends on your agency shaa, don’t have much info anymore. |
tinutunde:If you leave in Scotland you could get one easily or quickly today by calling the out-of-hours @ 111. |
tinutunde:@ tinutunde I’d rather dm @ Lexusgs430 to get in touch. Lexusgs430: |
joe10:Sincerely not telling you what to do, I think you still have much time to spend on your current visa, you could try get job related to your career path without cos and get your Uk experience, even 4months Uk experience will do.m you to keep going. Moving from a COS to another COS ain’t that easy, most especially say moving from a care cos to another skilled visa, some employers now even require you to work with them for some time before issuing COS. Sincerely the care job is not that easy, I did it for a year and I can tell you it ain’t easy, I was making lots of money in it with an average pay of 17£/hr through out the 1 year, although I was happy that I was making money from it at first but at a point I got stressed out and even seeing shift of 15-20£/hr doesn’t motivate me, I just got tired, basically work mostly with NHS and some other time in care home, did domiciliary for one week I ran away cos it doesnt sit well in my mind to be using part of my salary to repair the car as a result of heavy usage because the one last thing you wouldn’t want you to happen is your car getting spoilt and you having the need to go to mechanic, I don’t think I’ve ever visited the mechanic without spending a minimum of 100£ for just a visit which is almost like a day pay after tax) If you have the means to pursue another job, sincerely go for it, (just assume in your mind that say there is not CARE sponsorship won’t I pursue something else) Sincerely I’m not berating the job, but it’s really tiring at a point. But if that’s the only option you’ve got to keep bills going then go for it but not for sponsorship(if you’ve got other means), maybe just to make your money and have the flexibility to look for jobs. Another thing that I learnt was that getting ILR by taking up care COS does not mean you won’t work anymore or work less as a result of having settled visa in this Uk with lots of recurring bills, my experience having worked with lots of people across different places, I discovered that people still get stuck in a particular job even people that are settled already. (NB: please note that I’m only saying this only for people who have got other options and you your self knows this in your mind) Just take it as a last resort maybe when there is no other means as I do believe in my own opinion that having a care COS is better that being sent back to 9ja. Lots of people are taking care COS because of different circumstances which are valid (like family of 5 paying for IHS and visa which is very expensive but had to take the care COS or like people that have issue with school and some other reasons, or people trying to leave 9ja via the care route). Sincerely, in my opinion if you’ve got options other than the care visa try to explore it. We don’t need to be too scared if the current company don’t have sponsorship in as much as you still have a longer validity on the visa. We have seen people here give testimonies about their coy registering for sponsorship because the company don’t want to loose them, I have a personal friend that was sponsored infact his coy pay for his visa and IHS no refund after paying to get sponsorship licence. Wish us all success. |
Jcole123:No harm in trying, las las no, just try Use this (Hello [Line Manager's Name], I hope this finds you well. Firstly, I'd like to sincerely thank you for considering me for the account manager position. Upon reflection and a deeper consideration of my long-term career goals, I realize that I may have been too hasty in my earlier decision. I am genuinely interested in the opportunity to interview for the role, if it's still available. I understand if the position has been filled or if you have reservations due to my previous response, but I wanted to express my genuine interest and ensure I'm exploring all avenues that align with my career aspirations. Thank you for understanding, and I look forward to your response. Best regards, [Your Name] ) _Copied_ If you haven't signed a contract, legally, there isn't a binding agreement. Meanwhile you can still sign the contract, just understand the exit clause in the contract before signing should in case you want leave. Wish you success |
hustla:Lol😂🤣😂🤣 |
Knowlegeseeking:He’s happy that he’s on sponsorships. But not happy that he’s getting low pay as a result of sponsorship |
Although, this forum has been really motivating and a contributing factor in some decision making by having lots of different perspectives on a subject matter. |
bigtt76:Definitely 😉 |
Knowlegeseeking:You can give it a shot anyway. I did the same, got care sponsorship before my tier 4 expired, did not go for it, paid for psw for myself and spouse, and less than 1 months after psw, got data job and rest is history, now with job that could sponsor while spouse also on job that could sponsor. Sometimes taking risk could eventually worth it. And you are much more satisfied in life by following your instincts, especially the ones your mind is most interested in. ("Numerous studies and historical accounts suggest that following one's instincts, especially those passions that deeply resonate with us, can lead to greater satisfaction in life. The Self-Determination Theory, posits that actions rooted in our genuine interests result in higher satisfaction and overall well-being. Historical figures, across various domains, have also attested to the fulfillment they achieved by trusting their intuition. Furthermore, cultural aphorisms like 'Follow your heart' or 'Trust your gut' underline this universal sentiment. Surveys on happiness consistently indicate that those who align their careers and activities with their passions report higher life satisfaction. Hence, there's substantial evidence, both empirical and anecdotal, suggesting that listening to our intrinsic motivations can be the key to a more fulfilling life." _copied_ |
Immigration policies can change unexpectedly. I recall a friend who had a dilemma: he had a job offer from Amazon that paid nearly £95k annually but without sponsorship. In contrast, another company offered him less than £50k but with full sponsorship. He ultimately chose the company that provided sponsorship. Regarding the professional exam you mentioned, is it realistic to complete it within the given timeframe? Keep in mind that the sponsorship from the larger company is contingent upon it. Lastly, how is your relationship with your current line manager or supervisor? A challenging manager can make the work environment quite difficult, especially if you're considering staying long-term. |
Knowlegeseeking:The decision you're facing is a complex one, balancing both short-term and long-term considerations. Here's a breakdown of the factors you've mentioned and some thoughts to guide your decision: 1. **Job Quality & Career Growth**: - **Company A**: A lower-tier audit firm where you currently work part-time. It might offer more familiarity and continuity, but potentially less exposure to larger, more complex audits, and potentially slower career growth. - **Company B**: A top 15 audit firm with a better reputation, presumably more extensive client exposure, and likely better opportunities for career progression. 2. **Compensation & Benefits**: - **Company A**: Offers a lower salary and benefits package. - **Company B**: Provides a significantly better pay and benefits package. 3. **Sponsorship & Visa Costs**: - **Company A**: Provides 5 years of sponsorship. However, you bear the full cost of the Visa and IHS, which can be spread over time. - **Company B**: Recommends the PSW visa route initially. They commit to covering sponsorship costs later, but this comes with the inherent risk of potential policy changes or the company's situation changing in the next 2 years. 4. **Job Security**: - **Company A**: The 5-year sponsorship might offer a sense of job security, but it's crucial to understand any conditions or stipulations attached. - **Company B**: The 2-year fixed contract offers a shorter period of certainty, but if you get chartered and they honor their commitment, this can change. 5. **Personal and Professional Goals**: - **Company A**: Continuity and perhaps more immediate stability, but potentially slower career growth. - **Company B**: Better alignment with your career aspirations, work-life balance, and other personal criteria. **Considerations**: - **Financials**: Even though Company B offers better pay and benefits, factor in the potential costs (and the stress associated with them) if for some reason they do not sponsor you later. - **Stability vs. Growth**: Company A offers immediate stability with its 5-year sponsorship. Company B offers better growth prospects, but with the condition of sponsorship in the future. - **Risk**: All decisions have inherent risks. With Company B, the risk is the potential of not getting sponsorship later, though they currently commit to it. Given the factors above, if you are risk-averse and value immediate stability, Company A might be the safer bet. However, if you are more focused on long-term career growth, better compensation, and are willing to bet on yourself getting chartered and Company B following through on their commitment, then Company B seems to be the better choice, especially since it aligns better with many of your criteria. _copied_ |
