Politics / Re: Nigeria Is Rich Why Are We Having Food Crisis? by Tajbol4splend(m): 8:34am On Feb 23
The real reason why we are lacking food is because no one wants to go into agriculture again, and more especially because Nigerian youths are lazy, in fact the laziest youths in the world are in Nigeria, the youths no longer want to have an impact, they just want to be beneficiaries, nobody wants to develop themselves, they are always blaming everyone else for the irresponsible decisions they have made in their life, the only thing they are interested in is bbnaija and sex talk.

You may want to argue because of the hardworking 3% of Nigerian youths but those 3% don't represent Nigerian youths, you don't expect these few People to save us, nation building is a collective responsibility

Religion / Re: Atheism Has A Suicide Problem by FRANCISTOWN: 7:39pm On Feb 13
FxMasterz:

If only you can dare to explore more, you'll find after many more experiences that you're still ignorant.

I'm not interested in looking for what is not missing. It's as pointless as looking for spiderman in real life. We both know he only exists in fictions. Same as the spirit/spiritual realm and it's manifestations.

I addressed this in my latest thread that, people are desperately looking for what will solidify their faith in whatever they believe in. Some even go as far as pretending to have the devil's finger in their lives, at least, if there was a devil. There should be a god.

All the stories you shared were nothing but mere wishes or at most, people who had serious mental issues. We've seen lots of it on TVs. Those things were nothing special. I thought you were goin to say you took God out for dinner. At least, Yahweh drank tea with someone. Tomorrow he is visiting the favourite Amala spot at Shitta. My people at Ojuelegba, remain anticipating. The aroma of hot Gbegiri soup has reached the high heavens.
Don't be like the one who offered a cup of tea without bread.

I do not wish to explore more. I do not waste my time on fruitless endeavors. Watching bbnaija is one of the stupidest things I feel any Nigerian can do, but I'd prefer I see it and get angry within myself than to waste my precious time exploring the possibilities of this spiritual stuff. Therefore, you are welcome.

Okay! Now, worst case scenario. If your God could answer your prayers and deliver a lady of a supposed "demon" yet, he refused to do shit about kids all over the world dying of starvation and diseases. Anyone who believes in that kind of a god deserves to have their brain checked.

Did you die though? And once again, how does Super Eagles winning or losing have any impact on the nation compared to government policies? Do you even know how dumb that your analogy is? A football team to a nation's government. That's like saying that whoever wins Big Brother Africa or bbnaija is just as important as who becomes Nigeria's President.

How? Football is entertainment, it does not have the same importance as a nation's leader.

Your suggestion is useless. You picked out one of our best players in this tournament, one of our best players in years. And you did not even support your post with anything valid aside your feelings.

Madam, the ordinary Nigerian is more concerned about the SE than about whoever wins Nigeria's sham elections. Did you hear of anybody who died of heartbreak after Bulaba was declared winner?

Wait a minute. Did you just ask how Super Eagles' winning or losing affects my life? Did you even process that in your head before typing it?

Did you not read of the people who literally died watching SE vs SA? Do you know the level of emotional investment that I have in the SE? Do you know the distance I trekked this night risking my life and safety just to watch this match? Do you know the kind of trolling I am going to chop from bad belle Africans?

So I did wrong by suggesting improvements to a team that 200 million Nigerians, including myself love so much?

Wallahi, Safari, you fall my hand.

Politics / We Need Vigilante Groups Like ‘issakaba’ To Address Insecurity Challenges In Nig by SoNature(m): 10:10am On Feb 03
Popular film director Lancelot Imasuen has expressed the need for the government to engage the services of the local security outfits to address the rising wave of insecurity in the country.

The filmmaker made this appeal against the backdrop of the remaking of the action-packed thriller, “Issakaba’ , which was first produced in 1999 amid resounding ovation.

“Issakaba” was inspired by real life events. It was an action-packed thriller that chronicled the activities of a community vigilante group called Bakassi Boys fighting against armed robbery and other crimes. It also depicted the activities of armed gangs terrorising shoemakers in Aba and the resolve by the shoemakers to fight back using the mystical power as against conventional means of policing and they got the needed results. ISSAKABA stands for truth and justice and fairness.

The plot revolved around the Issakaba Boys, led by Ebube (Sam Dede), who had to fight against armed robbers who terrorized their society. The armed robbers possessed certain mystical powers in their robbery activities. Because of this, Ebube and his team of Issakaba boys also acquired capabilities that enabled them to fight against robbery. The movie was full of action, horror, and drama. Lancelot posited that given the rising cases of insecurity in the country today, there’s an urgent need to engage the services of vigilante groups like ‘Issakaba to restore peace and tranquility in our local communities. “Looking at the level of insecurity in the country today, there is no better time to remake Issakaba than now,”Lancelot said. .

According to him, “when the reboot is finally released, it will definitely return the heydays of the movie industry and perhaps, provide the needed bridge between the old and new Nollywood.

Speaking further, Lancelot said the reboot became necessary following popular demand by lovers of the movie on all social media platforms, a call he couldn’t ignore anymore.

“Even notable comedians and musicians including Davido have continued to use the word Issakaba in their songs which has continued to garner huge popularity. “The feeling is indescribable, the name Issakaba that was coined by the makers of the movie has become a household name in Nigeria and beyond. I feel personally fulfilled that an artistic expression of mine has continued to garner such massive popularity. Comedians, music stars find it difficult to conclude their works without mentioning Issakaba.”

Already, the internet is buzzing as Lancelot recently unveiled a star-studded cast of the reboot, and the list will shock you. Fillers from the industry, also indicated that the reboot will definitely be one of the best movies to come out of Nollywood this year.

Sam Dede, who played the lead character as Ebube in the first production and Chiwetalu Agu are making their comeback again. They are joined by the likes of Chidi Mokeme, bbnaija Phyna, Regina Daniel, Nosa Rex, Iyabo Ojo, Sanni Danger Alex Osifo, popular content creator Mark Angel. Others are Francis Onwochei, Charles Okafor, Ben Olaye among other Nollywood greats.
Produced by the late Nigerian filmmaker Chukwuka Emelionwu, and Moses of Mosco production, the five-part movie was a household favourite in the early 20s.

Other actors that starred in the movie then were Pete Eneh, Amaechi Muonagor, Susan Obi, Mike Ogundu, John Okafor, Andy Chukwu, Zulu Adigwe, Diewait Ikpechukwu, Remmy Ohajianya, Emeka Nwafor, Tom Njemanze, Uche Odoputa and Emeka Ani. The movie project is being sponsored by Lancelot Imasuen Media Network Limited, LIAM studios, WithinDlens Limited and Laho Music worldwide studios Limited.
