Politics / Re: "I Heard The Audio Inciting Northerners To Slaughter Igbos On Oct 1" – FFK by scorpio2013: 8:16pm On Jul 04, 2017
The man is a big joke.
SARMAT:
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has revealed alleged underground plans by the Northerners to slaughter Igbo people on October 1.

The former Minister via his Twitter handle made the claim Tuesday Morning, saying,

https://mobile.twitter.com/realFFK/status/882156784483434496

Fani-Kayode warned seriously that the move may lead to another civil war if nothing is done immediately.

This comes days after the Coalition of Arewa youths, expressed its readiness to back down on the quit notice issued to Igbos residing in the North .

Properties / Re: Understanding The Meaning Of Plots, Acres & Hectares In Figures by scorpio2013: 7:41am On Jun 26, 2017
One hectare is not 15 plots but 22 plots. If you agree that one plot is 50x100 ft (15x30m) then the area of one plot = 450sqms. If you multiply 450 by 15 what you get is not up to 10,000sqms by your own calculation. Please stop misinforming people.
mearsk:
Most people who purchase lands in Lagos do not even really understand the meaning of these important real estate terms. As a potential buyer wishing to buy a land or build a new house you must be conversant with a few of these figures. The first hurdle is to understand the system of land measurements in Nigeria.

In Nigeria today, land is measured in Hectares, Acres, Meters and Feet. These measurements are affected by factors, which includes development patterns, human and environmental factors.

Let’s Start By Asking What Exactly Is The Size Of A Standard Plot Of Land In Nigeria?

According to the dictionary meaning of a plot, A plot is a marked out piece of land for the purpose of building or farming. The word "plot" is an arbitrary term used to describe a land division carved out for property development.

The size of a plot of land can vary for different reasons but according to Nigeria's land divisions, the appropriate plot for a house construction is 50 x 100ft which can accommodate a standard house with a small compound. To better understand land divisions used in Nigeria, different units of area are used as follows:

Hectares (ha)

A hectare is one of the least known metric units and one which potential buyers and estate developers seems to struggle with - it is a land measuring 100m x 100m or 328ft x 328ft or 10,000sqm. It is about two and half acres. A Hectare consists of 15 plots.

Acre

An Acre is a standard unit of measurement used by land sellers and it is almost an equivalent to the size of a standard football field. An acre is a product of any rectangular plot of land giving a total of 4,046sqm or 43,560sq ft. An Acre consists of 6 plots each measuring 60 x 120ft.

In Lagos the standard size of a plot is 60 × 120ft (18m × 36m ie 648sqm), while in some other cities of the country plots are measured in 50 × 100 ft.

God bless you dear. You are very smart.
Skidoolina:
Found this online and decided to share:
The Ibos want Biafra
The North wants Ibo's exit
The Ibos are saying "we have investments in
your areas and cannot leave them"
And the fight is being cooked.
Amongst all these, the President is in London
Governors are sharing bailout funds
Workers salaries are not paid
Government officials have their children
schooling abroad
Ministers and senators are looting
The poor Hausa man is riding Okada
The poor Ibo man is riding Okada
The poor Yoruba man is riding Okada
The poor Hausa man sleeps under the bridge as
Alamajiri
The poor Yoruba man sleeps under the bridge
as Alaye
The poor Ibo man sleeps under the bridge as
agbero
It is pertinent to note that the poor from all
ethnic groups in Nigeria have everything in
common and so is the rich.
Do not allow the agitation of an Ibo man who
lives in UK or USA for Biafra cause the killing of
the Ibo man in Adamawa. The rich hate us that
much.
Do not allow the Alhaji whose children are living
abroad to persuade you to go and start killing
on the street of Kaduna.
The problem in the country is not the agitation
of any ethnic group but the unity of the elite
and the disunity of the masses.
How many times have you taken your agitation
to question your local government Chairmen?
Why have you not asked your Governors through
agitation how they spent bailout fund?
Why have you not agitated against that
government official whose mansions you go to
beg for help?
Sad to note;
All the Governors love themselves
All the past Presidents love themselves
All the senators love themselves
All the top government officials love themselves
All the looters love themselves
Why can't you and I love ourselves?
Why can we combine efforts and fight them?
Why do we fight ourselves?
Why do we allow them the freedom we don't
have?
Remember; a good Nigeria is better than a good
Arewa, Oduduwa or Biafra.
Happy Sunday.

Jewish Prophet Joshua Yanis has noted it is
inevitable to achieve Biafra without the
spilling of blood.
Yanis says the leader of the Indigenous
People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu's life
is in grave danger.
The clergyman says there are many elites
of the east who do not want the best for
Kanu, and will do anything to oust the
Radio Biafra director.
Yanis warned Nnamdi Kanu to be careful
the people he work with, shakes hands and
relate with, warning against politicians,
pastors and other prominent Nigerians that
are paying him visits.
n his Youtube video titled: “The future of
my people, Biafra,” Yanis said Kanu should
be careful and watchful as some people
that claim to be his friends may be out to
eliminate him.
Regarding Biafra attainment he said the
world is now aware of the Biafra people,
he said the movement has made a very
concrete statement.
The clergyman however noted that Biafra
will still take sometime before it is
actuialized.
He also stressed that there has to be
shedding of blood or else there won't be an
attainment of Biafra.

In a similar vein, a call has been made for
the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, following a

Politics / Re: What Does A Donald Trump Victory Mean For A Young Nigerian? by scorpio2013: 9:54am On Nov 24, 2016
From your write up, you are one of those people who have been brain washed by the corrupt media. DJT will be a more level headed but realistic leader than Obama in handling world affairs.
maestro2000:

[b]I was inside the banking hall of a first generation bank when CNN breaking news flashed DONALD TRUMP ELECTED PRESIDENT. I was shocked. I never thought he could defeat Hillary. A banker shook her head, “This is disaster. America’s gone crazy.”

I said to her, “the world just improved on his craziness. We Nigerians voted change and we do not seem sane. UK voted Brexit.” The banker agreed. I live in a country that has given me little and seems unclear of what she wants from me. I am a citizen of a country whose economy breathes on the availability of dollars. As I walked down the busy Awolowo Road, I thought of the implication of Trump’s victory on young Nigerians. Should the leader of the USA determine our fortunes?

America was tired of the ‘normal’ politician, so she voted an absolute abnormal, that’s America’s problem. Yet, it feels like Voldemort just won, and third world war is a strong possibility. Yes, it is possible. Donald Trump is America’s next President. Donald Trump is a crazy guy. Check history, Hitler existed.

If a third world war is not a worry for young Nigerians, please rethink. A little mistake from a world leader could trigger a coalition of terrorist to fight the world (terrorism is likely to take the place of anti-Semitism as reasons for invasions). Donald Trump does not seem like a man that has patience for diplomacy. If a war comes, what will Nigeria do?

A friend told me he was no longer interested in obtaining American visa. I asked why and he wondered if I had not heard that Donald Trump won. “I have,” I replied.

“Then you should know about his views on immigration.”

I did not know much. I had little interest in the American election until he won. I was one of those people who thought Republicans had given a wealthy and spoilt clown a chance to waste his money. I was wrong.

With Donald Trump coming to power, Nigerians can expect tougher visa application to the USA. Now the people at the American embassy can flex their muscles more and happily stamp ‘denied’ on visa applications. Getting to America just got interestingly harder. Meanwhile Nigerians in America worry that they may not get their visa extended. The man does not want Mexicans and Nigerians who have taken Americans’ jobs.

America is a very charitable country but my best friend disagrees, he believes their aid has never stemmed from altruism but a gain to retain the status of Big Brother to Africa and the world. For him, China and Russia are better for Africa. Under Donald Trump, African leaders should forget invitation to the White House unless America has something to gain from their country economically.

Beware! Our leaders may foolishly sell Africa to Trump’s America, right under our noses. Maybe, it is an exaggerated thought, but he is not interested in funding Africa’s problems. If we go by the words of Campaigner Donald Trump, Africa should forget the funding of her poverty. He will only do business with African countries that can contribute to making America great again, (are they not great already?).

America might also return to isolationism. New questions will come up. How much does Boko Haram affect US national security? Does Niger Delta bombing affect America’s economy? Will he care if Nigerians die because change is not working?

Donald Trump, ceteris paribus, will enter the White House as its new chief tenant in January. Based on his campaign, he will be more of an American President and less of a ‘world’ President.

Meanwhile…

I am still in Nigeria; the popular song is still change while the status quo remains.

How are they romancing northerners? Have most governors in the east since the advent of democracy not gone on countless sojourns to the united states to advocate for foreign investment? Have other governors from other states not done the same? And why have some succeeded and some have not? It is because of afonjas and gambaris abi?

Wife of embattled former minister and spokesperson of Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organization, Femi Fani-Kayode, Precious says the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) wants her husband dead.

Recall that Anti-graft agency had denied reports that that Femi Fani- Kayode slumped at their premises.
Precious who was recently detained in Ado-Ekiti by operatives of the EFCC said her husband is ill and need constant check up .

She insisted that her husband slumped on Saturday at the anti-graft agency’s custody.“Its very clear they want FFK dead at all cost. He is a man that would never give you the pleasure of seeing him down so saying he isn’t ill or never slumped on Saturday is just a way of trying to deny him medical attention. He is ill and constantly checks into the clinic at the Commission and you have seen the health reports. This is pure wickedness,” Precious said.

Meanwhile, EFCC said it is set to arraign both Fani-Kayode and Musiliu Obanikoro to court.

Properties / Re: Supreme Court Upholds Right Of Female Child To Inherit Properties In Igboland by scorpio2013: 9:36pm On Oct 08, 2016
Waste of time.Igbo men should buy their properties in their sons name in order to prevent hawks from using our light headed sisters to take their properties away from the family.
Abbeyme:
The Supreme Court has voided the Igbo law and custom, which forbid a female from inheriting her late father’s estate, on the grounds that it is discriminatory and conflicts with the provision of the constitution.

The court held that the practice conflicted with section 42(1)(a) and (2) of the 1999 Constitution. The judgment was on the appeal marked: SC.224/2004 filed by Mrs. Lois Chituru Ukeje (wife of the late Lazarus Ogbonna Ukeje) and their son, Enyinnaya Lazarus Ukeje against Mrs. Cladys Ada Ukeje (the deceased’s daughter).

Cladys had sued the deceased’s wife and son before the Lagos High Court, claiming to be one of the deceased’s children and sought to be included among those to administer their deceased’s father’s estate.

The trial court found that he was a daughter to the deceased and that she was qualified to benefit from the estate of their father who died intestate in Lagos in1981.

The Court of Appeal, Lagos to which Mrs. Lois Ukeje and Enyinnaya Ukeje appealed, upheld the decision of the trail court, prompting them to appeal to the Supreme Court.
In its judgment last Friday, the Supreme Court held that the Court of Appeal, Lagos was right to have voided the Igbo’s native law and custom that disinherit female children.

Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour, who read the lead judgment, held that “no matter the circumstances of the birth of a female child, such a child is entitled to an inheritance from her later father’s estate.

“Consequently, the Igbo customary law, which disentitles a female child from partaking in the sharing of her deceased father’s estate is breach of Section 42(1) and (2) of the Constitution, a fundamental rights provision guaranteed to every Nigerian.

“The said discriminatory customary law is void as it conflicts with Section 42(1) and (2) of the Constitution. In the light of all that I have been saying, the appeal is dismissed. In the spirit of reconciliation, parties to bear their own costs,” Justice Rhodes-Vivour said.

Justices Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen, Claral Bata Ogunbiyi, Kumai Bayang Aka’ahs and John Inyang Okoro, who were part of the panel that heard the appeal, agreed with the lead judgment.

NYSC / Re: A Year Experience With My Fellow Yoruba And Igbo Corpers. by scorpio2013: 4:08pm On Oct 06, 2016
In your imagination. Though you are right about Igbo ladies and Yoruba guys, they connect very well.
TooEasy:
It has been a great experience serving my fatherland. I was posted to Edo state to serve. By the way, I'm ezekiel from benue state, I'am graduate of history from Ahmadu Bello University. Fast forward to my PPA: my first day at my PPA, we were warmly welcomed and entertained lavishly by our senior corpers, so I decided to stay in the corpers lodge because the place is nice and well equipped. Though I was the only one from benue state among the corpers staying in the lodge, the population of yorubas and igbos were almost even, and we had 2 hausas. So life began with all the 3 ethnic groups living under thesame roof. So straight to the point.

WHAT I OBSERVED ABOUT THE YORUBAS.

1. Yorubas prefers to communicate in english most times when they are aware they have someone from another listening to them, at least one would know they won't sell him/her. Lol...
2. Yorubas are very good with constructive arguments, they argue with points without insulting and believe me, before you can win a yoruba man in an argument, you have a lot of work to do.

3. Yorubas are so difficult to predict! I think that's where their strength lies, you can't really know their mind especially if you've offended them before.
4. They are romantic! Its only a yoruba man you would see in our lodge that helps the ladies to loose their hair, watch their boring korean film with them even if they don't like it, stay with the ladies most times in the kitchen when cooking etc.
5. Yoruba guys and igbo girls have flair for each other: we always see them play, gist, party together. Some of them even dated. They are just kind of connected.
6. Its like Ekiti people (yorubas) are naturally notorious, I served with 3 of them, they are the ones that causes trouble in the lodge.

7. They like social activities like parties, sports etc.
8. And lastly they are naturally nice, accommodating and always ready to take up responsibility.

WHAT I OBSERVED ABOUT THE IGBOS.
1. Igbos does not know how to hide feelings. When they are angry you would know they are, and if they don't like you it means they don't like you.
2. Igbos are too predictable, you can easily know or guess what they would do.
3. Igbos are fun to be with. You would just be laughing whenever you are around them
4. Once an igbo woman loves you, it means she loves you and she does not bloody care about what people will say! "Mehn igbo women sabi love o" they are also attracted to yoruba guys!

5. Igbos like looking for trouble either jokingly or seriously. Lol...

6. Igbo men are not romantic: too serious, rigid and not flexible.

7. Igbo language is difficult to understand, mehn I tried my best but I could only grab few like gaanu koma, ndeewo etc.
8. And lastly, they are creative, open-minded and associate more with themselves. All I have to say is thank God for keeping my alive to witness another milestone. To all my NYSC friends: Rasheed, Japheth, Kosi, oliseh, okey, timilehin, I love you all.

I’d rather kill myself or kill us both.

Its five years and he just realizes he doesn’t want to marry me, how can people be this callous, whenever I got pregnant he would cajole me to abort it, saying it wasn’t the right time and things were not great for him financially, I just did another abortion two months ago now he doesn’t want to marry me anymore, I feel used and suicidal, I won’t go silently.

Talk2Bella.

My dear, you need to calm down and take it easy, don’t get worked up over nothing, not all relationships will lead to marriage, although he might have suggested the abortion you willingly went under the knife so don’t apportion blame to him alone.

Don’t kill yourself and don’t kill your boyfriend, it will help no one, what you should do for now is take time off, go somewhere, leave him be, start over, yes its hard and painful and might seem almost impossible but you will look back to this day and find out he never deserved you.

Just let him go, he’s not worth death or jail time.

Engineering is not guess work. You need to carryout a geological survey to determine the nature of subsoil, the level of water table and you must know the total load that will act on the foundation. With these information, a structural engineer will choose the right type of foundation with a suitable depth.quote author=DonFodio2 post=48897433] Are you a civil Engineer, builder or geologist or have knowledge of the following : What should be the foundation depth of a 10 storey (100feet) residential building? Use professionals noway.
lordkit400:
A six story building under construction as a hotel collapsed this morning on 444 Crescent , Citec Villas , Gwarinpa. The incident happened at about1.00 am.

Five laborers were trapped inside and three have been rescued by combined efforts of the Police, NEMA and FEMA.

The iron rods used for the pillars gave in like wood and the concrete work were said to be as brittle as ordinary sand. Efforts are still going on to rescue the two innocent laborers trapped under the rubble.

Yet you keep running to the east to marry.
Queseda:

These igbos are the most tribalistic and hate-filled people I've ever seen. Always priding themselves in some fable thoughts to just feel good about themselves. Always bad-mouthing others for no reason. I've travelled the length and breadth of this country and neighbouring countries and I tell you the Igbos are the worst people I have come in contact with.
They hate on other tribes, yet they are the ones who find it hard to stay in their region, just sit your ass in your region since you don't find anything good about other tribes. Their behaviour is really pathetic and I strongly believe their is something ìn their DNA that makes them behave as if they are some yet-to-evolve apes.
Nigeria will do herself a lot of good to actually let these people have their own country where they can keep their hatred and arrogance before they spread it to other people

Yes, there are issues stemming from a meeting over presenters fees yesterday, details of which I choose not to discuss, because of the respect I have for Mr Moussalli and his family, but trust me, it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Basket mouth or social media......."
