Bayern/Dortmund play almost similar patern wt barca only that that Bayern cud be more direct infront of goal.so it will surely be a game of midfield which i don't see Bayern winning the battle as long as busquet,Xavi and don Iniesta are fit not taking anything away from the german midfielders though. My only fear is our defensive woes now which i stil don't know how it would look like.i just believe we can fancy our chances against bayern than madrid for now and i hope Madrid don't make it to final because they will surely win the ucl if they do.

Messi will be out for three weeks. Oh my God! Who will now score for us considering Alexis' poor run infront of goal.we will miss him in the second leg.

It's so painful we gave away two points due to a very poor defending! I hope this injury to our key defender would not haunt us against PSG with their attacting prowess.Thiago was poor and Cesc was worst. Kudos to Messi who gave us something to cheer.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 7:19pm On Mar 30, 2013
So the combination of Song,Thiago and Cesc cannot win us a game! Messi has to be doing a 3-man job.

Pedrol will be out for 10days and will miss the game against PSG.The team is getting smaller each day and i hope this will not have adverse effect on the team as we are approaching the crucial stage of the season.

eyoniggar: Oh well it didnt take a miracle like we cules said. Nice games by the Barca gladiators. I knew Messi would do more damage than expected knowing fully well what his face looked like after scoring the 2nd goal in our last league match. Also,Xavi was fully on point, I feel when our key players are rested, they seem to perform better than usual. Cnt wait for the draws on friday.
Messi indeed did the damage and Xavi was superb. Busquet was great too. But i have come to realize that Messi scores,Xavi passes, Busquet tackles but its don Iniesta that makes the diffrence.whenever iniesta gets it right we always get it well.the greatest attacting midfielder to me by all standards. Luv him so much.

AjanleKoko: Sure. We have to go through them anyway to get to Wembley anyways wink
As long as we are handed Madrid back at some point. We have some business to discuss grin
You r right bro! With the performance of my boys tonight i certainly do not see any team that can stop us again, not even Madrid. They hit us at our worst and the world believes they are that good.bring on any team!

logica: He will be the past if he continues to give away the ball in sensitive areas of the pitch; while trying to be fancy. We keep saying he's young but may find he continues this style of play till he retires. He over elaborates all the time, it's tiring.
I agree with you bro! Thiago should learn from Xavi before he hangs up his boot if he must be the next future. Xavi's millimetric passing and ability never to give the ball away(unless he is fouled) in any situation have made many football pundits consider him the greatest CM of all time.Thiago has the combination of both Xavi and Iniesta's skill only if he would take his time and learn from these legends, then he is sure the future.

Play some of those fellows on the bench. Like Song. Let's even see if he still knows how to play football.

And they had better be ready to try something different on Tuesday. Milan is sure to come to the Camp Nou with a supertanker, not a bus.
I believe they will all be rested save Messi who always wants to play.
And as for the game against Millan i wish Alves could be dropped for Adriano if fit, pique also droped which i really don't see happening,Song should come in for cesc and Iniesta dictating play from the deep with Messi while Villa and Tello running the show upfront. I wish luck would smiled on us.

Mcleo007: The most annoying was the one against Andrade of Deportivo. A slight buckle nudge on his childhood buddy, Deco was the reason he was given the card. This went on despite Deco himself remonstrating that the kick was but a friendly nudge!
Yea!he was the main man at the heart of deportivo defence.his sending off handed mou's guys the victory.try it to mr Mou and you will hear the stories of your life. One of the things that attracted me most to this Fcb is the ability to accept defeat with grace.

BARRISTERS: if madrid won the CL, then will mourinho accept that it is hugely due to the SCANDAL OF THE 'OLD TRAFFORD'? the way he labbeled Guardiola 2 yrs ago saying 'scandal of the benebeu'?
Mourinho had won two ucl but not without poor ref decisions going his way.lets flash back-
In the 200r-04 edition, his porto side were on the verge of elimination in the 2nd round tie with man u.the dominant english champions had a paul scholes goal scandalously disallowed for a non-existent offside decision.porto won the game.
In the 1-0 semi final victory over Deportivo,Jorge Andrade was sent off for playfully kicking at former team mate Deco.the pair unsuccessfully remonstratee with refree Markus merk that they were just fooling around.porto won the match and went on to lift the cup
Fast forward to six years Mou's second ucl triumph-the ref failed to award penalty for a clear last man trip on Kalou by water samuel which could have also resulted in a red card for the Argntine.
In the classic semi-final win against Guardiola Barca,it was Milito's offside goal in milan that ultimately made the difference btw the two not forgetting Bojan's goal that was rulled offsi
"Mourinho may βε̲̣ blessed with the memory of an elephant but he chooses to use it selectively"-Carlos Garnesse.
So if pep had won with scandal the he need to βε̲̣ reminded of the past.

Johnpaul88: Possible line-up (vs Milan):
Valdes - Adriano Puyol Alba -
Busquets Pique Messi Iniesta -
Tello Villa Pedro #fcblive #ucl
[md]

What do u guys think of this line up . I really am very excited to see how it will work . Messi and Pique in midfield? Forwards minus Messi? villa. leading attack? Really exciting prspects!
Good line up! But why not song instead of pique? I believe song stil has the power to battle with the enigmatic italians while stil trying to help the back four against counter attack unlike pique who forgets himself upfront thereby exposing the ageing puyol.
I will like the inclusion of adriano with his shooting prowress and ability to track back unlike alves
Messi combinnig with iniesta and xavi in the mid field will help creat space for villa pedro to run into.
I will be the happiest on earth if we go through!

ddippset: it's just logic except for those that want to be sentimental. that singular event of wrongfully sending off abidal triggered all of those penalty appeals. if a referee makes 1 million wrong calls in a game, the most significant wrong call has to be the first wrong call made-this is logic. ovrebo said afterwards that if given a chance he would have changed so many decisions he made in that match, and iam 100 % that sending off abidal would be one.
I think i still have the report of carlos garnesse,a renowed analyst who happen to be mourinho's fan on the chelsea-barca game after mou's rant in the game of madrid-barca semi final in 2009.
Henry was completely pulled off by carvalho even when peter cesc was already sent d wrong way at camp nou.the ref waved play on and nobody ever said anything on it.
Abidal was wrongly sent off in the 65th min of play at the bridge-i still have the video clip.
Among all the penalty appeals from chelsea it was only that of pique that the ref got wrong and u will agree with me that its not all hand balls the refs see(millan goal against barca this season)
The sending off of abidal made the ref overlook pique's handball and barca played for almost 30 mins with a man down.
The refs are human and are bound to make errors which every team benefits from at one point or the other.madrid were awarded penalty last season even when it was clear that foul happened outside the box and madrid won the league. But it would have been hell had it been barca.

If i were tito-i'll go for a new goal keeper, get one solid cb(puyil is getin old)give montoya more playin time.and will neva play alves against a very strong counter attacking team.
Xavil is stil good bt thiago should get more time now bring back iniesta to the mild field.
Bring in neymar to compliment messi and play villa as the cf.
Gone are those days when we had three swift and scoring forwards.
I luv this club

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 10:37pm On Feb 27, 2013
In my opinion-we seem not to be learning from our mistake.what was alves always looking for upfront whithout making any meaningful inpact on the attack leaving ronaldo a whole lot of space to run into?
Why would our defenders play so deep when they know we are vunerable to counter attacks?
Must fabregas always start a match of that calibre taking note his recent poor performance?
I just wish we could learn from the loss to avoid another bashing in d coming games.

I don't see us going through against milan with this our defence that has not been able to keep a cleensheet even against weaker teams.we seem to concede easily whenever we are attacked even the pairing of puyol and pique has not helped as expected.i just hope the likes of messi and iniesta can take the game into their hands and help overturn the huge deficit.if i were Jordi Roura/Tito i wud play villa and messi from the wings and use cesc as false nine play iniesta from the middle and play adriano as right back.bring in tello as sub and instruct pique never to overlap unneccessarily.

i am so much eager to see jordi Alba in that beautiful jersy knowing fully that he's catalan and barca product. I also wish we could sign Thiago silva from Milan to cover up for our defensive flaws knowing well that we lost last season to defensive problems.(puyol, abidal, pique were injured for most part of d season).with the injured players such as Villa,Afelay and Pedro gaining fitness coupled with our young products coming up,we will regain our supremacy in the world of futbal.

AjanleKoko: Cules,
Some mixed news. Rumours are rife that Pep has decided not to renew. He's having lunch with Rosell today, and will meet the players afterwards.
A press conference might be called tomorrow Friday.
I say mixed, because though I am sad he's not staying, I think he needs the break from the pressure. He doesn't have the stomach for the high-pressure top coacing environment. I certainly do not see him going to Chelsea, though if he does, I wish him well.

His replacement? Rumours are also rife that it is none other than the very intelligent and charismatic Laurent Blanc. If that happens, that is an excellent choice. I totally respect Blanc, he was a leader on the pitch, and is a very astute fellow. At Marseille, they called him 'Le President'. He's a Beckenbauer type of figure.

the major problem with the team this time is fatigue.there has really been no time for the guys to rest.after they conquered the world in world cup, they still went ahead and won all the major trophies for the club.Messi went to the copa america and came back with no time to rest.they played in six competitions with the relatively small squad which really exposed the team in the time of injuries.

Am so sure the team will bounce back with or without pep only if more legs could be brought in in addition to the younger ones.

But i will be so dissapointed if messi loses the ballon d'oer to ronaldo.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 1:45pm On Apr 25, 2012
i think messi was the one that cost us the game

he gave away possession that led to chelsea goal in london

he missed a penalty that could av killed off the match

he was less enforcing as usual

but i will never castigate him cos he's human and already looks tired coupled with the overdependence on him.

he still remains the best ever but am afraid he might have just lost the ballon d"or to ronaldo

it was at most a yellow card this analyst i dont know where u got ur own rule to call it yellow card even john terry has admitted that it was worth red card after watching the replay.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 12:49pm On Apr 25, 2012
i luv barca with passion. but i belief our poor form this season is down to overconfidence. Pep believed he could make do with the relatively small squad we have.his failure to buy a central defender, finding an alternative to David villa, over rellaince on Messy and his negative approach to some mathches really cost us the season.we played against madrid with no striker albeit the fact that he has already lost the league with his words and belief.
solutions-
1-sign thiago silva and jordi alba to bolster the defence
2-sign a prolific top striker to ease messy of the burden
3-give messy so rest inrespective of his duel with cr7
4-learn to play without messy.

am not happy not because we lost the league and ucl but because we lost them to mourinho which will give him more power to talk up his nonsence.
