We have only had credible elections twice in Nigeria, 2011 and 2015 so don't base your analysis on 1999-2007 presidential elections.
krazykoons:
from the inception of Nigeria your people are perpetual slaves to all tribes, from the romance of azikwe with the sarduana,In 1999, you betrayed Ekwueme at the PDP primaries and voted Obasanjo at the elections.
In 2003, you betrayed your mini dog Ojukwu who contested under APGA and voted for Obasanjo of PDP.
during 2007elections you betrayed Orji Kalu an ibo man and voted for a Hausa Fulani Yar'Adua.
In 2011, you sang for Goodluck an ijaw man instead of Osita Okechukwu your son and blood
so young man look into the mirror and call the reflection you see a slave.
as for hating Yorubas we are used to your nonsense and your cane is placed nearby always ready.

as unfortunate as what I will say is, I am igbo. But unlike you I don't see hatred everywhere. I don't wanna be the sensitive igbo man who sees enemies eveywhere. The oba of lagos made a statement , a political statement which although wrong was taken out of context. Nnamdi made treasonable statements that should not be made in the century by anybody. When you say the yorubas have a dialliance with the fulani, what exactly do you mean.
I hate when references are made to imconsequential pieces of history which most people. Do not understand what went wrong there. As far as I am concerned , the yorubas despite their islamic inclination have no meaninful relationship with the north albeit a political one in this current structure. They understand the politics and have aligned themselves with powers at federal level. That the SESS hasn't been able to do that, should be our loss in this current nigeria. Enough of your propaganist hatred for the yoruba who are doing what we could have done to them if we had the same political onus and structure.

I seek a new nigeria comprising or northern nigeria and southern nigeria. The yoruba have more value in that structure after the SS and least the igbos. So whjat is ur problem withj people whose strategic alliance in a southern agenda will bring more good than bad. What exactly. Stop this propaganda of hatred for slight issues that borders on ignorance

God punish all Yorubas, Igbos, minorities of the middle belt and Niger Delta who do not do all they can against this Grazing Laws. If Igbos and Yorubas and the rest of us do not unite against this law, we deserve to be slaughtered. How can a bill that will hand a NGRC commission a right to take any land anywhere for cow get to second reading? Are we crazy? Where on this earth do cows have such rights?)

THE CRAZY GRAZING BILL - MICHAEL DEDON
The proposed Grazing Bill for Fulani herdsmen is an invitation to anarchy in an already volatile country like Nigeria. The Bill is already before the National Assembly and has successfully scaled through second reading in both the Senate and the House of Representatives. All that is left in the legislative process to make it a law is a 3rd reading, that is, a clause by clause debate and then assent by the President. The proposed piece of legislation is full of unconstitutionalities, ethnic discriminations, fundamental human rights violations, religious tenets violations, conspicuous criminal omissions and unforgiveable legislative indiscretions.
The full title of the Bill is, AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE NATIONAL GRAZING RESERVE (ESTABLISHMENT AND DEVELOPMENT) COMMISSION FOR THE PRESERVATION AND CONTROL OF NATIONAL GRAZING RESERVES AND STOCK ROUTES AND OTHER MATTERS CONNECTED THEREWITH.
The Bill’s concluding explanatory memorandum says that the Bill seeks to provide for, among other things, the establishment of the National Grazing Reserve Commission of Nigeria, for the preservation and control of national grazing reserves and stock routes in the country. Its key provisions and high points include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. To establish a National Grazing Reserve Commission (NGRC), a body corporate.
2. The NGRC may acquire, hold, lease or dispose of any property, moveable or immoveable for the purpose of carrying out its function.
3. The NGRC shall have a governing Council headed by a Chairman appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate with members representing the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Water Resources, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environment,Housing and Urban Development, the National Commission for Nomadic Education and shall also have a Director General.
4. To raise monies by way of grants, loans, borrowing, subsidies and donations.
5. The following lands may be subject to the provisions of the Act to be constituted as National Grazing Reserves and Stock Routes:
(a) Lands at the disposal of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
(b) Any lands in respect of which it appears to the Commission that grazing in such land should be practiced.
(c) Any land acquired by the Commission through purchase, assignment, gift or otherwise howsoever.
6. State Governments shall be given notice first before land acquisition and gazetting.
7. The Commission shall pay compensation to persons affected by any land acquisition.
8. There shall be no improvements, encroachment, bush burning, hunting, use of chemicals and felling of trees by anyone inside lands acquired and demarcated as National Grazing Reserves or Stock Routes.
9.Contravention of any of the provisions in (cool above shall be punishable by a fine of N50,000 or 5 years imprisonment or both.
10. No Court of law shall carry out execution of its judgment or attachment of court process issued against the Commission in any action or suit without obtaining the prior consent of the Attorney General of the Federation.
11. For the time being, the Commission shall report to the Honorable Minster for Agriculture and Water Resources.
12. Native communities referred to in the Bill shall be any group of persons occupying any lands in accordance with, and subject to native law and custom.
....the list then goes on. Please, call all your senators and house of reps members and ask them as a matter of urgency to reject the enactment of this evil bill.

Politics / Re: Lagos-Calabar Supposed Rail Route Crossing Into SE Is A FAT LIE!!! by scorpio2013: 3:07pm On Apr 14, 2016
The traffic between lagos and Kano is much more than that of Calabar to lagos. It is also important to connect the hinter land area of kano to a city like lagos with major seaports.
obailala:
That is exactly my point, I am shell shocked at the reactions of 'some' people who claim to be from the SE and SS and who claim to be defending the interests of the zones since this saga broke. I am very much opposed to the fact that the coastal rail project is being jeopardised and the funds diverted to the Lagos-Kano rail. I expected people of the SE and SS to naturally fight for this injustice to be immediately reversed, and the budget for the coastal rail returned. But that obviously is not the case, most have turned it into a Yoruba vs Igbo tribal war and I am greatly shocked at the reactions I have seen so far which drives me to wonder how any normal human would chose to cut their head off to spite their nose.

If the project funds were diverted to fund seaports or other viable projects in the regions, then it is understandable, but for crying out loud, the funds were diverted to the Lagos-Kano line and some silly constituency projects in the north. My dear, the proverb you dropped is more suited for you and your colleagues who aren't speaking in favour of the reversal of this mess.

Come to think of it, what is the volume of trade or even human traffic between south south and south west. What can you take from Calabar to south west to justfy this project?quote author=uduak2016 post=44681147]I have seen numerous doctored drawing of the Lagos-Calabar Rail route supposedly crossing into SE...THIS IS A LIE! SW people are employing this shenanigan to resurrect the project by deceiving SE people that the Rail will cross into SE..precisely at Onitsha! This is a fathom Lie! I'm getting accurate information from someone at the National Assembly that the real reason why they excise the project from the primary budget is...MARGINALIZED SE; WILL NOT CROSS INTO SE. Indirectly speaking, when you marginalized SE, you marginalize SS economically as both regions trade more compared to other regions. So rather, they moved to Supplementary Budget...explanation below!

You people have to understand how Federal Budget works...Every region has a stipulated amount cap they can submit in the budget; If SS primarily and SE did allow this project into the main budget, then SS will be short-changed heavily... why? Because 80 Billion Naira cost; China footing 20 billion naira actually, if apportioned between SW and SS is a huge cost for SS... when compared to SW, where Federal Budget for Lagos only is total of all SS; The senators having done their cost-benefit analysis of the project for SE and SS, came to the conclusion that it wasn't feasible and will not be beneficial to SE and SS. So rather than have the project in the main budget which will mean removing critical, life-changing projects in SS in order to accommodate it, they agreed and chose to move it to the supplemental budget at no cost to SS, where the president by discretion/executive leverage chooses projects to fund with federal funds...more like earmarked funds! The question now becomes...Will Buhari include the project in his supplementary budget? I doubt because he would have to remove 80 billon naira worth of projects in the North for his people to include it because he has a cap too...that's what SS and SE senators want him to do...Lol! Smart game by Eastern senators as it would be a win-win for the region! Even Ameachi consented to this by moving it to the supplemental!

To SW people...stop selling lies to us. Please stop! The project wasn't removed as has been circulating online with deceptive doctored route into SE but rather was moved from main budget to supplementary. We are not against the project, we...SW, SS and SE all want the project but has to be funded via supplementary budget only in order not to bankrupt SS...SE is just looking after SS!

Below is the actual image of the Lagos-Calabar Rail route by the Nigeria Coastal Railway...as you can see, it doesn't cross into SE as they are claiming. Their intent behind this deceptive, doctored supposed rail crossing into SE...is to deceive SE to support the project! Our SE and SS senators are not stu$pid...they analyzed the project critically on its benefits to SE and SS. None for now to have it in the main budget!
