There's something I don't understand from the rescue operations of the Oyo kidnap victims and sketchy details provided by the government on it.

The military officer that was mentioned as deceased in the course of the rescue operations has his date of demise as 6th June 2026 , while the victims were officially rescued on 10th July 2026. There's like over a month gap between the officer's date of death and the eventual rescue of the victims.

Is it that there was a rescue attempt on 6th of June 2026 which failed resulting to the officer's death before another rescue operation was launched circa 10th July 2026?

They are quick to show us the remains of the soldier who lost his life but failed to show any picture of the bodies of the neutralized terrorists nor the ones arrested as claimed.

Well, all that matters now is that the guys are back, that's enough for us to cheer with

It's quite obvious that many don't really understand the message. As at late last year when there was an uproar about US threatening the Naija govt over insecurity, Pastor Adeboye said.." if I may advise the GCFR, I will say, order the service chiefs to eliminate the terrorists in 90 days or resign, don't just eliminate the terrorists, but go also after their sponsors". He never meant Baba Emilokan should resign but the service chiefs if they fail to deliver.

Everything to him is politics. That explains why he waited for 2 weeks after the kidnap incident in Oyo before he sent a delegation there and deployed forest guards.

One can make deductions just by his body language.

It is just unfortunate some people will still queue in the sun next year to vote this man to continue to preside over the affairs of this country.

Wether people go out to vote for him or not, he already has almost 11Millions votes locked down through the yeye primaries APC did. That numbers were not meant for the primaries but to remind you that they have over 11 million registered card carrying members next year when they eventually write the elections results.

As long as we still have people supporting and defending this government even in the face of this carnage, attack on the citizens and the unprecedented hunger in the land, I doubt if the government would ever take responsibility.

Shebi Ur own workable solution was for Jonathan to have prosecuted Buhari's supporters who caused mayhem under Jonathan's government, so the workable solution we are suggesting is for Tinubu's government too to not only rescue kidnapped victims within record time, but prevent future kidnap incidents.

The title GCFR is not just a prefix added to Tinubu's name nor a title paid for like "Jagaban", it is a damn title that comes with responsibility!

Time and things have changed sir! In the days of Jonathan, governors were not receiving security votes. So, the buck stopped on his table then. But now, the governors are receiving heavy pay from the removal of subsidy, so the buck has been passed to them as well. What an irony!

Make I give you some context. ⬇️

I live in the capital city of the state. The university is in a rural community about 50 - 60 mins drive away. I no dey stroll from my home to the office.

Over 97% of staff live in the capital city and commute to work from there because staff accomodation on campus is almost non-existent. The few units that were built some years ago were cornered by the big ogas which they sublet to others at exorbitant rates.

The university community is not quite as developed. The power situation is terrible in the community (but my uni get steady light cos of solar plant wey GEJ give us when hin establish am )

Even young bachelors that started off living in the community eventually move to the capital city especially after marriage and when their kids want to start school to have good options.

Soft life no dey lecturing like that. Even now, as my uni dey semester break, I get over 500 scripts to mark across three courses with deadline to deliver. I get project student's wey I dey supervise, and read & correct their thesis

As per family levels, its just me & madam with our three kids, no domestic help or relatives living with us. Make I even yarn you sef, na me do omugwo for my wife when she drop #2 and #3.

Also, I do a lot of chores to keep the home running. Na me dey do dishes, Na me dey do school runs mostly. Na me dey sweep and mop house. Na me dey bathe kids morning and night. Na me dey iron clothes. Na me dey assist kids with assignments etc

Bottom line, I put in a lot of work in my job, and in the home. Nothing like soft life for my side. I no dey hypersexual and knacking no dey rule my mind. There are weeks I go without it. Oya, be disappointed.

If the army is only getting paltry 7% disbursement for procurement of arms and equipment out of the 2025 budget, does that not tell a tale of gross underfunding ? Even at a time when the government claimed it had surpassed its revenue target and data boys celebrated same on social media?

They will tell you to go and ask your governors as if the governors were the ones who declared subsidy is gone!
Even though I never supported this baba Emilokan for many obvious reason, but I never could have imagined his administration would be this abysmal.

Don't you then think the issue was with the Oga that gave the order and Wike should have directed his displeasure at the boss rather than insulting the young officer carrying out his assignment albeit professionally?

Are you implying that the officer should have disobeyed his Oga's order and allow Wike and his entourage access or how best do you think he should have handled the matter?
Bearing in mind that even the CDS (a 4star general) didn't stand down the order after hearing from the officer.
