Politics › Re: No tenure elongation for Rivers LG Chairmen - Appeal Court strikes out suit by seanfer(m): 11:53am On Jul 08, 2024 |
So some people were expecting the appeal court to validate the abuse of power by Wike's houseboy Martins Amaehule? The law is against the 1999 constitution that stipulates 3 years for elected LGA chairman. |

phantom: 😂... shebi we've said it that the journey is far for the 27 lawmakers..😂 they won a battle in a long war.
Oko jumbo has taken the case to the supreme court to rule on JURISDICTION not the substantive suit. He knows fully well that the supreme court will agree with the appeal. All to buy time.. politics is deep! Las las opposition no easy sha..... its even more painful when you are playing opposition in your own party... 😂..
Fubara take style be winch sha... 😂 With all the court cases and judgement flying up and down.... There is no way Amaehule and 24 others will scale through this hurdles except they seek for political solution.. I wish and hope they learn their mistakes already and seek for the Rivers people forgiveness. |

APC is very good at this kind of tactics. When PDP used the same tactics 2019 in Rivers state, they didn't know they're setting precedence. |

He was appointed Caretaker chairman more than 3 times before he contested the LGA election 2 times. Today same Nwanosike is the one saying he will not vacate the office. |

NaijaCowFarm: Are you not the one deluded here? Go and ask people in Warri how far! Your region has been experiencing killings on a weekly basis, you never deem it right to write any epistle on how that is affecting the economy of the region. But here you're so obsessed with Lagos State just because of 2 incidents and you're here writing your imagination. How many people were killed in Anambra last Friday when gunmen attacked the vigilantes? Did you write about that? What did you write about the self imposed sit at home in the East? |

Till date has that ingrate, lawless and clueless neophyte called Fubara complied with the judgement? You guys like to cherry pick.

Who told you the governor has the power to extend the tenure of elected local government chairmen?
The problem is that most of you gullible supporters are ignorant. They are not going anywhere, since RISIEC refused to conduct an election and the legislators have already done the needful. Are you aware that there is a court judgement already against the bill passed by Amaehule and his members. The bill was against the 1999 constitution and till date no appeal on that court ruling. |

ElSudani: The problem with zik is similar to what we experience with Ibos today. They always want to go the opposite way on everything with Yoruba, whether it is in their interest or not is secondary. Inferiority complex, always want to claim superiority over others. And when things don't go their ways, they start claiming the victims. |

mrvitalis: So zik was not even the one that made the decision, he only debated in favour of it? The final decision was in the hands of a Brit... Who had already made up his mind not to include succession before zik debated?
If they can change national anthem they can change the Constitution this is not even a debate Who opposed the inclusion of secession in our constitution? NNAMDI AZIKIWE. Without him opposing it, we won't be where we are today and the civil war pf 1967 would have been avoidable. |
