Which .statement is fiction? Why aren't Ibo girls marrying Hausas or Igala in the same pace as they marry Yoruba men? Women marry into cultures they find attractive. No one will marry into backward culture. A woman is the one that changes her name and her identity in marriage. Why do you think many mixed Ibo kids are more Yoruba than Ibo, even when their mom is Ibo?

Ibo girls are marrying out of Iboland and it's worrying you guys. That's why nnamdi kanu said that 99% of Ibo girls are prostitute. If Ibo boy loosen up, if your culture advances, you can reduce the epidemic.

Politics / Re: Archbishop Of Enugu Blast Okorocha by scorpio2013: 9:24pm On Aug 04, 2016
Man of God leave politics and save souls.
kingsman66:
The Archbishop of the Enugu Province, Anglican
Communion, the Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma,
Thursday, blasted Imo State Governor, Rochas
Okorocha over his persistent attacks on the Deputy
Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
Okorocha, who is the Chairman of the All
Progressives Congress, APC, Governors’ Forum,
has vowed to remove Ekweremadu and replace him
with the Senator elect from Imo State.
Speaking when members of the National
Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, visited
him at the Archbishop’s place in Enugu, the cleric
maintained that Okorocha was pursuing anti-Igbo
agenda.
The students, who were in their hundreds, took over
Enugu streets protesting the plan by the APC to
remove Ekweremadu. From the Archbishop’s place,
the moved to the Enugu Government House, where
they were received by the commissioner for youth
and sports, Charles
While addressing them, Chukwuma declared: “We
are saying that the Governor of Imo State should
apologize to Ekweremadu because he has no right
to be harassing him.
“The person who is going to the Senate under the
APC is coming just for the first term; whether you
like it or not, he must come and pay homage to
Ekweremadu.
“How can you as a Governor who is just
sponsoring one person, for the first time be
threatening that you will remove Ekweremadu? It is
not possible.
“What I am saying is that Okorocha should
apologize and he should know that he is either an
Igbo man or a bastard Igbo.
“He is a bastard Igbo if he does not apologize and
we are ready to disown him because he is not in
the same page with us as an Igbo man. If he was
sent by agents from outside, they have failed.”
The Archbishop, who equally accused the Attorney
General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami
of derailing the country’s democracy, urged him to
throw-in the towel.
According to him, “Ekweremadu’s election as the
Deputy Senate President was absolutely
constitutional; he was elected by the entire Senate
made up of members of different political parties.
“So, if the Senate does not complain, I don’t know
why the Attorney General should be behind this
course. I am calling for his resignation; he must
resign because he is the cause of all these
problems. His continuous stay in office is a threat
to democracy”.
He further stated that “any attempt to ridicule or
rubbish Ekweremadu will not be acceptable. It will
be totally resisted. The principle of separation of
powers should be allowed to drive the process of
governance.”
The Church leader faulted President Muhammadu
Buhari over his insistence that the unity of the
country was not negotiable, stressing “when you
are marginalizing a certain people, it is not fair and
in such situation, the unity of the country is
negotiable.”
At the Enugu Government House, the
Commissioner for youths and sports, Mr. Charles
Ndukwe, who received the students, stated that
Senator Ekweremadu had maintained his innocence
of the allegations.
“Ekweremadu has said it on several occasions that
he is innocent of the allegations. We shall continue
to support him because he is not just a Senator but
a philanthropist”, he said.

Politics / Re: Dr. Ikpeazu Is Operating Illegally As Governor - Festus Keyamo by scorpio2013: 7:15pm On Jul 13, 2016
The thing pain am.
LasgidiOnline:
Read his statement below...

On Monday, 27th day of June, 2016 the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja (Per Hon. Justice O. E. Abang) nullified the nomination of Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for the 2015 Gubernatorial Election of Abia State and also his subsequent election as Governor of Abia State.
The Court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to issue a Certificate of Return to Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah, who scored the second highest number of votes in the primaries that produced Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu.

A thorough scrutiny of the judgment of the court will reveal that, contrary to widespread opinion that Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah’s case was that Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu presented forged tax papers to the Independent National Electoral Commission, his case was simply that Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu apparently rushed to pay all his backlog of taxes just before the elections, yet he swore to a false affidavit and supplied a false information to the Independent National Electoral Commission that he paid his taxes AS AT WHEN DUE. It was based on this false information that the court nullified his candidature.

OGAH’S CERTIFICATE OF RETURN

I have carefully listened to various arguments regarding the immediate issuance of a Certificate of Return to Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah by the Independent National Electoral Commission in strict compliance with the judgment of the Court. Contrary to opinions expressed in certain quarters there is no judicial decision or statutory provision preventing the Independent National Electoral Commission from complying immediately with the Orders of the Federal High Court. The provision of Section 143(1) of the Electoral Act, Part VIII that gives Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu (or any other office holder for that matter) 21 days within which to file an appeal against an adverse judgment (and to remain in office until the appeal is determined) applies only to post-election matters before election Tribunals or the Court of Appeal and not pre-election matters as in this case.

In the circumstance, the Independent National Electoral Commission acted legally and correctly by instantly issuing a Certificate of Return to Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah.

WHY DR. OKEZIE VICTOR IKPEAZU MUST STEP DOWN IMMEDIATELY AS GOVERNOR OF ABIA STATE

It would have been permissible for Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu to continue in office as Governor of Abia State pending the outcome of the appeal despite the judgment of the Federal High Court (and the nullification of his Certificate of Return) if Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah had not been issued a Certificate of return instantly.

But having been issued a Certificate of Return, it is constitutionally abnormal and legally paradoxical that a person with a validly issued Certificate of Return should not occupy that office immediately, and the person with an invalidated Certificate of Return continues to occupy that office.

That is why the Interim Order restraining the Chief Judge of Abia State or any other Judicial Officer from swearing in Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah is a non-sequitor as the judgment of Abang J has already been complied with by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The scenario we have now is that of a person, without any document entitling him to that office, occupying the office of Governor of Abia State, whilst a person who has both a valid court judgment and a valid Certificate of Return is unable to assume office as Governor of the state.

Let the world know today that Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu is operating illegally as Governor of Abia Sttae and all his actions, orders and anything done in that capacity are null, void and of no effect.

Dr. Sampson Uchechukwu Ogah should be sworn in immediately as Governor of Abia State pending the appeal lodged by Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu. That is the only way to go to enthrone legality in Abia State. The heavens will not fall.

Thank you.

Politics / Re: Reply To Can Igbos Survive Without Lagos? by scorpio2013: 9:23pm On Jul 12, 2016
The statistics is from your govt, go to google. And findout. Where were you when fashola conducted census in lagos. Look, a significant amount of your igr comes from Igbo businesses.o
StOla:

If Igbos make up to 40% of Lagos, I reckon Yorubas are just 30% of the population since we have to also accommodate all the other ethnic groups in Nigeria in this statistics by imagination?

If Igbos are that critical to Lagos, why not leave and punish the wicked and ungrateful Yorubas by so doing?

As I have stated elsewhere, it is the curse of the immigrant to always think he is doing his host society some favour, even if he migrated using illegal paperwork, or sold all his assets to raise the fees for his relocation. The Igbos are no different, so I do not begrudge them for this attitude of self importance.

However, whatever contribution any immigrant ethnic grouping thinks it contributes to the host society, that service is waiting to be rendered by the next wave of immigrants waiting to fill the vacuum left by the former.

As long as Lagos is still geographical located as it is and the society remains relatively peaceful, it will always attract the attention and capital of true investors, not people hoping to come sell foreign and Aba goods in Lagos to take money from Lagos residents.

How exactly does importation done by Igbos to sell foreign made goods or Aba goods to Lagos customers translate to them bringing in money already resident in the hand of Lagosians?

How does Lagos develop when funds are transferred to a factory in China, India or Aba whenever goods are sold in Lagos?

The wealth resident in Lagos is only redistributed with the Igbo man as one of the beneficiaries, who in turn must pay tax to the government of that society where he has made his money. He has only brought his goods to Lagos and gets my money in return. He needs to play in the Lagos market, the Lagos market has enough merchants waiting for their own opportunity.

He is the one at the mercy of Lagos. He goes, he suffers, some other competitor fill the void.

The dynamics of Lagos ensures no one can hold it to ransome, excepts its own people decide to self destruct their society like the Niger Delta has mastered to perfection.

When the Igbo man brings a large scale industry to Lagos like Dangote, that would see funds from other parts of Nigeria and the rest of the world, transferred back to Lagos in terms of purchases made for goods and services manufactured in Lagos, employing Nigerians resident in Lagos and all paying their taxes to Lagos, then I would hold the Igbo man in high regard.

For now, let the Igbo merchant continue importing foreign goods and making his money from Lagos residents while he still can, with much gratitude and appreciation to me the customer, who is king.

Politics / Re: Reply To Can Igbos Survive Without Lagos? by scorpio2013: 4:39pm On Jul 12, 2016
They Igbos make up to 40percent of lagos, the market you are talking about has a significant Igbo population so if Igbos leave lagos, they will leave with a significant propotion of the lagos market, not forgeting their capital and the tax they pay to lagos govt. About servant and master, your focus should be on how to build public toilets in your place so that your people will stop defecating in public.[ quote author=StOla post=47463772]Does the Igbo man manufacture anything in Lagos that is sold as export, thereby bringing money to the purse of Lagos State that wasn't in Lagos before?

Answer is NO!

The Igbo man is an economic refugee in Lagos.

He needs the market that Lagos population provides so that he will sell his goods. The Igbo man needs me to buy his goods, and he will pay his taxes in return to the government of Lagos State.
The Igbo man imports goods from China and India and collects the bulk of his money from the Lagos population to keep factory workers in China and India employed.

How has this Igbo man brought money to develop Lagos? Instead he takes money from Lagos and makes it his own. Who should be grateful? Who needs Lagos?

He has in no way generated any money for Lagos that wasn't resident in Lagos before.

Now take the Igbo man away from Lagos. How will he survive?

The demolished shops in Oshodi resulted to a lot of cries from the Igbo tenants while the Yoruba owners of the demolished shops moved on after the initial disappointment. The government had already given numerous notices to have the traders relocate.

The Igbos who were just tenants couldn't move on and exclaimed, "how are we going to survive?".
The irrelevant Ohaneze then declared the governor of Lagos State as an enemy of the Ndigbo, and gave the usual irrelevant ultimatum to have him revert his development strides in Lagos to accommodate the chaos associated with any Igbo grouping in Lagos.

At no time did the affected Igbo traders consider even relocating to Biafran land to continue their trade. At no time did Ohaneze encourage the Igbo traders to come home and deprive Lagos of IGR for the benefit of Anambra or Ebonyi.
Who can guess where those affected traders are now? They have either found another soon to be demolished market to survive in Lagos, or they have found their way to Sango-Otta, Ibadan, Akure, Ilorin, Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, or even Maiduguri, so as to survive.

Why the vehement distaste for Igboland to continue their business at home with their fellow hardworking tribesmen who don't envy them?

So who needs Lagos?
So who is master and who is servant in Lagos?

Who has ever heard a dispensable servant giving the master of the field ultimatums on how he organises his field?
If the master does not want the servant, the servant goes.
If the servant does not like the master, the servant still goes.
If the master decides to redevelop his field, the servant must still go.

Let the servant know his place, as the Master's place is already known.[/quote]

Abagworo:

1st of all GEJ is not an Igbo man and 2ndly no ethnic group was targeting GEJ with destructive propaganda aimed at creating chaos across Nigeria. What many Igbos involved in this recent quest for war have failed to understand is that a war in Igboland is a lose lose situation and dearth of our long term hardwork from 1970 to 2016 or whenever the war starts. A warrior doesn't wish for war but cowards do because they kniw nothing about it's devastation. In war even the winner comes out devastated.

It is a natural human tendency for people who are not directly affected by any form of inhumanization to sit back and judge those directly affected simply because, they do not feel the pains. I am not a Niger Deltan but having gone through certain investigation, I became loath to condemn their justifiable fight going on. (1) the government knew all these while that the resources gotten from their land has been the major means of sustainance for this country yet, indulged in such level of negligence of duty against them. It quite looks like the case of one who having slaked his taste, turns his back at well that fed him. How could the clean-up of Ogoni land just commence now, after dunky's years of plea by the inhabitants of the oil-rich enclave which has been the treasury base of the Nation? Whilst the government turned blind eye to the plights and sufferings of the people who owned what the Nation depends on. They concentrated their attention on Lagos and Abuja, which looks more parasitic a behaviour, and everybody expects the intimidated and cheated to make no muse about it. (2) even the peanuts given them in the guise of amnesty which was vissibly seen to quench their prior agitations had to be tampered with by the present administration while bills are being discused at the NAS to grant same amnesty to Bokoharam. A group that has for no justifiable reason, wasted many innocent lives and propertites. And as well, bills being passed to allocated huge amounts of the treasury to grazing of cows, which is by all implications, a business of the brothers of the new Sherif in town. (3) It was in clear terms stated after the election that brought Goodluck Jonathan to power in 2011, and I quote "we will make the Nation ungovernable for him." A statement that was dully implemeted with the sponsorship of Bokoharam, and premised propaganders during the campaigns that there is insecurity in the country wich the former president was unnable to curtail. A propagander that in all indications, ousted president Goodluck Jonathan out of office. And as a result However, even when him, the former president decleared a state of emmergency in the areas affected, he was called Brutal and all sorts of names. When he soft-pedalled, he was called weak and incompetent. And now that the new Sherif who trives on the back of propaganders has taken over the mantle, why should anyone blame the brothers of the former president for following the footprints of their perceived enemies? (4) the confab report wich was seen as the basis for equal rights for the federating units of the Nation was sidelined because it is seen as not being favourable to North by their kings-man who happens to be the president. In conclucsion, I conceive that what is going on in the Niger-Delta is a premise to the implementation of true fedralism which is the only means to peace in our hetrogineous association. You can only intimidate a people for a while, not forever.

Politics / Re: banning Fulani Herdsmen will lead to other big things – Ango Abdullahi by scorpio2013: 5:55pm On Jun 01, 2016
Encroachment and malicious damage are criminal offences. Move but don't kill anyone or destroy any property.
saiNDAvengers:
Former vice chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Ango Abdullahi, has said under the Nigerian Constitution, nobody can deny the Fulani herdsmen access to parts of the country.
According to Prof. Abdullahi, the Fulani herdsman is a businessman like any other business person, who should have free movement and free access to the resources that are available for him to run his business.

“And if for any reason, somebody in one section of this country will deny him access then we have to take measures to response to that. We are not saying that if a herdsman encroaches on a farm land and this has been the tradition here for years; when they do some crops get damaged and an assessment is made and they pay. So why all the petty attitude?

“I see what is happening today as a new dimension to political and ethnic cleansing that if not carefully handled may lead to other big things. The herdsman is a Nigerian his rights must be exercised as a Nigerian he has free movement like everybody else to pursue legitimate business and he cannot be denied access to any part of the country,” he added.
He further disclosed that, “I am a Fulani man my ancestors were in the bush, but we find reasons to settle in one place. I have cows and anytime they cause damage I pay compensation and so that is the way it will be.

“The Fulani man is a Nigerian he has rights like any other Nigerian he works freely to access legitimate economic resources of this country like land. Land is common thing for all Nigerians. In fact, what really amazes me there is no Nigerian I know that works as hard as a herdsman; he sleeps on the branches of trees he has no permanent abode, he toils day and night with his animals.”
