Well said... Honestly.

But you know the problem with this post of yours? It's that when it really matters, the aforementioned teams tend to disappoint especially at a stage as this.

Meanwhile, aa per the Liverpool vs City game. I would disagree about the Stones thingy. Yeah, Stones was horrible in that first goal, but admittedly, he wasn't the reason Liverpool scored the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Infact, if not for them missing sitters, then it would have been over at HT. Not to undermine City though cause I always said if they had a minute added to time alloted to them by the ref after the 90mins, they would have drew the match. Just that, Madrid surely knows how to take advantage of certain lapses like those of City's.

Anyway, it remains to be seen what will happen here-from, but then, Madrid might just get a Liverpool or a City in the next stage. Let's just watch and see.
I agree with you here.

If City can take the game to Madrid the way they did against us in the return leg then it will be a total tug of war.
Let's just relax and see how things pan out from here. The first step is to get the job done come next week. Hopefully our boys will do us proud.

Despite appearances,I'm actually a very good coach o..Really though I agree with most of what you typed up there,City are actually Challengers mainly because of Pepito but they have their Weakness too..Mainly have your attackers running at their center backs, their center backs are very very vulnerable..We saw Liverpool expose that to perfection..Overall though point is anyone can beat anyone and we won't have a clearer picture until the Semis..I'm just certain Madrid won't retain the title again
This is just the truth, anyone can beat anyone.

As much as it would be wise to give credit to other teams in terms of how they could match Madrid, it should also be known over the years they've all failed. Yea, Man City are hot, but they are vulnerable at the back. I watch their games and if a team has enough attacking fire power, they would have it hot, and little wonder their game against Liverpool was a goal fest as Liverpool has the necessary firepower to trouble them at the back.

Now imagine an attack like Madrid's against City's shaky backline... It's gonna be suicidal. Liverpool? As much as one has to give them credit for their attacking intent, playing against Madrid would be a not-too-good experience for them. Yes, they would score eachother, but their back line would definitely be more vulnerable to conceding than Madrid's. What Tottenham did in the group stage they can't repeat against Madrid. Madrid would almost beat them home and away at this juncture. Even the likes of Bayern are a piece of cake.

I reiterate, only Barça have what it takes to take down Madrid. The rest will only try, but they'll fail woefully.
I beg to disagree sir!

City lost to Liverpool because of Stone's error and the injury to Delp which led to the introduction of Danilo. The pairing of Otamendi and Laporte would definitely fare better. That said, Madrid's defence is known to be conceding goals here and there even against the farmers of this world. With KDB in the midfield coupled with the attacking foray of City, they will kill whatever confidence left in Madrid. If there's any team I wish to avoid, that's City. Pep has instilled his style in them. They would press you like mad when off the ball and pass life out of you when on the ball.

Blame Emry and his boys for PSG loss. You can't expect much from a coach that bottled a 5-goal advantage over his rival. Even a team of Barca fans captained by dmcdad and coached by jonsnow92 can't surrender such a lead.

As regards Liverpool, I also believe they stand a chance of knocking out Madrid. Their attacking firepower is better than that of Madrid. CR7 adds nothing to the attack other than....... you and I know that Benzema is a deadwood in attack already. their defence too is nothing better than that of Pool. The strength, ability and agility of Salah, Mane and Firminho would be too much for Madrid to handle.

I can't also write of Spurs at this moment, if they could do it in the group stage, they can do it all over again. There's nothing special about this Madrid team. PSG can only blame themselves for their woes.

My point? Any sound attack minded team with a solid midfield and a decent defence will knock Madrid out in a balanced match devoid of referees one-sided favouritism. Their defence is porous while their attack is not really great.

Just seeing this now. . .

Sincere apologies from the depth of my heart if my rebuttal rubbed you off the wrong way. It's just that since the Sanchez saga ended in our favor, the kind of posts I've read from Pep's fans got me feeling some type of way.

Concerning the criticisms of Pep. I think you've got to get used to it. It comes with the territory. It's the price Pep and other coaches + players must pay for being famous. Every coach or at least most coaches will tell you they've felt bad with the kind of criticisms they've been subjected to.

Wenger has been facing barrage of criticisms, good or bad, fair or unfair, from virtually everybody. Even Arsenal's ex-players have called for his sack. Celebrity fan like Piers Morgan want him out. He gets abused monthly on Arsenal FanTV.

Klopp nko? He's always under pressure. You see the likes of Carragher and Gary on his case, condemning his players, his choice of goalkeepers etc.

Mourinho's own is like everyday greeting.

What about Conte? If you feel Pep gets the worst criticism then you must have not heard about Conte complaining that media is biased towards him.

Papers must sell. Pundits must write. Analysts must scrutinise every move. They get paid that way. It's the source of their incomes. Fans must discuss and dissect their decisions. It's something that's been happening before I was born, it will never stop. It's not different from what Trump or Buhari faces every day of their regins. And even after their tenure, they'd still be talked about. So, long after Pep is gone, he'll still be talked about, his positives, praised; his negatives, laid to bare. Just get used to it.
No problem bro!

I actually got all your points and they are correct. My concern was just about seeing more of City/Pep on United thread than actual United news. I guess we just have to live with it as you have said.

Like Conte like Zidane grin grin grin
Conte, in his first season in Epl won the league, he's now 19points away from the top with his future not yet certain.

Zidane too won the league in his first full season, and now over 19points away from the top with his future hanging on a thread.

who gets the sack first? Time will tell grin grin grin

Last season, Chelsea fans were in more joyous mood than they're currently. Things went well for them and it reflected in their comments. Last season, Barca fans wailed more than they did this season. So it's no rocket science that if United were in City's position, it'd have been a jamboree. Which fans won't be happy that their club are doing fine? What are you trying to achieve with this?

Though I stand with Pep on this issue, it's not about a coach utilising his max subs or not, it's about following the standard long-existing practice of bringing the maximum subs.

You're just talking off point, or simply being mischievous. Even on your thread, you guys talk about Madrid and "Oponunaldo" even while doing well this season. Last season, you guys talked about Madrid. Both here and on Chelsea thread, Pep and City has been talked about before Pep came to EPL sef. Why won't we talk about City, are they untouchable or what? Are they not a football club in EPL? Stop talking like a toddler. Are you not on a United thread talking about another club? Why didn't you say this to that troll Neymar1095 that jumps upandan talking about Pep on every thread? Where were you when Eruditør was discussing anything about Pep from last season till now on other threads?

Nigga, you're a hypocrite, and sad as it is for me to say this, I think this is a general disease amongst Barca fans.
Funny enough, you are one of the few posters here whose post I always admire. I want to assume you didn't get my points right to warrant all these unnecessary bashing.
I take my time to read posts here when I have the time but you hardly see me post. Same applies to other football threads, I hardly troll.

My point? Pep is also human being like us who is liable to make mistakes, step on toes, 'misyarn' at times and offend too. He's not an angel let alone God. So, it's just somehow to me when whatever he now says or does is always subjected to unnecessary scrutiny especially when he's doing fine. I now see more of Pep and City's debate here than that of United.

As regards the bench issue, I applauded your submission as regards him being freed if he's not broken any rule, and if he did, he should be rightly punished.

As regards discussing Madrid on Barca thread, you only emphasised my point. Read it again sir, you will get my point. I claimed what Barca fans were criticised doing then is now what we see every minute on United thread. I don't think there should be any issue on that.

please, if you can check my posts from Barca thread to every other football threads on this forum, I am sure you cant find me trolling endlessly/unnecessarily anywhere let alone engaging in back and forth arguments. I never expected this sort of bashing, not even from a certain Siniza that I regard as one of the posters here with little or no sentiment.
I guess the order of the day now is to gun down any other club fan that posts here irrespective of whatever is posted. Check well bro, not everyone that posts is a troll.

This is a very fair comment. Our fans seem to have developed an obsession with talking about Pep. I thought it was just the usual trolls but our fans have been just as guilty.
I was expecting a serious bashing as usual, but I am glad you got my points well. Kudos.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sebod(m): 11:02pm On Feb 04, 2018
I doubt if a United fan will not be happy if Pep had chosen his club over City and they are 13points ahead of others even if he bought Messi Neymar and co.
I am also not sure if United with Mou as the coach are leading others by 13points even after buying Messi, Neymar and co would attract any criticism from the United faithfuls. I believe everything would have just been said to be perfect.

Pep failed last season and was rightly criticised, he addressed his errors this season and he's doing fine. I don't think he still deserves all these bashings if we are to be truthful to ourselves knowing fully that it would have been a jamboree if united are the ones at the top irrespective of how much spent on which player.

I don't know how and why fielding 6 players on the bench has become an offence really, when we have seen coaches not even utilising the 3 max subs in some occasions.

Gone are the days when Barca fans were criticised of being obsessed with Madrid by always discussing them on their thread. But today, one can hardly read a line here without seeing City this, Pep that. Not even chelsea that used to be the closest rivals anymore.

I want to read more about United and how they are faring when I come here and not about City and Pep biko. grin

i believe we'll eliminate Chelsea but you guys judge football based on one game. The chelsea that was beaten by Bournemouth is not the one Barcelona will play! they Will use a different tactics, probably parking the bus and hitting on the counter. They say every team is as good as their tactics.
I have seen many of their matches this season, Conte seems to have no real tactics other than playing three at the back, two wing backs, two or even three defensive midfielders and expect the rest two/three guys upfront do the magic. I don't even see their park the bus tactics stopping us from scoring as they have also conceded goals this season.

Bro no need to join issues with chelsea fans, both clubs are worlds apart and so are their fans.

We enjoy the technical and tactical superiority of our players, they enjoy the brut and physicality of theirs.

We enjoy the finesse and and smooth flow of our game, they enjoy the kick and run pattern of theirs.

We love our defensive midfielders with an ether level IQ and out of the world confidence, who can control ball in close quarters and dictate play from deep, they like theirs to run round the pitch, clear the ball when he gets it and hit a thunderous shot from outside the 18 yard box.

We like our goalkeepers to be good with their feet, to be excellent with ball distribution, ease defensive pressure and start attack from the back, they like theirs to kick the ball as far as possible from the 18yard box for fear of opposition attackers.

We like our defenders to keep a highline, pressing high up the pitch and neutralizing pressure even before it gets to our own half, they double up theirs and ask them to sit tight, play the ball out at the slightest pressure.

Do not blame them for not appreciating our players, how can they appreciate footballing juggernauts when they are so used to the bakayokos and drinkwaters of this world?

In the next 100years, chelsea will never play like Barca. Even if they want to, they simply will not have players with such capabilities.
So pardon them when they take shots at our players, it is simply a psychological tactics to shift attention from the pretenders at the bridge.
I no dey join issue with them at all, I just want to know if he's changed his mind already after his preferred player is now finding it difficult to break into Wesbrom Team grin
