Happy new year guys, wishing everyone a great and prosperous year!

There are many Nigerians doing well really. But the numbers are just so infinitesimal when compared to the middle class, lower class, the power and the extremely poor ones.
I strongly agree that over 90% of Nigerians will never have 160M in their lifetime.

Raumdeuter, what do you think is responsible for this sudden Man City's collapse? Are we going to see Pep sacked or will he just walk away? Even JarusFC now stands a chance of rubbing them in the mud.

Doesn't matter. You guys can still sew him. He needs to join those prisoners to start eating watery beans.

I am sure he is a wicked warden because such mistake can only be caused by overzealousness and trying to appear tough.
I just don't trust any Nigerian officer with gun. Give the FRSC gun and see them become something else on the highway.

He was said to be shaking and crying. His saving grace was that the judge had vacated his seat and the court dismissed by then.

I don't trust Nigerians with gun
my sister escaped death today from accidental discharge by a Prison warden who took prisoners to court. The officer was said to have cucked his gun when the prisoners were alighting from their black maria only to suddenly hear a gun shot.
The bullet got stuck in the court building block an inch beside my sister's head.

And u think the lecturers in Ikere Ekiti who earn 200k have drivers they pay out of their 200k salary ?

I served in a Ubity school in the north and some level 16 officers who own cars no get driver . The only person that had driver was the principal who was a level 17 officer whose driver and domestic staff were being provided by the federal government .

In this present Naija , u can never pay a driver and maid out of 200k gross family income . Lai Lai !
Well said. 200k earner anywhere in Naija today is only struggling to exist and not living.

Those remote places have College of Education, Polytechnic etc some of the lecturers there earn that much in salary

There is a college of education in Ikere Ekiti, In Azare, how much do you think they earn as lecturers there. There are FG Unity schools in places like Ikirun, Ipetumodu, New Bussa, okigwe, all these places have banks too
As a matter of fact, I doubt if there's anyone earning 200k anywhere in Naija today that can actually afford to buy a decent car without any other additional income unless he is gifted.
Someone bought a pencil light Toyota for 700k in 2013 and sold it for 1.4M in 2024. That's the kind of car a 200k earner can afford to buy in Naija of today after months of savings and collecting loan from office. Pray tell, how would such person afford to hire a driver.
Like I said before bro, you are still viewing this country with the wa it was when you were here. Na we wey dey here fit tell the story.

What you spend on fuel depends on how much you use the car, the distance you drive to work in 1 day is what some people drive in 1 week and some in 2 weeks
Some towns the motorable roads in the entire town can be driven in less than 1 hr. So his fuel expense can't be as much as yours

The FAAN guy can make more than that because of opportunities but some people in similar jobs don't have such opportunities. Or won't take such opportunities maybe due to fear of prosecution or religious beliefs

Do you believe there are teachers in Lagos who earn 40K per month? Bachelors degree. and drivers who earn 30k a month? So what do you think these people will earn outside big cities

Underpayment for Labor is very common in Nigeria especially in the interior states. 200k in some places will make you a king. Nigeria is big and vast. Think of the village or town you did NYSC and how much they earn on average in those places. While some olosho dey collect 200k for overnight in Lagos, in some places na 2k for the same

This is a Lagos advert offering 30K for teachers. Do you think any opportunity for side income go dey for teachers?
https://www.nairaland.com/7993682/primary-secondary-teachers-urgently-needed
Bros just drop this argument abeg!
The scenario you are painting is that of Nigeria of may be ten years ago. You can argue that someone earning 200k in some parts of the country can leave a decent life but not the kind of life that can have a driver and maid on his payroll.
It's obvious you don't know how bad situations have become in Nigeria. Where will a man working in those remotest places you are referencing get a job of 200k per month? From which company exactly?

Prosecutor - Mrs F was killed by Fulani Herdsmen
Judge: How did you know they are Fulani herdsmen

Prosecutor: See their pictures. Are these not Fulani herdsmen?
Judge: from pictures can you determine who are Fulani herdsman is? if I provide you 10 pictures of Nigerians, can you identify the ones who are Fulani herdsmen and those not.

Prosecutor: But their names are Mohammed, Usman, Lawal
Judge: Are these names peculiar to Fulani herdsmen alone? If I provide you with people not Fulani herdsmen with these names?

Prosecutor: The eye witness claimed they were Fulani herdsmen
Judge: And the eyewitness account of identity are dependable how? If I show you 4 people can you as an eyewitness tell their identity?

See how the arguments have been rubbished easily
The same way you can easily turn the amala the other way and argue in favour of the matter. I hail your energy ooo.

But on a serious note, it was obvious baba Tinubu no try for that matter all in a bid not to displease some certain forces then.
But now that baba is fulfilling his dream as the GCFR, much is expected from him. He is not doing well so far.

Its simple logic. Do you have any part you have an issue with? I am sure if you think about them you can see the absurdity

e.g knowing peoples ethnic group and occupation by their looks, Names(religious names) and because they spoke a language thats spoken by half of Nigeria
No sir!
I am just always surprised at the way and skills by which you defend anything Tinubu.
Does it mean this man can never be wrong?

This is me just thinking aloud!
Herbert Wigwe was never a politician and yet, his funeral witnessed so much dignitaries far and wide. Even Gov. Akeredolu who passed on as a sitting governor never had so much dignitaries attend his funeral.

The tributes of the driver and the PA were all I needed to conclude he lived a life of impact. Only if our politicians can think, retrace their steps and start living for humanity, then Nigeria would be a better place.

One funny area people are not paying attention to in this cashless policy issue is the excessive bank charges.
Imagine buying puff puff worth of 150 Naira, the buyer is charged heavily on the transfer of 150 while the seller is also charged 50Naira for receiving just 150Naira. How does the seller make gain after losing 50Naira on every transfer he receives?

If they so which they can turn iniesta to a striker or supporting striker for i care but they should be ready to tell us why Debruyne/Fabregas isn't greater than modric/xavi using the same stats. Why Gerrard isnt better than Zidane using the same stats and also considering Gerrard played in a much deeper role.
It's all agenda from a very smart guy whose opinion is well respected here.

This debate has been on for years. The egbon had to tell us his perception about Iniesta being the best player in the world changed over time due to age and many other factors.
Ibime is a smart and very knowledgeable guy who can go any length to drive his agenda.

Guys here should know that this same Iniesta was the best player in the world to Ibime until the UCL goal against Chelsea happened grin

Argentina playing poorly so far. No cohesion. Laboured in possession.
Is this how they hope to win the world cup? They might not even qualify from this group if they continue playing in this awkward way.

Funny thing is I feel Pep got his subs right.
Mahrez scored.
Gucci had a goal cleared off the line and was unlucky with the second, Courtois saved it fortuitously.
Prior to those subs KDB was nonexistent in the game.
I understand that great players need just one moment of magic but then it was 50-50 and this time Pep was just unlucky.
I stopped defending Pep last season when he finally got to the UCL final and lost it to Chelsea with his over tinkering tactics. Imagine bottling a two goal lead in less than five minutes when he has another chance of reaching the final?. I don't see that as being unlucky anymore....

I have had enough of Dembele, he can pack his loads and leave. How could a left footed player be so bad at shooting? He has never impressed me for once.
