Not even to reboot.

There is double tap to wake in MiUi but not to sleep. If device is rooted, more options can be added sha.
I just felt the simplest and easiest route are the best for average users and less techie people.

This is one of those useful tips that ensure your devices are still in optimum shape and operability after a long time of use.
It has to do with the power/lock button, this button is arguably the button we press most daily and in general, throughout the life span of our various devices. So, to avoid it getting bad i.e very slow and hard to respond to depression, utilize the two features below on your device instead of pressing the power button.

1.Lock button on Notification/status bar
2. Lock widget

I get the thrill of being in control of one's device and the satisfaction that comes with hopping from one rom to another but at the end of the day stock ROM is much more stable than Custom rom and this isn't limited to MIUI only. Where the godamn time?

Damn! I miss my LG G2 embarassed

that device was way ahead of its time, it had one of the best screen to body ratio on a phone even till now. Still have the device neatly tucked somewhere, though it's not coming up again.

My issue with Sony is about battery life now. They have a new sturdy design that passed the bend test in flying colors, i can forgive the unnecessary bezels but i'm not convinced that any battery lower that 3300mAh is adequate on a flagship chipset unless it's Apple.

I know that Samsung is making a s8/s9 mini to compete against iPhone SE2 but that would most likely be overpriced like the Se 2 as much as they like to call it budget phone.

I think this Nokia X6 might be the perfect blend between compact body and screen real estate. It's shorter and thinner than the Note 4X. What do you think?

For the estimated price quoted on gsmarena of 200 eur, it is actually not bad for the price but I personally don't know if I would like this notch of a thing, maybe if I get to handle a phone with the implementation sha cheesy

The thing is, it is kinda hard going down from 4000mah to 3000mah, you would have gotten used to superb battery life especially on an efficient phone like Redmi Note 4.

What do you think about Sony XZ2 Compact size, is it too small. I feel that's a size that Apple is targeting with the iPhone SE2 even if not a lot of people love it.

I really respect sony and their design philosophy over the years, they don't follow the crowd like zombies. Though I must confess their incessant likeness for bezels is something else, check out the upper and bottom bezel of the XZ2 compact grin

they could have made the screen a 5.3" in diagonal at 18:9 at least even with that same external frame.
And apple, they are like those rich brats we don't know what we can do about, if them do 2" phone people go rush am angry

but it is refreshing to see one or two big players in the industry still thinking about people like us with midget hands cheesy

I just hope Xiaomi go reason our matter soon with all this their 5.99" 18:9 phones angry

Note: my sweet spot will be a phone with a 5.5" 18:9 with very slim bezels, must be 1080p too, 3600mAh and a variant of the very recent 6** soc will be okay.

Of course I do, OEMs are moving with times which is the 18:9 display ratio at the moment and there is nothing we can do about this sadly. We either adapt or stay put with the devices we have currently. You can do other brands with 16:9 ratio( you'd hardly find one out there) if you don't like the specs of redmi 5 though.

A reasonable reply! I am just a sucker for MiUi, I have grown accustomed to it over the one year I have used my Redmi Note 4.

This doesn't in any way relate to the matter on ground! I can see you're just trying to be witty as usual. But if this particular reply was based on the past arguments we had on camera issue, I am very sure people who have used the Gcam mod can testify to the improvement over the stock camera.

and please don't recommend the redmi 5, the components are too watered-down, especially the battery capacity and screen resolution.
Xiaomi took one step forward and two steps backwards on the redmi 4(prime) to redmi 5 upgrade.

Before some of you start lecturing me on how HD+ screen will be okay on the battery for redmi 5, kindly remember the redmi 4 prime didn't exactly fair better than the redmi note 4 with the same processor, same battery capacity and with an advantage on the screen front i.e. 5" 1080p to 5.5" 1080p.

If na better quality you dey find, the 1080p x265 should suffice while the 720p x265 is not bad either, and 1.2GB should be enough for the former while half of that should be okay for the latter.

Most Samsung devices(even low budget) are at least 1080P AMOLED. N5A uses a 720P IPS.

You end up paying exorbitant prices at calcare centres just to get your device fixed which are supposed to be on warranty.
In case of Xiaomi and other interesting brands, you can order replacement parts from china and get it fixed by experienced phone technicians with chikini money here in Nigeria.
And an added bonus is the Xiaomi thread in phone section, selfless individuals are ready to help you with any problem you might face.

Is your phone unlocked? Is it rooted? Is camera2api enabled? If No is the answer to any of these questions, then you need to check one or two of my previous posts on how to go about unlocking, rooting and enabling camera2api.
If you've passed the stages above, all you need to do is trial and error (keep installing and reinstalling), you can also join this group on telegram:
