What a match!
If Tores is not over hitting to balloon the ball into the sky, he will be under hitting just to pass to the keeper. His positional awareness is the only thing worthy of note. He needs to brace up.

it's nice to see many Chelsea fans now having divergent view with Ibime grin
gone were the days when he would hold a view and every other shekpite will be queuing behind him except a certain Nihilist. Nihilist remains the only soldier that was/is able to match Ibime with words, tactics, craze, amala turning and what have you. those days used to be bloody until they both reached a truce. Ibime has a smart and tactful way of laundering his agenda, only Nihilist has his passcode grin grin grin

Terry they called world class
Rio world class
Cashley world class
Gerrard world class
Rooney world class
Beckham world class
Lampard world class

So 7 world class players out of 11 is not enough to make a semi final?
Yes sir, it is not enough.
you need tem world class players and a world class coach to compliment the efforts of a world class Lampard to make room for a good balance that could at least reach a semi final.

England did not have a top 9 (Crouch, Darren Bent, Defoe) and did not have wingers (Joe Cole, Kieron Dyer) and lacked a good DM apart from the tournament in 2006 when Hargreaves was fit.

All England had was good defence, good AMs and Wayne Rooney.

No team can be successful without good balance.
England had good defence, good AMs and Wayne Rooney and could not succeed while having the great Lampard because of no good balance. But Pep team succeeded because of Xavi and Messi. How could two players provide the needed good balance for Pep while many players together with the exceptional Lampard could not provide same for their country?

Should everyone earning 53k and below turn to crime? That will be around half of our population if not more. Let's know now because people don't need guns to turn criminals

If their justification for terrorizing citizens is the failure of the government, then there are millions others that are in this category and can turn to crime too. If they need us to protest on their behalf, they should ask.
There is absolutely no justification for what SARS have reduced themselves to. There is hardly any arm or sector in the civil service that is well paid or well taken care of.
should the Medical doctors be injecting their patients to death because they are not well taken care of(at least, they also have the tools they can use)? should the teacher be flogging their students with to death just because they are underpaid? Just as you have rightly pointed, the government has failed all Nigerians, should all then result to haunting down innocent citizens due to government failure? Those criminals must be eradicated first...............

I honestly wouldn't blame Messi for wanting to leave the club he has played out his heart for. The board has obviously been the worst I have ever seen in recent time. The useless board obviously wasted the genius prime years by their abysmal signings and lackadaisical attitude.

I personally wish and hope the President and his board vacates the seat of power while Messi stays to help groom the team while the club starts planning for a life after the football god as he is being gradually phased out. Messi and probably Pique (with limited role) are the only Players I would like to still have out of the group of the old guys around.

However, should he decide to leave which he is justifiably entitled to, I would love to see him reunite with Pep at City. the genius deserves to enjoy football again before he finally hangs his boot. But, the club will surely miss and suffer the loss for a while and the situation can only be salvaged with a good coach and the right board and not the shameless ones we have around.

I have not absolved Enrique of any blame for his blunders this season. His insistence on playing your right hand man 'Arda' in the midfield is even enough to heap lots of criticism on him. However, we have always criticised Neymar for his poor performances this season without blaming Lucho's tactics for his poor form, Suarez' poor run of form has never been hinged on Lucho's poor tactics while nobody can relate Gomez and Rakitic's inability to string passes together just to save their lives to Lucho's incompetence. Therefore, I wouldn't relate Messi's display last night to Lucho's poor tactics too. Messi on his day, even when played as a defender would have done better. He shares same blame with Neymar for letting us down even though the coach had his own fare share of the blame.
Some of us have been talking about Suarez poor form as far back as 2016. this is 2020 for God sake, and some still want him phased out gradually because he is a legend.
well this is Barca, I actually gave up on the board the day they brought in Lord Paulinho grin there is nothing impossible with them they can even give Suarez a life contract.

Suarez has been off it since the season started. I was just shaking my head when your guy was rating him based on the equal number of goals he has with Messi then. Messi that was absent for two months grin
He surely needs to get back his old self as we are approaching the business end of the season.
Stats do not always tell the full story......I can remember when some felt Suarez was doing well as far back as 2017 because he was getting some goals. He would disappear in matches where you need him most (UCL), and score some nice goals in league matches and his sins would be forgiven.

a true legend of the game should KnoW when to bow out honorable and not be holding his dear team to ransom. Baba should be the first to leave, he has paid his due.

What is so special about Ogbomoso that you all shout about? I attended school in Ife the spiritual home of Yorubas for over 5 yrs and all their fables and prowess of how strong they were during Ife Modakeke crisis was resolved when the military guys came into town and everyone of them fled when they saw life bullets
Now, I agree with you that there's nothing special about OGbomoso. But, that's not the only point raised that needs your attention.

As a Christian, how did you come about believing a certain God wose picture you have never seen?

What's your stand on Jesus as the only son of God and the circumstances surrounding his birth?

Who is this baba that did you step-over? grin
grin Na baba Raumdeuter oooo.

I don't have any issue with whatever an Atheist has to say about God, miracles, good and evil...

But a Christian that believes in the essistence of God that nobody has ever seen?...... That's called faith. And the Bible defines faith as "assurance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen".

There are so many accounts of miracles, evil and mysteries in the Bible. He needs to tell us the ones he believes are true and the ones that are doctored.

The bible says.... And God said let there be light, man was even created from the dust, that God also created both good and evil, King Saul approached a sorcerer to help invoke the spirit of Samuel, lots of miracle performed by Elijah and Elisha.........

Then, the mystery surrounding the birth of Jesus, his miracles and his words of passing down power to those that believe in him to perform even greater miracles, down to the Apostles and their exploits....
Baba needs to tell us the ones he believes.

I also learnt baba is from OGbomoso, the same town that houses Lautech that I attended for five years?

Abeg baba, you still neva answer the question about ur newly themed Jesus and his principles or rather his words/acceptance regarding false spirit.

The bible to back up ur "newly themed Christianity" is also needed..

Thanks
The same baba I asked to show the evidence he saw to believe Jesus was born by a virgin without sexual intercourse?
Or any evidence to show the existence of God that he believes in?
God said let there be light and there was light.... Does he just believe without any documented evidence or it's part of what he believes was erroneously passed down from people to people?

What exact part of the Bible does he believe in so that we can subject it to scrutiny?

Unless baba would answer tomorrow.......
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by sebod(m): 11:04am On May 17, 2020
You are a Christian, that means you believe in the existence of God. That means you believe that God created heaven and earth by just saying let there be light.... It means you believe he has a son called Jesus Christ and surely believe there's someone called Satan.
Really? Has there been any video evidence to show where God created the heaven and the earth?
Have you been shown any video of how marry conceived without sexual intercourse and gave birth to Jesus?
Or should we wait for you to tell us how you got to know the existence of God and the parts of the Bible you believe and the evidence to back it up since you don't believe in everything written in the Bible?
Kindly tell us the ones you know are true with evidence to back it up.

Raumdeuter, I respect your opinion sir, I would just appreciate if you could honestly answer the above.

No No No

This postulation is not about Messi.
I just used him for an example because he's the most common victim of the "when it matters most" charade.

Check Ronaldo of last season for Madrid;

If Ramos and Bale didn't perform in the final and they lost the trophy to Liverpool,
Would it be correct to say "Ronaldo failed 'when it matters most' "?
Despite his big moments before the semis?

And I tell you solemnly, even if Messi delivered another masterclass against Liverpool and made the finals;
And then went on to have a bad game in the final against Tottenham and lose the trophy,

Wouldn't you say Messi failed when it matters most?

Look at Ajax this season for instance!

Dispatched giants like Real Madrid and Juventus and lost to a very poor and inferior Tottenham side.

Should the "when it matters most" singers shy from saying that Ajax (or De ligt) failed when it matters most?
Just because Totteham is not a big as Real or Juve?

People who use that clause do not do it because of the strength of the opposition, they do it because they just must troll a superstar who just got knocked out,

Be it a Messi, a Ronaldo or a Neymar.
So, because I used the clause, I am now trolling Messi? You mean Sebod is trolling Messi? That's funny really.
Last season, the excuse was that Mr. EV did not rest the players after bottling a 3goal lead. They were rested this time around and I saw my captain who happens to be the greatest and bestplayer on the field missing the simplest of chances while thereafter strolling on the pitch waiting for the ball, and you want me to spare him the rod? What makes Messi immune to criticsm bro?
If you are happy with what's happened in the past outings in the UCL, I am not bro. I rest my case.

Tesppidd, this post was made some two years back.

I am sure you were not also expecting any good thing from Suarez going by what he has been serving us for the past two years expectially in the UCL just like me.
Talking about when it matters most which you claim never to want to hear, a lone goal was all that probably mattered most in that match, and the best of the scoring chances was gotten by the GOAT who has been the burden carrier of the team, but he chose to blow it not minding the stupidity of the useless player that passed to him.
And afterwards, I saw my captain strolling on the pitch waiting for the ball and wearing a depressed look after every Liverpool's goal. And you want me to praise him? He got all the praises when he did well in the first leg and should get the stick when he let me down in the second leg.
