EducationRe: My Son Cannot Sleep As His Degree Exams Approach, Can Anybody Please Help? by sd6: 7:33pm On Feb 21, 2012
It is very possible the family or someone has put a lot of pressure upon him to deliver best results at the exams. Its also possible his friends or relatives have had impressive results and he feels his present preparations and standing may not replicate contemporary feats. And because hes young, he thinks its gloomy. Ease him of performance pressure and let him know he doesnt have to be best or like any other person. He should mix study with leisure and not think about not sleeping, he'd surprise how much sleep awaits him especially when exams are close. A symptom of anxiety is insomnia and resultant weakness from lack of sleep.

I have passion for banking and corporate world. Because i dont have work experience i feel the bank had always been my dream but everybody says job security is important. So do i leave my passion for job security?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Help! Good Bank Or Govt Job by sd6(op): 10:47am On Feb 19, 2012
The problem is that i have this flair for the corporate world but the manner people are sacked in the banks is a cause for concern. The govt job, especially the exams body is really not my thing but people are really telling me about its security.

EducationRe: Business Management Versus Business Law Which Holds Better Prospects by sd6: 7:42am On Feb 14, 2012
I believe she probably favours business law however business management offers wider opportunities and openness to employment in Nigeria. And again shes not that 'bad' with figures; i've seen worse people do better.

PoliticsRe: Fashola Tackles Dosunmu, Randle At Debate by sd6: 2:59pm On Mar 03, 2011
Gentleman please could you at least retract that 'rubbish' in your response. There are other ways of expressing disapproval. Do you understand beautification to mean development? Development is an all encompassing process where almost all aspects of human life and existence are positively affected. Dear fellow, take a look at the most 'beautiful' cities in the country and compare their costs of living. Agreed, there are places where such costs are unavoidable. But with the highly commercial nature of lagos and by African standards, galvanizing the resources into even development while accommodating the vast majority of the people, would be key to the development of lagos. Instead of an overzealous acceleration of society concepts of neatness, serenity in quest for national or international reputation. The indices of performance seeks to determine how many people have been economically empowered. Thats why we use per capita income in the analysis of development. Not the neatness nor serenity.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Tackles Dosunmu, Randle At Debate by sd6: 12:16pm On Mar 03, 2011
A lot of the shallow minded commentators forget that absolute power has its excesses. If Fashola is unable to show decorum, it boils down to arrogance. Such arrogance has proclivity to selective victimization. Accountability has no relative connotations and as such the people are entitled to intricate information about contracts. What has any of the candidates said about economic empowerment? You would deduce that while bola tinubu did less on beautification, he allowed for more economice existence of all facets of the society. If by beautification and crave for serenity, people lose jobs and sources of sustenance, such serenity and beauty becomes counter-productive. For the necessities of life are that of survival which must be paramount in scale of preference. Though i'd admit that lagos leads the way for othes states, but such achievements are not just the efforts of one man. Concern must be given to the people and also with respect. Thats the true meaning of leadership.
HealthRe: You Dont Have To Be Mad To See A Psychiatrist by sd6: 9:35am On Mar 01, 2011
thanks again
This started during my NYSC. I had issues with a lot of people and the environment was prone to violence. i continuously was anxious of being violently engaged. i had these angry and indignant feelings piled up in me. Again the environment was not conducive as the weather was a far cry from where i had stayed all my life. it was also secluded and lacked the vivacity of my previous exposure. Suddenly i felt ill with breathing problems and gastro-intestinal problems. This led to series of hospital visits making me to WORRY CEASELESSLY about health complications. such worry i believe led me thinking i was having serious health complications until i was diagnosed with GAD. i'll be happy to hear what you think.
HealthRe: You Dont Have To Be Mad To See A Psychiatrist by sd6: 7:57am On Feb 26, 2011
Again you have spoken very well especially acknowledging that people may not understand its impact on one's health. Even family members expect me to have perfectly recuperated. The challenge is that i envisage that if i sat in the office and am given responsibilities, i'd be tensed up with being skeptical as to my ability to deliver. Bt getting back myself is the real issue cuz while i cud stay anywhere relaxed(nt working), i seem to panic when staying the same place to work like in an office. I kinda like open places. But am wont to believe that its a gradual process where recuperation is stage by stage. I may have to see the psychiatrist about CBT. Depersonalization was part of the symptoms and has taken longer time to subside. Again, am very appreciative of your insightful contributions and submissions.
HealthRe: You Dont Have To Be Mad To See A Psychiatrist by sd6: 7:34am On Feb 24, 2011
Ofcourse it does help to know u care. Am in Nigeria and i have been seeing a psychiatrist. Those physical symptoms are no longer a problem. Just the fear that if i got to work i would experience a relapse. Could you please enlighten me on depersonalization disorder? Thanks again, for your concern.

Having suffered from generalized anxiety disorder and 'depression', i found out that am increasing anxious and scared of havin a job or working cuz am scared i could mess up or have panic attacks at work though its been over a year i last had the experience and over three months i withdrew from imipramine. Ordinarily am ok bt thinking of working, i get anxious. I'd like to hear from u. Thanks

Thank you radical. I knw dat I offended my husband but d fault is not entirely mine. My husband also have his blame too. He was not catering 4 me nd my unborn child. I saw hell durin my pregnancy nd d memory ll remain evergreen nd if not for God nd my lover,I wud hav died durin my son's delivery. I ve 4given my husband 4 his nonchalant attitudes but can neva 4get it. So d option of goin back 2 him can neva b considerd. BusinessRe: Abc Transport " The Worst Transport Company In Nigeria" by sd6: 8:10am On Nov 27, 2010
Am amazed by the lack of empathy by fellow compatriots. Is travelling at night a crime? What if it was an interview? What if he hadn't money to travel by air? He/she paid abc to arrive wednesday and they didn't deliver; thats incompetence and contract breach. Abc is increasingly becoming non-chalant in its services to passengers and customers. An enlightened society must show her dissatisfaction with poor service delivery and not blame her citizens for their inability to afford luxury. That is an element of value for citizenship and humanity.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Dumps Ribadu, Opts For Buhari. . . Eyes Vp Slot by sd6: 8:45pm On Nov 08, 2010

PoliticsRe: A Lesson From Chile As They Rescue Trapped Miners. by sd6(op): 1:23pm On Oct 13, 2010
This is not a case of comparism, its a case of disaster and emergency management. Its a matter of how prepared ur country is to respond to emergencies if and when they do occur. You must understand that this depends on the value a nation, especially its government attaches to humanity and lives of the citizenry.
PoliticsA Lesson From Chile As They Rescue Trapped Miners. by sd6(op): 11:06am On Oct 13, 2010
What an emotional experience as i watch the Chile miners' rescue; its God's miracle. A show of Chile's value for humanity, life and citizenship and accomodation; spending millions of dollars to rescue trapped miners. And am pushed to ask myself, what if it was Nigeria, would such value be attached to people's ordeal or would they have been abandoned and left for dead? Its also important to know that Chile's independence celebration concentrated on the trapped miners as the government was deeply concerned with their(miners') welfare and rescue.
What about Nigeria's independence celebration? Did Nigeria remember the flooding in Jigawa or did they not forget that of lead poisoning that killed hundreds of children. What about other pressing issues? The poor medical facilities in the country killing young and old? Lets learn a lesson from this; that we can only develop when we attach more value to life and humanity.
