Avoid Overthinking

Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Matthew 6:34

In 1986 Grace lost her child to an ailment. It was the beginning of a trauma filled life as she constantly lived in the fear of loosing people close to her. She had developed a high blood pressure condition and was constantly on medication due to her new habit of fretting.

Adversity can hit anyone uninformed and make people slide down the path of worry. We worry about our jobs, our children, our husbands, wives, finances. Sometimes what constitution worry in a person's life may not be a serious issue but because of the attitude of worrying it can cause some unforseen issues.

The Bible encourages us not to worry. Giving example of the plants that do not sow how they are wonderfully clothed. How much more we humans made in the image of God Almighty.
When faced with worrying situations the right step is to pray for God's intervention and let our hearts be at rest. God wants us to leave our fears in his hands because he has us covered.

Worry shows lack of faith in God's wisdom and a lack of trust in God's power. If your heart is set on God he will surely provide for you

talk about it

Is there a situation keeping you worried?

How have you learned to deal with it?

Key Point: Worry robs you of tomorrow's joy and effectiveness

Prayer: Lord help me to hand over my worries to you and leave tomorrow for itself.

Politics / Re: Wale Edun's Plans To Improve The Nigerian Economy by InvertedHammer: 11:26am On Feb 24

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNf97-hy7Gw

Our Finance Minister, Mr. Wale Edun, who is responsible for fiscal policy, appeared on ChannelsTV to share his plans to improve the Nigerian economy:

1) Giveaways. He spent half of his time talking about giveaways. He feels most of the excess naira in circulation has gone to the rich, so he wants to share more excess naira with the poor as well. 🤐

2) To plug revenue leakages by channelling all revenue directly to the FG and disbursing expenditures directly to intended recipients without intermediaries who might embezzle the money. ✔️

3) To increase tax collection by 70% this year without increasing tax rates and eliminating some types of tax that are unnecessary. ✔️

4) He want to pay back Ways & Means by looking for new sources of revenue. I felt that his explanation of how that would be achieved was vague. It's unlikely to happen after CBN's data showed an increase in W&M. ❌

5) Collaborating with CBN by increasing interest rates to attract FPI. I find this to be short-sighted if attracting hot money is the perceived benefit of raising interest rates and not the reduction of inflation, & FDI. Also, our real interest rates are still negative, so how will this work? ❌

Overall, Mr Edun has some decent ideas but his overall plan is inadequate to solve our problems.

I recommend inviting the economists who spoke at Proshare's Economist Conference to Abuja for a retreat where they can help him to develop a comprehensive plan that might actually work.
/
Nonsense talk from a textbook economist.

How can you increase tax on people and businesses who are barely surviving? They will pack up as we are currently experiencing.
The money supply is too much leading to high inflation. Why increase the money supply and at the same time talking about curbing inflation?

Away from the textbooks, let’s apply common sense.
1. Fix the refineries as a matter of urgency and stop fuel importation. Nigeria can be self-reliant in energy.
2. Ensure 24/7 electricity supply. This will support a lot of business and cut down on the cost of doing business. Buying diesel at N1500/liter is a dreamkiller.
3. Fix the roads.
4. Ban importation of non-essential commodities.

These four actionable plans can be done in 1 year by a serious government. Giving handouts and doing giveaways are not economic plans one would expect from a so-called “seasoned” economist.

It is not a case of if. The first thing you need to understand here is worship and religion are used interchangeably sometimes. Oya Jesus wetin you talk about this matter...

Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

James you dey among Jesus disciples, wetin you think....

Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Not to associate anything with him like....

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

When God said the above through Micah was he talking from the aspect of one being a Christian, a Muslim, a Trinitarian? grin grin grin grin

You should understand that all these religious organization and their beliefs have similarities. Start separating shadows and face reality.

Another non issue, thousands of concept have been developed using the bible and other religious books. Is Reno the first person to say trinity is man made? Does your belief in trinity or not negate the statements in John 4:22,23 James 1:27 Micah 6:8. Stop chasing shadows grin grin grin grin

This pastor rapper 😆.

Religion is deep and can be confusing and there's always a verse in the Bible to back anything up which makes it more confusing sometimes

If Jesus never preached about religion but strictly about God and not to associate anything with Him, it's the same thing Islam preaches, so where did the idea of religion emanated from?

He said Trinity is manmade, I have somehow never believed in this trinity thing though.

Have you seen the thread on frontpage?

Just NL filled with people who don't know them. See the comments there, and you'll imagine what those she is accusing will say again.

She just gave them more to talk about. I cannot bring a fight to my own birthday party. I go clear you for outside; not on my own show

Like i said, it is her tribute. If she like, make she list the names.

Watch how they pounce on her from tomorrow, and Aketi would not be around to defend her.

Whatever anybody is saying does not change how she feels na. People judge others based on what they think they know .

She already knows Aketi is not around to defend her since the day he breath his last . She knows her accusers and they know her . They didn't hide mouth to criticize her and make a show out of her pain; she also didn't mince mouth to call them out the last time she has the Opportunity . The governor most likely has a copy of the programme and has seen himself being called out in the tribute .

I don't fault her for going all emotional on the tribute considering how they've made her emote in the last few weeks/months .

If u see some of the videos they made about her on TikTok; u will understand where she's coming from.

I can't imagine someone blaming my mum who was with my dad 24/7 on his sick bed for his eventual death . I wouldn't know whether I will cuss the person, throw a punch at him or use area boys commot all him teeth .

Some lines should not be crossed and some of those ediots crossed it and even wan build duplex for the crossing line 🤦‍♂️

They may have issues with her as a First Lady ; but they never respected her husband even in death because of her ; so I believe they deserve whatever bile she has for them in return

For me to advise you, I need you to answer the following questions.

1.
Did she explain why she slapped you up to 20 times in one night? I can't imagine what will make an adult (not minding the gender) slap another adult 20 times within 24 hours talk more of doing it at a go.

2.
Do you snore or have body odour? Don't be offended, I am just trying to figure out what irritated and drove her crazy to wake and slap you 20 times in the middle of the night.

3.
What is that value you offer her that makes her come back each time she leaves? Are you spending too much money on her or do you give her extraordinary romance? What has she confessed that she enjoys in the relationship?

I need your sincere answers to these questions so I will tell you what I will do if I am in your situation. Your answers will enable me know her interest in you and your future with her.

The 4th but an unnecessary question is who told you that blocking a contact is a crime?

bro all becos I needed space
and she had another guy and My presence maybe wasn't what she wanted
I don't snore or have poor hygiene
perfectly to say she was looking for a good way to breakup

We need something like this in Lagos. Lagos is the commercial center of Lagos and would greatly benefit from 24/7 electricity. Even if at a higher tariff. I'd gladly pay N150/kwh of constant stable electricity, cos my gen is costing me like N450/kwh equivalent, not to talk of the noise, pollution, maintenance etc
Ofcourse you are right. This project was actually a project which the World Bank then led byNgozi Okonjo iweala adviced the FG to embark on but the FG stalled on it because of the funds involved. The owner, Bart, actually said he would have made more money if he located it in industrial estates in Lagos than anywhere in the country but he wanted to do it in Igbo land to contribute to development in the East. He is actually from Enugu State but choose Aba because he believed that's the people that needs it best because the massive production at Aba. So you are actually right. He can actually do something like this in Lagos if the state government can provide funds and award him contract to execute it. He has something like this in Abuja but on contracts and it's actually not just one only that this one is the biggest of them all.

Politics / Qua River Hotel: Senator Godswill Akpabio Lied At The Pulpit by JohnMo2: 11:59am On Feb 22
We have pondered on the frivolous, deceitful, misleading and inciting statements made by Senator Godswill Akpabio, Nigeria’s Senate President during a recent church thanksgiving service hosted by the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, at the All Nations Christian Church in Eket on Sunday, February 11. At that event, Akpabio lied before God, lied on the pulpit and lied before a cross section of the State

Senator Akpabio deliberately came for the programme few minutes to the end of the church service, an act he has mastered over the years since his days as Governor of Akwa Ibom State. We are not particularly worried that he intentionally arrived late, disrupting the service, causing protocol breach and undermining Governor Umo Eno, who had to punctuate his address and wait for several minutes, for the late comer to dance in and greet everyone before taking his seat. We are only aghast that Akpabio was later to open old wounds on the sensibilities of the people of Eket when we listened with disdain, to the frivolous, deceitful, misleading and inciting statement made by Senate President of Nigeria especially on the abandoned moribund Qua River Hotel in Eket.

Chief among his lies was that he had re-purchased the Qua River Hotel, which had previously been sold to a private firm in 2001 by the then Governor Victor Attah administration, and that he had gone ahead to design a 16 Storey Hotel for the present location of Qua River Hotel for Eket people.
Even if Akpabio does have any regards for Eket, like we know he does not as clearly shown in his eight years of governorship of Akwa Ibom State, he should have at least feared God and scrutinize the lies he gushed out from the pulpit.

Nothing could be so untrue like Akpabio's gospel of Qua River Hotel. Amusingly, Akpabio is now pretending to love Eket people. That is just a product of the guilt that he has had to fight with and suppressed over the years. That was simply his style of confession, and speaks volume of a guilty conscience. Perhaps Akpabio feels that Eket people have very limited retentive memory when he himself is the one whose memory needs to be recalibrated.

Let us therefore remind Akpabio that at the QIC Primary School, Usung Inyang Eket in March 2007 when he visited Eket to seek for votes as the PDP Governorship Candidate, he made bold to promise several things: the building of a new stadium in Eket, revamping of the ailing Qua River Hotel and resurrecting the Qua Steel Factory. He also promised Eket - Ibeno Road and Eket-Etinan Road among others.
He clearly said, “I know you want Eket Sports Stadium, I can assure you, I can assure you and I can assure you.
“You want the Qua River Hotel, I can assure you I can assure you and I can assure you…” It had since been confirmed that Akpabio in 2007 was basically listing all what he will never do for Eket people; and he showed undiluted fidelity to the pledge to neglect Eket as if he swore to an affidavit to do just that. He did none after eight years. This is why we condemn his open mockery on Eket after such heartless treatment? Oh what an audacity to add salt to injury.

Our happiness is that God has been passing through succeeding administrations to give Eket what Akpabio vehemently opposed and denied the area. It was only after the Senate President left office in 2015 as Governor that infrastructural reforms were witnessed in Eket, despite its strategic status as headquarters of Eket senatorial district.

All of the music of uncommon transformation that rocked the airwaves throughout his eight year tenure had no echo throughout Eket land as no major road was constructed beyond ground breaking stage. We have now seen the construction and in dual form, the Eket - Ibeno Road, Eket - Etinan Road all the way to Uyo and the remodeling of Eket into an urban standard. We now see how it feels to have roundabouts with water fountains and amphi theatre. Sporting life has resurrected in the area with the ultra modern sports facility. We know those who truly love Eket and Akpabio is not one of them.

His comments on the pulpit in Eket soil, which came very few days after he swore openly to his party stalwarts that he will make sure he captures the governorship seat in Akwa Ibom State for APC in 2027, aptly confirms our suspicions that this is just another of his political antics and never a sign of love for Eket people.

When he had the yam and the knife as Governor, Akpabio knew that besides Uyo which already had a Five Star Hotel on Nwaniba Road, the next city in Akwa Ibom State that justifiably needed a five star hotel and other amenities was Eket, a part of the State where the vast natural wealths of the country emanate. But he ignored his conscience then and rather built a 12 Storey hotel in Uyo few poles from an existing 10th Anniversary Hotel started by the Joseph Adeusi administration, and took the third one to Ikot Ekpene. Where does such a man still hide his face to come and talk about the importance of a Hotel and other developments in Eket?

On the establishment of tertiary institutions, during his tenure, he had the opportunity of fulfilling the longstanding dream of Eket’s forebears when the federal government dangled him an opportunity to host a Federal Polytechnic in Akwa Ibom. He rather took it to his backyard in Ukana, when Eket was willing to avail him of better facilities at Afaha Eket. Eket was not also worthy of any of the campuses of the State University which he established as Governor.

During that service at All Nations Christian Church, Akpabio also accused the Governor of taking his thanksgiving to his own church. As if addressing his Personal Aide, he told the Governor, “as Governor, you are a member of all churches. Next time go to Apostolic, Mount Zion or other churches for thanksgiving.” Does he forget that on Sunday September 24,2023, Pastor Umo Eno had hosted the State Anniversary thanksgiving service at The Apostolic Church, Obio Imo street in Uyo. At that event which he came late as usual, Akpabio clearly told Governor Eno to discountenance the Akwa Ibom State Map, duly enacted by the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and signed into law by the immediate past administration. Why would a lawfully approved Map of the State pain Senator Akpabio, if not because it afforded Eket the opportunity of reclaiming its ancestral land and property?

That is why we vehemently condemn his unguarded utterances at the church in Eket. We witnessed how he took turns to attack everyone he could recognize from the lectern; from the former Deputy governor, Mr Moses Ekpo to the current deputy governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi and even the director general of the Umo Eno Campaign Organisation, Chief Assam Assam, SAN. This was even after he had cleared his throat by saying that he was not going to abuse people that day, as if the duty of the senate president is to abuse people from the pulpit. Senator Akon Eyakenyi was a Commissioner in the State Executive Council when Akpabio himself was made commissioner, but that is the same person Akpabio would say had never been to Abuja until he made her Minister. “The first time your deputy Akon Eyakenyi ever set foot in Abuja to know where the federal capital territory is located, was when I sent her to be a Minister”. I was the one who brought Moses Ekpo back from US and made him deputy Governor but throughout his tenure in 8years, he never invited me for a state function in my own State”. What manner of blatant lies and reckless statements.

While we cannot change him at this stage of his life, we want to let Akpabio know that his counsel to the Governor on Qua River Hotel is respectfully unsolicited as it was wrapped in falsehood. During his tenure, Senator Akpabio made no effort to recover the Qua River hotel from EKPOUDIA ENTERPRISE that had acquired it in 2001. Eket people had since taken their destiny in their hands and commenced processes of revoking the contract deal on the hotel through a motion by the member representing Eket in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Dr Nsidibe Akata. The House of Assembly is in the process of legally empowering the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno to revoke and reclaim the project and build a standard hotel for Eket. Why would such a resolution have been needed if at all Akpabio’s Government had re-purchased the hotel from the private owners as he lied in his gospel of lies?

So, suddenly, Eket now deserves such attention? Akpabio is waking up late in the night; he shunned us in the morning, afternoon and evening. This late night interest is suspicious and curious, and we reject it with the alertness a night action deserves. If he wants to steal the glory when eventually the rights to the project is revoked, remodeled and put to use. He has failed once again.

Akpabio is a wrong person to advise Governor Umo Eno on what to do for Eket people; Akpabio cannot be more Catholic than the Pope, Akpabio cannot cry our cry for us.

Good enough, we have a listening leader in Governor Umo Eno, who does not allow ethnic sentiments or other mundane trivialities to put a wedge between him and his plans for the people. We trust that the humble Man of God in the helms of Akwa Ibom State affairs, will build an ultra modern Hotel complex for Eket, he will expand on its infrastructure and will afford us more government presence through industries, a tertiary institution and other infrastructure to enable our local government reclaim its past glory as ‘Idung Mfianwe’.

For the umpteenth time, we urge Senator Godswill Akpabio to leave Eket alone. He did not like us yesterday, he cannot like us today. We are not interested in his cosmetic love.

Politics / Qua River Hotel: Senator Akpabio Goofs At Umo Eno's Thanksgiving by ogugwa1992: 11:42am On Feb 22
The people of Eket have called out the Senate President, Senator Godswil Akpabio over his alleged "deceitful, misleading and inciting statements" on the status and ownership of the moribund Qua River Hotel in Eket.

Senator Akpabio had told participants at a thanksgiving service hosted by the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, at his All Nations Christian Church in Eket on Sunday, 11th February, 2024, that he had repurchased and redesigned Qua River Hotel to give Eket people a sense of belonging.

But in a communique signed by its converter, Comrade Samuel Ubokudom on Tuesday, 20th February, 2024, Ekid Nation Interest Forum, Edem Udo Street, Eket, described the Senate President's comments as unguarded and blatant lies.

Entitled "Qua River Hotel: When Senator Godswill Akpabio lied at the pulpit", the communique observed with dismay that the fact that the Senate President's comments came "few days after he swore openly to his party stalwarts that he will make sure he captures the governorship seat in Akwa Ibom State for APC in 2027, aptly confirms our suspicions that this is just another of his political antics".

The communique reads:

"While we cannot change him at this stage of his life, we want to let Akpabio know that his counsel to the Governor on Qua River Hotel is respectfully unsolicited as it was wrapped in falsehood. During his tenure, Senator Akpabio made no effort to recover the Qua River hotel from EKPOUDIA ENTERPRISE that had acquired it in 2001. How much did he pay to re-purchase the property as he claimed?

"Eket people had since taken their destiny in their hands and commenced processes of revoking the contract deal on the hotel through a motion by the member representing Eket in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Dr Nsidibe Akata.

"The House of Assembly is in the process of legally empowering the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno to revoke and reclaim the project and build a standard hotel for Eket. Why would such a resolution have been needed if at all Akpabio’s Government had re-purchased the hotel from the private owners as he lied in his gospel of lies?

"So, suddenly, Eket now deserves such attention? Akpabio is waking up late in the night; he shunned us in the morning, afternoon and evening. This late night interest is suspicious and curious, and we reject it with the alertness a night action deserves.

"If he wants to steal the glory when eventually the rights to the project is revoked, remodeled and put to use. He has failed once again.

"Akpabio is a wrong person to advise Governor Umo Eno on what to do for Eket people; Akpabio cannot be more Catholic than the Pope, Akpabio cannot cry our cry for us.

"Good enough, we have a listening leader in Governor Umo Eno, who does not allow ethnic sentiments or other mundane trivialities to put a wedge between him and his plans for the people.

"We trust that the humble Man of God in the helms of Akwa Ibom State affairs, will build an ultra modern Hotel complex for Eket, he will expand on its infrastructure and will afford us more government presence through industries, a tertiary institution and other infrastructure to enable our local government reclaim its past glory as ‘Idung Mfianwe’.

"For the umpteenth time, we urge Senator Godswill Akpabio to leave Eket alone. He did not like us yesterday, he cannot like us today. We are not interested in his cosmetic love."

Politics / Motorists Groan As Fuel Scarcity Hits Lagos Hard by treesun: 8:25am On Feb 22
There were long queues in many filling stations across Lagos State though the National Association of Road Transport Owners has called off its strike.

The queues, The PUNCH gathered, started building up in some parts of Lagos on Tuesday.

The queue was borne out of fear by Nigerians that premium motor spirit might become scarce as a result of the now-suspended NARTO strike.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Nigerians stormed filling stations to engage in panic buying.

It was learnt that the refusal of the tanker drivers to lift fuel on Monday and Tuesday also had affected filling stations owned by independent marketers, many of whom had run out of supply.

In major areas in Lagos, the queues continued to build up, causing traffic gridlock on major roads.

Our correspondents observed that the filling stations along the Alausa axis of Lagos, including, Mobil, Total, Conoil and others had long queues.

Also, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited stations in Ogunnusi, Ojodu-Berger and Ikorodu Road had long queues, including Bovas.

Around the Isolo axis, the filling station at Apata Round-about was not selling fuel; it was the same scenario at the Total Filling station located close to Isolo General Hospital.

At Ishaga, an attendant at NPOG filling station told our correspondent that they had run out of fuel in the past three days.

The PUNCH also observed that the NNPC and Mobil filling stations at the College Bus stop were also out of fuel.

The Quest fuel station along Asuani Road was the only filling station that dispensed fuel on Wednesday, with a long queue of cars and customers struggling to buy at N640 per litre.

Along Gbagada Road, the NorthWest had a long queue of cars and was selling at N610 per litre, while Eternal at Gbagada Bustop was not selling at the time of filing this report.

When our correspondent visited a fuel station belonging to NNPCL in the Ikotun area of Lagos State, it was observed it was not selling fuel.

On Wednesday, a long queue was noticed at God’s Decision, along Governor Road, Ikotun.

“We learnt that there may be a fuel scarcity soon. They said tankers drivers are going on strike,” one of the customers at God’s Decision told The PUNCH.

In an interview with our correspondent, the Vice National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers, Hammed Fashola, said the queue was caused by the two-day strike embarked upon by the tanker drivers.

“The fuel queues were caused by the two-day stoppage of operations by the tanker drivers. By Monday, everything will clear off. The NARTO members called off their strike yesterday (Tuesday) and they resumed loading of fuel today (Wednesday). All the depots are working now,” Fashola said in a phone interview.

Meanwhile, Lagosians have lamented over the fuel scarcity that struck many neighbourhoods in the state.

On X (formerly Twitter), @EricaNlewedim on Wednesday described the development as bad news that was becoming too much.

“The bad news is just too much. What is it? Ahah! And now fuel scarcity, I’m really tired of being an adult in this generation,” the user wrote.

@mhs4lyf, who lamented the situation in Lagos, said he had to trek.

He tweeted, “Fuel scarcity in Lagos and hold up. (I) trekked almost 10km to go home. Thank God for life.”

A user, @honeymiixx, called on President Bola Tinubu to call oil marketers to order, saying, “There’s fuel scarcity in Lagos again! Life is already unbearable for people. Please, talk to the oil marketers.”

@notsocialallen said just at the weekend, he was too lazy to go and buy fuel and “suddenly there’s fuel scarcity in Lagos”.

“There is fuel scarcity in Lagos and they are selling black market fuel for N1,200 and no light since the day before yesterday. Nah this place is hell,” @Thelengygirl posted.

@AAAlatishe wrote, “All the candidates literally said they were going to remove it. But then, you phase it out while having a better power supply everywhere. The subsidy has been removed, now, fuel scarcity everywhere with less or zero power supply. I believe most Nigerians will be okay at buying a litre at N1k, if they will only be using it in their vehicles. This brings me to this question, will we ever witness an uninterrupted 24/7 electricity in this country?”

“Fuel scarcity on top of all these problems is just crazy. Is it that they don’t think we have a breaking point?” @omosalewasmiles asked.

@Dxx_machina wrote, “No light, there is heat. Now, fuel scarcity and we can’t run gen. What the actual heck is wrong with this freaking country?”

“I’m lost, please what’s this fuel scarcity about? These guys are extremely wicked,” @Jaaayyyy__ posted on X.

@iamkvngdavid_ lamented he was in a long queue while “trying to buy fuel at N650 per litre, just this evening alone, I’m witnessing fuel scarcity”.

“Is it just me but I find some things very weird. There are no buses due to the fuel scarcity, then traffic,” @DarknSweetheart wrote.

“Fuel scarcity in Lagos. High pump price plus scarcity is hell. Which way Nigeria?” @MfonEssien lamented.

The fuel queues on Wednesday left commuters stranded, forcing car owners to turn to the black market to purchase fuel at inflated prices.

Bobagunwa stated, “Fuel scarcity is intensifying in Lagos. One litre is currently being sold for N1,000 on the black market. I always wonder what if Nigeria doesn’t have crude oil.”

Iniete expressed, “It’s my first time queuing for fuel all alone under the scorching heat in Lagos during this time of fuel scarcity. God, please seriously punish the people, past and present, who ruined this country.”

Babudere lamented, “There is fuel scarcity in Lagos, and black market fuel is being sold for N1,200. Also, there has been no electricity since the day before yesterday. This place feels like hell.”

Oyíndàmọ́lá conveyed, “Dear @NGRPresidentn @officialABAT, there’s fuel scarcity in Lagos again! Life is already unbearable for people; please talk to the oil marketers.”

Ade shared, “I saw the crowd at bus stations this morning as well. I helped the ones I could, but I still got fuel today for 605. Yes, there’s scarcity currently, and the queues are long. But no one is selling for 1000 here in Lagos.”

The PUNCH recalls that the tanker drivers on Monday parked their trucks, refusing to lift fuel over the high cost of operations.

NARTO President, Yusuf Othman, in a letter to truck drivers, said NARTO had made several efforts to secure negotiations for appropriate and commensurate freight rates for its operations from all authorities concerned in the industry, especially the major marketers, without any positive result.

However, the major marketers said the decision of NARTO to stop transporting fuel may not have much effect on them, some of whom have separate transporters.

Open Doors

See I have placed before you an open door

Revelation 3:8

Danielle Dorris had an aspiration to write for one of the leading magazines in her country. Despite being so good at writing she failed to secure a spot with the magazine company. Two years later she moved out of the country for further education only to be handed a job, the role of a lead story writer for the number one writing company in the world.

No matter how good we are at something there is no guarantee that things will immediately go our way. Sometimes as qualified and proficient as we are in our services we may not attract the global recognition we deserve. Doors we thought will easily be opened to us can close and people we meet to help us pull some strings may disappoint. Disappointment should not be a reason for despair.

When one door closes God can always open another. In his wisdom we may suffer a setback in our expectations only for something better to emerge.
A closed door is not always a closed destiny. We must see the difference between a temporary setback and a permanent situation. As we journey through life we may be faced with closed doors but God in his infinite love will open doors that no man can shut.

talk about it

In what way have you experienced closed doors?

How can we learn to act or interprete our situations when we face a close door?

Key Point: When God allows a closed door we can trust that he has the power to open a better door.

Prayer: Lord help me to see your hand in my setbacks and not give up on a breakthrough.

1Co. 2:4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,
1Co. 2:5 so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.

1Co. 4:19 But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have.
1Co. 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.

As we move into the end times, it is important that we move from mere-talk Christianity to Christianity that visibly demonstrates the power of God. In Re. 3:10, the Lord Jesus Christ talks about the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. Mere-talk Christianity cannot survive the coming great trial; many “born again” Christians will fall away from faith in Jesus Christ (Mt. 24:10). The great worldwide trial will happen as a result of a surge in evil caused by sudden relocation of Satan and all his angels from the second heaven to planet earth (Re. 12:7-9). During the ensuing trial, mere-talk Christianity does not stand a chance. Only the ability to manifest the power of God can make a Christian to prevail against tremendous onslaught of evil. Before Satan and all his angels make the world their permanent abode, manifestation of the sons of God will already be in progress. This message has come to make you to begin to manifest as a son of God.

There are prophetic indications that we are very close to the great worldwide trial that will select the Christians that will make the rapture. Now is the time to build up our spiritual muscles, so that we shall overcome in the days of great evil.

Ep. 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Ep. 6:11 Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
Ep. 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ep. 6:13 Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

How does a Christian develop divine strength and operate in the power of God?

Jn. 1:12 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.

Who is the “he” and “him” in Jn. 1:12? The common answer is Jesus Christ. But in reality Jesus does not appear in John chapter 1 until verse 14, where the word becomes flesh. The he in 1:12 is the Word—words that came out of the mouth of God. In Jn. 1:14 the Word became flesh and this does not mean that the Word materialized as the man Jesus, but rather that the word possessed the man Jesus and Jesus became a vessel for the manifestation of the Word.

Jn. 1:12 is basically saying that as many as allow themselves to be possessed by words that came out of the mouth of God, to them God gives power to manifest as sons of God. That is actually what happened to Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus overcame Satan during the temptation in the desert (Mt. 4:3-11) by continually speaking words of God and after that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with divine power (Ac. 10:38). How does a Christian allow the Word to possess her/him? It is simply by continually speaking words that came out of the mouth of God. Note that it is not every word in the Bible that constitutes the Word; only words that came out of the mouth God. When a Christian overcomes sin by continually speaking words of God, God will anoint her/him with power.

Is. 55:10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
Is. 55:11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Jn. 3:34 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.

In Is. 55:11, God says that His word cannot return to Him without accomplishing what it says. In Jn. 3:34, Jesus Christ says that as a person sent by God continues to speak words of God, God continues to give that person the Spirit. In Jn. 3:34 we therefore see how to grow in anointing; by continually speaking words that came out of the mouth of God. Note that this works only for a person sent by God. Who are the people sent by God? See Jn. 20:21. Everyone that has been baptized into Jesus Christ in water and in the Spirit is God’s representative in the world and so has been sent by God. The best way to speak words of God is to return God’s words to Him, thereby fulfilling Is. 55:11. When a Christian returns God’s word to Him, God gives her/him the Spirit and the Spirit accomplishes what the word says in the life of the Christian.

An experiment

Mt. 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Mt. 22:37 Jesus replied: “`Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
Mt. 22:38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
Mt. 22:39 And the second is like it: `Love your neighbour as yourself.’
Mt. 22:40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Lk. 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Above shows some words of God. Below I show how I return the words above to God.

By your grace, Holy Father God Almighty, I shall be perfect, even as you, our heavenly father are perfect. I shall be holy and blameless. In the name of Jesus Christ.

By your grace, glorious Father God, I will always love you with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind and with all my strength. I shall love my neighbor as I love myself. In the name of Jesus Christ.

By your grace everlasting Father God, I shall do to others as I would have them do to me.

The experiment is to continually return those words to God just as I normally do, every morning and evening. Continue to return God’s words to Him as shown above and you will see the righteousness of God building up in you. You will easily overcome sin. Expand your confession of God’s words by adding more words that came out of the mouth of God to the above example. Before long, you will begin to operate in the power of God.

QuestionS

What is the success rate of the robot in percentage?
Answer
With this robot you can be sure of an average of 10%+ profits every month. And we are being modest not to overhype things.

You see it depends on market conditions. Some months u will get 50%,40%,35%,60%+ it depend some factors

As a Forex trader in the past I never try b o ts. B o t s blow up your account.

Do you know why ?
1. They are trying to predict the direction of the market

2. Leverage is an issue. Royal Q focuses on purely spot trading. Where u buy low and sell high. But the new updated version now has futures trading added to it with good risk management and money management also.

Royal Q doesn't predict the direction of the of the market.

If you understand this then that will eliminate your worries..
.
What is the worse thing that can happen if royal Q crash?

The worst thing that can happen is that your coins remain with you in bi na nce. No loss. U sell ur coins on bi na nce wen u want and get ur money out. Except bi na nce crash? Thats when u look ur money. & bi na nce is the worlds highest c r y p to ex changer. Just like C B N is the nigeiran master bank. Bi na nce is the cr y p to master bank
This app will be here for a long time. Hav no fears. Its a 3years+ now.

Question
how easy to withdraw into naira bank account?

Answer
Very very easy. Hundreds of Agents are waiting to buy U S D T from you on Bin an ce, via the P 2 P Platform. Among us are Agent on Bin an ce and De riv that transacts in U S D T . Cash out will not be an issue.

Question

Is the cost of d Bot 120$ +20$

Or just 120$

Answer
The bot costs $120 for 12 months.

However recall that for every successful trade the app will take 20% of the profit it generates and gives u 80%. While ur capital is 100% intact.

Since it cannot touch your money on bi na nce we ask you to put $20 atleast for fuel fee inside the apps usdt for it will be deducting the fe es from there.

Only when successful tra des happen will it start deducting from the fuel.

Re cruitment is optional & is the 2nd way of making money aside tra ding..

If you don't have much capital you can start raising fund to trade via the net working.

Question
Doesn't someone need to be online constantly 4 d robot to keep trading?? As in, what if my phone goes off 4 a while due to maybe low ba3. Hope d robot keeps working?
Answer
In fact you can uninstall the app on your phone and the app will keep working.
Anytime you come into network you get updates.
Questions
Must you verify your bin an ce account b4 joining?
Answer
Yes for bin an ce.no for royal Q, You can just do the email and phone number verification and then start trading.

Question
What are the associated risk using Royal Q Ro bot?

Answer
There is risk in every opportunity.

If bin an ce the biggest c r y p t o exchange decides to run away with our money then that's it. But if Royal Q crash? Ur money is still in bi na nce safe.

When Royal Q trades for you it takes 20% of each successful trade profit as gas fee. Since it cannot touch your binance money it deducts from its internal u s d t wallet. So u drop the money there and say transport money to go to the market and trade for me.

Remember that with Royal Q your money remains safe in your bin an ce account.

Question

Does this Royal Q app loose on trades?

Answer
This app trades the spot market and recently started trading Futures. It doesn't use leverage on spot trading. No losses.

So as long as you hold your position you remain without loss. No Liquidating because of impatience.. Never liquidate when the trade is negative.

The coins u are holding will remain the same always.

Whatever goes down will come up. So you must have some patience In the Business and in cr yp to at large. & start with spare money dat u can leave to work for u for 6-12months.
Without wanting the capital out in a rush.
While u can be taking profits 1s it hits 20$ and above.
do not borrow to start. Or use ur schoolfees or house rent or the likes of such emergency funds to avoid panic & rush.
Use your spare money that you would have saved in the bank to invest here, or except you want to network and you are capable of net working then you can do otherwise with caution. this is a honest advice most will not open up to you

Politics / Re: As Tinubu Builds The Country Of Our Dreams - Nigerians Should Not Repeat The Mis by vannessa7(f): 4:53pm On Feb 21
The current Tinubu policies if allowed to stay will have multiple effects on our economy and how we grow as a nation.

Firstly, the policy is expected to make more money available to the government. By so doing government at all levels is expected to have more money for infrastructural development and expenditures. Take, for example, money saved on the subsidies should be used to massively develop our electricity generation to such an extent that an average village in Nigeria should have a 12-hour supply of power daily for a start. If we achieve this, demands on PMS and Diesel will reduce. And for the fact that electricity will be cheaper compared to fossil fuel, it will in the long run affect the prices of goods and services.
If the government is done with the electricity supply, the money saved further will be used for massive transportation facilities. There should ambitious plan for train system to link up the whole country such that we will no longer have any heavy-duty trucks on our major roads. Trains should transport our cement, rice, cocoa, and other industrial goods. Another positive effect of that is that there will be reduced pressure on our major roads and the government will not have to spend billions of dollars yearly to rehabilitate our roads. As pressure gradually reduces on government revenue we can begin to talk of an affordable and accessible health care system and good education can follow. Otherwise, we cannot eat our cake and have it back.

Secondly, the policies are expected to drive massive local production. How this is expected to happen is that, by the time the dollar continues to go out of our reach either to buy input for businesses or to import goods, we will turn to alternative ways of getting those goods and sources for those materials. And the only way left is to turn to our local sources for those demands such as massive agricultural investment, so with time, our demands for dollars will not only decrease but there will massive employment across all sectors. 80% of current Nigerian workers both in private and public sectors are into rendering services. Only 20% are into real production.

Lastly, the policies are expected to discipline us to eschew waste of resources. For every item or service that we enjoy, there is a cost for it. If you are not paying directly, someone is bearing the cost somewhere. In the case of Nigeria, the Government. It is in Nigeria that you will leave your home appliances and security lights on and travel for months. No one dares that in advance country. People buy foreign wines that have been subsidized through the subsidies on the dollar and just "pour champagne". It is in Nigeria, that an individual will have different types of cars for different purposes and outings only because PMS is cheap.

Take for example, since there was partial removal of PMS subsidies, most of us have cautioned ourselves on unnecessary travel and 24-hour running of generators. If we don't know, all these reduced wastages have in the long run reduced the demand for refined PMS and had a significant effect no matter how small on our FX demands direction. So, one of the fundamental purposes of subsidy removal is to ensure every consumption is valued.

Conclusively, I will urge the citizenry to henceforth make the government accountable for every kobo generated and appropriated. Every monetary infraction and corruption should be treated with the same ferocity as the hunger and anger we currently endure. All wastages of government and governance should be resisted in the strength of ENDSARS.

Labor Unions should not only ask for salary increases but mobilize the citizens for accountability advocacies, forums, and platforms. The Labor Union's demands for salary increase will only send the dollar to around ₦3,500 per dollar. The salary increase will lead to more money in circulation and more naira chasing the few available dollars and the rate of dollar consequently increases. In the end, the new increase returns to the old value.

Finally, in the long run, if the above measures come to play, pressure will reduce on both PMS and Dollars. And their prices will drastically come down. Time!!!

We have a great country called Nigeria, but we all must sacrifice to achieve that greatness. The future is bright and beautiful.

How Long?

How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

Psalm 13:1

Randy registered as an apprentice in a shipyard company. His dream of working as an expert in the dock needed him to learn under the guidance of an experienced ship yard instructor. But his goal was not going to be accomplished in a short period. He needed six years of training.

Sometimes time is needed for us to get what we want or desire in life. When we submit our prayers to God. He may not grant us our heart desires immediately. It may involve years of praying, believing and training through life circumstances.

The process of getting to our desired outcome can be prolonged in a way that we ask, how long ? But God is working on our dreams and putting every piece together. As we wait on God to lead us to our right end we can live by faith that he will do what is best for us and even if it would require time and waiting, God will never fail us.

talk about it

Is there something you have been praying for God to do?

How does trusting God help you as you wait for him to solve the problem?

Key Point: Be patient with God and yourself.

Prayer; Lord help me to wait patiently for your answers to my prayers

The Authority of the Bible

But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.

2 Timothy 3:14

Cynthia and Erica were both involved in a ghastly motor accident on their way back from their hometown as the new year began. Both of them had visitors coming to check on them after hearing the news. Cynthia had a perspective on what happened that day and gave her own story based on that while Erica told a story of how it happened with both stories having some sort of difference in certain details.

Have you ever questioned the authenticity of the Bible? The Bible was inspired by God but written out by men with different perspectives and situations. Take the book of Matthew and Luke for instance. They both have similar stories written by two different authors based on their individual perspectives of the events. This perspective issue has given some discrepancies to the Bible before some men who feel the details in the bible is incorrect.

Reading the Bible as a whole document shows that each part is consistent with each other and each part fits together. Despite the shortcomings of the Bible it is God’s word and the authority of the Bible is consistent. The Bible was inspired by God and written out by men and its messages and guidance should be trusted.

talk about it

In what ways do you find the Bible inconsistent?

Do you read the Bible as a whole document?

Key Point: The Bible is God’s word written out by flawed humans.

Prayer: Father help me to trust the stories in the Bible and also use it as my authority on earth.

19. Surah Maryam (Mary)
In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful

1. Kaf- Ha-Ya-'Ain-Sad.

[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].

2. (This is) a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His slave Zakariya (Zachariah).

3. When he called out his Lord (Allah) a call in secret,

4. Saying: "My Lord! Indeed my bones have grown feeble, and grey hair has spread on my head, And I have never been unblest in my invocation to You, O my Lord!

5. "And Verily! I fear my relatives after me, since my wife is barren. So give me from Yourself an heir,

6. "Who shall inherit me, and inherit (also) the posterity of Ya'qub (Jacob) (inheritance of the religious knowledge and Prophethood, not the wealth, etc.). And make him, my Lord, one with whom You are Well-pleased!".

7. (Allah said) "O Zakariya (Zachariah)! Verily, We give you the glad tidings of a son, His name will be Yahya (John). We have given that name to none before (him)."

8. He said: "My Lord! How can I have a son, when my wife is barren, and I have reached the extreme old age."

9. He said: "So (it will be). Your Lord says; It is easy for Me. Certainly I have created you before, when you had been nothing!"

10. [Zakariya (Zachariah)] said: "My Lord! Appoint for me a sign." He said: "Your sign is that you shall not speak unto mankind for three nights, though having no bodily defect."

11. Then he came out to his people from Al-Mihrab (a praying place or a private room, etc.), he told them by signs to glorify Allah's Praises in the morning and in the afternoon.

12. (It was said to his son): "O Yahya (John)! Hold fast the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]." And We gave him wisdom while yet a child.

13. And (made him) sympathetic to men as a mercy (or a grant) from Us, and pure from sins [i.e. Yahya (John)] and he was righteous,

14. And dutiful towards his parents, and he was neither an arrogant nor disobedient (to Allah or to his parents).

15. And Salamun (peace) be on him the day he was born, the day he dies, and the day he will be raised up to life (again)!

16. And mention in the Book (the Qur'an, O Muhammad , the story of) Maryam (Mary), when she withdrew in seclusion from her family to a place facing east.

17. She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our Ruh [angel Jibrael (Gabriel)], and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects.

18. She said: "Verily! I seek refuge with the Most Beneficent (Allah) from you, if you do fear Allah."

19. (The angel) said: "I am only a Messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of a righteous son."

20. She said: "How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, nor am I unchaste?"

21. He said: "So (it will be), your Lord said: 'That is easy for Me (Allah): And (We wish) to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (Allah), and it is a matter (already) decreed, (by Allah).' "

22. So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far place (i.e. Bethlehem valley about 4-6 miles from Jerusalem).

23. And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She said: "Would that I had died before this, and had been forgotten and out of sight!"

24. Then [the babe 'Iesa (Jesus) or Jibrael (Gabriel)] cried unto her from below her, saying: "Grieve not! Your Lord has provided a water stream under you;

25. "And shake the trunk of date-palm towards you, it will let fall fresh ripe-dates upon you."

26. "So eat and drink and be glad, and if you see any human being, say: 'Verily! I have vowed a fast unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) so I shall not speak to any human being this day.'"

27. Then she brought him (the baby) to her people, carrying him. They said: "O Mary! Indeed you have brought a thing Fariya (an unheard mighty thing).

28. "O sister (i.e. the like) of Harun (Aaron) [not the brother of Musa (Moses), but he was another pious man at the time of Maryam (Mary)]! Your father was not a man who used to commit adultery, nor your mother was an unchaste woman."

29. Then she pointed to him. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"

30. "He ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet;"

31. "And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer), and Zakat, as long as I live."

32. "And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest.

33. "And Salam (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!"

34. Such is 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (it is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute).

35. It befits not (the Majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allah, by saying that 'Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah]. Glorified (and Exalted be He above all that they associate with Him). When He decrees a thing, He only says to it, "Be!" and it is.

36. ['Iesa (Jesus) said]: "And verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path. (Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His Prophets)." [Tafsir At-Tabari]

37. Then the sects differed [i.e. the Christians about 'Iesa (Jesus)], so woe unto the disbelievers [those who gave false witness by saying that 'Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah] from the meeting of a great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire).

38. How clearly will they (polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) see and hear, the Day when they will appear before Us! But the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) today are in plain error.

39. And warn them (O Muhammad ) of the Day of grief and regrets, when the case has been decided, while (now) they are in a state of carelessness, and they believe not.

40. Verily! We will inherit the earth and whatsoever is thereon. And to Us they all shall be returned,

41. And mention in the Book (the Qur'an) Ibrahim (Abraham). Verily! He was a man of truth, a Prophet.

42. When he said to his father: "O my father! Why do you worship that which hears not, sees not and cannot avail you in anything?

43. "O my father! Verily! There has come to me of knowledge that which came not unto you. So follow me. I will guide you to a Straight Path.

44. "O my father! Worship not Shaitan (Satan). Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has been a rebel against the Most Beneficent (Allah).

45. "O my father! Verily! I fear lest a torment from the Most Beneficent (Allah) overtake you, so that you become a companion of Shaitan (Satan) (in the Hell-fire)." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi]

46. He (the father) said: "Do you reject my gods, O Ibrahim (Abraham)? If you stop not (this), I will indeed stone you. So get away from me safely before I punish you."

47. Ibrahim (Abraham) said: "Peace be on you! I will ask Forgiveness of my Lord for you. Verily! He is unto me, Ever Most Gracious.

48. "And I shall turn away from you and from those whom you invoke besides Allah. And I shall call on my Lord; and I hope that I shall not be unblest in my invocation to my Lord."

49. So when he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We gave him Ishaque (Isaac) and Ya'qub (Jacob), and each one of them We made a Prophet.

50. And We gave them of Our Mercy (a good provision in plenty), and We granted them honour on the tongues (of all the nations, i.e everybody remembers them with a good praise).

51. And mention in the Book (this Qur'an) Musa (Moses). Verily! He was chosen and he was a Messenger (and) a Prophet.

52. And We called him from the right side of the Mount, and made him draw near to Us for a talk with him [Musa (Moses)].

53. And We bestowed on him his brother Harun (Aaron), (also) a Prophet, out of Our Mercy.

54. And mention in the Book (the Qur'an) Isma'il (Ishmael). Verily! He was true to what he promised, and he was a Messenger, (and) a Prophet.

55. And he used to enjoin on his family and his people As-Salat (the prayers) and the Zakat, and his Lord was pleased with him.

56. And mention in the Book (the Qur'an) Idris (Enoch).Verily! He was a man of truth, (and) a Prophet.

57. And We raised him to a high station.

58. Those were they unto whom Allah bestowed His Grace from among the Prophets, of the offspring of Adam, and of those whom We carried (in the ship) with Nuh (Noah), and of the offspring of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Israel and from among those whom We guided and chose. When the Verses of the Most Beneficent (Allah) were recited unto them, they fell down prostrating and weeping.

59. Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salat (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salat (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times, etc.] and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell.

60. Except those who repent and believe (in the Oneness of Allah and His Messenger Muhammad ), and work righteousness. Such will enter Paradise and they will not be wronged in aught.

61. (They will enter) 'Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), which the Most Beneficent (Allah) has promised to His slaves in the unseen: Verily! His Promise must come to pass.

62. They shall not hear therein (in Paradise) any Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk), but only Salam (salutations of peace). And they will have therein their sustenance, morning and afternoon. [See (V.40:55)].

63. Such is the Paradise which We shall give as an inheritance to those of Our slaves who have been Al-Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - See V.2:2).

64. And we (angels) descend not except by the Command of your Lord (O Muhammad ). To Him belongs what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between those two, and your Lord is never forgetful,

65. Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, so worship Him (Alone) and be constant and patient in His worship. Do you know of any who is similar to Him? (of course none is similar or coequal or comparable to Him, and He has none as partner with Him). [There is nothing like unto Him and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer].

66. And man (the disbeliever) says: "When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?"

67. Does not man remember that We created him before, while he was nothing?

68. So by your Lord, surely, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Shayatin (devils) (with them), then We shall bring them round Hell on their knees.

69. Then indeed We shall drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against the Most Beneficent (Allah).

70. Then, verily, We know best those who are most worthy of being burnt therein.

71. There is not one of you but will pass over it (Hell); this is with your Lord; a Decree which must be accomplished.

72. Then We shall save those who use to fear Allah and were dutiful to Him. And We shall leave the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.) therein (humbled) to their knees (in Hell).

73. And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve (the rich and strong among the pagans of Quraish who live a life of luxury) say to those who believe (the weak, poor companions of Prophet Muhammad who have a hard life): "Which of the two groups (i.e. believers and disbelievers) is best in (point of) position and as regards station (place of council for consultation)."

74. And how many a generation (past nations) have We destroyed before them, who were better in wealth, goods and outward appearance?

75. Say (O Muhammad ) whoever is in error, the Most Beneficent (Allah) will extend (the rope) to him, until, when they see that which they were promised, either the torment or the Hour, they will come to know who is worst in position, and who is weaker in forces. [This is the answer for the Verse No.19:73]

76. And Allah increases in guidance those who walk aright [true believers in the Oneness of Allah who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden), and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. And the righteous good deeds that last, are better with your Lord, for reward and better for resort.

77. Have you seen him who disbelieved in Our Ayat (this Qur'an and Muhammad ) and (yet) says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children [if I will be alive (again)],"

78. Has he known the unseen or has he taken a covenant from the Most Beneficent (Allah)?

79. Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall increase his torment (in the Hell);

80. And We shall inherit from him (at his death) all that he talks of (i.e. wealth and children which We have bestowed upon him in this world), and he shall come to Us alone.

81. And they have taken (for worship) aliha (gods) besides Allah, that they might give them honour, power and glory (and also protect them from Allah's Punishment etc.).

82. Nay, but they (the so-called gods) will deny their worship of them, and become opponents to them (on the Day of Resurrection).

83. See you not that We have sent the Shayatin (devils) against the disbelievers to push them to do evil.

84. So make no haste against them; We only count out to them a (limited) number (of the days of the life of this world and delay their term so that they may increase in evil and sins).

85. The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V.2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour).

86. And We shall drive the Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, etc.) to Hell, in a thirsty state (like a thirsty herd driven down to water),

87. None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from the Most Beneficent (Allah).

88. And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]."

89. Indeed you have brought forth (said) a terrible evil thing.

90. Whereby the heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder, and the mountains fall in ruins,

91. That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah).

92. But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children).

93. There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) as a slave.

94. Verily, He knows each one of them, and has counted them a full counting.

95. And everyone of them will come to Him alone on the Day of Resurrection (without any helper, or protector or defender).

96. Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of Allah and in His Messenger (Muhammad )] and work deeds of righteousness, the Most Beneficent (Allah) will bestow love for them (in the hearts of the believers).

97. So We have made this (the Qur'an) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad ), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - See V.2:2), and warn with it the Ludda (most quarrelsome) people.

98. And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Can you (O Muhammad ) find a single one of them or hear even a whisper of them?
Business / Re: My Experience After Serving My Oga For 7years Including My Gain And Loss by BBIA: 11:33am On Feb 19
weblord1900:
So 7+years ago I made this post seeking advice on a journey I was to embark on.
.
First of all pardon my English,
I'm here again to share my experience over the years of my apprenticeship and also the process. I know it's not all part of this country practice this system. It's more prevellent in the east.
For me there has been up and down and mostly down. This is something you can never understand until you personally experience it.. It will reshape your entire life especially your mind whether you like it or not.

I left my village by June to meet my Oga in the city. I spent 6months as testing. Like the first 6months were not counted as part of the agreement. I was even lucky because some spend 1year as testing. So I started in 2017 after agreement. This type of agreement just involve your oga coming to meet your parents with few eyewitnesses.. No lawyer or paper to sign. Just verbal agreement ,No fixed price .. They'll only discuss on how long you will work for him or her( the oga or madam).

When I started my Oga is still single so I was doing most of the works in the house including cooking .. We were living very happy .. I was eating very well .if you look at me then the evidence is there 😀 Sometimes my oga will come back with full fried chicken oh oh.. Only me and him .. Things where just smooth ..
Fast forward to 2019 my oga decided to my settle down.. I think I use like 4years senior my oga wife. At the first few months his wife was very angelic, calm and gentle. She serve us tea every morning..
Omo how she take change I don't know 🙆🏾‍♂️ I no offend anybody .. I'm very calm in nature .. My oga follow change too. Nobody day send me again ..

During 2020 covid 19 my eyes saw my ears .. I know things was hard then but mine was hard pro max. From 2018 I started suffering from chronic tonsillitis. I was taking drugs up and down including self medication .. I started noticing change from the way I speak because I don't know if it's the drug or the sickness that's affecting me .. I had no one to tell. By 2021 I gathered courage and told my oga 😪.. He carry me go meet aboki people make he carry scissors chop the two damaged tonsils in my throat .. Them just day price am 3k 5k I day one side day shed tears 😭 . I called someone and told him about everything. He told my oga to take me to a good hospital. The story long sha but at the end I went under tonsillectomy surgery .. I'm now fine

By 2023 which is supposed to be my last year my oga carry another problem come.. The way he was treating me caused problems between some of his brother and sister including some of his friends because they don't like the way he was treating me. They were all encouraging and giving me advice to persevere because I'm almost through its just a temptation.
I was settled this February with wetin my mouth not fit talk after serving for 7year chai😭 🤦. You can't even rent a shop with here with the amount I received. I haven't talked about buying the goods in this period every price has sky rocketed. I thank my family and friends it's all good.

Life is a journey ..I still have more opportunities ahead of me. I have seen more than 20 other people that have come to serve but didn't finish. Most of them doesn't last for 2years but I persist because I'm determined for success. With this energy nothing can stop me.

Let me tell you some key points in this system.
1. They don't tell you how much you'll receive at the end. Just be ready to take what you see.
2. It will greatly affect your mental health positively or negatively depending on how you are being treated.
3. There will be alot of temptations and peer pressure if you're not careful you'll be dismissed.
4. If at the end your oga decides not to settle you ,that's all for you. He cannot be procecuted by any law since there is no signed agreement.
5. You'll be blamed for some wrong things you didn't do.
6. There are some common thing you won't be allowed to do.. Like voting during election or going to the football field to play with your friends. You can only be at home or shop.
7. For example if you agreed to work for 5years you might see yourself still working for him after 7years with no settlement. I have seen lot of them.

I'm going to be 28 next month. I have seen and experience more, this is all I can say for now. I can't say i am at loss or profit here because I cherish the experience I gained over the year although I didn't get the finance which made to start the journey at the beginning. If I had money I would have just learn the business for less than a year and start my own but such is life. Some of my classmates are doing well while others never see food chop. Some of the females are married with 2 to 3 children. Mine isn't the worst tho. This life no balance.
I just hope this government make things easy for everybody. E come reach my turn to hustle everywhere come red 🔴😂 ..

I thank Se.un for Nairaland o.. Na here I day come read everything including the cruise, bash and banter. SE.UN abeg check if my story na front page material 😁
You refused Oga’s wife’s coded sexual advances and you turned an enemy.

Your old Oga go marry 19year old girl wey come the harass 23year old boy from 2019 till 2024 .

Just make sure you find a way to bang that 24 year old girl. it shouldn’t pass this year for you to off her pant.

if you want to be more brutal to your oga. give him and his wife a present to take care of then come back when the child is very grown to claim it.

People normally have to pay for me to advice them, you should be very grateful i am giving you this wisdom for free. cool
