Fixed my traditional wedding ceremony for May 2nd, but the ban on gathering made us change the date... We had less than 20 people in attendance on June 7.. Those that were meant to travel from lagos joined us on Zoom and it was fun.... Me and my wife saved hundreds of thousands... This Covid-19 reset our brain sharply....

You’re just exaggerating this. The election will be a fierce contest between the 2 leading parties. As it stands now the biggest rigger will be declared winner. Worst case what happened in Osun and Kano will repeat itself.

It’s good that the contractor is also Abia Indigene. I hope those blaming the North and other regions will start holding the saboteurs among them to account for all the money they’ve embezzled.

All the defendants are biding by the order of the court. Until the case is heard on Thursday nothing they can do.
It’s funny you’re claiming no order restrain Obaseki but you’re supporting the order given to Gaidom without the knowledge of the plaintiff which is Salisu.

UPDATE: After careful perusal of the court papers, I have discovered that the court is yet to restrain Gov Obaseki from participating from the PDP Primaries. The prayers of the applicant on page 1 are different from the Orders of Court granted on page 2.

The court restrain all the defendants until the case is heard on 24 June. It’s certain another adjournment might happen on Thursday and Obaseki won’t have time to appeal for stay of Execution. I think it is the PDP bigwigs that are behind the case they don’t want to come out to tell Obaseki he can’t be their candidate.

I made this comment yesterday not knowing that there’s a plan underground.

This is funny.... The Gaidom backed APC are relying on court order.. Now they are going against the court order that is not in their favour.... The state High court ruled that Ima Aguma should be the CTC chairman of the party in Rivers, what is expected of them is to approach the court to set aside the ruling.

Won’t there be Appeal committee? Or I’m missing something?

There will be serious implosion after the primary because I can see that PDP have it planned to send Obaseki’s name to INEC irrespective of the primary election outcome, reason why the election will be hold 2 days to the deadline. No room for the contestants to appeal after the Romany election.

As usual the wailing wailers, won't see this until after Obaseki is removed as Gov & the petitioner sworn in, they will, start shouting Supreme court Gov.

If PDP field Obaseki as their flag bearer I see serious legal battle ahead.
He joined the party after the timeline for purchase of nomination form and screening has closed. This alone can be contest in court and if it goes against the primary election timeline the court will have no choice than to rule him ineligible to participate.
And one of the contestant might explore this avenue in future.

Still as governor Obaseki should have shown a good example once crowd exceeds 20 people.

The Order he signed didn’t give room for anything like impromptu gathering. He has gone against his law and I don’t think he can stop others from going against it also. Not when he’s not in control of the police.
The APC primary is not going to be hold in a stadium. It will be hold in all the 192 polling wards. PDP will gather more than 5,000 inside the stadium for her primary. They will travel from all their base to Benin. The Governor should pratice what he’s preaching.

I’m not been partisan here. How do you explain the over 100 crowd at the Edo PDP state office on Friday with Obaseki himself. Did he do anything to them? Or he’s the emperor

The CP was wrong trying to stop the movement of the Deputy Governor, and the higher authority should punish the CP to prove that this is not supported by them.
But WIKE is not the right person to cry victim in 2014 same WIKE spearheaded the same thing against Amaechi who was the Governor then. During one of Wike’s campaign in 2015 he boasted of how all land,air and sea borders will be closed in Rivers state once INEC declared GEJ the winner of the election, so that Amaechi won’t escape all he did to GEJ.
He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.
