But then you don't care. It's best if they shelve their negative opinion about him because girls that I know are always wild when they are in love, some can be foolish though and consent to their parents' opinions and mess up. I knew a girl who once told me she loved me so much but if her mom tells her not to marry me because of my tribe(Igbo, she's a Yoruba), she had no choice but to stop the relationship. I must say, right then at that spot she said it, I put an end to the relationship because it wasn't worth the stress with that statement.
I dont call that LOVE.

FamilyRe: Ladies: Can You Be A Housewife? by SeanT21(op): 1:00am On Jun 21, 2009
the average family isn't earning "enough" income. there are always opportunities to improve ones financial situation.
even obama's wife is a career woman. lol
but if I were married to a millionaire , . . hmm I wouldn't want to be a full time housewife but my work hours will be a lotttttttt shorter. lol so you got a point there
and yes, it's all about choice. some women enjoy being housewives some don't. it all boils down to choice I guess.
Very TRUE!!

Who do u respect more?? A housewife or a wife with a JOB?? Will U not find it annoying when the women keep coming 2 u for all her needs?? Plus, what kind of lesson are U teaching your daughter(s)??
FamilyRe: Ladies: Can You Be A Housewife? by SeanT21(op): 12:18am On Jun 21, 2009
nothing is broken down about uk societies either. maybe u meant single parent families.
IMO families with career parents are the most successful (with both parents involved in the upbringing of the child rather than leaving the task to just the mother).

women don't have the right to self fulfulment you mean? only men do?
imagine yourself dependent on somebody to do everything you need. even to buy sanitary pads or tampons u have to ask ur husband. that's a sad life to live IMO. some women prolly enjoy that but lipsrsealed
I know right!!

Planning for what? Not you.

Remember when you stubbornly told me to be content with the fact that you hate me? I took it to heart and obliged.
I meant Planning in general naa.

N Thats a LIE!! undecided

noetic2:
This is not a dogmatic issue.

While the lady might feel fulfilled to be a career woman, there is bound to be neglect of the kids, the husbands/family needs are hardly met and the family's future/peace is threatened. At least this in my opinion is the basis for the broken society in UK today.

A woman should work, if the hubby does not earn enough to cater for day to day needs and future savings. when What she earns is needed for the strength of the family. But when she works out of self fulfilment, and the hubby can afford her bills, then she is sitting on a time bomb.

why work because ur husband might dump u in future? why even go into a marriage with that mindset? Every marriage is different, the individuals are different and so are circumstances. Me dont think dogma's help in marriages.
I am not saying a women should go into marriage with that mindset. I am saying that "if" it happens then she will be able to have the exact same lifestyle she had when married.I see a bunch of ladies that fall into financial trouble after divorce because they were living of their husbands.

NICE CONTRIBUTION!!
