op are you aware of the difference in cost involved in studying in a school the USA vs Nigeria? Do you know how much money each student has to pay for education in the USA? Multiply that by the number of students in that University and then you arrive at the reason why the infrastructure is different and ofcourse the quality of education also. Nigerian unis are the way they are mostly because of poor funding and low school fees. |
Aminat508:Aminat you get mind o. Posting this without considering your friends on this thread shebi? I have not recovered from the Sallah ram meat you posted before now this. Kuku kill me |
Thank you so much Anabell2 for showing up. To those who don't know she is very good at digging up online fraudsters. What she exposed is just a tip of the iceberg. There we have it. I just wanted to have my conscience truly clear that little kids actually went to bed hungry without me trying to help in any little way. Now I am happy I didn't. Face of a scammer! ![]()
|
Anabell2 please verify this guy |
Millyiyke:Get up and Man up to your responsibilities. The children you have created do not deserve to be hungry because daddy won't work. Whatever I have in life today I worked real hard to get it. Without parental support. I am a legit hustler. Seriously you have no excuse to watch your kids go to bed without food, when even people on wheelchair are hustling hard. I don't envy your wife one bit. |
Millyiyke:You are a LAZY man. You got "waist dislocation"for carrying cement.this is a job that women do o, just so their family can eat. Yet you produced 3 children, for who to feed? I have been reading your sob stories from page 1. Even though the pictures you uploaded refused to show. I would have wired you some money but no, I also do back breaking jobs too. If I marry this kind of man eh?! let me not talk |
I can't believe NLNG is worth only 15,billion dollars. I was part of its building is 2006. I was part of train 6. We built 4 tanks in train 6 for 550 million USD. Only 4 tanks o! Plus our salaries came from NLNG so that means it cost far more than that to build the six trains plus I was there when the ground was prepared for train 7. Or except the 15 billion is only the amount government invested in its building. Because major companies (SHELL and co) partnered to build it. Then what of the cost of the gigantic ships that were bought to export the gas. The Residential areas, hospitals schools. Inshort plus all the total assests NLNG owns? No no no, NLNG is far worth than that. I personally think it is wickedness for anyone to sell a very functional gas facility as this. |

I have experienced first hand the fraud and deciet that some of this pastors do. I have even had a bad experience from one big general overseer whose mentor is Benny hinn. When I read negative stories about this man I know its the truth, because my eyes have seen first hand deciet from this MOG. That not withstanding, I do not appreciate the fact that an atheist (Seun) opens a thread or pushes a thread to front page as a subtle way of mocking Christianity. Whether today we have fake pastors or not it was Christianity that brought light to Nigeria. It was the missionaries that came in to build hospitals, schools and many other good things we enjoy today that pushed the dark African tradition away and gave way to churches. Our fathers embraced Christianity because it was good. We didn't need to go to a native doctor anymore to appease the gods when we fell sick. That some people aka fake pastors rise up daily to try and deceive us doesn't mean that till today that there are no good and honest christian leaders, evangelists doing God's work in truth and according to God's way. Seun I saw your post yesterday on fifty shades of Chris oyakilome. I am not his fan though. Then today this, if this continues I will have no choice than to deregister and leave Nairaland for good. And yes God exists! |
Pidggin:Where did you get that from? |
I hate to be tribalistic but I have to agree, the majority of girls in Italy , Germany prostituting are from Edo. This girls know very well what they are getting themselves into. A friend of mine who lived in Italy said when they try to rescue this girls, the following week they go back to the same prostitution trade. I think they cry out because they don't want to settle any Madam with the money. They want to cut out the madams and get the money into their pockets themselves. Here in Germany majority tribe here is the Edo people. They are everywhere. Few are okay and decent but most of them the guys especially came through their sister who was first trafficked here and has already gotten her freedom. So when they become free and they start making money on their own they bring in their family members. There are a lot of them here. A lot! Even the system does not give them work permits so they stick to doing dirty things to make money. |
The man and his wife had long sorted themselves out. He posted that that they had a romantic dinner and guys are still here offering advices ![]() |
banmee:The only difference between people abroad(Western countries of course) and people back home in Nigeria is the attitude. Now I understand that phrase"ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING". I have looked around me and sat down to think seriously. From what I have observed, I am sorry to say but Nigeria can never be better until everyone begins to have the right attitude. It is still shocking to me that people here do the right things and obey the law because its the right thing to do not because they could get caught. I live in a block of 250 apartments (fully occupied) but if a pin drops you could hear the sound because no one talks loudly or uses loud music to disturb. Its always quiet and neat all the time. On the busy streets of Germany, I have heard a car horn only maybe twice. There is no need because everyone obeys traffic and drives reasonably. You don't see anyone here eat and throw waste out of their windows. I could go on and on. |
CrazyQuinn:My dear I had the same thoughts too. To pay school fees that is so expensive in Nigerian universities plus rent, transport feeding, text books and other other essential payments. Her mum may have helped out a lot and one bros too. |

Most of those food ingredients are sold in Afro and Asian shop in Germany. Once you can cook there is rarely anything you posted there you can't make. The only challenge is you may need to visit several shops to get the ingredients you desire. Asking other Nigerian nationals where they buy food stuff also helps. I have made Akara and Moin moin, egusi, ogbono soup, tasty vegetables soup. Jollof rice, fried rice, white rice and stew Na everyday affair. I had been crying for snails for long. It was with pride and joy that I found a pack for 2.50€ and I made it into my Ogbono soup. I guard that soup jealousy. Even Oga is not allowed to near ![]() I will post some pics of just few of what I cooked. |

ladyvan88:I have not seen MSG(monosodium glutamate) listed in maggi star |
cindyrocks:My sister its not his fault. No business. No contracts. Even companies working around Intel's have shut down completely |
Onegai:The noodles is not the problem. Its the spice in some of them especially the Nigerian popular brands( Indomie, Chikkie etc) that is the problem. The spices contain MSG which is dangerous not only for cancer but to other organs in the body |
imperiouxx:Thanks to you and Lagosismyhome. They have shelved the idea of schooling in US. But it was a huge shock to them finding out that they can't work outside campus |
LagosismyHome:Thank you so much for your reply. They both schooled in the UK but had to return. And they haven't been able to find something to do in Nigeria. From your post I think its best they both come on the F1 student visa. So if they both get to the US to study another Masters, does that imply that they will only be allowed to work on campus throughout the Masters program? Will this take care of the bills, rents etc? Is it feasible to get a campus job? Is there a time during study when they will be allowed to work offcampus? At the end of schooling, does the system allow them to stay back and apply for jobs? Their situation brings tears to my eyes. Imagine spending thousands of pounds to study for years in the UK and then forced to leave the UK |
Hello Guys! Please I am new on the US thread. I have been awake from midnight going through all US student threads but I am still not clear on some things. I have a brother and his wife who are planning on relocating to the USA. Either one of them plans to come on student visa. Or one person could have student status and file for the other spouse. Please what's the best way around it? Basic aim is to settle down in the US at the end of the day and both plan to work. Please does a student visa allow them (student & spouse) to work? The wife has a first class in International relations though, so she is the one most likely be the one to come for study and her husband will join her as soon as possible. After getting to US how soon can they both start working? Please help a brother here. Please |
Seun doesn't live in Nigeria. |
I have not recovered from the Sallah ram meat you posted before now this. Kuku kill me
