Don't be like this.. the affidavit was everywhere last month. It was written boldly that he graduated in 1976.. And in 2016 the Dan orbih's chambers wrote to the Federal High court in Abuja and they deny issuing the affidavit.. The PDP lost the case because it was filled outside the 14 days as enshrined in the electoral act.

Thanks for the well detailed explanations. This case is not about the PDP primary. But what the person the party is sponsoring submit to INEC.

The 14 days expired on July 9. I don't know the date this was filed.

If you read the court papers. INEC is the First respondent. And the case has to do with the forms submitted to INEC. If you count the day the case was initiated and the day PDP Submitted the form to INEC, then you will see that it is within the 14 days.

I think this case is just to rattle Obaseki and/or Shaibu if indeed they did something funny. Other than that, its just merry-go-rounding for the following reasons:

-The case is past 2 weeks the date of the PDP Primaries, hence cannot qualify as a pre-election case (unless we follow Ekwo's reason on Nwosu).

- If its brought as a civil or criminal case, the Governor and his deputy have immunity so are under no obligation to attend proceedings or even enter appearances. The case will however amount to nothing until they no longer have that immunity.

- This case, one way or the other, would have come up at the tribunal where the real case lies.

So, the elections and then the TRIBUNAL (if Obaseki wins) is where I am looking towards.

The one standing trial over 700 million is not above the law.

We will still witness massive defections from PDP few days to the election, if the courts didn’t disqualify PDP from the race because of the 2 court cases against the candidates.

That’s the same thing PDP did to APC in Bayelsa. If this Case should get to Supreme Court, I don’t see how Obaseki and his Deputy can survive the same treatment given to Lyon in Bayelsa. Interesting times ahead.
