tesppidd:Calm down bro, why the attack? You and I know that today's football rewards goals/results over individual brilliance and performance. You will also agree with me that Madrid are better placed to win the UCL than the remaining teams if the recent poor refs decisions favouring them are anything to go by. Should Madrid win the UCL(which I am not praying for but have no power to stop), CR7 is winning the award as I am not sure Argentina can win the world cup in Russia and CDR and league trophy alone can't help Messi's cause.(so why not accept the reality already?) That said, CR7 winning 100 balon d'or would never rate him above Messi in my world. I have been watching Messi play from the La masia to Netherlands and till date. Permit me to say you don't love Messi more than I do bro. As regards our poor performance against Roma, I wouldn't know the basis of your attack. Would I have celebrated if we had won? Certainly yes! So what should we do when we didn't play well and still lost? If you are okay with the team and the coach's performance this season, does that mean everyone would be okay with it? So what's the crime in one stating his opinion? Lemme just assume you are still hurt with our loss to Roma, hence the attack. I am also deeply hurt as you are. |
Congratulations in advance to Madrid and CR7. For winning the UCL and the next WPOTY. Cules are pained by the deserved loss to Roma, forgetting that our games this season have been nothing to write home about. The only time we had a nice game in the UCL was in the 1st leg against Juventus. We have been awful ever since then. We have own-goal to thank for seeing us through the group stage, while cheer luck and individual brilliance bailed us out against Chelsea as we were completely outclassed and outplayed. Even in the 1st leg against Roma, we didn't deserve to win, all thanks to same own-goal. It's obvious the team has regressed badly under EV. The only saving grace for him is that we never expected to have a very good season as at the start of the season due to Neymar's departure. Just like last season after our loss to Juve, I castigated the senior players(Messi, Iniesta, Neymar, Alba and Suarez) for failing to utilise their chances while others were blaming the coach. It's just obvious our players can only raise their game when playing against Madrid(little wonder some Cules were clamouring for El Classico semi). Even though the players looked tired, I still believe they could have laboured more to preserve the lead having been so lucky in the 1st leg against Roma. They just couldn't raise the game when it mattered most. Lastly, I have been very careful to talk about the coach ever since he was hired. But, I have been worried all season against his favoured 4-4-2 formation which never seemed to be working as far as I am concerned. His insistence on playing same line ups coupled with his attitude towards some players have clearly shown he's not made for a top club like Barca. How do we explain having a tricky/skilful player on the bench only to bring him on in the 85th minute when you needed a goal badly? I think he's still flattered by the unbeaten run in the league, I pray that ends soon because I wouldn't want such a clueless coach in the history book of my club. He should just win the league and find his level. As for those complaining about the PK awarded to Madrid, it's safe to say they worked hard for it. What did we do to force the ref into making a tough decision? Absolutely nothing! |
There's no point defending what's not, Pep has failed already for loosing against liverpool home and away. |
![]() Lana1:Me self follow like your post. Who would ever believe Barca could bottle a 4-1 lead despite having own-goal bailing us out on several occasions. |
tesppidd:Hmmmmmm, I think Madrid can handle Liverpool wile we handle Madrid ![]() |
What a poor game by our standard, the boys looked tired already. Just give me Bayern in the Semi make Liverpool and Madrid dey sort themselves abeg |
It's Roma guys ![]() |
airmark:Who thunder go fire now bro? Abi na Terry play last night ni? ![]() |
From a midfield of Busi Xavi and Iniesta to Gomez, paulinho and Rakitic in a very crucial match. Nothing really lasts forever. ![]() |
eyoniggar:I am okay with Madrid or Sevilla really, but, you and I know Madrid can't be drawn against a tough team, at least, not for now. Chelsea played well, but I knew they couldn't try the nonsense they did in the 1st leg at the Camp. I knew they would wanna come out and attack which would be their undoing. |
Neimar:I actually meant Roma. Thanks bro. |
Nice game today. Now I need Sevilla or Porto in the next round. We don try abeg. |
Still parking the bus while chasing a game? I have seen it all really. |
EV should just remove Iniesta now if he needs him against Chelsea. |
tesppidd:Pinto own na to punch anybody wey mess up for sideline. I guess he always prayed we had issues with opponents ![]() |
Good result today. Just play me 4-3-3 against Chelsea in the return leg with Dembele getting the starting berth. |
cobhampolice:You can refer him to West Brom to check how Krychiowak shields his defence ![]() |
Yahoo1:I tell you bro, I have to just scroll down at times. |
phaamsaam:The person you quoted was once a chairman on this thread as a Cule to the core. He probably stopped posting here due to all sort of meaningless posts we get to read here these days. Just check the thread from the 1st page to confirm. He's no where a skepite. |
Eruditor:Not as regards anything related to Busi,Morata, Rudiger and co ![]() |
cobhampolice:I am not engaging you over what Busi did right or not. I am only reminding you of how those you once rated have fared thereafter. You wouldn't want Kante to follow suit. |
Eruditor, stop arguing with Airmark over Busi. It's an exercise in futility. Just ask him where Krychiowack, his once upon a time best DM is today ![]() |
From Qouclin to Matic to Nzozi to Krychiowack, all have failed after you hyped them. ![]() |
usbcable:I don't hate United, why should I? I only don't like a manager who plays ati-football, has no respect for other coaches, blames everything and everyone safe himself when results don't go his way, e.t.c I am sure you know there are even United fans who don't like Mou at all and want him leave the club. |
usbcable:Hatred ke? can you honestly tell me you would welcome him back with open arms to your club? |
jonsnow92:We warned United fans then, they wouldn't just listen. They said they wanted a coach that would return them to the top ASAP ![]() |
These sevilla boys are just useless. They should have decided this match tonight but can't just make their chances count. They have themselves to blame when they are eventually eliminated. |
Nihilist is just wasting his time, once ibime dislikes a player/person, he gets blamed even for an error committed by a keeper ![]() Fab might be slow, lethargic and lazy, but was definitely not to be blamed for that goal. Azpi, with all his experience shouldn't have gone for a slide with a very skilful iniesta heading his way after Chris has made a woeful error already. |
I actually missed Neymar yesterday seeing as Kante was always on Messi with at least three players behind him to provide cover in case Messi goes past him. Neyboi would have ensured guys were drawn to himself while freeing Messi to wreck havoc. Rakitic's 1st foul that earned him a yellow card was very tactical and he should be applauded for that. Other fouls committed were needless and deserves stick. I was hoping EV would take him off, while Pauulinho would move directly behind Messi and Suarez as he did nothing of note trying to cover up for Roberto at the flank, then Vidal would have come in to stretch Chelsea's defence to the wing where he can whip crosses into the box. Then take off Roberto who obviously was very shaky in the second half, bring in Dembele to distract the Chelsea defence by limiting their focus on Messi while Vidal reverts to the RB. Iniesta should be highly praised for that goal. Any other player with no sense of skill could have collided with Azpi and have his leg broken. The don showed while he's still cherished even at that age. I'd rather we go with 4-3-3 in the return leg for obvious reasons. The 4-4-2 deployed yesterday only ensured midfield dominance with little or no penetration. 4-3-3 would stretch them even to the flanks and provide enough room to operate through. |
Was Suarez on the pitch in the 1st half? ![]() |
Cruxifizio:Relax bro, Conte might be right after all. The idea of players proving a point against their ex club might be a good reason to play him. Fab and Pedro will surely be fired up to prove something against Barca. I come dey fear self ![]() |
